Video summary
The video focuses on the Savage Secons, widely considered the most underrated combiner team from the original Generation 1 Transformers line, featuring their combined form known as Piranicon. Introduced in 1988, this group of sea monster bots arrived slightly too late for the animated series but made appearances in television commercials and Marvel comics before being killed off shortly after. The presenter reviews a specific reissue set from Big Bad Toy Store, noting that while it is functionally identical to the original G1 toys, it features some minor differences like pink collars instead of purple and pre-applied decals. The team consists of six smaller bots—Overbite, Nautilator, Tentacill, Scalor, Sea-wing, and the leader Snap Trap—who can transform into terrifying aquatic creatures, dual-wield guns, and combine into a massive robot.
Each member of the Secons is examined in detail for their unique creature modes, gun modes, and robot forms, highlighting both their impressive sculpting and specific articulation quirks. The smaller bots are praised for their ability to transform into trident-like blasters by manipulating their heads, fins, and legs, though the presenter notes that removing small parts like claws is not recommended due to the risk of loss. Snap Trap stands out as the leader and main torso of Piranicon, featuring a snapping turtle design with unique "pompom" guns on his back and a chrome sword accessory. While some members like Sea-wing are described as having goofy robot modes or tight joints, the overall color schemes and paint applications are generally appreciated, despite occasional issues with decals or stability in their combined state.
The core of the review involves demonstrating the complex transformation process required to assemble Piranicon from its individual components. The presenter explains how Snap Trap forms the central body, while Scalor and Tentacill serve as the legs, and Nautilator is utilized as an arm due to its claw attachments, despite being somewhat bulky. Sea-wing provides the other arm, and Overbite transforms into the primary weapon for the combined form. Although the final Piranicon figure is described as a "glorious mess" that tends to be wobbly and difficult to keep standing upright due to the sheer number of parts and combiner joints, the presenter expresses deep affection for the team's unique gimmicks and 80s aesthetic. The video concludes by comparing the size of the Secons to other G1 figures like Megatron and Menosaur, ultimately recommending this late-80s combiner team as a must-have for collectors who appreciate weird sea monsters and triple-changers.

The most underappreciated combiner team
from the original Transformers
generation 1 toy line has to be 1988
Savage Secons and their awesome combined
form of Piranicon. These bots
transformed into terrifying sea monsters
and the smaller bots could actually
transform into guns that Piranicon could
use in battle. So, not only were they a
combiner team, but they were also Target
masters. Now, the Secons hitting the toy
shelves in 1988 meant that they arrived
a little too late to appear in the
animated series, though they were
animated in their television commercial.
>> New Transformers are here. Now, from the
bottom of the sea come the monsters of
the deep, the target master.
>> Target master transformers. They got the
power to surprise. And when they join
with their leader to form Piranicon,
anyone can become the god.
>> They made their first appearance in
Marvel comics in issue number 46 and
then they were killed off in issue 50.
Secons, we barely knew you. So now
without further ado, let's take a look
at these awesome, unique, very late8s
combiner team. Don't forget to like,
don't forget to subscribe, and welcome
to Patriot Prime Reviews.
They call me Patriot [music] Crime,
showing what's new. Transformers reviews
with a heartfelt view.
Now, we'll kick things off by taking a
look at the Secons in their creature
modes. First, starting left to right, we
have Overbite, Nautilator, the Secon
leader, Snap Trap, [music]
Tentacill, Scalor, and Sea-wing. Now,
full disclaimer, this Secon set is
actually the big bad toy store reissue
from 2010. So, it's exactly like the
original except for some collar
differences and added chrome that I'll
get into shortly. So, let's take a look
at my favorite Overbite, the shark
monster thing. Now, the Decepticons had
something for shark monsters. This is
actually the third. We had Naw and we
had Ripper Snapper. Now, speaking of the
collar differences with the reissue, the
original Nautilator, his pink sections
right here were purple in G1, but I
don't mind the pink. So, taking a close
look at the shark monster thing. He
looks pretty good. I love the sculpted
detailing. I love the paint
applications. He's got a gun mounted up
in under his chin that you can remove.
You don't have to have that on. The arms
can move and they can actually pop out.
They are removable, but I advise against
that. You don't want to lose them. He's
got a jaw that can open and close
barely. Let's see. Legs can move.
There's a knee bend. There's kind of a
ankle tilt as well. The fin can flop
back and forth. And the tail can move.
And the tail fin can move. Now, a lot of
that is for [music] transformation.
