The Ravens Just Put The ENTIRE NFL ON NOTICE After They Pulled THIS Off!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video highlights a dramatic shift in the Baltimore Ravens' organizational culture under new head coach Jesse Minter, contrasting his aggressive and disciplined approach with the perceived stagnation of the previous regime. The narrator praises Minter's masterful defensive play-calling during a preseason game, where he utilized complex disguises and late rotations to confuse opponents and secure sacks against backup quarterbacks. This performance serves as evidence that the new coaching staff is capable of maximizing talent even with inexperienced players, resulting in a team that committed zero penalties and played with exceptional discipline. The commentary suggests that Minter has successfully ended the internal "warfare" and petty dynamics that allegedly existed between former head coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Lamar Jackson, replacing it with a unified and focused environment where every player is fully invested.
A significant portion of the discussion addresses the historical friction involving Lamar Jackson, including his contract negotiations and injuries under the old leadership. The narrator argues that while some fans speculate about sabotage, the reality was likely a clash of egos where Harbaugh insisted on doing things his own way rather than adapting to Jackson's unique strengths. With Minter now in charge, the team appears to have found a leader who truly values Jackson and the entire roster, leading to improved chemistry and performance. The video also touches on the potential for new offensive coordinators to implement a more quarterback-friendly system that utilizes mobile backups like Josh Johnson effectively, moving away from the old school requirement that a backup must be able to run to be viable.
The analysis extends to specific player evaluations and roster decisions within this new context. The narrator discusses the competition for the third-string quarterback spot, noting that while players like Tyler Huntley are excellent backups, the system under Doyle seems to favor mobility, making it difficult for non-mobile options to succeed. There is also speculation about moving wide receiver Jacoby Lane to tight end to create mismatches and give Linderbaum more field vision, though the narrator strongly advises against changing his position due to his frame and skill set as a receiver. Additionally, the video covers the status of other key players like Mark Andrews, whose performance has been questioned since an injury, and rookie Isaiah Likely, who is being viewed as a potential safety blanket for Lamar Jackson alongside Mark Andrews.
Ultimately, the video concludes with high expectations for the upcoming regular season, fueled by the impressive preseason performances of the backups and the cohesive energy displayed by the new coaching staff. The narrator expresses excitement to see how the starters will perform after the break, hoping that the discipline and fresh start under Minter translate into a championship-caliber team. The segment wraps up with a reminder to follow analyst Chris Cooper for detailed play breakdowns and encourages viewers to engage with the channel through subscriptions and questions, reinforcing the community aspect of the show while celebrating the Ravens' renewed momentum.

When you look at Jesse Minter, you
probably think, "Oh, man, he's such a
stand-up guy. He's so nice." Well, let
me tell you one thing. He is not. This
man is evil. Look at what he did in the
preseason.
>> Minter had the best defensive play call
of preseason week one. Just watch what
he dials up here. This is a third and
seven and the Eagles come out with this
bunch formation to the field. And this
is Minter right as he calls this play.
>> Pause right there. Do you see the time
in the preseason game, an exhibition a
game that doesn't even count. This is
third quarter in a game full of backups.
And this is what this man, Jesse Minter,
is deploying? Let's finish the rest.
>> And just look at him licking his chops.
The Ravens tipped this linebacker
blitzing pre-snap during the cadence and
show a weak rotation with the safety
creeping up to replace in the field
safety rotating to the middle. And
you'll see right here, it gets the QB to
change the protection to a half slide to
account for the blitz. Then at the very
last second, they flip the look
completely. That initial linebacker that
influenced the protection change is
going to bluff back into coverage. The
replacement safety rotates to the middle
of the field post-snap creating a strong
rotation with the field safety buzzing
underneath. You get an A-gap slant from
Peoples which opens up the B-gap blitz
for the opposite linebacker. And to top
it all off, they overload that B-gap
sending the nickel Keion Martin soaring
in who gets home for the sack. Minter
influenced that protection change,
disguised [clears throat] the coverage
with a late rotation, and his guys
perfectly timed up and executed this
blitz. This was a phenomenal play by the
Ravens defense in a defensive play
calling masterclass by Jesse Minter.
