THE RAVENS WANT THEIR BIGGEST STAR TO CHANGE SOMETHING HE’S DONE HIS ENTIRE CAREER!

I didn't realize just how significant this was from Lamar Jackson until I saw somebody point it out. Listen to his response when he was asked about working with Declan Doyle on changing his footwork. >> What have you noticed from it? What have you taken away from it? >> Um I I feel like it's, you know, it's helping with the progression. Uh I'm not, you know, hitting my back foot, stand on my back foot too long. It's helping throughout the progression reads within the plays. I feel like it's helped a lot. Did it take any like you've been doing it so long, you know, one way, did it take any adjustment period for you or did it feel funny at first or anything like that? >> Uh just within the plays uh at first, but you know, the the footwork fits the system. So that's why it's it's helping me out a lot. You know, it's helping with the progression. You know, if you're on one route for too long, your footwork could tell you. And that's how pretty much how the footwork, you know, adjustment really helps. Lamar Jackson, a quarterback going into his ninth year, has been working on his footwork with offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. And he continued to highlight in that presser that it's helped it's helped with the progression. It's helped uh with the reads. And he said, "If you're standing a certain way for too long and you're looking at a certain read for too long, your footwork is going to tell you like, hey, it's time to move on." And I love that. But see, I didn't love it enough as much as I should have. My guy Oay, he said the following. He said, "Wo-time MVP, Heisman winner, 185 mil guaranteed. Hopefully that changes soon and goes even higher cuz Eric Dasa and him, they agreed to a deal." But anyway, he said, "And asked to change his footwork and he does." Yet, I'm supposed to believe reports in quotations, he isn't team first or coachable. It's laughable and that is significant. It It says so much about Lamar Jackson. And see my guy O say, he didn't even list all of Lamar Jackson's highlights. He didn't even list all of Lamar Jackson's accolades. He could have went down so much different things that Lamar Jackson has done in this football league, but he kept it to a minimum. But even with him keeping it to a minimum, Lamar Jackson's response, it showed respect to the max and it showed his love for the game uh to the max as well. And it shows that Lamar Jackson is trying to do everything to get this job done and continuing to try to get even better in year nine. See, like some people don't realize that you could have somebody that's been doing something at an okay level and if they make it to year nine and they making adjustments in their game, okay, that's one thing. Yeah, you trying to get back. But it's somebody that's been doing things like Lamar Jackson because he has been one of the best for a while now and he's still willing to adjust. He's still willing to make changes. He's still willing to do things in his game to get even better. And like he said, this is a brand new offense and this footwork, it fits this system. And he ain't giving no push back on it. He wasn't like, "Oh, what I did for the longest, it's been fine." cuz the reporter even asked him about he said how hard was that for you making that adjustment like you you've been having your footwork for years for years. But Lamar is still willing to change. And this just makes me and it should make you that much more excited to watch him and his offense this season. It's going to be fun, man. It really is. I just I really can't wait. But it it it's it shows Lamar Jackson his humility as as well because again two-time MVP should have been three time he pro bowl allp pro all that good stuff he could be like no I'm good I'm straight I obviously know how to make it in this league I obviously know how to play at not just a high level but the highest level I got it I'm good but he ain't do none of that shout out to Lamar. Shout out to Declan Doyle. Shout out to like Jesse Mentor said from Jump, it's all about relationships and communication and it seems as if they continue to have that and we ain't even get this season started yet. Somebody else who has pressure on them to make some adjustments in their game is Ravens kicker Tyler Loop. And he was asked the other day about the Baltimore Ravens signing Jake Moody. And his response, it was interesting, but I appreciated it. Let's have a listen. >> I just I got to focus on what I can control. I was talked to my wife about that a lot. I was like, "Hey, no matter what decisions are made, all I can do is do my best with the task put in front of me." And if I just do that the best I can, I've found a lot of peace in that. And um it's been a you know I'm man of faith and I've been it's a it's a it's the weirdest thing