THE RAVENS JUST MADE A VERY SURPRISING ROSTER MOVE…AND THERE'S A HUGE INJURY UPDATE!

So, the Ravens made two very interesting roster moves. One of them caught me by surprise, but both moves show their continued confidence in some key players on this roster, especially over these next couple of weeks. Let's read the report from Jess Ree. It says, "The Ravens signed wide receiver Gage Larvan to the practice squad and released kicker Jake Moody. Larvadan was with the Browns last year and through most of training camp, but was cut in late August. So, we know Ravens are dealing with injuries to Z Flowers and Jacobe Lane. They could have went out, signed a veteran. They could have went out and got somebody with a lot more experience, but they said, "No, we got a Tez Walker. We got an Elijah Serat. We got a Rashad Baitman." So, the fact that they didn't go out and get somebody who's proven, it shows that they have a lot of confidence in their own guys and they're going to really, really see what they're made of. And it's starting this week with the New Orleans Saints. But now the other part of that tweet was that they released kicker Jake Moody and that's the move that really caught me by surprise because I'm like look look I get it and I love we all love that Tyler Loop he made not only that 45 yard field goal but kicked the 57 y man like that's something serious and that's a big confidence booster not only for Tyler Loop but for all of us as Ravens FANS BUT WE WEREN'T ALL THE WAY SOLD YET and I didn't feel like releasing Jake Moody I don't feel like that was the move. But at the same time, I don't want to overreact because it's not like bringing him back would really take much of anything if Tyler Loop was to start making some hiccups. But you know what? He won't. Tyler Loop is going to be just fine. And this is something that we all wanted anyway. We wanted Tyler Loop to just be on point, to be making all his kicks, and to shut all of us up. Now with Tyler Loop, I gained a big boost of confidence, especially after that 57 y, but I just we just want to see consistency. But he's off to a nice he's off to a beautiful start this season because he made his two kicks. He made all his point after touchdowns. So Ty Lope is rolling. So just continue to give them even more reason to look at Jake Moody and be like, you know what, we made the right decision. But how are y'all feeling about not only the Ravens releasing Jake Moody, but how you feeling about Tyler Loop? Is your faith restored in number 33 for the Baltimore Ravens? And as far as them bringing in Gage Lavan, do you feel like this is a move that lets you know like, hey, we also got confidence in our Ravens wide receivers to hold it down, or do you think they should have went in another direction? Let us know down in the comments section. And in other Ravens news, we got more clarity surrounding Jacobe Lane's injury. Let's read the report from Matt Zenit. He says, "Ravens promising rookie wide receiver Jacobe Lane is currently expected to undergo surgery in the coming days, potentially as soon as tomorrow." Well, when you're seeing this today, uh the current hope, per sources, is for him to be able to return in around a month. So, the Baltimore Ravens expect him to be out for about four games. So, that sounds like injured reserve to me. Um, and Jeff Reebic, he said the following about Chris Moore. He said that the Ravens, he didn't say they might be. He didn't say they thinking about it. Jeff Ree said the Ravens will be adding Chris Moore to the 53man roster. May not necessarily happen for a few days, but that's the plan before Sunday's game against the Saints. So, it sounds like Jacobe Lane, he's probably going to head to injured reserve and Chris Moore will be headed to the active roster. Now, you may be wondering like, man, why don't the Ravens just continue to use the call-ups that they have? Chris Moore is on the practice squad. They already called him up for the first game. They have two more call-ups that they can do before they have to make a decision with him by either adding him to the active roster after that third call up or releasing him and allowing him to clear waiverss and then they can sign him back to the practice squad. But the Ravens are like, "Look, we ain't taking no risk. We ain't taking no chances because if they leave him on the practice squad, there is a risk that another team could be looking and they could be like, you know what, Chris Moore, man, that 53 yard catch you CALL FROM LAMAR JACKSON. OH, YOU STILL GOT IT. You know what? Poached. So, this is a very smart move by the Baltimore Ravens because Chris Moore, he showed his value not only on offense when it came to catching the ball, not only on offense when it came to blocking, but also on special teams, too. He set us up nice on some kick returns. So Chris Moore, again, somebody who I questioned when the Baltimore Ravens first signed him months ago. I was like, what? What's the what's the reasoning that we sign in Chris Moore? But all of my questions, all of my concerns have all been answered and more. Chris Moore is still very valuable. He can still play and the Ravens are like, we are not risking losing him. So, he's going to officially be on the 53man roster any day now. And as far as Jacobe Lane with his surgery, the expectation again is that he's out for at least a month. Hey, hopefully the surgery goes even better than expected and he could be back sooner. But realistically, he probably won't be. But when he does get back, hopefully he can beat the Jacobe Lane and he can pick up right where he left off at and things can continue to ascend for him. But a rough start to his rookie year. But again, this is just