Video summary

The video chronicles a deeply emotional journey centered on the birth story of twins, beginning with the initial shock and joy of discovering the pregnancy before escalating into significant anxiety due to various health scares. The narrator describes feeling like "three people in one" while carrying twin girls, highlighting two specific moments of fear: sudden bleeding during travel that was miraculously resolved after praying the rosary, and a terrifying home invasion where their sanctuary was breached just as they were preparing for an ultrasound revealing twins. These traumatic events forced them to flee temporarily but ultimately reinforced their belief in divine protection, transforming their perspective from one of vulnerability to a profound sense of being watched over by God. Following these crises, the family sought spiritual solace and healing at Lourdes, France, where millions gather to pray for miracles. The experience there was described as magical and awe-inspiring, with thousands of people walking in procession holding candles, creating an atmosphere that brought immense peace and relief after their recent trauma. This period of reflection allowed them to reframe their struggles as part of a larger protective plan rather than random misfortune. They also visited the church where they were married less than eighteen months prior for the baptism of their children, marking it as one of three pivotal moments in their lives where they felt God's presence most strongly—first at their wedding visioning their relationship, then during the home invasion scare, and finally while bringing their new family into a sacred covenant. The narrative reaches its climax with the actual birth, capturing the raw intensity of delivering twins simultaneously. The first baby arrived crying vigorously, signaling she was healthy enough to be placed on her mother's chest for skin-to-skin contact, but the second baby emerged without breathing well and required immediate transfer to the NICU due to lung issues that persisted for twenty-four hours. This separation caused immense heartache as the mother spent long nights in a different hall trying to ensure her daughter was safe while missing out on holding both children immediately after delivery. Despite the stress, lack of sleep, and complications like severe preeclampsia requiring emergency room visits over several weeks, the family found strength through their faith community and medical staff, viewing these challenges as tests that deepened their connection to God and each other. As the story concludes with the twins finally home and recovering from hospitalization, the focus shifts entirely to the overwhelming fulfillment of parenthood and watching their children grow. The parents express immense joy in seeing their daughters smile upon waking, dance to music, and explore new foods, describing this phase as a beautiful adventure filled with love rather than fear. They reflect on how nothing compares to the satisfaction of raising their family, noting that despite having produced over forty movies and traveled extensively for business, being a wife and mother provides an incomparable level of purpose. Ultimately, they define greatness not through external achievements but by staying present in the moment, serving others with love, and enjoying the ride as they guide their children into life under God's protection.

One week away. Pretty much. What are you excited about? >> Do you guys do the thing? Take one puff. >> All right. Are you guys ready? >> We found out that we are pregnant. We got a phone call. I remember cuz we were upstairs. >> [laughter] >> Part of me felt like what if it didn't [music] happen? First, it was finding out that I was pregnant. And the other thing is to find [music] out that they were twins. >> Yes. >> Cuz it was a different thing. >> That was kind of the start of the journey. >> Yeah. >> Let's show the belly where you're at right now. >> Okay. Can you see? >> Oh. >> And the water broke. >> [laughter] >> Belly. >> See? >> Yes. Yes. So, how's it feel being pregnant? >> It feels like the stakes are higher, obviously. Right at this moment, I'm three people into one. >> You have three people. That's true cuz we have >> [music] >> we have twins. >> Yes. >> twins. >> [laughter] >> I forgot I I said it. >> We waited months until we announced it. We shot a video right here. >> Said mom, dad. >> Oh, yeah. >> And then [music] another hat that said twins and dad. >> But it wasn't until we were in the ultrasound for the first time when we heard And then a second And then I was like oh, this is like hits my body. Like this is how I feel. >> moment for you. [music] >> You hope