>> So, if you enjoyed that breakdown, my
guy Chris Cooper _nfl has plenty more
and he does an amazing job of breaking
down plays for the Baltimore Ravens, but
he covers the entire NFL as a whole. So,
y'all make sure y'all follow him on
every single social media platform. Now,
back to this bully, Jesse Minter,
because that's the best way to describe
him. This man is literally in a
preseason game with his backups against
a backup quarterback trying to send all
these disguises and coverages and
confuse the Eagles quarterbacks. It's
Jesse, what are you doing? It's supposed
to be vanilla. It's supposed to be super
basic. But this man said, "I don't care
about none of that. I'm sending it
anyway." So, if we saw what Jesse Minter
did in that preseason game, week one of
the preseason, imagine what he's going
to be sending at Daniel Jones and them
Colts. But then
it gets even better because Jesse
Minter, he's a first-time head coach.
Declan Doyle, he's a first-time
offensive coordinator. In this game,
they were playing with a bunch of
backups and rookies. A lot of these guys
didn't have any NFL experience
whatsoever. This was their very first
game. And the Baltimore Ravens had 1 2 3
total penalties. So, these guys were
playing some amazingly disciplined
football.
That says so much in itself. When you
compare the preseason from last year to
this year, think about this. And I'm not
trying to take a shot at John Harbaugh,
but John Harbaugh was in his what, 18th
year with this football franchise. Todd
Monken was in his third year. Zach Orr
was in his second year.
And when we look at how the backups
performed last preseason versus this
first game with brand new everything,
brand new regime,
it's night and day.
So, all the stuff that we heard about
the way that Jesse Minter has been
running this show, the way that he's
been coaching, how he focuses so much on
discipline, it's all real.

of the videos where we get to feature
your questions. Let's get straight into
it. First one came from my guy, Thomas.
He said, "I watched the clip of when
Lamar Jackson was chosen as the Ravens
quarterback. Harbaugh did not smile nor
show the future with him. Uh, think of
it. Every chance that Lamar could have
or would have increased the Ravens
chance to win a Super Bowl, it was
changed. I believe that because Lamar
rearranged the odds and won, they made
sure he would not complete a Super Bowl
win. Even when asked, 'Lamar, do you
want to go for it?' his odds were slim
to none. I could go on and on, but you
know the gist of this. Lamar didn't stop
playing but refused to be damaged
because they saw his potential. There
comes a time when you have to stop
crossing oceans for people when they
won't even jump puddles for you." Ooh,
my guy, Thomas, starting us OFF LIKE
THAT. WHOA.
UM,
so yeah, with with John Harbaugh, I
wouldn't say
>> [sighs and gasps]
>> but man, cuz
we've had this question come up before.
This comment sort of the like the
sabotage. Because my thing would be
like, all right.
Because we saw that the the the way that
the Ravens ran their show, we saw that
the the the way that the Ravens did and
did not sort of build around Lamar
Jackson. We saw some areas they did
good, some areas they did just
unacceptable.
Um but overall, I would say they did
I would say they did a poor job overall
um with truly building around Lamar
Jackson. Really like truly getting the
best out of him and really just out of
the whole football team. I think it was
a lot of years that were wasted uh
trying to do things their way, sort of
that old school way, and not really I I
I feel like the the previous coaching
staff never truly was all in on Lamar
Jackson. It shows the way they play the
games. It shows the way that they hired
and and didn't fire offensive
coordinators. Uh it shows the way that
they brought in and didn't bring in
certain personnel. It it shows the way
that what they truly invested in
when it came to Lamar Jackson as Ravens
starting quarterback.
