THE BIG EXTENSION IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETE, COPING AND CATIO
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video documents the final stages of a major bungalow renovation project, focusing on the completion of a large extension and porch area. Although the homeowners have already moved into the property, preventing a full interior tour, the presenters highlight the significant progress made, noting that all rendering work is finished and looks fantastic. The team explains that they are there specifically to install the final piece of coping stone, which was previously missing, while also addressing some concrete work required to create a new step leading into what is now a hallway connecting the kitchen to the rest of the house.
A major highlight of the renovation is the impressive catio, described as an expensive patio featuring a PIR installation and a custom-built cage section with an additional shed attached at the end. The presenters express their delight with the finished product, noting that it smells wonderful, almost like sweets, despite one presenter suffering from hay fever. Beyond the structural improvements, the video emphasizes the positive professional relationships formed during the project, particularly with Colin, the window installer, who has become a good friend and secured future work for the team.
With the installation of the last coping stone and the settling of the new concrete, the presenters confirm that the big extension renovation is officially complete as of June. They acknowledge that while there are still some minor finishing touches to be done, such as installing pipes for an en-suite bathroom and addressing a soil pipe, the primary goal of moving the family into their newly renovated home has been achieved. The experience is described as highly successful, not only because of the physical transformation of the house but also due to the enjoyable interactions with the local tradespeople involved in the build.
The video concludes with a heartfelt thank you to the viewers for following their journey on one of their biggest projects yet. The presenters encourage new and existing subscribers to like, comment, and hit the notification bell to stay updated on future uploads, stating that all forms of support are greatly appreciated. They sign off by promising to discuss the porch details in a future video and invite everyone to join them for the next episode, marking the end of this specific chapter in their construction series.

knocking on the door.

big step in.
That's now um it's like a hallway, if
you like.
Used to walk straight through there. Now
you walk into the kitchen right around
there.
I won't put the camera on there cuz
they're in.
All right, let's get to the downstairs.

a little uh
a little quick look at the end.
The finished product

hay fever.

I'd say there's still plenty to do.
But in the main thing is they're in.
Which is what they wanted.

working here. Met a few good few good
lads. Well, there are a lot of good
lads.
Good contacts as well.
Colin the window man.
He's now a
good mate and um

all that settles, that coping