Like I said in the intro, all of these
smaller bots have a secondary gun mode,
or I guess a third mode, the gun. And
for his gun mode, you're going to extend
the head and bring it up just like so.
And then collapse it back in. Take the
back section here and kind of angle it
however you want. The legs, bring the
legs, let's say I like them, forward
like so. And then you're going to take
his underslung gun from his chin, plug
it in right there, [music] bring the
arms down so they're kind of facing
forward. So then you have this trident
looking
blaster thing. And oh yeah, you got to
extend the handle.
So there you go. There is his gun mode.
Now all the smaller bots did come with
stands. So, if you want to display your
figure in gun mode, you just peg it in
right there on the top. If I can get it.
And
there you go. I don't know of anybody
who displayed their figures in gun mode.
So, anyway, there's that. Hold the stand
apart. Now, let's get him transformed
into his robot mode. Just remove the gun
tip. Extend the head out all the way.
Rotate these claws back toward the shark
head. Take the fin, fold it back. Take
the tail, bring it down. The handle is
the head. And then bring the arms
forward. Flip the feet down. And there
is Overbite in his robot mode. He's a
beefy boy. These guys look like the gym
bros I knew in the ' 90s. All they ever
worked out was their upper body. They
left the legs alone. Bring him in for a
closer look. Pretty decent face sculpt.
I wish there was some [music] more paint
applications. was trying to get focused
in. You can make out the eyes. You can
make out the mouth plate decal right
there in the center of the chest. Now,
with this big bad toy store version, the
decals were already applied. So, you got
some messed up ones right there. I did
just recently order some toy hacks
decals for him. Articulation's pretty
good. The arms can do a complete 360.
And he actually has an elbow bend, so
you don't see that very often in these
smaller Transformers. You can put his
weapon in his hand. And there we have
Overbite all armed and ready for battle
and looking awesome. You can bring that
way back as well. Lots of backpack on
these guys. So there is Overbite.
[music]
Let's bring in Nautilator the lobster
monster. Now in reissues with the
secons, I think it was Beast Wars 2,
they always omit Nautilator here for
some reason. He gets no love whatsoever.
But he's this really cool lobster
monster thing. Love the paint
application. Love the decals. Got some
claws here on the front. He has an
undermounted gun as well that you can
remove and it actually pegs into his
mouth. So you can close his mouth back
up. So he does have mouth articulation,
but it is tight. You see the peg right
there? The claws can move. Even just
like overbite,
you can pop these [music] out if you
want, but mine are in there a little bit
tighter than over bites, but as I said,
I recommend you do not do that. Lots of
great sculpted detailing on this guy. I
dig him. I think he looks really cool.
Now, let's get into his weapon mode.
You're going to extend the tail. Flip
this section around.
Leave it out and extended. You've got
the handle right here.
And let's see. You're going to take his
blaster they had under his mouth or in
his mouth. Plug that in. And there is
the nautilator gun. Now, this one's not
too bad, but I wish the handle was
farther back. Um, but that's just me.
And of course, you can mount it like I
showed with overbite. All right, robot
mode. Leave the legs down. Go ahead and
bring this head section down and it'll
snap in place. and bring the claws
straight out because you're going to
take these legs and you'll bend them
back around the back section and you
want the claws to go between the legs to
kind of clean up the [music] look. Bring
these little arms forward and there we
have Nautilator in his robot mode. Once
again, big old chest, skinny legs. Bring
him in for a closer look. Pretty much
the same type of head sculpt that
Overbite had. He's got the mouth plate.
You can make out the eyes. Not too bad.
Wish there was some more paint
applications. [music] Let's see.
Articulation for him. The arms can move
up and down. And they are on a soft
ratchet, which is nice. And then we've
got his blaster. We'll go ahead and put
that in his hand.
So now we have Nautilator all armed and
ready for battle and looking pretty
cool. All right, next up, let's save the
leader for last. Let's take a look at
Tentacill next. some kind of weird
looking octopus monster. Now, he does
have eight arms, even though you only
see six. You got the three here on each
side. And then the tail, I believe, is
arms as well because you can see the
little suction cups. And then he has
legs. Uh articulation for him, the
little arms can move back and forth. And
that's it. And I guess the tail can wag
or just separate the whole section.
