Video summary
The Baltimore Ravens recently suffered a significant setback following joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings, where center Danny Pinter tore his patella tendon and will likely miss most or all of the upcoming 2026 season. This injury is particularly devastating because Pinter had been impressing during camp and was on track to earn a starting role after struggling in Indianapolis previously. However, the Ravens' front office had wisely prepared for this contingency by bringing in competition such as undrafted rookie Nick Dawkins, veteran Jovon Gwyn, and Corey Bulock, ensuring they have depth to overcome the loss despite the blow to their roster.
Amidst these challenges, the video highlights the promising rise of rookie third-round pick Jacobe Lane, who is proving himself as a reliable receiver capable of making plays against top-tier defenses like that of Justin Jefferson. Lane has consistently shown improvement from practice sessions without pads to his debut in a preseason game, earning significant trust from quarterback Lamar Jackson and securing substantial playing time. Additionally, the secondary appears confident following intense drills against elite receivers, with players like Marlon Humphrey and Val Con demonstrating strong performance, suggesting the team is well-positioned to handle the adversity of Pinter's injury.
The discussion also delves into deeper criticisms regarding the previous regime under John Harbaugh, specifically addressing accusations of sabotage against Lamar Jackson through poor personnel decisions and a lack of support for key players like Daniel Fole and Keith Mitchell. The narrator argues that these were not malicious acts but rather signs of a coaching staff that was overly loyal to underperforming veterans while failing to provide adequate resources or adjustments for the quarterback, contrasting this with how other teams treated their star players. Ultimately, while the organization faced valid complaints about management choices and player valuation, the current team is now focused on moving forward with a competitive roster ready to face new obstacles.

Just when everything's been going right
for the Ravens, we get hit with some
devastating injury news like this. Over
the past couple of days, Ravens and
Vikings have been having joint
practices, and these two teams been
going back and forth. There's been some
times that the Vikings have been getting
the best of the Ravens, but there's also
been a lot of times when the Ravens been
getting the best of them. And we love to
see it because iron sharpens iron. This
is what joint practices are for, to make
each other better. And there's been a
whole lot of that happening. But
yesterday during practice, it was said
that Danny Pinter, they had to bring out
the cart for him. And you never want to
hear stuff like that because it's always
scary. But I was holding out hope that
it would end up being like Nate Wiggins
because if you recall last week, Nate
Wiggins had the cart brought out for
him. And now this week, he's out there
locking down Justin Jefferson. So, I was
thinking, "All right, Jesse Mentor,
please give us an update like that." But
I should have known yesterday with the
way that Jesse Minter spoke about Danny
Pinter that it probably wasn't going to
be good.
>> I I I was able to go over there and see
him. Uh don't have any updates yet.
We'll probably have that, you know,
hopefully as he gets some things done,
get some tests done. Uh but we'll see
how that shakes out.
>> So hearing him comment on Danny Pincher,
he didn't have that same enthusiasm or
positivity that he had when he spoke
about Marlon Humphrey and when he talked
about Nate Wiggins being hurt the
previous week. So that kind of gave me a
more negative outlook on it. But then
today confirmed everything. When we got
this report from Mike Garafel, it says
Ravens center Danny Pinter suffered a
torn patella tendon in yesterday's joint
practice with the Vikings. A rough one
for Baltimore and Pinter who had
impressed while working with the
starters in camp. And yeah, he had. And
it was said that Jeff Ree talked about
how Danny Pinter had been running with
the ones pretty much all offseason. Now,
the plan was for Ethan Posk to run with
the ones this week, but now they're
forced to do that. They don't have a
choice because Danny Pinter is going to
miss a huge chunk, possibly all of the
2026 season. And that's tough, man,
because when you work so hard, you
finally get an opportunity. This was
going to be his chance to earn a
starting role because he hadn't really
had that before in Indianapolis. But
now, just like that, it all changes in
the blink of an eye. But [snorts] see,
the Baltimore Ravens, they did in a way
get ahead of this because they didn't
just bring in Danny Pinter as the only
center on the roster and say, "All
right, this is going to be our guy."
