Video summary
Sonali welcomes viewers back with an updated makeup routine designed specifically for those with very dry skin, emphasizing a foolproof method to achieve a flawless base without a cakey finish. She begins by highlighting the importance of proper hydration before applying any products, sharing her habit of using a niche French moisturizing cream and "slugging" under her makeup to ensure her skin stays plump. Throughout the tutorial, she discusses her recent shift toward a dewier complexion, moving away from the matte looks of the past while strategically keeping areas like the under-eyes matte for longevity. She also briefly touches on her personal life, including her upcoming wedding and her preference for balancing bridal content with everyday lifestyle vlogs to keep her channel diverse and engaging.
The core of the routine focuses on product selection and application techniques that prioritize blendability and glow. Sonali demonstrates how she applies foundation using brushes rather than sponges for a smoother initial layer, followed by contouring with a cool-toned stick specifically designed for nose sculpting. She showcases her favorite drugstore bronzer and liquid blushes, explaining how she layers cream products to maintain that fresh, hydrated look before setting only the T-zone and under-eyes with powder. Her approach includes using a beauty blender to seamlessly blend concealer up against the contour lines, which helps define the face while preventing the makeup from looking heavy or dry on her skin type.
To complete the look, Sonali shares her tips for finishing touches that ensure the makeup lasts all day without sacrificing comfort. She recommends tube mascaras for easy removal and praises a specific lip liner shade that complements her skin tone, noting the importance of sealing the entire face with setting sprays to lock everything in place. She admits to being a bit clumsy during filming but emphasizes the effectiveness of her final setting mist, which she prefers over other options because it feels like hairspray that keeps makeup firmly in place even when touching the face frequently. The video concludes with her encouraging viewers to keep their eye makeup simple for a fresh, awake appearance and inviting them to share their preferences on future video lengths and content styles.

Hey y'all, what's up? My name is Sonali.
Welcome to my channel if you guys are
new and welcome back if you guys are
subscribed. This video is long overdue.
I've been meaning to film an updated
makeup routine for you guys, but also
for me because sometimes when I'm
looking back at photos like in college
I'll be like, "Oh my god, my makeup
slayed that day. What did I use?" And
honestly, most of the time I'll have an
everyday as the years have gone by you
probably noticed I started doing a lot
more vlogs and just kind of
incorporating beauty, fashion, hair into
those instead of doing dedicated videos,
but I miss the old YouTube. I miss the
OG makeup gurus. So today I just felt
like it was the vibe to film a chatty
get ready with me. I am going to try to
keep the yapping to a minimum, but if I
do get chatty, I'm sorry. It's just It's
just how it's going to be. I'm going to
teach you guys how to get this foolproof
flawless base for your everyday makeup
and I'll make sure to link every single
product I use in the description box so
you can shop it super easily. So let's
get into the video. 90% of my products
look like this. One thing you should
know about me is that I have very, very
dry skin. So I will be moisturizing and
basically slugging under my makeup. I
can't remember where I saw this cream,
but it was very niche. I think it's like
a French cream. I honestly could not
even pronounce this, so I will have
everything linked under the description
box, but it is a TikTok that suggested
this, but I always like put way too
much. It literally happens every single
time. It has a slight scent to it, but
it's a very luxurious scent. If you
didn't know, I am getting married this
year. I feel like I've been a little
annoying with my bridal content, but
then everyone in my personal life is
like, "We love seeing your bridal
content. Please post more." and I'm
like, "I feel like I'm posting a ton of
stuff." and I just don't want to be that
creator that only talks about their
wedding I personally find that a little
bit crazy cuz then like after the
wedding, what do you have to talk about?
Like you just made that your whole
personality and then one day it's over.
So anyways, let me know if you have
anything specific that you want me to
share about the wedding. But, when I
went to Cabo for my makeup trial, my
makeup artist used this foundation and I
was like, "Oh my god, I literally wear
that every single day." And by the end
of the day, I'm like, if my makeup
looked like this at all and full
coverage enough, but also not cakey. So,
this
Should I go for like a lighter
foundation on my face?
I don't know. I'm pretty dark right now.