[music]
Now, this tail, for normal
transformation, you want to bring the
tail all the way up to cover the robot
head, but then he's so topheavy, he
doesn't want to stand. So, you kind of
have to bring the tail down one notch in
order to get him to stand. [music]
He does have weapons that attach to his
the side of his head right there. And
we'll go ahead and remove those so you
can take a look at him. Gunfree [music]
decals look pretty good. I do like the
paint applications. I like the black for
the face, the yellow eyes. I wish there
was black painted in the mouth to really
make those teeth pop. But still, all in
all, he he's weird and wonderful. Let's
get into his weapon mode. You're going
to extend the head section here. Flip
this around like so. Then, let's see.
Where's the handle? Flip it down. And
from here, you're going to take the two
guns he had mounted on his head, and
these [music] actually peg together. If
I could get the section here. Here we
go. There we go. So, you got these two.
The port goes in a hole. Peg that
together like so.
Having one peg right there on the front,
which is going to peg in right here.
So, there is Tentacill [music] in his
blaster mode. Of course, you can bring
the arms up if you'd like to kind of
make it look more streamlined.
And I guess you can bring that in, too.
So, yeah. There you go. It's a gun. All
right, let's get him into robot mode.
Remove that. Fully extend this section,
which is going to be the robot legs.
Take this section here with the tail and
the legs. Bring that all the way down. I
guess I could have showed articulation.
Does legs move? Oh, yeah. Legs do move.
Man, they're tight. So, anyway, bring
the handle down. Bring the arms forward.
You can bring these back as well. like
the little suction cups. And there you
go. There is Tentacle in his robot mode.
Looking very, very pink. I love these
guys. They're just so goddy. All right,
bring him in for a closer look. Great
looking head sculpt on Tentacill. Once
again, I wish he had some painted in
eyes, but still, that's not too bad.
Decals here on the chest. Uh, he's not
as bulky up top. He's a little bit more
streamlined than the others.
articulation. The arms can go up and
down. And let's see. Let's get him all
armed up. We're going to take his
blaster, separate it. You can see he's
got two little pegs on each one. Those
are going to go in each hand so he can
dual wield.
Let's see. Get that in there.
And there you go, guys. There is
Tentacill. All armed and ready for
battle. Next up, let's take a look at
Scalor. And he's supposed to be is it a
celacanth? I I can't I'm not sure how to
pronounce that fish. I'm not an
oceanographer, but that's what he's
supposed to be. A fish monster with arms
and legs. And I like the looks of him.
He's got the [music] molded in scales
right there. He's got scales here on
top. Really fishy looking face. He's got
a jaw that can move up and down. It's
just actually full of teeth. Great
sculpted detailing back here on the back
for the tail. I like the fins on the
back of the legs. He's got guns mounted
on his back. So, all in all, man, that's
a really cool weird looking fish.
[music]
Let's uh get his weapons off. Go into
articulation. The arms can move up and
down. The legs can move back and forth.
There is a knee bend as well. And let's
see. Let's get into weapon mode. We're
going to extend the head like so and
bring it up.
Make sure that jaw is all the way up as
well cuz that's where the hole is. Not
sure if that head I think that's as far
as it goes.
There's a little peg right there. It
keeps go from going all the way up. And
just like with uh [music] Tentacill, you
going to take this gun and
squeeze it together making a double
barrel blaster. It's going to peg into
his jaw here.
Get the arms facing forward. Forward or
back? I mean, I like them facing forward
because I kind of dig the uh trident
look. [music] Bring the head down. Bring
the legs forward.
Bring that keep that fin up. And there
is Scalor's blaster. [music] So, not too
bad. It's It's It's a fish gun. All
right, let's get him transformed into
robot mode. Bring the arms back toward
the head. Kind of like over bites
transformation. Extend those legs all
the way down. Take the fin, fold it
back. Fold this back. Pop the head up.
Bring the arms forward and flip out the
fists that are sometimes hard to get a
hold of. And you talk about doing
nothing but over body, upper body.
This guy, man, he is all torso. And
unfortunately, he looks like he has a
clown nose. The paint has been scraped
off of his nose right there. That that
sucks, but [music] is what it is. They
also put the Decepticon symbol on
crooked. I have those legs out all the
way. I do. So, yeah, there is uh Scalor
in his robot mode. Articulation. The
arms can do a complete 360 and there's
an elbow bend as well. And that's it.
Let's get him all armed up. Take the
blaster, split it apart,
put one in one hand. Now, with him, you
have to angle the hands down slightly or
that blaster will not fit [music]
because of the fin right there. And then
you kind of straighten them up. Or maybe
it's when you go all the way up, they
kind of have an angle. So, anyway, get
those in.
Get that pegged in. And there we go.