And even when you think about the whole
contract thing, that had to get so ugly
it seemed like they weren't even all the
way bought in on him when it came to
give him his contract. When it came to
give him his bread. It was a fight for
him to get that. And he had done a lot
more than a whole lot of other
quarterbacks. But a lot of those other
quarterbacks, oh it was no question when
it was time for them to get paid. Oh,
here's your contract. Oh, boom. There
you go. Uh
oh yeah, you up? Okay, yeah, we'll take
care of that. But with Lamar, he had to
fight for it. Like really fight for it.
So, that's why another one of the
million reasons why so many of us are
excited for this new regime. But another
thing that I think of whenever we we
think about sabotage, and I would think
of it back then in real time too. I'm
like like why would the Ravens, even if
we just talking about John Harbaugh
specifically, why would he sabotage
Lamar Jackson? Because ultimately, that
will fall on him, right?
Well,
yes and no. Uh what while it would
diminish the team's success and I would
think that he wouldn't want to do that
because I feel like he just you would
have to be another level of petty
to be willing to
sabotage the team that you're running
to the point where you like no, we we
ain't going to mess with no Super Bowl.
We ain't getting no Super Bowl. Like you
would really that would have to and
while we do know John Harbaugh could be
petty. I just
I don't think that he was trying to
necessarily
not get the Ravens to win a Super Bowl.
I just think that he just wanted it to
be done his way and he wanted to be he
wanted to prove that it was his way that
was causing the Ravens to win and he
didn't want people to be like oh no,
it's all Lamar or anything like that.
That's what I think it was because what
we said about John Harbaugh a lot of
times, when John Harbaugh was right,
hey,
he was right. But I also feel like when
John Harbaugh was wrong, he still felt
like he was right. Um so there was so
many times and there's a lot of
different examples that we could give
where John Harbaugh just it was his way
or no way and he really wanted to show
the Ravens, really the NFL world that
his way could get it done and I think
that's why we saw some we didn't hear
anything like from the two back and
forth, but I feel like we saw the back
and forth with a Lamar Jackson and a
John Harbaugh. I I think that John
Harbaugh wanted to let it be known and
and he wanted to really reiterate it
over and over, hey, this is my team. I'm
running the show. Lamar, it's not you.
So I go back to the 2021 and 2022 when
Lamar he he technically he didn't finish
those seasons and he had those injuries
and so many players had commented on
that, oh he can come back from those
injuries. I think that was really
internal warfare with the Baltimore
Ravens. Just my opinion. Just my own
thoughts. I don't know nothing. Don't
know nobody. Ain't got no no no sources,
no connects, but I think it was internal
warfare between Lamar Jackson and John
Harbaugh, Lamar Jackson, this front
office. I I just think that they were
going back and forth. And I think, this
is me,
I think that Lamar's like, "You know
what? All right. No, y'all ain't trying
to pay cuz that's when contract started.
That's when the contract talk is
started. And I think he was like, "You
know what? Y'all ain't trying to pay me?
Well, you know what? I Yeah, I I am
hurt. I'm technically hurt. I got an
injury. So, you know what? No.
Y'all figure this out."
So, I think John Harbaugh was like, "All
right, cool. We got it." So, whether it
was Tyler Huntley or other backups that
have been there uh from time to time,
John Harbaugh tried with the backups,
and obviously, it didn't work. This
team, like I know people say one man
doesn't make a team because one man does
not make a team. It's a team effort.
That's why it's called a team. And this
is not a single player game.
But Lamar Jackson,
when he's in the lineup, oh, everything
is a million times better. Everything.
Offense, defense, everything. He's out
of the lineup,
everything changes for the worse. Just
like that. And I know people say, "Oh,
well, yeah, you can say that about a lot
of starting quarterbacks." And you
could. Well, with Ravens, it's like ooh,
it's like the the whole roster just
changes because Lamar Jackson, the the
way he impacts every single player on
this roster, not just the offense, but
every single player on this roster,
it couldn't go unnoticed.
But now, again, everything is peaceful,
everything is all love. Now, we got
Jesse Minter. No more back and forth, no
more war, uh no more stirring the water,
like you said. Uh now, we got a head
coach who seems to have a really good
relationship with Lamar, and just not
just with Lamar, just with the entire
team. And everybody is making it like
it's really a breath of fresh air.