They have competition. They brought in a
Nick Dawkins, undrafted rookie free
agent. They brought in Jovon Gwyn from
the Atlanta Falcons. They also have
Corey Bulock who he seemed to have
fallen out of the race, but with this
injury, it may get him back in the
competition. So, this injury sucks. It
is terrible, but the Ravens are still in
a position to where they can overcome
it. Two words we've been hearing all off
season long, Jacobe Lane. And it seems
like it's not going to stop anytime
soon. every obstacle that gets put in
front of Jacobe Lane, he just continues
to overcome it. Third round draft pick,
he's a rookie. What are the expectations
for him? All right, he's a jump ball
receiver. He's a contested catch
receiver. But some people say, "Oh, man.
Well, his route running, it ain't the
best. Oh, he struggles getting open
against man coverage. Jacobe Lane has
done nothing but show up and show out
the entire off season. First, it started
in practice for the Baltimore Ravens. He
was beating Ravens corners without no
pads on then. Oh, all right. Let's put
the pads on, then see what he's got. He
put the pads on and guess what happened?
It still didn't stop. Then we were like,
"All right, well, what about in a
preseason game? How about that? How's he
going to do against another team?" What
did he do? He came out in his very first
NFL game, three catches, one of them
went for a touchdown. So, all right.
Well, maybe it was a fluke or something
like that. How is he going to be against
a better defense, better quarterbacks?
Oh, we got a joint practice coming up
against Brian Flores in that defense
with the Vikings. Oh man, he's going to
be in for an unfair treat with that one.
What does Jacobe Lane keep on doing?
What do we keep hearing about with
Jacobe? The same thing. This man is
really I don't want to say it too early,
but I maybe it's not too early. Jacobe
Lane is looking like the real deal. He
He really is. He's looking like he is
going to be something special. He's
looking like he is going to be something
significant because he keeps on doing
the same thing over and over and over.
All he does is make plays. That's it.
That that's that's it. And when you see
him catching passes, so many of them are
coming from number eight, Lamar Jackson.
So that's showing that they are
continuing to build chemistry. And to
me, it's still showing that Jacobe Lane,
he gonna get a lot of play time this
season. He going to be out there on the
field a lot with the starters.
And another positive for our Ravens is
the test that the secondary has been
getting this week going against one of
the best, if not the best wide receiver
in the entire NFL, that being Justin
Jefferson. He is really testing all
corners. And we've been hearing from
Jeff Reik that Maron Humphrey has been
having an excellent two days of joint
practice. Nate Wiggins, he's been making
plays. But somebody that I really
appreciated seeing some clips of was Bal
Kate because the clips that I saw, there
was one where he did technically he got
beat. He got beat, but it ain't like
Justin Jefferson just left him in the
dust. He was completely wide open. He
did get some separation at the end of
the route, but Bolog K, he was sticking
with him for the most part. And then Val
Con made an excellent play against Kyler
Murray where he turned around and ended
up catching a pick. But this is such a
confidence booster for him because he
missed all the last season due to an
injury that took him out for his entire
rookie year. So now being able to not
only just be back on the practice field,
but be back on the practice field and go
against one of the best. And you could
hang with him like that. Oh, you know
how much that can do for somebody's
confidence. So we're happy for Bal
Coney. we're happy for our entire
secondary. And if you're going against
Justin Jefferson and then Jordan Addison
and this Vikings offense, it can only
make us better. This video is sponsored

that I sent you. I could go on and on
about Ravens and Vikings joint
practices, but we got to get to my
favorite part of the videos, and that's
where we hear from you. First question
came from a team keep a clean patron.