Scalor all armed and ready for battle.
And the last smaller bot we're going to
take a look at is Sea Wing. He is a
manoray with legs. He doesn't have arms,
just legs this time. Looks really good.
Um, I dig the looks of this guy. I I
think manor rays are cool anyway. And
Sewing just [music] pops. He's got a
great looking color scheme. I love the
black with the head, the yellow eyes,
gray here for the wings. He's got the
tail on the back that I wish maybe was a
little longer, but is what it is. He
does have an opening mouth right there,
a jaw that can go up and down, and
[music] legs that can move. His blasters
tuck in under his wings, and we're going
to remove those so we can take a look at
C-wing in his gun mode. What we're going
to do is extend these black sections
[music]
all the way out.
One sticks. There we go. Then you're
going to rotate these around
just like so. And then push them back.
Go underneath. Take the legs. Bring the
legs back. Flip [music] out the handle.
Right there. And now, just like the last
few we've had, you're going to take the
guns and these [music] will actually peg
together right there. You can see the
two different pegs. There we go. Peg
those together. Plug it into the front
of C-wing. You'll make sure these black
sections do go all the way back flush.
They are not for some. There we go.
Sewing's tricky for some reason. Okay.
Got to get the wings up slightly. Get
that back. Okay. Now, plug that in.
And there is C- Wings gun mode. Of
course, I believe you bring that up as
well. So, yeah, there you go. a manoray
double barrel blaster. All right, let's
finish him up and get him in robot mode.
Take these black sections, extend all
the way down, forming the robot legs.
Make sure they go all the way down.
Now, we're going to take the tail, bring
[music] the tail down around the wings,
revealing the robot head. Flip the
handle down. Bring the robot [music]
arms down as you rotate those feet
around, revealing the fists.
And there's Seawing in robot mode. He's
got my least favorite robot mode. And I
think it's all due to this crotch
section right here. He looks like he's
wearing a very, very long loin cloth.
[music]
And I I just think he's goofy. Like the
rest of these aren't goofy, but he's my
least favorite robot mode.
Decent enough head sculpt. I love the
fact he has a painted in visor. So, the
[music] collar is different from the
rest of the head, but that's because the
rest of the head is unpainted plastic.
Articulation, the arms can do a complete
360. And he's got a hell of a backpack.
You can get those swings out of the way
a little bit. You can bring the tail
[music] down slightly, but not much. All
right, let's get his guns in hand. We're
going to separate these two again. And
they are hard to get apart. There we go.
So, put these in his hand with the wings
facing out. There's one. There is the
other. And there is Sewing. All armed
and ready for battle. So, that's it for
the smaller bots. Let's take a look at
the leader of the Secon. Sorry, didn't
mean to hit the camera. Here we have
Snap Trap. Uh, Snap Trap's kind of odd
because the rest of the guys are sea
creatures. And Snap Trap here, I guess,
is a snapping turtle. He's definitely
not a sea turtle. So, he's a I guess his
name is Snap Trap. So, I'm going to say
he is a snapping turtle. He looks great.
I love the collar scheme. He's big. He's
bulky. He is armed to the teeth. He's
got a gun mounted on top. He's got guns
here on the front. And these guns have a
really cool feature. Remove this one.
You have this lever. Move this back and
forth and guns like have a pompom
attack. I like it. Like boom boom boom
boom boom. I dig it. I love that as a
kid. We'll go ahead. Well, let's leave
that off. Uh he has these chrome blades
on the back that can move back and
forth. A lot of people in turtle mode
have him face like that way. I like mine
facing forward as he's going by you. He
could gut you, whatever. Uh, he's got a
jaw that could open and close. It can
snap shut. After all, he's a snapping
turtle. The legs can go forward and back
on the front, and they are on ratchets.
Hear that? Love that sound. Back legs
are on ratchets as well. And they do
have a slight reverse knee bend, if you
will. And that's pretty much it for Snap
Trap. He doesn't have a gun mode because
he is the main body of Piranicon. Let's
game transformed into robot mode. We're
going to remove the back half of the
shell.
Fits in there tight. It actually got
these ridges right here that go in the
ridges right there where you see these
little pegs. So, put that to the side.
From here, we're going to unsnap the
rear legs.
Bring them all the way around and up.
Take these sections here and bring these
all the way down. on. These are the
robot legs.