but I almost kind of glad situation's happening. I think it makes everyone better. Um love competition. It's a good thing. Uh you know talk about competition breeds success and um I've had a lot of fun with it. Jake's a great guy. So, it's been fun to be around him and talk to him and uh you know, I've known him before this. So, just having him around has been fun, but I've felt really good about going all in on like one kick at a time. It's been found a lot of peace in it. Um especially just spending time. The verse Colossians 3:23 says, "Whatever you do, do with all your heart is working for the Lord, not for man." I'm just found a lot of enjoyment in that. Like, all right, going all in on this. So, >> Tyler, any extra. >> All right, Tyler. Hey, if if you with it, I'm with it, too. Tyler Loop said he's at peace with everything. He said he knew Jake Moody. He cool with Jake Moody. And he said he appreciates the Ravens bringing in Jake Moody. He said this competition is going to make everybody that much better. And he says just, "Hey, one kick at a time. He going to be all in with it. And hey, let's continue to hope for the best for Tyler Loop. Like, there shouldn't be any Ravens fan wishing like, "Oh man, we hope this guy sucks so we can go get another game." No, we want Tyler Loop to do well. We want Tyler Loop to ball. We want Tyler Loop to find his footing. Pun intended there, but we want Tyler Loop to do an amazing job. So hopefully Jake Moody being on a practice squad that does give Tyler Loop that boost of confidence that a lot of y'all pointed out uh that y'all feel like the Baltimore Ravens coaching staff is trying to do with him. Hopefully it does give him some extra motivation. It gives him some extra accuracy and extra power on them kicks to where he's like, "Look, Jake Moody, you being here is cool and everything, but look, this is my job. I was drafted to do this and I'm going to make it happen." So Tyler Loop, we got you, man. and we know that you got us, too. Prayfully, he remains a part of the new chapter being written. But my question is, who would you see stepping up at wide receiver 2 if Baitman can't play? Well, Baitman will be able to play uh especially early on in the season cuz NFL hasn't done anything yet. Um and he even talked about an oppressor a day or two ago. He said he said I can only say so much about the legal stuff, but he's looking forward to playing uh this football season. Um, but if Baitman for whatever reason, if something ended up coming of that as far as a suspension or anything like that, uh, maybe even by committee, but Jacobe Lane, I think he would be first in line because he's wide receiver three right now. And then TZ Walker, who just recently returned to practice, then he would be uh, moved to wide receiver 3. So, I think it'll be Jacobe Lane at wide receiver 2. Uh, TZ Walker at wide receiver 3. But we would have some hype out there, huh? We had Jacobe Lane like 6'4. We had TZ Walker like 61, 6'2. And so, that that that'd be nice, man. and and they both bring and present different like elements to the passing game. Like Z Flowers ain't nobody gonna be able to stick with him. Z Flowers a yak machine. Z Flowers is gonna make like 20 people miss every single time. Even if a defender is not even on the field, Z Flower is still going to make them miss. Uh and he brings that speed too with Jacobe Lane. He brings that big body, big target, big catch radius. With TZ Walker, he brings a nice catch radius, too. But he brings that speed, man. He going to get down that field, man. So they all bring something different. So that will be fun uh to watch. But yeah, it will be Jacobe Lane at two and then Tez at three. And of course Z remaining at one. Next question came from Jada, another team keep it clean patron, which I appreciate. Thank you very much. She said, "Hey Engraven, hope all is well. Everything is everything. I appreciate you." She said, "From all the offseason content I'm seeing, it seems like this team has so much better of a bond throughout the team." And this major speculation, it almost seemed with the heavy conditioning, the attitude towards rookies, putting players in a doghouse, etc., like there was a culture of players under coaches instead of coaches and players working for and towards the same thing. Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. Now, um, not that I don't think anybody should be under anybody, but there does need to be leadership and and things start with the coaching staff. So, but nobody should feel like, "Oh, man. Um, this is my coach, so I'm beneath them." That that that's the the better way to that I would put it. Um, I don't think anybody should be beneath anybody. Uh, but anyway, continuing. She said, "Felt me at least like Harbaugh had more of an emphasis on authority as a coach. I mean, he didn't even report to the GM and isn't in in why uh I don't believe so. I could be wrong." M see Harbo is that authoritative figure like hey this is what y'all going to do it's my way that's it ain't no conversate and I think you might be right and they have been saying that with the Giants too like Harball got this he running the show is it's his way it ain't no uh I think Joe or Joe Sheen some I forgot what his name is the GM but that's Haw's team so you gota it's like they got a like a play GM there But Hall the one making the decisions. So anyway, hey, shout out to him, man. We still thinking about watching that Sunday night football game, Hall's first game as Giants head coach, and maybe we should all watch it together. She said the team looks like they having fun again. No, they really are. You could tell things are different. Things are fresh. Things are just um seem like there's just a different outlook on everything. And and with a new coach, that's to be expected. Um but it just seems like a lot of play like Lamar said a while back. Well, it wasn't that long ago cuz this offseason ain't been that long, but he said it's a breath of fresh air. So, I think all of the players are feeling that cuz this is different. This is new, but they like, "Hold up. We can get used to this." Next question came from Joel. He said, "And Raven, what's happening, baby? Only three and a half days till our guys finally show us what they got." Yeah. Well, by the time you seeing this video, it should be two and a half days cuz Yeah, we we'll get through Friday, Saturday. Yeah, it'll be two and a half days. Anyway, he said now I'm watching the Seahawks game right now with five minutes left in the fourth and Drake May throwing tuna subs out here. Hey, and look what happened at the very end of that one. Oh, that that is tough cuz it looked it looked like they like it looked like it was going to head to overtime, but it actually looked like Drake May and them they were going to they were going to make it happen even after the the ugly game that he was having. like it seemed like he had had control of that offense and they were like they were moving the ball downfield on that Seahawks defense and they they made Seahawks use all their timeouts and whatnot like they had control man but yeah that man he just made a terrible decision terrible decision and with Drake May I just I don't know and I have not watched every single Drake May snap that he's taken so I can't fully speak on him but I just from what I've seen I just don't see it like that. I just I just don't see it. Maybe in college, maybe he was like because he he I think he was TZ Walker's quarterback if I'm not mistaken. But I just maybe something that I'm missing about Drake May, but I just I I don't see it. Anyway, uh he said, "Seeing the Pats choke like this so far against no dawn at all games shows me how foolish we are to expect all the good teams last year to be the exact same teams when this is the most physical game in the world. One bad injury can have a team looking like the Cleveland Browns." Oh, it sure can, man. He said, "Especially in a fraud year AFC wise last year where all the main stays had a down year. I was also ways pessimistic on this Pat's team this year. Best case, 11 wins and a second round exit. But they're a live dog to miss the playoffs." It also shows me how nice it is to always have your defense better than your offense, no matter if you have Superman at quarterback. I think the Broncos as well won't be close to last year and the main stays will come back, especially or will come back up, especially us. I certainly hope so. I think the Broncos gonna be something though. I do. I think they're gonna be something serious again uh this year too. But we'll see. He said also, "As much as we like the offensive coaches like Kubak, this game makes me even more confident in Jesse and having a defense first team. I think this is the most we've been set up and excited I've been in the Lamar era. And I will be planning a trip to LA for the second time in a six-month period this February." I got say he going back. He going back but this time for the Super Bowl now. Hey, Ravens better be there with you. They better be going there too now. Hey. Anyway, he said just like JSN when he caught that one pass and the Seattle DBs twice. I'm out. Shout out to you, Joe. Next question came from my guy Drew. He said, "Hello, Engraven." Hello, Drew. I think only once. But it was September. And it was September. And okay. No, I've been there twice then. I've been there two times because one, I was there when Lamar got drafted and we were live streaming right from my wife's dad's couch in his house. I was live streaming the draft and watching and I was like, "Oh, that was when Lamar got then Hayden Hurst got drafted, too. Can't forget about him." But anyway, um, another time we were there in September and it was it was before 