That's why I really, really appreciated
uh somebody who truly loved John
Harbaugh a lot.
At At it seemed that way, but Marlon
Humphrey. When he was on the lounge,
when he was giving his comments about
John Harbaugh and Jesse Minter, the back
and forth he was letting me know he
said, "Hey, I love John Harbaugh. That's
my guy." And we always knew that John
Harbaugh is Marlon Humphrey's guy. And
if he isn't, maybe someone else is, but
they always seemed like they were super
cool, super close.
But even Marlon Humphrey, he talked
about John Harbaugh's coaching style.
Some stuff that he did do, some stuff
that he really didn't do. Some stuff
that he might not have specialized in
that's a little opposite of Jesse
Minter.
And it's just a contrast, man. It's just
a a big contrast between the two. And
again, we haven't even
Well, actually now we've seen a snap of
his football. We've seen a lot of snaps
of his football in preseason and week
one. And the fact that he went crazy go
crazy like that. Rookie head coach going
crazy like that in preseason and week
one with what
I'm just again, you got to imagine
imagine what's on the way to come.
Next question came from my guy John B.
He said, "QB3." He said, "What's up in
Grave? What's up Team Keep It Clean?
What's up, John?" He said, "So, I just
got done watching a video about Anthony
Brown and Austin Reed and him competing
with Skylar Thompson for QB3." Well, Joe
Flacco
now cuz Skylar Thompson he's on IR. He
said, "My question is, are they anything
like Lamar and Snoop?" Well,
Joe Flacco, no. He
didn't show anything like Lamar or
Snoop. Um he was doing his thing though.
He he was certainly doing his thing.
Now, I know we don't even want to get to
no conversation about no QB3. Cuz like
we said before, if it if it's coming
down to QB3, then your season is is
pretty much over. So, we don't even want
to think about that, but I wonder if
things are truly different now
to where obviously if your starting
quarterback on a team, if they went
down, then you want to have somebody
that can try to replicate what they did
to the best of their ability. That's why
Ravens brought back Tyler Huntley. We
know he's not Lamar Jackson, he's Tyler
Huntley, but he is one of the closest
things as a backup quarterback that
somebody could be to Lamar Jackson. He's
still again, he's not Lamar Jackson.
He's not. But, he's closer than a lot of
other quarterbacks, a lot of other
backup quarterbacks in the league. So,
they brought him back. But, with Josh
Johnson,
I know it was just one preseason game,
but seeing
the success that he was
and I it's it's tough to say cuz it was
preseason. So, I get it. But, seeing the
success that he was having,
how he was moving the ball, the Ravens
offense was moving the ball, they were
spreading it around and whatnot,
I wonder if this system, this Decklin
Doyle system,
is a system that will be a lot more
quarterback friendly and not just
friendly when it comes to quarterbacks
that can run.
So, it is like with the previous system,
if you couldn't run, you were doomed.
You were done. That was it.
That was the And that's why Cooper Rush
did not have success as Ravens starting
quarterback because he was not a mobile
quarterback.
But, it's it's just with that one
preseason game. And again, it's
preseason, it's the backup, so
so I I I can't like fully say it with a
million percent confidence, but I hope
that that does end up being true. But,
continuing, he said, "Two quarterbacks
that can make something happen out of
nothing. I'm asking because last year we
realized unfortunately a few games in
that old dude. I forgot his name. That's
how irrelevant he was for us. And he was
not the quarterback that we needed." Oh
my goodness.
So, he's He sound like he's talking
about Cooper Rush, I think. Anyway, he
said, "And we had got rid of Snoop for
no reason. If they are not, why not try
to find someone for the QB3 position
that does fit our QB play style where we
don't have to drastically change how we
run the offense. Why not go after
Anthony Richardson? He wants out of
Indianapolis and that would be a very
good competition for the QB2 spot, even
though I still think Snoop would win
it." Um
I I I I can't see Anthony Richardson
winning our QB2 spot with the Ravens. Um
I don't even see him being a quarterback
on the Ravens. Reason being, if he was
cut, if he was released,
then I could see him being QB3.
