Video summary
The video centers on Dr. Sherman from Site 42 and his reluctant acceptance of a bizarre challenge involving a specific donation goal for the SCP Academy Kickstarter campaign. The premise is that if a single donor contributes $1,000 after a certain date, Dr. Sherman must perform a cheap, weird version of an SCP-106 cosplay for a live stream while being completely covered in barbecue sauce. This condition stems from the internet joke that SCP-106 is known as the "barbecue sauce man," though Dr. Sherman clarifies he will use actual sauce rather than acid to avoid self-harm. He expresses deep frustration and dread over this potential scenario, joking that if the Kickstarter succeeds and forces him into this situation, everyone involved will suffer, including his dignity and his hair, which will inevitably get covered in sauce despite wearing a wig.
To prepare for this hypothetical event, Dr. Sherman outlines the absurd logistical nightmare he would face, detailing plans to set up a ring light in his dormitory bathroom, sit on a wet chair in the shower, and wear a leather vest and curly-haired wig while drenched in condiments. He calculates that covering his entire body would require approximately thirteen bottles of barbecue sauce, which would inevitably stain his walls and leave his apartment smelling like BBQ for weeks. He even considers trying a stout beer shampoo to mask the scent, though he notes he has never tried such a thing before. The segment highlights his internal monologue where he debates whether to take this challenge seriously or simply refuse, ultimately concluding that if the community wants him to do it, they must ensure the Kickstarter is funded first, as no donation means no obligation.
The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Dr. Sherman receives a notification of a $1,500 pledge to the project, far exceeding the initial threshold he feared. This generous donation comes from an anonymous supporter who has become a connoisseur of indie SCP films and wants to help the team get off the ground. Despite the relief that the money is there for the film, Dr. Sherman remains mentally assaulted by the implication that he might have to fulfill his promise. He questions whether the chat or his own moderator, Desk, tricked him into agreeing to this ordeal in a moment of delirium, joking about terrible things happening to all of them. The video ends with him screaming at the camera, questioning what exactly he promised and assuming the worst about the intentions of everyone involved, leaving the audience to wonder if the barbecue sauce stream will actually happen or if it was just another layer of chaotic humor in the SCP community.

What was the barbecue sauce goal? I hate
you all.
My staff is the most unprofessional
staff in the entire SCP Foundation. If
after the date that I made the offer or
was volun-told I would make the offer of
someone donating an entire $1,000
donation in one go, then I would have to
do a cheap, weird version of the SCP 106
cosplay for a stream. In which case, I
would need to go find a curly hair wig.
I would need to get a leather vest. I'd
have to figure out a pants situation cuz
106 doesn't seem to wear pants, so
that's very disturbing. We're not We're
not doing that kind of stream, but I
would have to be absolutely slathered in
barbecue sauce cuz that's the joke that
SCP 106 is the barbecue sauce man. I
know it's acid, but I'm not going to
slather myself in acid. So, it would
have to be barbecue sauce. But, someone
needs to donate a whole $1,000 donation
to the film, and it needs to be proven
to be after the date that we made the
offer, and the stream would have to be
after the Kickstarter succeeded. Because
if the Kickstarter doesn't succeed, then
no donation happened. So, and it would
also take me that time to get a space
with which to do a barbecue sauce
stream. $1,000 is just too much. I don't
want to be covered in barbecue sauce for
a stream. So, yeah. If that's what you
want, that's what you need to do. I'm
not making this easy for you. I hate
this. I swear if this kicks
if this Kickstarter succeeds and I have
to [ __ ] do this, we're all going to
suffer. Cuz I know what I'm going to do
now. I'm figuring it out in my head
because you're making me figure it out.
I'm going to have to
take this ring light that I use for
lighting in the booth, and I'm going to
have to bring that to my bathroom of the
dormitory, and I'm going to have to set
it up and use that to hold the camera,
and I'm going to have to sit in the
shower with a chair that I can get wet,
and I'm going to have to put on the 106
costume. And I'm just going to have to
slather myself in barbecue sauce
while you guys watch. And I'm probably
going to get banned for doing fetish
content. Instead of the femur breaker,
we could slather Dr. Sherman in barbecue
sauce and it'd be the same amount of
organized screams. Trust.
Agonized screams.
Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. And I just
want it known in no way
can you blame me
and call this my fetish for being
covered in barbecue sauce cuz IT WASN'T
MY IDEA.
YOU GOT TO BLAME WHOEVER IT WAS who had
the idea. Just remember, there will
always be barbecues in your hair. Days,
months, years, decades. There will
always be barbecue in your hair. Your
barber will be hella questionable. You
know what? Technically speaking,
my hair's going to be under a wig.
