The #1 Subconscious Belief That's Keeping You From Everything You Want | Dr. Bradley Nelson
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
Dr. Bradley Nelson, the creator of the Emotion Code, posits that the vast majority of physical pain originates not from purely physical causes but from emotional baggage trapped within the body. He asserts that approximately 90% to 93% of people unknowingly carry a "heart wall," an energetic barrier constructed by the subconscious mind to protect the heart from perceived emotional trauma. This internal holographic computer, which manages trillions of cellular functions and chemical reactions, stores these emotions as specific frequencies of energy; when suppressed or overwhelmed, they distort the body's energy field, interfering with blood flow, lymphatic movement, and overall health. Consequently, feelings of unworthiness often become the primary subconscious barrier preventing individuals from achieving success, love, and abundance, effectively creating a callous over the heart that blocks access to inspiration and joy.
The mechanism behind these trapped emotions is illustrated through various case studies where releasing specific emotional energies instantly resolved chronic physical ailments. For instance, a man suffering from severe low back pain for two decades found his condition eliminated immediately after addressing the anger stemming from being wrongly accused of embezzlement, while another woman experienced the sudden disappearance of her chronic neck pain and subsequent reunion with her childhood sweetheart after clearing emotional layers related to a past breakup. Nelson also highlights the profound connection between the heart and the mind, noting that the heart contains its own brain with precognitive abilities, evidenced by anecdotes of heart transplants transferring memories or even leading to criminal arrests through the transfer of guilt-related nightmares in children. These examples demonstrate how the subconscious mind processes experiences—whether from environmental conditioning, ancestral inheritance, or personal trauma—and how clearing these specific energies restores high-vibration states of peace.
To address these imbalances, Nelson utilizes a system of three distinct codes: the Emotion Code for trapped emotions like grief or sorrow, the Body Code for physical trauma energies stored from accidents, and the Belief Code for limiting subconscious beliefs and heart walls. While individuals can release trapped emotions themselves using these methods, Nelson emphasizes that recognizing these energetic barriers is crucial for healing physical ailments and improving relationships. He argues that the conscious mind represents only a negligible fraction of total intelligence compared to the vastly more powerful subconscious, which operates on faith and divine principles. Therefore, the most effective path to unlocking one's potential involves believing in a higher power's unlimited love, as this belief is essential for accessing the unique, perfect blueprint of life inherent within each person's heart.
Ultimately, Nelson concludes that the most important task in life is to learn unconditional love, defining greatness as the manifestation of this divine blueprint rather than mere material achievement. He presents three final truths to guide individuals toward their intended selves: God is real and loving, we are merely strangers passing through this world, and our primary purpose is to embody unconditional love. By releasing trapped emotions and dissolving heart walls, individuals can alleviate physical pain, restore emotional balance, and live as their true selves without the burden of suppressed feelings or limiting beliefs. This holistic approach applies not only to humans but also to animals and can be performed remotely, offering a pathway to heal the deep-seated emotional roots that dictate our physical reality and life experiences.

90% of all the physical pain that people
have is due [music] to emotional
baggage. Really?
>> Yes. What I have found over 38 years of
doing [music] this is that this
emotional baggage is the single biggest
common denominator for all of the
physical and mental and emotional
difficulties that [music] we experience.
Emotional baggage is in my experience
the by far the biggest underlying cause
of things like depression and anxiety
and phobias and panic attacks and PTSD.
He's a best-selling author and [music]
the creator of the emotion code. He's
the founder and CEO of Discover Healing.
Please welcome Dr. Bradley Nelson.
>> 93% of people have a heart [music] wall
and don't know it. And so it's it's the
majority of people. It's how most people
are living. And what's interesting is
when people get rid of that emotional
baggage [music] and especially when that
heart wall when that gets taken down,
people often fall in love who never
[music] thought they would. And
>> what does a heart wall actually mean?