Um but for for them to trade for him,
no, his contract, no. They they
wouldn't. They have to They have to
bring on a former first-round draft
pick's contract. And
I He wasn't drafted low in the first
round. He was drafted somewhere, I
think, in the top Was it the top 15? I
forget exactly what spot he was in. But
he was drafted high and
Ravens would have to take on that
contract. Even if they declined the
fifth-year option and all that, they
would still have to take on that
first-round draft pick contract. And I
don't think they want to do that for a
QB3, especially. Um so if he was to be
released, then yeah, but as far as the
contract he's on, no. Um and then to
and then for him to come in
with 2 weeks left in the preseason and
to surpass Snoop, I I just I I wouldn't
see that happening at all. Anyway, he
said, "But uh he's mobile and he's
athletic. He fits the mold of what all
one and two already do. So it's not too
drastic of a transition for our
offensive line. Uh the scramble drills
for my wide receivers, the game plan can
still be similar. What are your
thoughts?" Yeah, it's possible that he
could come in and get acclimated and
whatnot, but
to surpass Snoop, no. And again, they
said that they don't want to trade him.
They said he's they're not going to
trade him. To me, that just says, "Oh
yeah, we we just want a little more on
an offer and we'll trade him." Cuz I I
don't think I don't think I don't think
they see nothing in Anthony Richardson,
man. I think the coach been done with
Anthony Richardson. Um but
I Yeah, him being a Baltimore Raven, I I
just don't think it's going to happen at
all.
Next question just came from my guy
Jarvo. He said, "Football is officially
back for the Ravens. I can't lie, I felt
weird not seeing John Harbaugh on the
sideline, but watching what the next
flight Ravens made me forget about John
quickly. You know what's crazy? Leading
up until this game, uh for months, I was
saying the same exact thing that it was
going to feel weird not seeing Harbaugh
on the Ravens sideline. But honestly, it
didn't feel weird at all.
Um and I didn't even realize Not that I
didn't realize he wasn't there but it
just didn't I didn't even think about
like oh man yeah that's not John
Harbaugh on the sideline it's just it
was just
I guess cuz we've been talking about him
so much and we've been hearing about him
so much we've been seeing him in the
press conference and everything that we
just got accustomed to Jesse Minter
being the Ravens head coach. But anyway
he said really wanted to keep the Eagles
scoreless but proud of what the defense
showed tonight. Zion Young looked great
and explosive but my standouts were T.J.
Tampa and Kenyan Martin.
>> [snorts]
>> Yeah and them boys they were going the
distance man. He said defense I saw no
confusion no missed tackles.
That part right there.
That's what we highlighting earlier.
This is a brand new coaching staff.
Bunch of rookies out there inexperienced
guys got what what the guys are second
year third year but not starters.
And nobody looked confused. Nobody
looked lost. And like you like you I'm
glad you brought up the no missed
tackles too. That was a big deal too.
And again
you could expect that from backups
missed tackles.
He said no big plays given up and most
importantly rarely gave up on third
downs. Offense left points on the board
with that missed kick and interception
but
yeah but
but
overall they played good. Reading and
Fa'anunu played well and will be
interesting to see who gets that QB3
spot. Lane showed enough for me Hibner
played well and also Serratt outside of
that fumble. O-line gave the QBs time in
the pocket and
Vanga was a boulder out there and
protected his QB. I hate that Westry
didn't get no time at receiver. The
battle for RB4 will be interesting
because Randall was outplayed by Talbott
and McMillan in my opinion. Okay that's
a take right there.
I think um
That's a take. I know their average per
carries were more
Randall obviously got the touchdown.
Uh but they they had more they were they
had more limited snaps well they had
less snaps than him.
Um
Outplayed I don't think like outplayed
by far.
Um
Mhm.