And once those go all the way down,
there are heel spurs on the back. Flip
those down. From here, you're going to
bring the front legs of the turtle down
and extend these out where the fists are
going to automatically deploy. I like
that. So, bring them down, around,
and out pop the fists. Then you're going
to rotate the turtle head down and
around revealing the robot head. Now
with my snap trap, what I did is this
big bad toy store version, the robot
head was the same color as the turtle
head. So what I did is I [music] bought
a generation one snap trap and traded
off the heads. I just think that black
looks a lot better. So great looking
head sculpt. I love the yellow eyes. I
love the black head. uh Decepticon decal
right there. That's not the one that
came with the figure when I traded off
heads. I had to remove the decals to get
the head apart. [music]
Decals on the shoulders. Uh he's got a
hell of a backpack as well.
Articulation.
Arms can rotate. And there is an elbow
bend. And I guess the legs can go in and
out if you will as well. The pompom
feature on the back does still work, but
he's firing straight up in the air. Uh
that's it for articulation. Now, one
thing about Snap Trap, he is extremely
back heavy. And even those little heel
spurs, well, I spoke too soon. But you
do have to watch him. He can fall over
pretty easy. All right, let's get him
all armed up. First off, the gun he had
on his back. That is his main rifle. So,
we'll get that pegged in his hand. And
another awesome thing. There he goes
trying to fall. All right. Make sure
those heels are down.
Another thing that the Big Bad Toy Store
exclusive has is this awesome chrome
sword. The original G1 figure, its sword
was all this purple collar right here.
Big Bad Toy Store gave him a chrome
sword. God, that thing is beautiful.
We're going to put that in his other
hand,
just like so.
And lastly, we have the back half of the
turtle shell, which you can turn into a
shield. Kind of bring those forward. And
he's got these little pegs underneath
here. Just flip out one and it's going
to peg in right there in his shoulder.
So, you got that look going on. So,
there you go. You got Snap Trap all
armed and ready for battle along with
the rest of the Secons. Who is he hiding
back here? There he is. Good old Sea
Wing. So there's the uh secons alto
together in robot mode. Now let's get
them transformed into the mighty
piranha.
The first thing you need to do before
the transformation into piranacon is to
remove all the smaller weapons and
accessories. So let's start with Snap
Trap, who's going to be the main body
and torso of Piranicon. First thing
we're going to do is take the arms,
rotate them up, and collapse those fists
in. and then rotate the arm all the way
around where this curved section is
facing forward. Do that here on the
other side. These fist will not collapse
in until you get the green section.
Rotate it around. Okay. Rotate that arm
there. So, we've got that going on. Take
the heel spurs. Fold those up. And now
you're going to bring the legs out
and back in
just like so. Now we've got Piranicon's
head right here, which is going to slide
right over Snap Trap's head. Just like
that. Now we're going to take the shield
from earlier underneath. You got these
two pegs that you're going to pull out.
We only used one earlier. And those are
going to snap in along this section here
of snap trap. Kind of tricky to get it
in there just right. You see where they
slide in right there.
Well, went in easier than I thought. And
we're going to bring those down slightly
where the chrome parts kind of cover up
the arms. And that's pretty much it for
the torso of Piranicon. We'll go ahead
and show that off real close. Love the
head sculpt. Got that nice combination
of the black and yellow. Very unique
looking mouth plate. Got some decals
here on the chest plate. You got the
chrome blades right there. compared
Decepticon insignia there near the waist
section. So, all right. So, next up now,
of course, he's a Scramble City
combiner, and you can combine these guys
any way you want. Sorry, I hit the
camera again. This is the way I like to
do it. I'm going to use Scalor and
Tentacill as my legs.
Pretty simple. Go ahead and collapse the
robot leg in like so. Bring the arms
down and rotate the fists in on Scalore.
Grab you a foot plate. And with
Piranicon, I don't think Yeah, there's a
left and a right. So, he's going to be
the right foot. I'll plug that in right
there on the bottom. Just like so.
Grab Tentacill.
Collapse the legs.
That's pretty much it for him. Get a
foot plate.
Peg that in.
There we go. So, we got the two legs.
All right. Technical difficulties. Got
the two legs here. Just like every other
Scramble City combiner, the head's going
to go up in those little ports for the
legs. Just snap those in just like so.
And there we go. Let me see if I can
adjust that camera a little bit. Okay.
Now I have Piranicon all in frame. Let's
use C-wing for the right arm. Let's see.
You're going to bring the tail up. Bring
the arms [music]
back.
Extend this section here, the handle,
which is now going to be the shoulder
joint. Like so. Bring the wings all the
way up. And take these [music] black
sections, and you'll bring those all the
way forward. So, you have room to plug
in the hand.