>> Well,
What is the number one negative
subconscious belief that most people
have that holds them back from reaching
their fullest potential?
>> I would say that uh when it comes to
belief, probably the thing that we see
the most is feelings of of unworthiness,
right? Undeserving.
>> I don't deserve to have that. I I don't
deserve to have success. I don't deserve
to have money. I don't deserve to have
love. I'm not good enough. Right?
>> Why do so many people believe that
they're not worthy of success, love,
abundance, freedom, peace, or all of the
joy that life has available for them? Is
this conditioned from their environment?
Is it from their ancestors passed down
on this belief system? Is it just the
language they hear from their parents
and their peers? Is this the news they
watch? Is it a combination of all of it?
But where does this all come from? I
would say really it's it's all of the
above. Um I know that for example in my
own case uh my ancestors on my father's
side were from Ireland. They were very
poor and a lot of those beliefs you know
came down through the line to me and I
had to uh I had to work on a lot of
that. You know we all inherit emotional
energies. Not only do we develop
emotional baggage from the things we do
in our own lives, the things that happen
to us, the things that we do, the makes
the mistakes that we make, but uh we're
also handed a certain amount of
emotional baggage at conception from our
ancestors and the things that they went
through. And so that's one of the really
exciting parts of the work that we do is
that we teach people how they can
identify that emotional baggage. And it
may be that the reason now where they
why they're feeling unworthy or why they
they're having a hard time with love.
Well, maybe it's because uh you know
their eighth great grandmother was
jilted at the altar and that emotional
energy was so powerful that's been
passing down the line like a freight
train or maybe um some other ancestor
was thrown into the poor house. And so
they may have difficulties with money
because of these deep deep feelings,
these energies that they're not even
aware of. [clears throat]
>> And yet they're directing or really
misdirecting their lives.
>> Yeah. I mean, you've done how many
sessions now and work with people from
the practice that you've done?
>> Thousands. I mean, yeah, we've certified
over 17,000 practitioners. Well, almost
17,000, I think, right now, uh, in about
108 countries or so. trained them in the
emotion code and body code.
>> But you've done thousands or tens of
thousands of your own sessions working
with people
>> right
>> from, you know, previously as a
chiropractor, right? And then into more
energy work and understanding people's
energies and emotions. And what I'm
hearing you say is, is it a sense of
worthiness or a lack of worthiness and
deservingness that is kind of one of the
main things you read on people or sense
or feel with people?
>> Let's talk about energy. uh Albert
Einstein said the medicine of the future
will be the medicine of frequencies and
Nicola Tesla said if you want to
understand the secrets of the universe
think in terms of energy frequency and
vibration right and these very smart
guys understood you know the nature of
reality and so if you were to magnify
your hand for example under a big
microscope if you if you kept zooming in
past the level of the cell and past the
level of the molecule to the level of
the atom,
you'd understand suddenly that uh uh
there's really nothing solid there.
Albert Einstein himself said that there
is no matter as such. Matter is just
frequency. Energy that's been slowed
down in its frequency enough that we,
you know, can see it and touch it and so
on. And so that's what our bodies are.
Well, everything really is energy,
including thought is energy. Emotions
are energy. So what we believe is that
every emotion has its own specific
frequency of vibration. So if you're
feeling an emotion of anger and you're
really angry, well, your body is
feeling a different frequency. It's
vibrating at a different frequency than
it was a minute ago when you weren't
feeling that emotion. Or if you're
feeling an emotion of grief, that's a
different frequency than anger. And
they're all different. But what happens
is normally when we feel an emotion, of
course, it's always in response to some
kind of a stimulus. you know, we've seen
something or thought something or
someone said something to us or
whatever. Normally what happens is that
emotion begins to well up. We begin to
feel a specific emotion, a certain
feeling and we normally allow that
emotional feeling to kind of we
acknowledge it and we just kind of allow
it to dissipate and go away. And this is
the normal way we deal with emotions. It
happens to all of us every single day,
multiple times a day. But sometimes
we deal with it differently. Sometimes
an emotion comes up and maybe you don't
want to go there and so you bury that
emotion, right? Maybe you learn that
that specific emotion is a bad emotion.