Shout out to my guy Sebastian. He said,
"Hey man, how are you? It's been a
minute. Are we doing pretty good? I hope
you're doing even better, though." He
said, "Just finished watching your more
recent video talking about the first
preseason game, and I am just as excited
about this new regime like everyone
else." But I don't understand the whole
Harball hate thing. He's a Hall of Fame
coach and deserves his flowers for that.
He bet on Lamar enough to relegate an
entire offense around him. I understand
coaching collapses and failures where it
felt we lost games due to so many
terrible coaching decisions. I was on
the side of firing Harves because I
believed his loyalty to his guys was way
too harmful way too often such as Zack
or Falele. But the tinfoil hat of
Harbaugh trying to ruin Lamar is just
wrong.
That's a that's an interesting way to
start us off. But hey, let's get to it.
So, I can't say it's a tin foil hat. You
see what happened the and Daniel Filele
and that move alone, that's evidence
right then and there because Daniel Fle
was the starting offensive lineman for
Lamar Jackson for not one but two years,
two seasons. Two seasons. And in both of
those seasons, we saw him struggle
obviously 2025 way more significantly.
And guess what Harbaugh did to help out
Lamar Jackson when his start one of his
starting offensive linemen struggled so
bad? Nothing. Not a single thing. In two
seasons, Harbaugh did nothing to make
any adjustments, any changes to provide
any help. File blocks for Jackson Dart
for one game in a preseason game at
that. What happens a couple days later?
He's traded. He's shipped off just like
that.
So there's no tinfoil hat. You you have
a lot of evidence that John Harbaugh and
really the the the Ravens organization,
they did not do their best for Lamar
Jackson. But with John Harball
specifically, cuz a lot of people use
the word sabotage. So when something is
sabotaged, that means somebody they did
it on purpose. They messed something up
on purpose. It's hard to argue against
that when you see so much of what was
done and what really wasn't done for
Lamar Jackson. You see the way that so
many of these other quarterbacks got
treated, what was provided for them, the
weapons that was provided for them, even
down to coaching staff. We talked about
this with John Hall with how they were a
lot of times when he held on to guys
just way too for Greg Roman for example,
held on to him way too long. Way too
long. Way too long. and we would just
saw stuff and we just saw these it was
malpractice. It was so bad. Again, Greg
Roman, amazing introductory uh offensive
coordinator, but his offenses they they
stall out. And this was a this happened
in with San Francisco. This happened
with Buffalo. This happened everywhere
Greg Roman went. It's been the same
thing. But John Harbaugh kept holding on
to him also with there and this not even
just Lamar Jackson but John Harbaugh you
talked about it yourself he's way too
loyal and his loyalty was way too
harmful way too many times Brandon
Stevens is another example Brandon
Stevens is somebody he had an excellent
what was that 2023 I think it was 20 I
forgot what year was where he just woo
he went crazy with it he was amazing
even locked down Jamal Chase on but
>> [snorts]
>> um Brandon Stevens A lot of times he it
was rough for him. He he he struggled
big time. But John Haw still allowed him
to remain the starter at quarterback.
Even when he had options on the bench
like a Tradavius White, who when he did
play, he looked a lot better than
Brandon Stevens. Looked a lot more
comfortable and a lot more aware of his
surroundings than Brandon Stevens. What
did Harball do? Nothing. He left Brandon
Stevens out there. even in the playoff
game and all even when it was obvious
like we would joke about it a lot like
during the games during the streams and
videos like this and whatnot but it was
true if teams needed a first down it was
third and long they would target number
21 on the Ravens they did it so much so
many times and that was one of those
cases where there's a lot of truth
behind the joke but it almost got
laughable to a point because it's like
hold up we we see it at home that this
guy's getting targeted like crazy,
especially on third downs. So, the
coaching said they they got to see it
too, right?