2018. I forgot what year it was, but anyway, uh we were there and we like walking down and it's it's September. It's not even winter yet and it was cold. I'm like, man, what is going on here? It's crazy. This is the craziest thing. But shout out to Chicago because it it was it was crazy because I we we got there um we got there late at night. We went to we went to to pick up food. I forgot from where, but it just like it felt like everybody was like family, man. Everybody was saying what's up. They were all nice and stuff like that, man. So, I I loved it, man. And then, um going to the city, going to uh is it Midtown? I think it's Midtown. I don't remember for sure, but it was just it was nice being in the it's such a nice downtown, too. Uh Chicago is is it's beautiful, man. It's a beautiful place. And we also did that thing. Not this is it the Sears Tower? Look, I ain't I ain't go with all that stuff. I got a bad memory, too. But where you go all the way to the top and you like stand on the glass floor and you look down so you can see like the whole city like right under you. It's super scary and it's like yeah, you know you're on the glass floor but still seeing everything right under you was scary. I remember stepping on that thing like oh my gosh I was scared. But shout out to Chicago. Let me get back to your question cuz we could talk all day as you know. Anyway, he said he said uh hope all is well with you here from Chicago. Uh there were some storms over here last month which were crazy but anyway oh I'm glad you're good though. I'm glad those storms passed, man. He said, "I wanted to say that I'm I've been so football hungry to watch the Ravens play, but also everybody else uh is going to be watching every team, especially them Rams with Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett on the same team. Makes me think when Beaks come back in the same field as Trey Hendrickson is a combination that I'm looking forward to seeing that nobody is talking about how dangerous that can be." That's Yeah, that's an interesting one. like getting Beaks back, Trey Hendrickson, having Travis Jones, Kus Campbell out there, too. Um, with Mike Green, it just fit, man. So, you right, man. He said, "But in week one, we need to take the dub, but might have a strong start on the season for the first time in a while. Hopefully, we can go to 4-0 in the start of the season. Hopefully. Hopefully that that that 4-0 can double and then eight and0 could double and then they could do plus one go 17 and0 and then win the last four games of the season too and go undefeated. That'd be great. Next question came from my guy Mike. He said I ain't grav here again. Finally got my tickets for Ravens versus Steelers on December 20th. Oh yeah, my guy in the building. He ain't playing. He said I can't wait. We definitely going to put belt to behind. My guy My guy might be hyped because he don't be keeping it clean. He put little little dollar signs, but that Yeah, we could still read it loud and clear. Anyway, he said we definitely going to put belt to behind on them bumblebees. They just don't know it yet. My girl is a Steelers fan. Unfortunately, that's going to be a day for somebody. hopefully for her, but that's He said, "Uh, we be going at it when football season start, but it's all love after football season is over." He said, "I love her, but not her team." What do you think? We beat Steelers at Aushure and the next time we play them, they beat us at MT Bank Stadium, but we definitely going to be AFC Ch. I was wondering if you'd be interested in showing us everything you got and where they came from. If you're okay with showing team keep it clean, that is. Oh, that's like um I mean like it Yeah, stuff has changed quite a bit. Um I we could go little by little like I don't want everything but one one of my favorites though my favorite uh I know we we doing a lot of moving around in this video a lot of back and forth but my favorites are the chains man. These the these are my favorites. So, shout out to them Flock Boys, man. They they showed a lot of love with these, man. I I I love these. They even made one for my son, too. Um that has been my favorite thing. Uh and even there was a time when I had for what Ravens game was it? Was it Ravens and Dolphins? No, no, no. Oh, no. It was Ravens and Rams when we had went up there for Ravens and Rams last year. I forgot to bring my chain. I'm like, man, come on now. And they still say, "Hey, no, we got you." So, they looked out and had gave us this one, man. So, I I I love stuff like that, man. Um, shout out to um shout out to my guy uh The Greatest Escaper, cuz he he he show a lot of love, man. Um, this was another chain that I I I love it, man. I love it. Love it. Love it. Uh, and he he he made this one for me, too. Little team keep it clean one. I ain't even ask for it. He came through and made