You don't want to feel it and so it
comes up and you bury it. That will
result in that emotional energy being
unexpressed in the body. So it's a
trapped emotion is what we call it. Now
you can also develop a trapped emotion.
um if an emotion comes up for you and
you decide that you're justified in
taking that emotion and in blowing it up
to the nth degree and those are the
situations where usually afterward
you're saying to yourself, "Boy, I
really got to get a handle on myself.
You know, I really blew up there. That
was kind of embarrassing." We do that,
too. That will result in emotional
baggage or these trapped emotions. Uh or
sometimes things happen that are just
overwhelming. You know, suddenly your
spouse asks you for a divorce out of
nowhere or maybe suddenly you get a
phone call that someone is injured or
died or you know, terrible things happen
and those emotions are overwhelming and
they can also develop into emotional
baggage, emotional energy. So what
happens to us is that um we all have
these emotional energies that inhabit
our bodies and they they misdirect our
lives. is they interfere with our
ability to really create um the lives
that we're capable of of creating.
>> Right?
>> What happens in the body then when we
hold on to emotions rather than
expressing them in a healthy way?
>> Well, what I have found over 38 years of
doing this is that this emotional
baggage is the single biggest common
denominator for all of the physical and
mental and emotional difficulties that
we experience. So, for example,
emotional baggage is in my experience
the by far the biggest underlying cause
of things like depression and anxiety
and phobias and panic attacks and PTSD
and eating disorders and self-sabotage.
>> 90% of all the physical pain that people
have is due to emotional baggage.
Really?
>> Yes.
>> Wow. Unless it's like a car accident or
a physical trauma that's happening.
>> Yeah. Well,
>> you think that's tied to emotional pain
too or emotional baggage?
>> The fascinating thing that I found when
I was in practice and I worked with a
lot of athletes, uh, but lots of other
people coming in with all kinds of
different, you know, problems with
physical pain. Let me share a story with
you. This guy came into my office one
day and he's, uh, he's really got severe
low back pain, right? It's a like a
nine, nine, nine and a half, bumping
around 10 with his low back. and he's
talking about surgeries, his next stop,
and it's been going on for a while. And
using the emotion code, I tested him and
found he had a trapped emotion. The
emotion was anger. And uh I needed to
know a little bit more about this.
That's one of the questions we ask of
the subconscious mind. Do we need to
know more about this? I got a yes
answer. And did a little more testing
and found that this had started 20 years
before. And he immediately remembered.
And he said, 'Yeah. I said, I know
exactly what that is. And I said,
"Really?" He said he was working for
this company and he was wrongly accused
of cooking the books basically, you
know, or embezzling. And he was
completely innocent. And so he was
there's no fury quite like that of being
wrongly accused. And you know that
you're not guilty. And so he was so mad
about that. That emotion was so powerful
his body couldn't really process it.
That energy became trapped in his body
in his low back 20 years later. You see,
when you have a trapped emotion, what we
believe is that it's a little ball of
energy. They're invisible, but they're
about so big, about the size of a
baseball or a softball. And what they
do, wherever they lodge in the body, and
they can lodge anywhere, they will
distort the normal energy field of the
body. And so,
>> all of the energy in the body.
>> Exactly. The energy flow through the
meridian systems interfered with because
the body itself is just a very complex
energy field. When you interfere with
that and when you distort that energy
field, you're interfering to some degree
with chemical reactions going on in that
area with maybe blood flow, lymph flow
to some degree. When I release that
trapped emotion,
the pain level went from 9 and a half to
zero instantly. Right? And this guy's
he's he's walking around in my office
and he's bending over and he's twisting
this way and that way and he's saying,
"Where did it go?" Because it was
completely gone. Now, why' that happen?
