Video summary

The Tennessee Titans concluded their 2026 training camp with a final practice session against the Chicago Bears, marking the end of preseason preparations before the regular season begins. Head coach Mike Vrabel emphasized that while the first half of the game did not go perfectly as planned, the team's ability to step up and dominate in the second half was exactly what they had trained for throughout the summer. The defense was particularly praised for their aggressive performance against the quarterback and in the run game, leading to a convincing victory over the Bears with a final score of 24-9. This win served as a fitting capstone to the camp, showcasing the new identity and scheme implemented by the coaching staff under Coach Salah. For many players on the roster, this final preseason game was a critical opportunity to prove their worth and secure a spot on the final 53-man roster for the upcoming regular season against the New York Jets. The transcript highlights the journey of several key players, including rookie Anthony Hill Jr., who earned significant defensive reps with his production, and undrafted free agent Femiola Dejo, who made an impact despite missing time earlier in the camp. Another standout moment involved Joey Sly, whose perfect training camp culminated in a strong performance that kept him in contention for a roster spot. These final days were described as a test of character and resilience, where players had to earn their place daily rather than relying on past achievements. The narrative also focuses on Cody Bar, a second-round pick who expressed his excitement to establish himself as a fast and violent player capable of making an immediate impact for the team. Despite the competitive nature of the camp with many veterans present, Bar remained focused on proving that he was drafted correctly and could help bring wins back to Nashville. His determination resonated with the coaching staff, who acknowledged his hard work and potential. The atmosphere was charged with a sense of urgency and camaraderie as players pushed themselves to the limit, knowing that their futures in the league depended on their performance during these final 48 hours. As the camp wrapped up, the focus shifted to the cut-down days and the anticipation for the regular season, with players reflecting on their journeys and the rewards of their hard work. Undrafted free agent Bones shared his story of working tirelessly on practice squads for four years before finally earning a spot on the main roster, highlighting that nothing in this league is permanent and that every player must continue to hustle daily. The coaching staff praised the special teams value and pass rush improvement shown by players like Bones, assuring them they had an inside track if they maintained their intensity. Ultimately, the video concludes with a message of gratitude and encouragement, reminding everyone that while training camp has ended, the real work begins as both teams prepare for Week One against the Jets.

You're inside the house. >> Yes, sir. >> Let's make sure no one else comes in. >> Yes, sir. >> Cool. >> Absolutely. Absolutely. >> Appreciate you, brother. >> Congrats, man. >> Keep working. All right. >> It was a surprise for sure. I mean, we had a great room with a lot of great veterans. I mean, it was very competitive and you know, I caught myself just looking at the names and things and think, how am I going to make this? but just put your head down every day and kind of work and then end up here. They were taking a chance on me and from there I had to earn and show that I wanted to be here every day. So coming into this training camp I still have that mentality of, you know, last year is last year. I still have to earn it again just knowing how training camp goes and um I would say there was never really a clear moment. Just always I felt like I was in contention.