This is probably the darkest I've gotten
in
a couple of years. I've just been baking
out in the sun. I find that unscrewing
it just is a little bit more helpful cuz
the pump can get real messy real quick.
Majority of my makeup is done with
brushes. I do use beauty blenders to
like blend things out a little bit
further, but to
apply it initially, I love brushes.
Okay. I do foundation, then I do
contour, then usually I do blush or
concealer. Sometimes I switch it up. And
that just makes it kind of My current
favorite bronzer that's actually
drugstore is the Lumi Bronze light
stick. So, like kind of like depends on
the day, but I did want to show you guys
on my cheek.
And it's very buildable. So, sometimes
I'll like go over
just put a little more product if I'm
feeling like I really want to be
snatched and bronzed. This is also in
the color Sunset Doray. I think that's
how you pronounce it. A little under the
chin. And then for the nose contour,
we're going to be using something
different. This is a brand new product
from Patrick Ta. It's the Major Sculpt,
Shape, and Shade Anywhere Artistry Stick
in the color Shape. It's the most
perfect cool-toned contour stick. And I
feel like this is just made for nose
contour because of how slim it is. I'm
going to blend out the contour on the
nose first.
Blending it up into the brows. And it
can be somewhat messy because we are
going to clean it up with some
concealer. Honorable mention for my
favorite brush. This is the Dibs Duo
brush. I think it's like their first
ever brush cuz they have a couple now
that are dual-ended, but this is like
the face one and it's just perfect for
blending out bronzer especially on this
side.
And look how easy
and fast it's blending out.
Like that is just so perfect. I always
forget about my chin contour and there's
been a couple times where I've come this
close to walking out the door
with it unblended and Ryan's like, "Uh,
you got a little got a little something
under your chin." Lately I've been
really loving a dewy and fresh-looking
skin and I used to be so so matte. I
mean, I definitely keep the under eyes
matte and like areas where it needs to
be, but I've been using so many more
cream products and usually I would like
layer them cream and powder, but I just
feel like it takes away the dewiness.
So, I really try to keep all of that
glow and I'll show you how I do it.
Speaking of the glow, most of it comes
from my liquid blushes and I've been
obsessed with so many lately. So, I
limited myself to just show you guys two
and that was very hard decision. This
one is insane for that glow. It's the
About Face pigmented fluid blush in the
color In the Dust and then this one is a
little bit newer. The Pixi Beauty Liquid
Glow in the color Peony. I think I'll do
one on each side and then try to like
match it and blend it out just so you
guys can see that color.
You know what? Usually I don't put it
straight on my cheek. Oops, I already
messed up. I feel like whenever I'm
filming, I forget like my rules that I
set for myself.
But it really is super pigmented. I
mean,
like that is so beautiful especially for
my skin tone where you think a lighter
pink shade is not going to show up. That
is stunning and do you see
that line that it made? I mean, I did
put a lot of blush. That is why we put
on concealer later. Already you can tell
that it's a little bit more
of a deeper
shade. I think I would classify this as
a little bit more coral.
Like an orangey. It definitely suits me
better for an everyday color. I mean,
like with the bronzer, it just looks so
good. But when you want to stand out a
little bit more, the pink is gorgeous.
I'm afraid the blush is going to look a
little crazy, but we can try to tone it
down. For concealer, I've been loving
the Patrick Ta Major Skin Soft Blur
Brightening Concealer in the shade
Medium Neutral 2. I do like a brighter
under eye. So, I'm going to bring it
right against that nose contour.
And then under my eye. I used to blend
this out with a brush, but then I
recently switched over to a beauty
blender and I'm I'm loving it. So, we're
going to stick to that. And we're going
to blend it right up against that nose
contour to just really really sculpt it.
And then
under the eye.
And I don't really love to bring it all
the way to the corner of my eye. I'm
just going to blend
this out with the other side of the
beauty blender.
Look how seamless that looks.
So good. I'm just going to blend out the
eyelids with all that excess concealer
on. My eyelids crease very easily and
it's so annoying. Next, we're going to
set our face. Notice I didn't say bake
because we are trying to limit how much
powder I use, but sometimes I can get
really crazy with it. So, I'm just
really going to set the under eyes.