everything goes well. You hope they're healthy. You hope like there's no complications. >> For me, they were [music] two big moments of anxiety. One of them was you were traveling and then suddenly I'm bleeding. That day specifically, [music] it happened to be that my brother and his wife were staying at the house. We started praying the rosary. And then I felt peace. >> [music] >> And then immediately after we finished it, the bleeding went away. >> I went to Spain to go, you know, pursue my handball dream. And so I was playing in Spain for a few weeks. Then Martha came out. Before she came out, this home got broken into. They broke through glass all over the place. They came through the window. >> And that was very scary because our home is our sanctuary. So it's our home. It's not a house, it's our home. >> sacred place. >> Yes. >> It felt like someone was taking advantage of us at the highest level. You know, someone was watching us. Someone was planning this. And it feels like a big threat. >> And when I was here, I don't know why, but [music] I just had a feeling and I said, "What if tonight I stay at my mom's house?" Even when I was leaving the house, I remember I stayed a little bit longer to make sure that the gate would close, which can tell you that I was sensing something, but I didn't know. >> And so when I got home and I saw everything, I went, "They did break in." >> That's crazy. >> So it's more like a confirmation. And then [music] I went upstairs and the first thing I saw is the rooms ransacked. And obviously, the first thing that I did was to call Luis. >> Check the cameras to see who it was cuz we have cameras in the front door and the back door. >> And then was the second question was, "Are these people still in the house?" >> Yeah, what if they're still there? I didn't know if it happened right then or the night before. >> Call the police and get out of that house. >> The police shows up, then detectives show up, then forensics show up. And I was like, "Wow, this is like a CSI episode." >> Oh, for real? >> For real. They said, "Do not touch anything." Which was also kind of horrible because it feels like, "Okay, you've been violated, but also everything has to stay the way it is." >> Martha was protected by leaving and our girls were protected thankfully. And also if I was in town, I probably would have fought back. I probably would have done something and who knows what would have happened, but I probably would have tried to defend myself and defend them. Who knows [music] if I'd even be here had they come in and I was here. >> And all of that time inside of me I was thinking are the babies okay? I cannot let my emotions to get a hold of me because they are going to affect the babies. So I think I was very steady until the final forensics team was gone, then I broke down. >> Then she got emotional. >> Then I started crying and I was like >> It's a lot. >> Yeah. >> I always think well, maybe it meant to be this way to protect us from something worse happening. >> Ever since we met we we've thought about this the same way. >> Look at these Look at these lovebirds, Grayson. Look at that. That's like us right now. >> See, they're loving each other. >> Oh, look at that. Aw, look at that. We're like the birds. >> [music] >> We got everything situated [music] with the house and then Martha came out to stay with me for 3 weeks, 4 weeks in in Spain. And we had an amazing time in Spain and you know, walking around the city. >> And Luis was practicing handball, so I came to watch him how he played and then we went to a game, remember? That was so cool. That's my husband pursuing his dreams. >> She was like, "Hey, me and my mom have really wanted to go to this place in France called Lourdes." It was only like a 4 or 5 hour drive from where [music] we were. We're like, "Okay, let's tag this on for a couple days." >> [music] >> It's a spiritual place that has [music] water that has been known to heal people. >> Yes. >> We're in Lourdes, France and we're about to go to some procession. >> Millions of people come here to heal and to pray and to ask for healing and for protection. Ah, with the babies, yes. Look, can you tell now? >> And the moment we [music] got there, we checked into the hotel and they said, "Oh, it's happening right now." And we're like, "What's happening?" >> The procession. >> [music] >> It's magical. It's incredible. And there's [music] people from everywhere in the world >> Yes. >> that go there looking for healing, whether [music] it's healing of, you know, diseases and illnesses or the soul. >> Mhm. >> Everywhere in town, they give you these candles. >> And it was like, I don't know, 50,000 people walking with candles [music] and going and praying together. And it was like this beautiful ceremony and just a magical moment that was like awe-inspiring. And almost being around thousands of people who are all having an intention [music] and praying at the same time, praying for peace, praying for hope, praying for healing, it does something to you. Whether you believe in God or not, it's like when [music] you allow your heart to open up, you allow yourself to be in the presence of prayer. >> Yeah. >> You feel it energetically and your body feels [music] calm and relaxed. You feel peace. >> After what we went through, >> Yeah. >> the first scare, the second scare with the [music] breaking into the house, and then having that and then I felt, "Oh, no. I just got to remember everything's going to be okay. >> Yeah. >> We're being protected. It's everything's going to be fine." >> Yeah. >> And I all of a sudden felt a relief and I thought, "Oh, all the pregnancies [music] going to be great after this moment." >> What do you What do you wish for both of them? >> I wish for them to experience life as a wonderful adventure. And [music] an adventure for me has always meant that you are surprised >> [music] >> by the things that come your way in the most positive way. Adventure for me feels like growth and seeing new things and [music] learning new things and exploring >> [snorts] >> and if you do it holding God's hand and your parents' hands you're going to be in really good hands. >> [snorts] >> Yes. >> To teach us to you, we wish the next generation. >> We had announced online that we ever having twins, [music] but we didn't say it was twin girls cuz people like what's the gender? >> we didn't announce the gender. A lot of people thought it was a boy and a girl. >> Yeah, but we announced it what a month before they came. [music] So I said, "Wouldn't it be cool if we announced it in front of the Someone of Greatness community because I proposed to her at Someone of Greatness 3 years ago." >> Yeah. >> Then now they're going to get to see us like do the gender reveal. There's going to be smoke and lights and [music] whatever you see is going to be the first one. So I'll say, "Everybody ready?" and I'll go, "One, TWO, [cheering] THREE." >> THREE. >> [cheering] [laughter] >> CAN YOU IMAGINE WE SHOW THEM THIS VIDEO AND THEY'RE like >> 6 years you're going to be watching this 8 8 years or 10 years. >> "Yes." >> Hopefully you'll remember how much we love you, how much we appreciate you. >> much. >> Do you think they're going to look like me or you? >> I think they're going to look like both of us. >> Hopefully more like you. >> [laughter] >> How was the ultrasound? It was really good. They were so growing very healthy and they're a really good size for being twins. I feel very good. I feel very excited. I feel ready, actually. Almost. In 2 weeks they'll be here. >> How do you feel at week 34? Big? >> Very big. >> Very good. Let me see. >> I can see [music] it. Look. We have a very loving, peaceful home ready for you. We're going to play a lot of games. >> You can lay with me while I watch football and relax. >> You're going to watch a lot of football, I can tell. This is a beautiful world, and it is challenging at at times, but we serve and help and do what we can. >> Yes. >> To uplift people and make them feel better. Okay, Nina. Yes. >> Mhm. >> Right. >> Adios. We are 1 week away. We started to be a dad. We can't wait to hold you and kiss you and love you. >> Wow, they're moving. >> We have a beautiful family together. >> Good babies. We'll have a lot of fun. >> [snorts] >> No more. I'm gigantic. >> It's okay. We're excited to meet you very soon. >> Very soon. >> We'll see you soon. >> See See you soon. I think this is a very special moment for all moms or moms-to-be. Just feeling like I'm going to get to meet you. >> Mhm. >> That makes me emotional. >> Yeah. >> But it's like wow, these babies are, you know, growing. >> And you're talking to them every day. >> to them every day >> So excited to meet you because you have an amazing mother who's beautiful, and kind, and loving, and caring, and thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent. We've been waiting for this moment for 10 months or whatever. >> Yeah. >> And now it's here, and now there's no turning back. Once you get in there, it's chaos. [music] Whatever needs to happen to make sure she's good and the babies are good is what matters. >> When we're both there and I'm laying down, feeling like I'm just going to be, I want to hold your hand a lot. >> [music] >> Like strong and >> You got all the good people here. >> And look at you and >> [snorts] >> Yeah. I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes I think, oh, this is probably what people see when they die. You know, like when they say, oh, all the the visions of all your entire life pass [music] through you. There was a moment for me that it so quickly passed that like the the moment we met, how we started dating, how like the deep conversations, like me coming to your podcast, like us like building our life together and and uh >> Getting married. >> Getting married, having our home, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta, and then right there, we're having two [music] babies at once, not one, two. >> [laughter] >> Crazy. >> What's one message you want to tell the twins before they're born? >> Uh that we love you so much. Uh you, Todd, and I. We haven't [music] seen you yet, but we love you so much. It's been such a blessing to have you inside my belly. And they're they're right here right now. This is one's head and the other head is right here. >> Yeah. >> And she's like this. >> Like hearing my first daughter cry, I was like, she's alive. That was a beautiful moment. Are you feeling okay? >> Oh, they're fine, baby. Yeah. >> That's good. She's good. >> heart is pounding. [music] They're perfectly okay in your womb. But when they come out, are they going to be okay? >> to the [music] world. She's crying, she's good. Can you hear? It's good, she's healthy. Uh she's doing very good. >> You're going to get your second baby. >> Okay. >> And so, when the first baby came out, she came out crying really strong. But we were saying, I love you so much. I love you so much. I love you so much. And they were like, okay, everything is good. And now we're going to get baby B. >> And [music] then the second baby came and she wasn't crying. Baby B is out. It's good. >> Okay, baby B is out. And then they started going, Come on, baby. >> Breathe, baby, breathe. They were saying, breathe, baby, breathe. >> Come on, baby. She'll be okay. Oh my god. And I'm just like, holy I'm like, you don't have any control in that moment. There's nothing you can do. You're just like hoping that all these doctors are doing what they can to make sure your baby breathes. >> And the only thing that I can say is a phrase that my mom said to you, when you get married, God is holding your hand. When you have kids, God is holding your hand. >> It's good. It's good. >> It was a moment that I felt the [music] absolute certainty and confidence that everything was going to be okay. I was holding your hands. [music] We had our other baby and I just felt like she's going to be fine. >> First baby came over, they put her on your chest. You get to connect to her. You get to like see her [music] cheek to cheek and then she's on your chest. The second baby was still not breathing that well. >> No. >> And so >> And when they put her on me, she was just like this. >> Yes, her lungs were not really pumping that well. So, she had to go to the NICU. And so, one baby was away [music] from you for 24 hours. I was with her most of the time upstairs in a different hall trying to make sure that she was good. The whole experience was [music] a wild experience. It was a beautiful experience, you know, stressful and there was no sleep for days also. So, it was just like [music] an intense experience. >> Doesn't it make us value our moms love? >> Oh my god. >> go [music] through. >> Crazy. Yeah. >> Think about it. All of the All of the things that mothers go through. And then from that moment, >> [music] >> when you become a parent, and you're never not a parent. >> Yeah. >> You're always a parent, you know? >> [snorts] >> Yeah. >> Anyways, so that was the experience. >> [music] >> I've never seen Louis driving as slow. >> Ha! >> Cuz you're carrying most precious cargo. >> Yeah, the greatest gift. >> [laughter] >> But we got home, I think it was just like making sure they got up in their cribs was like the whole focus. I was like, we just need to get them home safe, and then it's going to be okay. >> Yes. [music] >> Bringing them here safe and happy was great. But over the next month, there was just a lot of complications with what you were going through. >> Yeah. It's very emotional for me to talk about it. There's a condition [music] called preeclampsia. It makes your blood pressure skyrocket. >> Yeah. >> And that's what happened. [music] >> It was midnight, and you were like, my blood pressure is over like 200 something, and it's not going down, and I feel like my heart is palpitating. So we took her to the emergency room, and it was a stressful night. I mean, the whole night, we couldn't get her blood pressure down. What are the doctors going to do? We just didn't know what was going on and how to really fix it. We were in the