Well, when we release that energy,
suddenly that distorting force is gone.
But now, think about this. This guy a
couple days later came back into the
office. And he said, you know, he said,
"My back pain is still gone." He said,
"I still can't quite believe it." But he
said, "When I came in here, I had
another problem I didn't tell you
about." He said, "For as long as I can
remember, I've basically been what you'd
call a raholic." He said, "I'm I've
really just been a live wire." And he
said, "I, you know, I'm always getting
in arguments with my wife and I'm, you
know, I have to watch the road rage.
I've had to go to anger management a
couple of times. Hasn't really helped
me."
>> But he said, "Since you release that
trapped emotion of anger from me from
that thing that happened 20 years ago,"
he said,
>> "I feel really different." He said, "I
just feel kind of calm and kind of
peaceful." And he said, "Things that
used to set me off instantly don't set
me off anymore." He said, "How did you
do that?" And I said,
>> "I don't know." [laughter]
cuz I didn't know but
>> at the time we didn't know. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
>> But here's what we believe.
>> You also you also eliminate the pain.
You're going to feel a lot more joy too.
You're going to be less angry if you're
like painfree.
>> True. But what it what what we believe
is that in that guy's life, think about
this. He had this ball of anger, you
know, this literally this ball of
frequency that if you could stick a
probe into it and measure the emotion,
it would go right to anger, right?
>> He had that ball of energy in his low
back all those years. So when a
situation would come along in his life,
if somebody cuts him off in traffic,
>> instant reaction, right?
>> Instant because part of his body is
already vibrating at that frequency.
>> Gosh, I could I I know that feeling. I
had that for many years where it was
like an instant response. It was like
stimulus anger.
>> Sure.
>> Reaction as opposed to response
>> from like a neutral place.
>> Exactly. And that's where he moved to.
>> And it's not unusual when those
emotional energies are released.
Uh it's, you know, people often say that
when they get rid of enough of their
emotional baggage that it's like
stepping out of this old suit they've
been walking around in into this totally
different state of being that is really
who they were intended to be, you know,
when they when they first arrived here.
>> Yeah. Loving, joyful, peaceful.
>> Exactly. High vibrations.
>> Exactly.
>> Um what's the st what's the strongest
daily practice to make sure that we are
dealing or navigating our emotions as
they come and go?
Well, it's important, I think, to
realize that we have a choice, right?
Most people, I think, kind of just
automatically assume that they're at the
mercy of their emotions that if some
emotion comes up, in fact, people say
funny things. They'll say things like,
you know, he made me so angry or, you
know, gosh,
>> and of course, nobody can make you feel
anything.
>> What happens when someone says, "The
government makes me angry. My wife, my
husband make me angry. They my ex did
this to me. It makes me angry still
today. What is someone saying when
they're saying someone else made them
angry right now?
>> Yeah. Well, of course, what they're
saying is that that's what they have
chosen, right? Uh we we're always
choosing our own emotions. Now, of
course, there are situations where
overwhelming things happen and you don't
have much control. But the rest of the
time it is possible to choose an emotion
other than the one that is just
naturally coming up for you. And if
emotions naturally come up for you in
situations
uh that um that maybe aren't really
completely,
you know, what you'd want to have
happen. It's probably because there is
emotional baggage that you have,
emotional energy. What we find is that
the average person has about 300 or so,
if you're an adult and you've lived
life, the average person has about 300
or so of these emotional energies, these
trapped emotions in their body. And you
know, when I was in practice, I was just
trying to help my patients get well. But
see, I had been a computer programmer uh
starting in the early 1980s. I had a
business way back then called the
computer tutor. and I'd go into people's
offices that would have a new IBM PC.
There was no software in the early days
and I would write the software and that
taught me a lot about logic and so on.