So, my hair will be somewhat safe. I've
never been so so crestfallen to see a
Discord notification. I'm going to cover
the IRL name of this person. Your $1,500
pledge brings this project one step
closer to becoming a reality. All right,
site 42 staff.
It's on the table. And reminder, the
Kickstarter needs to be funded for it to
be official because if the Kickstarter
doesn't go through,
then no one has to pay their money. And
that means that this donation didn't
happen. So, you guys
have
to double your efforts. Triple your
efforts. Mobile Task Force I-42, you
better share. You better like,
subscribe. Every social media post
posted about this Kickstarter, you
better like it and share it and comment
on it.
You better spread this thing everywhere.
Whether I post it, whether someone else
posts it. You better be boosting Dark
Math Films
to kingdom come and back. Because if you
want me to do the SCP 106
barbecue sauce stream, I can't believe
this is a real thing I have to say, then
that Kickstarter needs to get funded. If
that Kickstarter is funded, we're there.
I guess now what's more important to
you? The live-action SCP film
or me doing a covered IN BARBECUE SAUCE
106 STREAM?
I'm going to have to
go to Spirit Halloween
to get the wig and the vest and whatever
else I need to not be a loot on Maine. I
have 2 weeks to do my best as the
Foundation Fitness Initiative now.
Because if I'm doing this shirtless vest
stream
I need to try and get a I need to try
and get a little less uh dad bod before
that happens. Just for my own pride. My
shower's going to smell like barbecue
sauce for weeks.
It's going to be in my hair.
You know, I had a great I had a great
shampoo one time from the brand Lush,
not sponsored
but it was a stout beer shampoo that
smelled delicious and it smelled like
stout and it was a great shampoo, made
my hair hair feel luxurious and they
discontinued it which makes me sad. But
I haven't done a barbecue sauce shampoo
before, so we're just going to have to
find out what that's like. All right,
you [ __ ]
get your ass in my chat right now. You
need to witness
this [ __ ] I don't care if your
stream starts soon.
You owe me a visit.
Me and all these little shits in my
chat. You see how much I respect your
contributions
to the community.
Remember Site-42 staff, Site-42
has over a million subscribers on
YouTube. All it would take is 30,000 of
you
to donate $1, and that would be all.
Then it would be funded.
So, you don't have to go big. If
everyone donates a dollar, we're done.
2.7% of my fandom needs to donate a
single dollar to make this happen. Of
course, then I would have to do this
barbecue sauce stream. And so, maybe
don't do that. Yeah, no. You have to
donate a thousand hundred thousand
dollars. That's all. If you can't donate
that much, don't donate at all. That
would be There You're not committed
enough. No.
I need to do the math of how much
barbecue sauce it's going to take to
cover my body in barbecue sauce.
How much does a bottle cover?
How many bottles do I need? I feel like
it might be two bottles per limb, two
bottles for the front of the torso, two
bottles for the back of the torso, and
the head might get a bottle. So, I feel
like that's 8 10 12 13 bottles of
barbecue sauce. 13 bottles of sauce, you
take one down, squeeze it around, 12
bottles of sauce on the wall. Remember
how this stream started with a figure
that's continuously punished as a SIGN
OF LOVE? MAMORI, YOU CAN'T MAKE BARBECUE
SAUCE STREAM THEMATICALLY RELEVANT. YOU
CAN'T DO THIS TO ME.
DARK Math
Films. You may have noticed that just
recently
during my stream here, someone donated a
very generous donation
to your Kickstarter for SCP Academy
episode 2, the live-action SCP series,
episode 1 of which is free to watch on
YouTube, and episode 2 is currently on
Kickstarter.
You might have noticed an extremely
generous donation was just tossed TO
YOU.
15 HUNDRED DOLLARS IN ONE GO.
OH.
I wonder wonder wonder
why someone would be so generous to
donate to Dark Math as Kickstarter.
$1,500 in one go. Perhaps they are just
connoisseurs of SCP film. Perhaps they
are lovers of indie film and want to
help an indie team with some good grit
get their feet off the ground. Or maybe
it's because Dr. Sherman from Site 42
is being mentally assaulted by his chat
in communication with his OWN TRAITOROUS
MODERATOR. HIS OWN ET TU, BRUTESQUE.
[screaming]
DR. SHERMAN, WHAT DID YOU PROMISE to do?
I didn't promise anything. It was Desk
who volunteered me and in my delirium
and thoughts THAT THIS COULD NEVER
HAPPEN, I SAID, "OH, SURE. I'll go
through with that." thing that'll never
happen. Desk, am I to assume you also
told Synth to clip this
and to make a video of it. Am I to
assume that's going to happen?
I mean, today was the donut video day.
I'm assuming terrible things of all of
you.