the beginning. It's about how you finish, not how you start, but how you end things. Next question came from my guy Marcus. It's still weird using the iPad instead of my phone cuz my son is using my phone. He's on a game with one of his friends right now and they talking. Anyway, set different reaction. Uh, first shout out to the goat engraving. I don't know who the goat is. It certainly ain't me, but shout out to you, Marcus. Anyway, he said, "My bad, Mr. Engraven, but peep this. What if the game plan was to feed Zay in the first half to force the Colts to put their best corner on him or to slide coverage his way, which would allow everybody else to eat?" M we'll never know cuz we ain't get to see the rest of the game plan cuz the game plan got thrown out the window since they flowers got hurt. Now that that is a interesting observation though. We we'll just never know. But hey, you you might be on to something. Anyway, he said he knows that Mark's going to be Mark and Zay was a monster, but imagine the one thing the Ravens coaches of old wouldn't do, which is second half adjustments. Uh, we know Derek would clo would close, but imagine the average NFL team when Zay go off. Now they got to respect him. Bait Tez sauce cover bait on the outside since they was in motion and the Colts were mostly in zone. Hopefully I make sense. Oh. Oh, you do. You do. So you were just thinking long term. The possibility that the Ravens were thinking long term, too. So I mean, hey, with this new coaching staff, the thinking is different. It's much different than the old coaching. I can't sit up here and say that the previous coaching staff, they never made second half adjustments. Like, we can't say that. Come on now. Cuz if that was the case, we would have lost so much more games than we did. But things are new now. Anyway, uh he said, "Secondly, will Mike Green show up this season, or what about Zion? Or do they need Beaks, Campbell, and Hendrickson to command more attention before we realize they might NOT BE IT?" WHOA, WHOA, MARCUS. IT'S BEEN one game. It's been one game. One. That's it. One game. This is Zion Young's first NFL game. Or it was. This was Mike Green's his what? His 18th NFL game. So he played 17 last year. Did he miss anytime last year? I don't think so. But anyway, like things are new. What? Like we ain't No, it's too early for all that, my friend. Man, Marcus ain't playing, man. He started off nice. Oh yeah, the coaching staff, they probably thinking long term. They was making they was deciding all these second half adjustments that they was going to do. They were second half game planning and whatnot. Then you brought that like, "Oh, these dudes, is it too early to say they not it?" Whoa. Anyway, he said Robinson to me is the second best pass rusher by far. If they ever step up, imagine how exotic it could be stacking the line just to drop everybody in coverage. Team keep it clean for life. I appreciate you, Marcus. Woo! man. Yeah, we got to get these guys a shot. Give him a chance. Yeah. And we know Tavius Robinson, he did his thing. Tavius Robinson been showing for years that like, hey, he could play. He could play. And now I feel like his game, it's like it it seems like it's on another level and it's been ascending that way ever since he's been in the league. But now it seemed like he took another step forward because I'm pretty sure that a some statistics some statistics came out that said um either the pass rushers who had the the most win rate or got the most the highest pressure percentage. I forgot what the stat was, but it was Trey Hendrickson. Both Trey Hendrickson and Tavius Robinson were on the on the top five list for pass rushers. I forgot exactly what the numbers were, but that lets us know, hey, Tavius Robinson, he doing something, man. Tyreek. Next question came from my guy Charie. He said, I think we should sign Tyreek Hill. Not only because what he can do for us when he's healthy, but we can also hate on the reunion. I'm sure most of us are watching the Broncos Chiefs game. The Chiefs desperately need wide receiver help. Let's grab him before they do. Oh, okay. So, you playing a little not even chest, not check, you're just playing a little petty party like straight up like look, it ain't just so we could add another receiver, but it's uh also so y'all the Chiefs don't mess around and sign Tyreek Hill back uh to that roster again. So, we we'll see. Um Jeff Reeic talked about earlier that the the Ravens not desperate at receiver. And with Tyreek Hill, who knows what kind of shape he is or is not in yet. He did tweet earlier today where he said well yesterday by the time you're seeing this video. Uh but so I don't know. I wouldn't be mad if they signed Tyreek Hill. I I had thought about signing him back in free agency cuz I thought like that would be a sign, but obviously he wasn't healthy yet. But I thought that that wouldn't just be any old veteran wide receiver signing. That that would be somebody that would make a huge difference right away. But who knows how healthy he is or isn't as of right now. Next question came from my guy Real Raw Reckless and he sent this on the night before the game. Let's see if any of what he said came to fruition. He said, "Uh, what's up engraving the team? Keep it clean. What's happening with you, man?" He said, "Football is finally back. It's been a minute since I last sent in a question, but I'm always tuned in and watching. I appreciate y'all, man. I appreciate y'all cuz I hear a lot of y'all be saying that that hey, I ain't I ain't seen the question in a little minute, but that y'all still be locked in. So, I appreciate it. He said, "What are you most intrigued to see from the Ravens