And so when I became a doctor, it
gradually began to dawn on me that um
based on some work that other people had
done that there is really a computer
within each one of us and that computer
uh knows with a perfect understanding
exactly what we need. It remembers
everything. It's like an archiving
holographic computer that is within each
one of us that um remembers every face
you've ever seen in a crowd, everything
you've ever eaten or tasted or touched
or smelled, you know, every um every
emotional experience you've had. Uh it
knows all about your trapped emotions.
It knows everything. So, I began to
realize that this subconscious mind is
really a computer and it's capable of
being queried. we can ask questions and
we can get answers out of it because
it's a binary computer at least in terms
of its interface. In other words, um in
other words, if someone holds out their
arm, for example, um if I were to say,
"My name is Brad." If you were to press
down on my arm, I could resist you. I'd
be strong because that's a true
congruent statement. And that's my
internal computer agreeing.
But if I were to say something like, "My
name is Bob," which is untrue, then I
would weaken. and that's the internal
computer. And so what I've been able to
do is take that basic interface
knowledge and develop it to um a higher
degree I think than anybody else has
been able to do because now
>> with this work we've been able to really
open up uh this uh open up the
subconscious mind like a book really and
find out exactly
um you know what the problems are and
that's that's how it worked when I was
in practice and it worked so well that
the last 10 years that I was in
practice. Most of the people that I saw
been told there was no help for them at
all in western medicine and yet they
were able to get better.
>> So do you feel like most pain is caused
by trapped emotions?
Most pain in the body.
>> That's my experience. About 90% of
people's physical pain is from emotional
baggage. Now it's not 100%. It really is
an amazing thing. And I that's what I
found when I was in practice because of
course as a chiropractor I had all kinds
of people coming in to see me for
physical pain very common. And uh what I
found because I had learned how to
communicate with their own internal
computer uh when I would ask you know is
there an underlying reason why you're
having this pain the majority of the
time it was emotional. How many years in
your practice did you realize that you
can't necessarily heal matter with
matter? Like you can't just treat the
body by itself without also treating the
emotions.
>> Yeah. Interesting. You know, it was it
was really kind of a gradual process. I
was uh I kind of have an obsessive
nature a little bit and I was obsessed
when I was in practice with helping my
patients and getting to the underlying
causes. I wanted to know,
>> you know, why why is this person in
pain? Why is this thing this problem not
getting better? What's going on? What is
really happening? So, that was kind of
the the driving force for me. And as so,
as time went on, uh I was learning
everything that I could from every place
that I could, from ancient sources,
modern sources, you know, going to
seminars, learning from other doctors,
anything I could learn. And I also had a
habit of asking for help from up above.
And uh it was really actually a very
powerful answer to prayer that got me
into the healing arts in the first
place. Yes. And so I had this habit of
um it was a totally private, totally
personal habit. But when a patient would
come in to see me before I would go to
work on them, I would just offer this
silent prayer and ask for help. And I'll
tell you something. There were times
when a patient would come in and I I
wouldn't know how to take care of them
or approach their problem. And in
response to that little ask, information
would flood in.
>> Wow.
>> Just like an avalanche.
>> For you want to hear one of them? Sure.
>> Let me tell you one.
>> One day this guy comes in to see me.
He's 42 years old. He tells me that four
years before he was in a car accident.
He was sitting at a light in his car,
stopped, and another car hit him at a
high rate of speed from behind and he
got whiplash, a lot of damage to his car
and everything else. But he said that
his neck never stopped hurting
>> for four years.
>> For four years. And he said he'd seen
two doctors during that time. But he
said that his neck right then at that
moment was about a nine on a 0 to10
scale. Really hurting. And he said it
still feels like the day after the
accident. And I thought, well, that's
kind of weird, right?
>> So, I said this silent prayer and I
said, "Okay, Father in heaven, this
seems kind of strange to me. If there's
something I need to know about this,
help me to understand this because this
just kind of seems odd." And this answer
flooded in. And the answer was that in
the accident when all of that kinetic
energy was released, some of that energy
that was going through his body actually
got stuck
>> in his neck,
>> dropped.