That's a tough one. I I don't know.
That's a tough one. He said only injury
was Jay Higgins. Uh hopefully it's the
last for the entire season. Uh coaching
staff reflected well on the field and
can tell all the players are all in. The
players played with discipline. And see
that seems to be the common word,
discipline.
Uh and was locked in all phases. Defense
played fast and rarely missed a tackle.
Uh if the backups are playing like this,
I can't wait to see the starters. And
there we go. Yeah. He said last thing is
Loop needs to be better and maybe I'm
saying that cuz Tuck spoiled me, but
Loop needs to make his kicks.
Yeah. And that's what we just got to
hope that things just improve. The
things get better. Things are not an
issue uh when it comes to Tyler Loo. Uh
he also said, "Do you agree with Tom
Brady when he made the comment on
players sitting out during the
preseason?" This was his statement.
"Preseason, regular season, I never
wanted to be taken off the field.
Practice makes perfect. Too many people
looking for easy ways out these days.
When you're a football player in this
football season, your job is to play
football." And Javo saying,
"In my opinion, I do think starters
should play at least a few series to get
the rust off and to build the chemistry.
Practice and preseason are two different
types of conditions because they hit
during practices. I understand injuries,
but it's part of football. Josh,
Patrick, Joe, and others have played, so
I hope we see our starters at least one
preseason game." You know what's crazy
is that I I don't disagree with that at
all. I would love to see the starters
play just a little bit, even just a
little bit because and I was for sure We
still got two games left. I know Jesse
Menede said
he said Lamar wasn't going to play week
one, but I think he said that Lamar not
playing like at all in a preseason, but
I I don't remember for sure. But anyway,
um going into this preseason with a new
coaching staff, I was for sure like we
talked about it before that I think and
thought that our starters would
definitely play some in the preseason,
especially with it being a brand new
coaching staff. But obviously that week
one game, we didn't see them.
We'll see what happens in week two uh
and week three. But yeah, I I I I I
wouldn't mind if they played some in the
preseason. I know they still going to go
out there and do their thing regular
season, whether they play or not. But
yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing them play
just a little bit in the preseason. Just
give us a little taste and also give
them some some live action before week
one. But he also said, "Please tell me
you saw 77 blocking for the Giants. He
was letting the third stringers get by
him. Is it just me or do you think it's
ironic that our players are coming back
from injury quicker than in the John
era?" I I I wouldn't say that. I would
say with it well yeah, with with Daniel
Faalele. Ooh, that is Oof, but that's a
whole thing in itself. As far as the
injuries though, um
that started to improve a couple years
ago when they hired Adrian Dixon from
the Tennessee Titans. And he was a
specialist in proper recovery for the
players. Um that was one of my favorite
Harbaugh hires that he ever did because
that changed so much with when it came
to injuries with the Baltimore Ravens.
So,
them and and he's still with the team
now to this day. So, that was a great
keep by them. He he was somebody that I
was worried that might go with John
Harbaugh, but he stayed. So,
that's something that the Ravens started
working on uh several years back and
it's just been
great hire. So, yeah. But we saw with
Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins, it
looked crazy especially when Nate
Wiggins looked scary, but he's obviously
back which has been great. He said, "A
hot take I have is that I think Peoples
might get cut."
That is a hot take.
Wow.
He said he was not impactful Saturday
night and played the entire game and we
are heavy at that position.
Two players outplayed him and that was
rookie Bennie uh and uh Odafe
Owusu-Ajiga, but maybe Peoples will
bounce back next game. Yeah, we're going
to see.
We're going to see. That's a That That
is a hot take right there, man. He said,
"Love what I saw from the linebacker
Deluca, but I need to see my guy Oweh at
that defensive tackle position." Well,
yeah, Deluca was everywhere, flying
everywhere. I I love what I saw from
him, too. And now with Jay Higgins, he
get the concussion. Hopefully it ain't
no long-term thing. Hopefully we'll see
him
probably maybe practicing with the
Vikings this week, but hopefully he'll
be back at least by next week.