ER for, I don't know, eight or nine hours until we finally got you stable. [music] But even then, you were in and out of the hospital for the next few weeks. >> Yeah. And then every time I was in the hospital, I couldn't see my babies. It's a primal instinct that you want to be with your family and your babies. >> But I think at the center of it, you lean deeper into your connection to God. >> Literally, the hospital's called St. Joseph, which is the patron and protector of the family. >> Mhm. >> When one links back together, the feeling of like, okay, we're coming out of St. [music] Joseph's. >> We're leaving the hospital for the last time. >> Thank you, God. Thank you Virgin Mary. >> God. >> Thank you Providence. >> Virgin Mary, the moon. >> Uh all the nurses here were incredible. >> You did amazing. >> The doctors. >> Yeah. >> And here's the Virgin Mary. And then, oh my God, [music] when I had the babies inside, we went to Lourdes. We had this experience as well. It's like, "Everything's going to be fine. I know everything's going to be fine." >> All these signs and synchronicities kind of speaking to us. It was an intense few months after the babies came, but ever since then, it's been kind of like this beautiful adventure. Now, they'll [music] be 8 months here in a couple of weeks. They're getting so big. >> And one looks like me, and one looks like you. >> One is a white [music] girl, one's a Mexican girl. They're both beautiful, beautiful girls. So, it's been a beautiful journey. We eventually started going out of [music] the house more. >> Where are we? >> At the zoo with the babies. When we got them baptized, >> [music] >> it was in the same church where we got married. >> Which was beautiful. It's like kind of probably the three moments I felt God the most. When we got married [music] in the church, it was a spiritual experience in the center, by the altar, [music] focused on the vision for our relationship, the vision for our life, and what we were creating together. And then, being there not even a year and a half later to baptize our kids was also like a spiritual experience, creating the vision for their life. >> Yes. >> What we want for them as well. >> It's something I wanted since [music] they were born. And I feel now our babies are protected. I think also it's the [music] biggest sign of love to give your children the chance of heaven. Baptism was like literally, "Thank [music] you God that you were able to give us this. And that we have our family and our babies and all the people that came to the baptism [music] and to experience that together as a family." >> And then, I think maybe like the next week you finally felt like, "I can breathe." Yeah, yeah. And I feel like we're a much better system and a process and feel more grounded [music] in the whole journey. >> Just seeing them be and everything that they're curious [music] about and smiling and liking new food and all of that. Like seeing every [music] single little step and they grow >> So fast. >> Every day they're changing and I'm like My favorite part is like them waking up and seeing me and they like start smiling right away. It's like >> smile when they see us. >> picking them up and hugging them and they start kicking their legs and then I get excited when we play [music] music and they start dancing and they're really happy and dancing. It's the greatest gift in the world and I'm glad that you gave them to me. >> I love you. I'm glad you gave them to me, too. >> You did all the work. >> [laughter] >> I've never felt more fulfilled. >> [music] >> And I've done more than 40 movies. I produced, I traveled the world in different places, [music] I've had businesses and nothing is more fulfilling than having our babies, being your wife and having our family. [music] And that doesn't mean I don't get to do the other stuff if I, you know, but it's just to me the level of fulfillment cannot even compare. >> So we're 1 week away. What do you imagine our life will be like in 1 week after the twins arrive? >> Uh, amazing. It's already amazing. It's just going to get even more amazing. Going to feel like, "Wow, we get to live this adventure. It's the biggest adventures of our [music] lives." And just knowing that they're good and they're safe and that we created them with God and that we are here to [music] guide them and protect them. >> And to know our family is you and our babies, you know? And I love you so much. >> You're amazing. You're my cheesy. >> I love you. I love you. >> All right, are we good? What's your [music] definition of greatness? >> My definition of greatness is being in the moment, being love, >> [music] >> being in service, and just enjoying the ride.