it for us. So, shout out to him. Um, hey, and this is another one. So, I I I I love the stuff like that is my favorite. I've been wanting to I've been wanting to um hang it up in a background, but I got to like find a perfect spot. Uh we it it's a lot of other stuff too, but but yeah, man, that's some of the immediate stuff that I could grab real quick. Oh, I was just talking about my my my father-in-law, my wife's dad. Um he had actually cuz he he's a Bears fan, but he like he he got a lot of love for the Ravens, too. And and I find that and I I appreciate that about people so much. Like there will be people I know my uncle, he's like that. He's a Dolphins fan cuz he grew up in Miami and stuff. He's a Dolphins fan, but he got a lot of love for the Ravens, too. And it's like by association because and I run into a lot of people like that who I know personally uh who like support the channel and stuff, like people that are family, people that are friends, they'll have their teams, but they they like root for our success and I I appreciate that like crazy, man. So, them supporting the channel, they not necessarily by default, but by association, they become Ravens fans themselves, too. So that's been my wife's dad and and he had got he had brought D like he always like getting Raven stuff and bringing it down from Chicago. He always doing that. So that that man he likes him some Ravens too. But um but yeah, so that that's some of the stuff that I just found around real quick. He said, "I'm looking for an apartment this fall and would like some ideas for how to decorate it with some Ravens memorabilia." And I'm sure the rest of team keep it clean will be interested. Also, he said, "I don't know. I thought I'd ask something different that I haven't seen anyone ask before and kind of take us out of just strictly talking Ravens football and uh what you have in the studio that us team keep it clean subscribers see every day but don't really talk about. I remember we we used it when when we had went up there for the Ravens Titans playoff game from over there flying from Florida to BWI. Got my little Ravens suitcase. Then I had to take that Raven suitcase on the way back after we lost and part of it. So I don't know, man. Um this little helmet um signed by our guy Hollywood. I got this from my guy Dmitri. So appreciate you looking out Dimmitri. Um, so that that's cool. Um, this hat, uh, my mom, she actually after Ravens won a Super Bowl, she has sent me this hat. She sent me and my wife this hat and then we for a Ravens and Dolphins game. Uh, after the game, uh, we had went to where the Ravens Busters was at and some of them like signed a hat. Uh 32. I'm sure that's the uh James Um who else signed it? I I I can't read any of the other of the other signatures, but yeah, man. So that's some stuff in the background. Um drop it. There was a company that had reached out two years ago. Oh, no. Three. well, in 2023. Um, and they were like, "Hey, if Lamar Jackson wins the MVP this year, uh, we're going to make a select few of these footballs and send them out to some people. Would you like it?" And I forget who the company was, but I I do love this football. So, this is in the back. It has Lamar Jackson stats from every single game uh right here. And on the flip side, uh it has some NFL records that he had broken at that time. Some career highlights that he had broken at that time. Obviously now, uh if you try to put all his highlights and records that he's broken, it's taking up the whole football. It ain't going to be no room for it. But I love this football so much. I really do. It's I love it. It's it's it's like one of the coolest things. Um and it's just it's fun, man. So that's that. Oh, this Let me see if I can find the the card because this Yes, got it. The only thing that he is not sure about, which he said right after this, he said, "When we get to the Super Bowl," he said, "I hope we play against the Rams." So he said, "Hey, on our end, we going to make it there. We going to take care of business." He said, "Hopefully the Rams do, too." Anyway, he said because in Aaron Donald's whole career and all his sacks, Aaron Donald has never sacked Lamar Jackson. So, I would definitely love to play the Super Bowl against a player I know has no chance of getting a sack. How you like them apples and love to the team? I wouldn't say has no chance of getting a sack, but um you you know he got a healthy respect for Lamar Jackson. It's vice versa, too. Now, um you cannot say the same about his teammate Miles Garrett cuz Miles Garrett has sacked Lamar Jackson a lot because he go against him obviously two times a year of being on the Browns. So Miles Garrett has a lot of experience uh with Lamar Jackson and now he has somebody and just really an entire team that around him that's so much better than anything that the Browns had ever produced.