See, we're on a right hand.
So, there we go. Plug that in right
there. And now this will plug in right
on that port on Snap Trap shoulder. So
we got the right arm attached. Now we're
going to use tentacle, not tentacle. Not
ailator. Let's see. Bring the arms down.
Go ahead and bring the head. Let's see.
Bring these arms out
and bring the head up. Rotate the tail.
Fold in the handle. And you're going to
take the jaw right here. Open this up
all the way.
Bringing in the fist
just like so. Bring the claws forward.
Now, I love using Nautilator as an arm
because I like the fact he has those
claw attachments. It's like he has extra
weapons on his arm. Now, a big issue
with Nautilator using him as an arm.
Oops, that popped back in. Is these
multiple legs get in the way. They will
not fold back. If you use him as a leg,
you can kind of bring the arms in like
so, but I still like using him as an arm
myself. Just be wary that he is very
bulky and kind of cumbersome. So, you
got the peg out here. You going to peg
this in just like so. And there we have
Piranicon all complete, but he's missing
his weapon. Now, you could use the gun
that Snap Trap came with, or we've got
this spare secon here. I like to use
Overbite as my weapon. So, get him into
gun mode. Take the tail. Bring the tail
around. Bring it up. I like the fin up.
See? Bring the arms down. Bring that
back. Bring the legs
back. Kind of like to really extend it
to make kind of look like a rifle. There
we go. Bring the head down to form the
handle.
Okay.
Get the blaster and peg that in. And now
get him pegged in here. See, using
C-wing, I've got clearance for the gun.
Now, looking at Piranicon's hands, they
have the feature in it that kind of
looks like the joints for the combiner.
That's so the head from the robots or
the guns will fit correctly. So, let's
get that rifle in his hand, his shark
gun. And there we go. We've got him all
armed up with Nautil or shoot, I keep
forgetting the name, Overbite as the
gun. And now, let's get his sword in
hand. So, I showed you earlier that he
came with this sword right here. But
back in the day, we had upgrade sets
that were available to us, too. And who
all remembers Crazy Devi? They have a
much larger piranacon sword that looks
absolutely fantastic. I mean, that's
just a little dinky thing, but this
looks amazing. So, we'll go ahead and
get that in his hand. Get that arm
rotated around. Get that pegged in. And
there we go, guys. We got Piranicon all
armed and ready for battle and looking
fantastic. He is so bulky and goofy. He
is glorious and he does not want to stay
together. You got to make sure those
joints are in all the way. There we go.
So, yeah, he's he's a mess, but he is a
glorious mess. And I love that gigantic
sword. See, here's the [music] problem
with Nautilator. Once again, those legs,
you really can't rotate those arms
around a lot. He does have decent enough
articulation. It's combiner
articulation. The arms can rotate
around. Mine's a little stiff. Uh
there's no articulation for the head,
but still this this guy is just awesome.
He is so gloriously 80s. He does have
another issue where he does like to lean
forward. Watch this. He just kind of
hunches hunches over a little bit. So I
always worry about him on my display.
And there he is falling apart. So yeah,
part of the problem may be uh I have
this one foot on backwards. That's what
happens when you try to look through the
camera to film. So now that that foot's
on straight. Yeah, he stands a lot
better. So man, like I said, I
absolutely love Piranicon. He is a great
looking combiner. He is a little floppy.
He's a little bit hard to stand. And
that just being because of all the
multiple parts and pieces all the
individual bots have. But I love this
figure. I think he's glorious and he
looks absolutely stunning on my shelf.
And now for some quick size comparisons.
Here is 1988's Transformers Generation 1
Piranicon [music]
with Generation 1 Megatron,
Generation 1 Menosaur, who also has a
crazy Devi sword.
And for a modern figure comparison,
Transformers Generation Selects
Galvatron 2.
1988's Transformers Generation 1 Secon
is a great combiner team that is
absolutely loaded with gimmicks. You've
got triplech changing smaller robots
that transform into weird sea monsters,
guns, and [music] robots. The leader
Snap Trap is pretty cool with his pompom
guns. I love the goddy color scheme and
Piranicon himself is pretty badass
looking. [clears throat] Though he is a
little wobbly and wonky and doesn't stay
together the greatest, but that may be
due to the combination of figures that
I'm using. Trying out different
combinations with the smaller robots may
make him more steady, but [music] this
is the one that I like. So, what do you
guys think of 1988's Transformers
Generation 1 Secon? Let me know in the
