Video summary

The seven-star Annihilape Tera Raid event is currently active, offering rewards such as Herba Mystica, ability capsules, and level-up candies for players looking to farm high-cost items or catch specific shiny variants like Mankey and Primeape. While the ideal partner Pokémon would be Hisuian Zoroark due to its unique typing, this option is not available in all regions without additional transfers. Consequently, the video presents a budget-friendly alternative using Wyrdeer from the base games, which can successfully solo the raid with careful setup. The recommended build for Wyrdeer involves Tera Psychic typing and holding a Shell Bell to maximize recovery moves, while its stats are maximized with 252 HP and Defense EVs under a Bold nature. Hyper-training all IVs is suggested to ensure optimal performance against this formidable opponent. The battle strategy relies heavily on managing the raid's mechanics from the very first turn, specifically dealing with Annihilape's Intimidate ability which boosts its attack when it switches in or out of combat. To counteract this, players should utilize an Intimidate user like Arcanine to drop Annihilape's Attack stat whenever possible, effectively neutralizing its primary threat after the initial exchange. The core loop involves using Skill Swap on turn one to remove Wyrdeer's Defiant ability from triggering attack boosts, followed by setting up Curse and Nasty Plot immediately thereafter. These moves stack defensive and offensive buffs that significantly increase Stored Power's damage output over time, allowing Wyrdeer to withstand heavy hits like Close Combat while dealing increasingly devastating blows. As the raid progresses, maintaining health is critical due to Annihilage's ability to land critical hits with its physical attacks. Players must monitor their HP closely and use Heal Pulse or a Healer partner like Alakazam whenever they feel threatened by being knocked out before setting up further boosts. A key strategic decision involves avoiding Terastallization until the very end of the battle; doing so early would expose Wyrdeer to its weakness against Rage Fist, potentially leading to an instant knockout. Instead, players should continue stacking Curses and Nasty Plots while relying on their growing defense drops from Annihilape's own attacks. Once the shield breaks or health is critically low, Terastallizing into a Psychic type can be used as a final measure to secure the victory without needing extra setup turns. In conclusion, this Wyrdeer build offers a viable and accessible solution for players who do not have access to Hisuian Zoroark but still wish to tackle one of the more challenging seven-star raids in Scarlet and Violet. The strategy requires patience and precise timing with moves like Curse and Nasty Plot to overcome Annihilape's aggressive playstyle, particularly its reliance on critical hits and stat boosts from switching mechanics. While the raid can be frustrating due to these unpredictable factors, following this guide allows players to safely dismantle the boss without needing specialized Pokémon that are hard to obtain. The video also notes alternative partners like Forretress or Alakazam for healing support, though Wyrdeer remains the recommended choice for a balanced approach between offense and defense in base game versions.

Hello everyone. Welcome to today's video. It's a little bit different than we'd normally do, but the seven-star Annihilape event is live and I'm bringing you a solo build. I haven't missed one I don't think since they started. So, we're going to continue it on. It is going to be a bit budget today because I'm recording on my phone, but hopefully it works out great. The Annihilape event is running from the 14th of August until the 20th. It will be accompanied by Maushold break events for Mankey and Primeape and Paldean and then we're going to have also Primeape and Annihilape outbreaks in Kitakami and they will have I think the ferocious mark is the the boosted rates for that no boosted shiny rates unfortunately. Um, I'm in Greece at the minute. So, here we go. Like I said, a little bit budget, but we've got a build that is available in the base games and I hope you find it useful. So, the build that we're featuring in today's video is going to be for Wyrdeer. It is available in the base games. This makes it such a good option for a lot of you out there. Hisuian Zoroark is the obvious one to bring into this raid, but not everyone has access to that. So, for Wyrdeer going to have a psychic Tera typing. Held item here going to be the Shell Bell. It is going to be level 100 and all of its IVs have been hyper trained. The move set here is going to be Skill Swap, Nasty Plot, Curse, and then Stored Power. And then the EV spread is going to be 252 EVs in HP and in defense with a bold nature. The ability here doesn't matter too much. We went with Armor Tail, but you can go with anything. We're going to be taking the defiant ability away with Skill Swap on the Annihilape anyway. So, whatever ability