Another thing too, we we we talk about
wide receivers so much. That's why a lot
of times uh even I know for me this off
season, I didn't give our new coaching
staff a shot initially when it came to
the wide receivers because I really
wanted them to bring in a veteran wide
receiver. I'm thinking like, oh, if
anything happened, we need some more.
and they still could have and I wouldn't
have been mad at that. But um I was
still so just messed up from the
previous regime and how they treated
wide receiver and it was something that
they treated as an afterthought. Like
you look at Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray
got what? He got AJ Green. I know AJ
Green was way past the price but he got
a nice DeAndre Hopkins. DeAndre Hopkins
that he was not old by any means when he
went to Kyler Murray. They also drafted
what? Marvin Harrison Jr. You look at
Tua, he got uh uh baller and Tyreek
Hill. Jaylen Wadd uh Jaylen Herz, he got
AJ like AJ Brown. Whoa. AJ Brown uh in
[snorts] his prime. Devonte Smith. Like
we we could keep going. We could keep
going. What did the Ravens do for Lamar?
Zay's been nice. Zay has been amazing.
And Hollywood was nice, too. But what
were some of the veterans who they
acquired for Lamar Jackson to pair with
those rookie receivers at the time? You
had Sammy Watkins who was unfortunately
injury-prone. He dealt with a lot of
injuries and that continued with the
Ravens. You had a Dez Bryan who they
brought in, hadn't played football in
like four years. You had a Odell Beckham
Jr. It was fun. He hadn't played
football in a year and a half and he was
still dealing with an injury. He wasn't
all the way healthy. Uh DeAndre Hopkins,
he he could still catch, but that this
was DeAndre Hopkins way past his prime.
Deshawn Jackson who hadn't played
football in about a year and some
change.
You see, so this is why when people say
sabotage and again John Hall is to blame
for a lot of it, is Eric Dasa, too. But
we always say that with the GM, they
just follow what the head coach wants to
do. They follow the head coach's vision
for the team. And the head coach tells
the G, "Hey, this is what I want to do.
This is how I want to build this team."
the GM like all right it's my job let me
go get these people for you let me go do
this for you so that's why with Eric
Dcasta with seeing him with a different
head coach we like all right Eric Dcasta
give you another chance I mean Stephen
Shotty going to give you another chance
he's still looking at you though he got
all eyes on you now to see how you do
with Jesse Mentor but with John the way
that they built this team and and the
lack that they did for a Lamar Jackson
they never really went all in on him
they never did they never did and it it
was really sad to see. Uh for the past
eight years, we of course had plenty of
great moments. We all we had a lot of
phenomenal moments uh with the Ravens
and we wish we could have got the job
done, but for so many different reasons.
Um it it was too many games where it
just felt like the Ravens,
they lost before they even stepped foot
on the field. It it seemed like the game
was over and it wasn't fully up to the
players. Obviously, the players got to
execute. The players got to play. They
ones on the field. But there were way
too many games in my opinion. There were
way too many games that got decided from
poor decision making. Whether it was
challenges, whether it was the strategy
on the field, whether the play calling,
uh whether it was the personnel, who was
playing and who wasn't playing, we saw
that so many times. So again, with John
Harball, it's not a tinfoil hat. is
things that we continuously saw over and
over again.
Speaking of Harbo, next question came
from my guy Pablo. He said, "EDC still
working for the Harballs?" What you
talking about, Pablo? Let me see. He
said, "What's up from Mexico City? First
things first, I hope you and the family
are doing great. And if not, that that's
the case entirely. I know that it will
be so very, very soon." Okay, I I
appreciate that. We doing good though,
man. He said, "Thanks for all the great
content and the channel you give us
every single day. I truly appreciate it
and enjoy every single video. Hey, thank
you very very much, man. He said, "Okay,
let's get to the meat of this matter."