>> And that was the answer. So it was
actually what we now call a physical
trauma energy. So I thought that was the
answer. And I thought, okay, well
there's energy from the accident. That's
really weird, but okay. So I swiped a
few times with a magnet down his uh back
down his governing meridian with an
intention to release that energy and I
said, "Okay, try it now." And so he
moves his head like this and looks
around and he said, "How did you do
that?" And I said, "Well, how does it
feel?" And he said, "Well," he said,
"I'd say it's about a two."
>> Wow.
>> And I said, "When's the last time it was
a two?" And he said, "Oh, before the
accident." Right? So this is something
that most people have and have no idea.
Right? Think of all the traumas. Think
of all the hits you've taken, right?
>> There's trauma, no doubt, stored in your
body and those can be released. I
remember I was at not too Well, this
>> I hesitate to even tell this story
because it sounds so fantastic, but I'll
tell it anyway. I was at a uh I was at
this event, this networking event in
Vegas. The guy that sat down next to me
had the worst limp of anybody I've ever
seen in my life. And I started talking
to him and he told me that um about
three or four years before [snorts]
he was he fell asleep at the wheel and
he ran into the back end of a dump truck
at 100 miles an hour, got very injured,
severed uh one of his feet and uh they
were able to reattach his foot and so
on. So I started working on him using
what we call the body code asking his
subconscious mind what we need to
release. And there were multiple
physical trauma energies we had to
release uh and emotions the emotional
energy that he absorbed from his wife
when she came to the hospital room and
he was you know practically dead. He
absorbed that emotional energy cleared
that out and every time I would clear
something his ability to walk without a
limp would change. And that guy ran uh
that guy ran a 5K about two months
later.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. It sounds unbelievable and it it
actually is kind of unbelievable but but
it really did happen.
>> So the message here see that all along
we have had within us this uh really
this incomprehensibly powerful computer
that
>> we've never really known how to talk to.
We've never really known how to get
information out of it. But
>> it knows everything about us. It knows
why you have a symptom. If you're
diagnosed with some kind of a disease,
believe me, your subconscious mind, that
internal computer knows exactly why, and
it knows what needs to be done to help
you to maximize your life in every
possible way. The answers are all
inside. But we haven't been asking until
now. At work, greatness sometimes starts

>> If someone watching or listening right
now is hearing this and saying, "Okay,
this sounds interesting, but how can I
do this for myself? I don't have access
to a practitioner or you know I'm not
going to go find someone that can help
me with this. How can I start doing this
for myself right now to release these
emotions that maybe I've been storing
for years.
>> Yeah.
>> So that I can start to feel more free in
my body, start to feel more flow in my
body. Right.
>> Absolutely. Well, uh, what we have done,
my team has set up a special website
actually for your listeners and that's,
uh, at emotioncode.com
and they can go there and we've got some
special videos that are free that they
can watch and they can learn how to do
this. They can learn how to release
their first trapped emotion
>> and there's information there about the
books and if they want to, they can book
an appointment with a practitioner.
We've got lots of them all over the
world. And by the way, one of the cool
things about this is that it's energy
medicine in its purest form. And so it's
not bound by distance. So you might find
that the person you love working with
that helps you the most, maybe they live
in Singapore or Berlin or something, you
know,
>> remote healings.
>> Remote. Yeah. It works remotely. And you
know what else is great? It works on
animals.
>> Wow.
>> And that's that's one of the really fun
>> that's cool. proofs of this work because
animals, you know, uh they just get
better and and so uh there's no placebo
effect, right, with animals and it it
definitely works. In fact, one of my
very favorite stories is uh my wife and
I got a call one day to work on this
horse. It had a problem with its hind
quarters. It wasn't tracking right and
so they couldn't ride it. And they had a
vet come out and look at the horse and
there wasn't anything obviously wrong.