you've got on your Wyrdeer will do fine. So, it should look like this once it's trained up in game. As always, the build will be down in the description below so you can check it out after the video. So, when you first come into the raid against the seven-star Annihilape, there is going to be no turn zero. We're going to go straight into the raid. The one thing you're going look out for is an intimidate user on your side of the field. Now, we do have one, so that's great. That is Arcanine. Now, it is going to be kind of working against you this first turn because it is going to proc that defiant ability and give the Annihilape a attack boost. But, after turn one where we're going to skill swap, those drops anytime Arcanine does cycle in on the field, it is actually going to weaken the Annihilape, making it a lot easier in the long run. So, try and get an intimidate user. You can see how much close combat does that first turn. It's doing a lot of damage, right? But, anytime like we said, the Arcanine drops in and out of the field, it is going to help out a bunch, just weaken that, take it down to minus one. Now, turn two, going to lock in with a curse. It's going to boost our attack and our defense by one stage. It's going to power up stored power in the long run and make it it's easier for us to be able to take the attacks from this Annihilape and allow us to get set up in this early stage of the raid. Now, the shield is going to go up pretty early on in this raid on 90% of its HP remaining or the timer remaining, so we should see it go up this turn, and there it goes. So, the shield going to activate now on that Annihilape, but it is a pretty small shield. We can kind of ignore that and just carry on with our strategy here. So, we're going to lock in with another curse. If you are lower health at this stage, I would just say lock in with a heal cheer. You are going to have to heal cheer at some point. Just keep an eye on your HP and get that heal cheer off as soon as possible so you don't aren't in any way, shape, or form uh threatened by being knocked out by the Annihilape here. So, we're going to go for the heal cheer now. Hopefully, we get a good amount of recovery. It is random how much health you do get back, but we get very, very lucky here. Full HP bar. Hopefully, that happens for yourself. Alakazam is also a great partnering Pokémon just to keep you like healing up every turn with the grassy terrain. And now, we want to get that third curse off as well. This can be a very frustrating raid all in all because an I live is going to throw out primarily close combats against you. The rage fist isn't effective, so is lowering its defenses, but it can land critical hits which can scupper your day and and ruin your plan. If that happens, most of the time it's better just to reset the raid and come back in. So, there's a third curse. Now, we want to set up three nasty plots. That's going to boost our special attack by plus two every time you use it. We essentially want to get to plus six. Uh that's going to allow us to hit a lot harder and also just power up stored power. Remember, stored power is based off how many boosts you've got. Every boost that you get, it boosts the base power of that attack meaning that we hit a little bit harder. So, you can see the Alolan Raichu as well is cycling in and out of the field pretty consistently as we go through these next few turns. But, like I've said before, just keep an eye on your HP while you're getting this set up going. If there's any point where you are a little bit lower than you're comfortable with, just go for a heal chair, get yourself into a better position before you start firing off those stored powers. So, here is the third and final nasty plot. Another close combat coming out. The Alolan Raichu will be down to minus six on its defense stats now, so we should be hitting it for a decent amount of damage. A couple of stored powers should break the shield and then we should be able to start getting closer to closing this raid up. So, another close combat coming out. You can see we're tanking it pretty well here. Stored power coming out. It isn't going to be enough to break that shield. We get lucky with a critical hit. Probably will take two stored powers at this point, but the big thing here is the recovery that you get from the damage there. It's going to make sure that you're in a good place for that next stored power to kind of get the damage that you need for that recovery as well. So, we'll click with another stored power here and we don't want to crystallize just yet. You can see the damage that we're doing. Now, the triggers here are going to be 45% of the time remaining or 50% of its HP remaining, it will nullify uh uh drops on its side of the field, and it will nullify the boost that we've got on our side of the field at 30% of its HP remaining. So, we've lost all those boosts. So, what we want to do now, still don't trust Terastallize cuz we'll become extremely weak to Rage Fist and we'll probably get knocked out at this stage, is