So, we'll see. He said, "Um I need to
see my guy Oweh at the defensive tackle
position. He's 6'6" at 370, so he can be
our young Calais. Uh the way I saw the
receivers were getting open with a
simple play calling from Saturday, I can
only imagine how our true playbook will
open up so many opportunities for Lamar
to feed everyone."
Yeah.
That was a Mhm, it's a very encouraging
sign
uh from Saturday offense. He said, "Do
you think Likely will be Lamar's new
safety blanket like Isaiah Likely was?"
I don't know. I could hope so, though.
Cuz I mean, he he's he's he's 6'4".
That's 6'4".
And he just be bringing that energy,
too, man. Like straight up, man. So,
that chem- Hey, I want to see that
chemistry run. I want to see that
chemistry. I want to see them two on the
field together. Will we see them
preseason? Will we have to wait till
week one? We'll see. But, he could. He
could. That That's a lot to put on the
the shoulders of a rookie. So, I'm not
necessarily At least not At least early
on.
Um cuz I know it's a lot of times been
Mark Andrews, and hopefully he can still
do his thing. There's Likely, too. So,
he he Likely could be another one. But,
he could. He could. I know a lot of
people comparing him and his role to
that of Isaiah Likely's in the past for
the Ravens.
So, let's hope that Lamar has a couple
of safety blankets. Let's hope Let's
hope that all the receivers are safety
blankets for Lamar, and he could trust
every last one of them.
Next question came from my guy Sleepy.
He said, "I can't lie. I was ecstatic
you ending the show with my question and
comment of the Steelers suck a couple of
weeks ago. Again, thank you, my guy, but
I'm here for much different thing this
time. Oh, no, I appreciate you even
sending it, man.
He said, 'I know what this guy has meant
to our franchise, but in my eyes, Mark
Andrews hasn't been the same since the
Buffalo game for whatever reason. But,
the facts are the facts. How off base
would it be if he could hold his own in
blocking, we moved Jacoby Lane to tight
end?'" No, don't
Don't move James Cook to play in the
tight end. Don't move. Let Let Let him
Let him be a receiver. You want to line
him up
He ain't got the frame for a tight end.
Well, there's Darren Waller though, so
you know what? I can't say that, but
No, I'm I'm I ain't I ain't changing his
position, man. I ain't I ain't changing
his position. I'm leaving him at
receiver. If you want to move him
around, do that, but
let him stay at receiver. Don't Don't
have him put on that weight, that tight
end weight. Um just let him stay where
he is. Anyway, he said, "This in my eyes
would have tremendous upside. Mismatches
against the defense and it would allow
Linderbaum to see the field more without
taking spots from the other receivers.
He kind of puts me in the mind of a
Darren Waller." Oh,
I should have kept reading.
>> [laughter]
>> He said, "He kind of puts me in the mind
of a Darren Waller without the early
issues. Really need your thoughts. Hope
you and the family is well. Uh keep
doing great work and as always, the
Steelers suck."
And make sure you got that one in again.
Um No, I I I would just leave him as is.
I wouldn't change his position. Uh you
can still continue to give him work. You
can give him different looks. You can
give him different opportunities uh as a
wide receiver. Just because he is a wide
receiver doesn't mean you can't line him
up literally wherever because you can do
that. Um so and if he's taking snaps
from people, in my opinion, then that
would mean he would be earning those
snaps from people. Because he's a
rookie. He's a third-round pick. So if
he's going to get on the field and take
snaps from somebody, whether it be
fellow rookie Elijah Salaam, whether it
be second-year receiver Izaiah Likely,
James Proche, whether it be uh
third-year receiver Tylan Wallace,
whether it be
1 2 3 4 5 sixth-year receiver Rashod
Bateman.
I I had to count it out loud because I
forgot how long he's been in the league
for, so my apologies on that. But
if he's taking snaps from somebody, that
means he earned it. But let let's not do
the position change, but let's still
give him plenty of opportunity.
