Video summary

Coco Styles presents a curated selection of five top luxury bags under $2,500 specifically tailored for women in their 40s who are looking to build or elevate their handbag collection. The video emphasizes that while the price point serves as a mid-range benchmark, the primary goal is to find high-quality pieces that offer excellent value and versatility. The first recommendation is a Roberto Cavalli bag, which the host praises for its discreet logo and neutral brownish-tan color that complements any wardrobe. She advises viewers that if this is their first luxury purchase, opting for a classic black version would be wise to maximize cost-per-wear, ensuring the bag can be worn frequently with various outfits rather than being limited by bold colors or patterns. The second featured item is the Totem Tea clutch, an affordable option priced around $99.90 that offers surprising versatility despite its elegant appearance. The host highlights a unique feature where the strap is hidden inside the bag when not in use, allowing it to function seamlessly as both a chic evening clutch and a practical handbag for daytime events like brunch. This bag represents a great entry point for those who want something stylish without breaking the bank, proving that one does not need to spend thousands to own a piece that fits into a modern lifestyle. Moving to mid-range options, the third suggestion is the small Soft Waters bag from Marni, which appeals to those who prefer minimalist designs with little branding. The host notes that while Marni is sometimes overshadowed by more famous brands, this specific bag features amazing leather quality and a simple aesthetic that allows for endless styling possibilities without feeling overly bold or logo-heavy. The final two recommendations focus on timeless classics that will never go out of style, reinforcing the idea that investing in enduring designs yields better long-term value. The fourth bag is the Louis Vuitton Alma BB, available in various materials including the classic Epi leather and standard canvas prints. The host strongly recommends the Epi version for its structured yet classic look, noting that while the monogram canvas has been around since her grandmother's time, the Epi texture offers a sophisticated alternative that remains relevant. The fifth and favorite recommendation is the YSL Sunset bag, which she clarifies is not cheap despite some misconceptions about the brand's pricing. She suggests this bag for women who prefer a simpler, classic style and encourages starting a collection with quality pieces from accessible luxury brands like Coach or Paul & Joe rather than feeling pressured to own only high-end names like Chanel or Hermes immediately. In conclusion, the video serves as a guide for shoppers who may be cautious about spending due to current economic conditions but still wish to maintain their love for fashion and accessories. The overarching message is that one should not feel excluded from luxury if they cannot afford the most expensive brands, as great quality from lesser-known or mid-range labels can achieve the same sophisticated look. Coco Styles urges viewers to focus on cost-per-wear and personal style needs rather than brand prestige alone, suggesting that a well-chosen bag with superior craftsmanship will last longer and provide more satisfaction than a trendy but poorly made item. She ends by inviting her audience to share their own favorite starter bags and favorite price ranges in the comments, fostering a community discussion on how to navigate the luxury market wisely while staying true to personal taste.

[Music] five top bags under $2,500 for women in their 40s welcome back to my channel guys it's your girl Coco Styles and on this channel we talk about beauty fashion lifestyle and styling so today I wanted to share five bags for women in their 40s who's looking to start a collection some of the bags are not even 2500 but I use that as a mid-range if you're looking to kind of elevate your collection all right so I'm going to jump right into the video and the first bag is from Roberto cavali people don't talk about Roberto cavali but as I was in high school we used to shop at centry 21 in New York City and all of the designer pieces were there and so were we it's like a pretty brown color they're calling it um so something that I feel like can go with anything in your wardrobe but looking at the photo it does look a little Peach but that happened to another bag that I purchased it is an actual like brownish tan color very very nice bag I haven't seen anyone in the bag the logo is very discreet It's Not Over the Top really really nice bag something like this I would say go for a color that you don't have yet if it's one of your first luxury handbags then I would recommend getting the black color anytime you're buying a new bag and you're spending a lot of money you want to get your cost per wear out of it so if this is not the color that's going to go with the majority of your wardrobe go for the color that will that way if you spend $12 $1,300 on a bag you wear that bag 13 times okay you felt like you got your cost per wear so that's the first bag the second bag is going to be the second bag is going to be a bag that I keep seeing around and I'm like I have a ton of clutches already but this is the totem te clutch bag absolutely love it now it does have a strap which I did not know so what I like about this bag is that since I didn't know it was a strap and there is one the strap is kind of like hidden when you open up the bag the way the strap is placed inside of the bag if you tuck it in you do not see it so essentially you can wear it as a clutch and you can wear it as a handbag if that makes sense absolutely love this bag this one is a lot more affordable it's $99.90 a good size I think it's practical for a clutch NE I wouldn't necessarily say this is like an evening bag per se but if you were going to brunch with the girls you can definitely wear this bag so this is the totan I think that's how you pronounce their name um their tea clutch bag all right the third bag is going to be from mberry now I hear a lot of the girls talk about mberry but it's kind of overshadowed by like the brands that we know well but they have a really nice bag called a small soft Bay Waters bag I so happen to really like this bag I'm a girl who likes bags that do not have a lot going on um that way I can wear it so many ways right if I'm stuck with a bunch of logos and stuff I may be limited on certain things if it's like too bold but this is a really nice bag their leather looks amazing love it okay if you don't want to spend a a ton of money you know I'm always going to say go for something that has great quality over the actual brand itself but I think this is Affordable it's mid-range and check it out guys all right so the last two bags are going to be like oldies but goodies to me and if you want to pull the trigger then these will be the bags for you so the first one is the this is from Louis Vuitton Louis Vuitton um this is their Alma BB bag they have it in BB and they have it in PM now I like the Epi version the Epi version to me is classic um so is the monogram one but but if you want to get the standard uh classic canvas you can get that as well but I really like this style of bag I think it's classy it's structured but the ep one is what I am going to really like say go for because to me it's classic and it would never go out of style I'm a BB in the Epi Is 2020 but if you got the PM version it's like 1960 so kind of figure out which one you would like to get but I still think this is a classic bag I love the style with so many bags coming out I would always recommend getting something that you know is going to be around for a long time for sure the Louis Vuitton regular canvas print the standard classic print has been around since my mama okay and before hers you know so choose the best bag that works for you and the one that you're going to get your most cost per wear so again that's a oldie but goodie we going to start off a new luxury handbag collection the last one is like my favorite I do not have this bag but it's still on my list this particular bag is under 25 um because it has the handle the other one with the chain is what is the one that I really want but this Sunset bag by YSL is really nice I love YSL I seen a guy do a video saying that YSL is cheap and I'm like it's not a cheap brand I like the leather of their stuff um it's very classic it's for the girls who want to keep it a little bit more on a simpler side I would say get something like this if you're looking to start a collection and you do not know where to start at and you don't know a price range I would say Brands like Pauline they also have really nice bags um coach still has really nice bags so buy the best quality for your budget if you want to start out a luxury handbag and don't get too caught up in the names because I think what happens is we see a lot of girls with like all types of chanels and Hermes bags and it's just like we some of us don't have that but we can still achieve the same look by getting something with great great quality so don't jump out the window if you don't have to but that's a quick video on the top bags that I think are great starter bag so wi in their 40s if you're looking to create a collection and start a collection in your 40s thank you guys for tuning into this video really short video I just wanted to share a few items with you favorite bag if I didn't mention it which bags do you recommend to be a good starter bag for someone starting out a collection to be quite honest what's a good price range everything is expensive okay like everything is expensive but women are still shopping and I just think I don't think we're ever going to stop shopping I think we may be a little bit cautious with what we're purchasing but we're