Whoa. He said, "Did you ever wonder for
whom EDC is working?" I mean, is he
truly working for the Ravens
organization? We all know the close ties
he has personally with the Harballs and
some of the mistakes and bad decisions
in the past administrations make me
wonder if there were m they were
mistakes at all. For example, Katon, you
remember how no matter how great the
player he was, they just never offered
him any deal. Now, remember that same
contract year, uh, the Chargers happen
to need a running back and the Ravens
never played Katon as if they wanted to
preserve him because he was already
promised. Uh,
I I I I can't That's interesting. See,
now now that that might be some tinfoil
hat stuff right there, uh, Sebastian,
not not the whole Harball thing, but um,
with Keith Mitchell, they Eric Costa did
make a really good point about paying I
think it would have been like $3
million, something like that, to a third
string running back. Now, Keith Mitchell
with more opportunity, I think Keith
Mitchell could have been fantastic, but
the only thing with Keith Mitchell is
that he was nice. He just he would get
hurt. He would get nicked up quite a
bit. That was that was the one thing
with him. And I think in the back of
Ravens minds, I think that they realized
that and they understood that. And
[snorts]
it it was frustrating because there was
so many games like, "Hey, where's Keith
Mitch? Why we not playing Keith
Mitchell?" Especially that that excuse
Haw gave in the beginning. Oh, well, we
don't want to tip our hand. We don't
want to give it away. The the defense's
antenna is going to go up if they see
Keith Mitchell out there. How? Come on,
man. what we doing anyway. Um, but I I
don't think it was they were like, "All
right, hey, no, we're not going to play
you because you going to the Chargers."
I don't think it was anything like that.
Um, I just think they didn't value Katon
Mitchell like that. Uh, and I also think
they sometimes I think Ravens would
overthink a lot of stuff sometimes. Um,
with Keith Mitchell, I I just think that
they might have been and they could have
been thinking about the injury, but at
the same time, you also got to give him
a chance to show that he is healthy cuz
Keith Mitchell is a playmaker. He was a
play maker for sure. Keith Mitchell was
explosive, man. You just never knew he
could get a big run out of nowhere or a
big catching run out of nowhere, too. He
could turn nothing into something like
Keith Mitchell was nice, man. But Ravens
just he was an afterthought with them.
He was afterthought way way too often.
So it was frustrating. So I I don't
think it's anything like they were like,
"All right, Chargers, you going to get
this guy when we let him?" No, I don't
think it was anything like that. But
they they obviously didn't value him cuz
Yeah. He said they didn't offer him no
kind of contract at all. He said, "Think
of this and other very questionable
decisions on that administration and how
those decisions ended up in the benefit
of the Chargers or this year with the
Giants. Just to think about it, uh gives
me the chills." Okay. Hope you have a
great day and peace. Um that and that's
just part of the business. John Harball
didn't know he was getting fired. Uh he
and they talked about that a lot like
this. Everybody thought John Hall stand
players and all they thought John
Harball stand. I certainly thought John
Harball stand because I never thought
the Ravens were going to fight John
Harbaugh ever. Ever. I was a million%
sure he was walking out on his own
terms. But boy, I I was wrong. And
Stephen Shotty said he said he went
against what everybody else thought and
he had to make the decision on his own
against EDC against everybody and he had
to hit up John Harbaugh said nom we
ain't doing this no more it ain't
happening no more. So with that being
said I I don't
it's part of the business like if your
if the head coach gets fired yeah he
going to take some players that he likes
especially if those players get paid
some nice amounts from the new general
manager in the new team. Oh yeah they're
going to go to the new team. Oh, even if
they ain't like the head coach, that
money talks, man. This is a business.
So, they getting paid. They like, "Oh,
I'll let bygones be bygones. I'm sure
everything will be f They getting that
bread, man." But yeah, John Hobo, of
course, he going to take people from the
previous regime. And with the Chargers,
their former GM, he
Ravens former scout. Oh, what was Joe
Hortise? I forget what his director
player personnel mean. I forget what his
position was, but he went over to the
Chargers. It's like I know he used to be
with the Jets I think too. It's like all
all these when the when the front office
when the front office from the Ravens
they go to other teams then that's going
to happen a lot too. They're going to
bring in players from the Ravens because
they know how those players get down.
They know how the Ravens get down and
they respect it because that's where
they came from. So they already going to
have those connections.