I take it on a powder puff and then put
it on the back of my hand so there's not
like any powder clumps. And then I go
right under my eye.
And my eyelid. I really try to just put
it right here and not like all the way
on this triangle.
Then I do it right around my mouth. And
then my forehead because that doesn't
need to be dewy. Oh, and my chin a
little bit. Basically, the T-zone. Then
I'm just going to wipe it away.
That powder just gives the most perfect
blur under the eyes. Going to fill in my
brows really quick with the NYX Micro
Brow Pencil.
I don't know, you guys, the brows look a
little crazy today. I've talked about it
many times before on my TikTok and
Instagram, but I've gotten a Korean lash
lift twice now, and I think they are the
best
beauty treatment that you can get. Like,
it will literally make you feel so
confident on the daily. It's even better
when you put on mascara because they
just stick straight up. I finally tried
tubing mascara after all these years of
being a hater without even trying it. I
don't know why I did that. I've been
using the Maybelline Sky Tubes Lash
Sensational. It is a great mascara, but
the best part about it is that it
literally just comes off in tubes when
you wet it. Taking off my makeup is less
of a chore now because taking off the
mascara alone was the worst part because
my lashes are so long. I have to look
all the way down, otherwise it gets all
over my eyelid, which happens often, and
it stays like that all day. I have to be
honest with you, I'm a little bit of a
lip liner hoarder, so I have like 100
plus lip liners, and they're definitely
all the same color range, but I've been
really liking this one from Teneille
Jay. I think that's how you pronounce
her name. She's an Australian makeup
artist, and it is one of the most
perfect brown lip liner shades. This is
in the color caramel fudge. It looks
like it's just like shadowed perfectly.
The one thing I'll say is that this cap
does not fit. So, if you're putting this
in your purse, this cap will fall off,
and it annoys the out of me. For
gloss, I love this YSL gloss. I don't
even know the color. I think maybe 03.
It is a plumping gloss, and my friend
gave this to us for our bridesmaids
gifts on the day of her wedding and I
thought that was so special cuz it
literally has my name engraved. So, if
you guys need ideas, I literally use
this on the daily. I'm still on the
search for the perfect lip combo for my
wedding day. I feel like this is a
little bit too dark. I kind of want to
go a little bit of a lighter pinky, but
this could be a contender for maybe one
of the more glam nights. We are not
done. We're going to set our face first
with the One Size powder melts. I really
don't feel like my makeup looks cakey
these days, but I do love to like set it
and make it a little bit more dewy. Just
make sure you hold it like further away
from your face so you don't get
drenched.
Sometimes I have to stop myself cuz I
can go crazy with the setting spray. It
truly just melts everything together. If
you have not tried that out, definitely
recommend. The last step is arguably the
most important step. This is the L'Oreal
Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist. A lot
of people say that this is a dupe for
the original One Size setting spray. I
forgot the name of it, but honestly I
kind of like this one a little bit
better cuz it feels so much stronger. It
feels like you're spraying hairspray on
your face, which honestly isn't a great
feeling, but you know your makeup is not
going to go anywhere. It will get in
your hair and your hair will feel weird.
So, I have to like hide my hairline from
it.
Oh.
I think I sprayed straight my hair. I
really try to focus it on my cheeks and
my chin cuz I feel like that's where I'm
touching the most throughout the day.
Luckily today I didn't forget to do this
step, but usually I'll just like spray
it on right after I did my mascara and
that is not a good look. So, just be
aware. Make sure your mascara is
completely dry or you can do that step
before you do your eyes. That completes
my everyday makeup. This is my foolproof
way to get the most flawless base and
makeup that will last you all day. I
used to put on eyeshadow every single
day, but honestly I just like to keep it
simple and I feel like it looks a lot
more fresh. I look more awake. I don't
know if you can see it on the camera,
but there is still that glow from the
blush, but my under eyes still look
flawless and matte. I honestly don't
remember the last time I filmed a makeup
tutorial, so I really hope you guys
enjoyed this video. I really tried to
keep the yapping to a minimum. But, let
me know if you guys like the more chatty
videos or if you like to see a video