in week one? For me, it's the defense. Offense wins games, but defense wins Super Bowls." Well, you you certainly got to see a lot of both for sure. You got to see his offense go crazy over 500 of them. And then you got to see the defense force some turnovers and make some nice plays throughout. He said, "Also, Dererick Henry is right on Marcus Allen's heels with 123 touchdowns. How many games do you think it'll take King Henry to pass him for number three on the alltime rushing touchdowns list?" And boom, you you got that question answered on Sunday cuz Derrick Henry not only got one touchdown, not only two touchdowns, but that man got three touchdowns. So yeah, I believe that put him cuz at first he had tied for number three overall, but then once he scored the other two touchdowns, that put him at number three overall by himself, I believe. Uh, and he said, [clears throat] "Where do you think he ultimately lands on the list by the time he retires?" Said Emtt Smith is at number one. Leia Thomasson is at number two, and Emtt Smith got 164, Leia Thomasson got 145. Um, I would think it depends on how long he plays, man. Because 145 is right. It's like it's right there. It's right there. Um, he could possibly obviously that's a lot of touchdowns. That's like 20 something touchdowns. He He could get that this year though. He I mean, he off to a good start. And the the pace he's on right and I know it's not going to be like this. I mean, if Ravens want it to be, that's fine. But the pace he's on right now, what's three times 17? Whatever that number is. Boom. So that could be Oh, that's 51 touchdowns, I think, cuz 17 times two is 34, I believe. Then 34 plus 17 is 51. So yeah, hey, he don't pay for it. So that's what the numbers say. I ain't I ain't make it up. That's the math. But um he could he could get to it this year realistically. But that that's again a lot of touchdowns. But look, when you think about it, with the previous regime, there was so many games, so many times where they forgot about Derrick Henry. They forgot all about Derrick Henry. They stopped using him. They stopped incorporating him in the game plan. But his first year, he still was 20 yards away from getting 2,000. Last year, he still went for like either 14 or 1600 yards, I forget. But he still went he still went crazy both years despite the Ravens coaching staff forgetting about him and not using them uh at the end of so many games, not using them consistently enough. still went crazy both years. So imagine a coaching staff that actually does prioritize Derrick Henry and actually does use Derrick Henry. This man can do some insane stuff. So they started off nice. Now it's about the followup. What you going to do next? How's the consistency going to be? Because every team they ain't going to be giving up no three touchdowns and no Derek Kimmy. Not not every team. I mean hopefully they do, but it ain't going to be as easy every time. And Co is nice. They nice. So, we'll see how the season progresses, but Derrick Henry, he does really have a realistic shot at getting to number two overall in my opinion. Next question came from my guy Enick, and this was also prior to the game. And he said, "Patience." Oh, you know, us Ravens fans, we ain't got too much of that. We need it, but we ain't got too much of it. Anyway, he said, "Good morning, Raven. Uh, here we are one day before the Ravens season opener and I have a question for you. First though, I heard on a recent video that you've been going through a tough time. I know the leader of Team Keeper Clean is always holding it down, but offscreen real life happens. Oh, [laughter] perfectly said. Real life happens. It does. It's It's still happening, but got no choice but to just deal and keep it pushing. That's That's all we can do, man. But I I appreciate you, man. Uh he said, "I'm praying for you and the family to come through whatever it is stronger, better, and standing tall." Appreciate that, Yiannic. Thank you, man. He said, "Now for my question. With all the preseason talk about coaching changes, the organizations uh each coach went to uh and the talent they are inheriting, how patient will Ravens fans be if mentors Ravens stumble early on or miss the playoffs? [snorts] How patient will Ravens fans be? Uh not very not not very because the reason that Ravens fans at we wouldn't be patient is because our expectations are super high. And our expectations are not super high just based off of our feelings alone, but they're based off of what Jesse Mentor told us to do. He he told us from jump from jump. Hey, he said high have high expectations for me. Have high expectations for this coaching staff. Continue to have high expectations for this football team. He told us that this offseason after becoming Ravens head coach. He wasn't like, "Oh, no. I'm I'm a new head coach, so y'all y'all take it easy on me. Oh, I'm a new head coach, so let let me settle in a little." No, he accepted all the pressure, all the expectations that we got. So that's why our expectations remain high. That Well, that's one of the reasons, but another reason is because you look at our team, like first off, most important position quarterback. We got that set right now. We we got the best in the le the best in the world, man. So having Lamar Jackson as our quarterback, yeah, our expectations are through the then you got Derek like we ain't got to go through the whole roster, but our roster pretty nice overall, man. We got some little holes here and there and whatnot, but overall Rosa is pretty nice. So that's why because of our team, we have high expectations because of uh what we've done recently. And I know it was a previous coaching staff, it was a different