we want to go for another couple of Curses. And it feels a bit unnecessary, but cuz its HP is so low, right? But, this is just the way that we we kind of have to do this. We need to get the Annihilape going for those drops again, Alakazam cycling those Intimidates once again, and we set those Defense boosts up. We get another couple of Nasty Plots up, and then we can close the raid up from there. So, we'll get this first Curse under our belt. And the next Curse we'll get under our belt at turn the second Curse. And we should be able to take these close combats a lot better now. And we're just looking at these drops as well that the Annihilape's taking each and every turn. So, this kind of partnering Pokémon selection that we've got here is pretty perfect. So, Oblivious and an Intimidate user is pretty good just to be able to have that recovery through the grassy terrain. And then, once you've got that Skill Swap set, the Intimidate cycling in and out on the field. Now, two Curses should be enough there. We'll go for another Nasty Plot. Take another Close Combat. And then, at this stage with its HP being so low, we're probably in a good place where we can just Terastallize now and just hit that Stored because we'll be Terastallized boosted Stored Power even with the the small amount of boost that we do have. We should be able to take down this Annihilape with his defense drops that it's got. Of course, we can't Terastallize just yet. So, we need to just Stored Power at this point. If you can Terastallize, if you've used enough Stored Power to Terastallize, I would just lock it in at this stage. But, you should be fine to pick up the knockout from here with the Terastallization or not, but Oh, we'll we're not. So, one more stored power will be all that needed and we don't need to trastalize. So, if you can avoid trastalizing, of course, then you don't need to trastalize at all because it means that you're avoiding rage fist the entire battle. So, there we go, but that is basically how we're taking down an Annihilape with Farigiraf. It is available in the base game, of course, as well. So, you have that option to uh be able to utilize this and take down probably one of the harder seven-star raids that we've had in recent months. Um and of course, if this is the first time of catching an Annihilape, let me know what ball you're going to catch yours in. Don't have the greatest selection of Pokéballs for mine. I think I'm going to go with heavy ball just to kind of match it. But, I'd love to know what you've picked yours up in um and let me know. Moon ball, beast ball. Beast ball feels like the best one. I do have an alpha shiny Annihilape that I got in Legends: Arceus in a beast ball, so I don't feel too bad about picking this one up in a heavy ball. But, another might just mark Pokémon for the collection and Annihilape has got Remember that the high-cost items that you get from this raid as well. Going to get Herba Mystica as well as ability capsules and loads of level-up candies, ability patches, and things like that. So, it's a really good raid to farm, although this one feels a little bit more annoying than some of the recent ones that we've had. Right, well, there we have it, friends. I hope you found the build in today's video helpful. Please do consider dropping a like on the video. Do subscribe to the channel as well to stay up-to-date with all of our Pokémon content. We'll have more videos on things that have dropped this week next week when I'm back off holiday, but for now, I hope you have an easy time against the Annihilape. It isn't one of the easier raids that we've had recently and it can be pretty frustrating. You're going to contend with critical hits and just Annihilape being Annihilape, but I hope the Farigiraf build it help. Hisuian Zoroark is another alternative that I would definitely recommend if you've got access to it. A good option, but because not everyone has access to it, I didn't want to put it in today's video. Something available in the base games I feel like is going to be a safer bet. And Forretress does a decent job. It's just not quick and it's not the the most easy raid that you're going to have. But if you're going for any of the marked uh shinies of Primeape, Mankey from the event when it's running as well, I hope you have a lot of luck picking those up and enjoy the event when it's running. I don't know if this one's going to be one way you're going to be farming for those high cost items like some of the others, but I'm sure the following weeks events that we've got coming up in this summer series will have a lot easier time with those, but all in all again, apologies for the budgetness of this video. I only have my phone with me to record on my switch. So hopefully comes across okay and the sound quality isn't too bad being on my phone and things like that. So a little bit of a different video nonetheless and I hope you're all doing well and enjoy the event when it's running. Thanks so much for tuning in friends. I'll see you all in another video very soon.