coaching staff, but they showed us like, hey, hey, we could do some things. And a lot of us felt like primary reason for us losing a lot of those games was because of the coaching staff. Not it wasn't all on the coaching staff. It was on the players, too. But a lot of it started before a lot of the games even began, before the clock even started. A lot of the decision that the previous coaching staff made were like, "Whoa, what what's going on?" So now we got a new coaching staff. Things are fresh, things are new, and things seem better. Now we got to get through the whole season to really analyze, but things seem better. This offseason was amazing. This was an amazing offseason. Just watching how this new staff handled everything, how they conducted business, how they handled themselves, and how they handled this team, too. It It has been amazing to see and amazing. It's crazy because everything that we heard about in offseason, we've been seeing it. We've been seeing it. We saw it in the preseason. We saw it in the regular season in the first game. So much stuff that we heard, we seen it. It wasn't just, oh man, the Ravens are saying this, but then we see the final product and it's like, whoa, I thought you said no, it wasn't none of that. like everything that they talked about they have done so far. So yeah, it's it's it's a it's a new era, man. It's a beautiful era, too, by the way. Um and and we love it. So we just we we hope it continues. And as far as patience, like you said, we the the patience is low is and and the reason that it's low is because we've been patient enough with the previous staff. And I know that's the previous staff. you can't hold the previous staff. Well, you can't hold the hold the new staff. You can't hold the previous staff against the new staff cuz it's two completely different staffs. But, um, we've been waiting. We've been waiting. We've been patient enough and we done had these teams where it's like, "Oh yeah, this going to be the year." And we done had that feeling where, oh yeah, this going to be the year. And then it turns out it's not the year. We end up losing. So, yeah. I mean, again, we there's patience, but when you said stumble, even missed the playoffs, that would feel like a failure. And that ain't even just coming from me. I think Jesse Mento would tell you that himself if the Ravens somehow missed the playoffs. I think he will stand up on that podium and say, "I failed you all. I failed you." I could certainly see him saying that. Just taking accountability, taking ownership of that. Now, I don't foresee him saying that cuz hey, we not only making the playoff, we going all the way. But I I could see Jesse Mentor being the type of coach to be like, "Hey, my fault." Uh, he also said, "Congratulations on the channel growing to almost 90,000 subscribers." Oh yeah, we we close. I don't want to say how far away we are from 90,000 because I feel like every time I speak on it, then everything just slows down ex extremely. So, I ain't even going to say how far how close we are to it. But hey, let's subscribe to the channel. Let's hopefully get to 90,000 subscribers. That would be great. That would be amazing. That would be fun. And we're going to celebrate. But how far how close we are from it, who knows? I ain't going to speak on it, but I appreciate you eating on it. He said, "I remember when you were hoping to reach 20K while shooting videos in your car on your lunch break." O man, he said, "Uh, just keep grinding." I appreciate that. I appreciate that. It's always nice and it's special. Um, but it's important to reflect and to appreciate. I always tell y'all how I wish the channel would be booming. And I wish it WOULD BE GOING CRAZY every single video getting 50,000 views, 60,000, 75. Oh, that would be great, man. And I wish we getting more and more subscribers and things were just going crazy nonstop all the time. But it's not like that. And if you get caught up, and there have been times where I got caught up in that thinking like, man, I wish this would happen, this would be happening, and this will be happening. Oh man. But it's important to reflect and be grateful off of what is happening, what has been happening. And I'm grateful for that, man. And I gotta thank y'all for that, man. Cuz y'all every video y'all come through like some some of y'all might be like thinking it's something small. Like when we drop a video and I see somebody, oh, first usually it's my guy King Blaze, but sometimes some other people get it. Very rarely, but some other people get it. But like that's special, man. Like I remember the very first time that that happened. I was like, "Oh my goodness, man. This is crazy." Because I remember seeing that comment on so many other channels like when people somebody drop a video first like that means that that that that would let people know especially the creator of the video that people are excited to actually watch whatever that creator is talking about whatever kind of video they making. So when I first saw that on our I said whoa. And then just a consistency see just consistency of people just talking about whatever we talking about in a video. People having conversations with each other about whatever the conversation is, man. And everybody doing it with respect is it's is so is it's just so special, man. And I'm very appreciative of it. I would love for it to be like, "Yeah, that ain't going down." I would have never thought that, but it happened, which is crazy. And I'm grateful for it. And as much times as I get frustrated with how stuff is or is not going, um, it's important to always just be grateful for what's happened already, uh, and what has been happening, too.