So then we got a call. So, we go down to
work on this horse. So, when when you
work on a horse, uh back then what we
would do is um I would have one person
put put a hand on the horse and then
hold out their other arm and then I
would talk to the horse and
and then the answers coming from the
horse's subconscious mind would manifest
on that person's arm, strong or weak.
Right.
>> That's crazy.
>> It is crazy. But I'm telling you, it
works. That's how we did it. So, I think
the horse's name was Ranger. So, if you
can imagine, I've got somebody touching
the horse, holding out their arm, and
I'm talking to the horse. All right. Is
your name Ranger? Yes. All right. Do you
have a trapped emotion that is
contributing to the problem with your
hind quarters? Yes. What's the emotion?
Is it in column A? No. Okay. It's in
column B. Is it in an odd row? No. So,
is it in row two? Okay, it's in row two.
Or whatever. We quickly found the
emotion was sorrow, right? We narrowed
it down. So then I'm asking these
questions like, well, was it sorrow
about another horse? No. Was it about a
dog? No. A cat? No. A human? No. And I'm
kind of running out of ideas, right? And
suddenly a bird flies overhead.
So I thought, well, all right. Um, was
it about a bird? Yes. Rock solid. And I
started laughing and so did all these
other people standing around. this would
always gather a little crowd, you know,
of interesting of people that were
interested to see the the crazy doctor
come and talk to the horse. [laughter]
So, so we're all laughing, but the the
horse's owner was there and she said,
"You know what?" She said, "Wait a
minute." She said, "I think I know what
this is about." She said that the week
before, right in front of this horse's
stall,
uh, a baby bird fell out of its nest and
fell down onto this little this little
paved pathway and struggled for its life
and died and a
>> and so I asked the horse,
you know, is that what caused this
emotion of sorrow? Yes.
>> [snorts]
>> And so then,
you know, just took a magnet and swiped
it down the horse's back, right, three
times to release that emotional energy.
They took the horse immediately out and
walked it and the lameness was
completely gone.
>> Wow, that's crazy.
>> Yeah. I I got so many stories like that.
We have over 10,000 stories like this.
>> So, walk me through the the different
codes then because you have emotion, you
have body, and belief.
Why did one lead to the next instead of
the first one being all you needed?
>> Right. Well, the emotion code book I
left practice in 2004
because I was practicing all week long,
60 hours a week and then, you know,
going and teaching seminars on the
weekend trying to get the word out about
this. And I finally realized, okay, it's
it's time for me to just do this and
I've got to write a book. So, that was
the emotion code. Well, the emotion code
is all about how to get rid of your
emotional baggage, how to get rid of it
from your animals, how to keep, you
know, how to talk to them and get
information and how to, you know, uh,
how to work with people at a distance
and how to release inherited emotions
and so on. And, um, and so that's the
emotion code. And the emotion code, of
course, has been translated now into
many, many languages around the world
and so on. And the next book really was
the body code. And um what happened was
I had taught bits and pieces of this
this whole method that I had learned
when I was in practice because I was an
old computer programmer. I always had a
computer there with me and when I would
find something new uh I would add it to
this big mind map that I was building
and it eventually turned out that there
were six different categories of
imbalances that cause our sicknesses and
so on. And um emotions are in one of
those categories. And the physical
trauma, energy we talked about, that's
in that same category. But then there's
also um there are nutritional and
lifestyle issues. There are pathogens
that get into the body that set up
housekeeping. There's toxins and
misalignments and disconnections between
the spirit and the physical body and
organs and glands and circuitry and all
kinds of stuff. So,
I thought when the emotion code book
came out, I remember thinking, okay,
eventually uh doctors, I'll teach
doctors all this other information
because it'll be great for them. It'll
change their practice like it did mine.
They'll be able to get, you know, have
great success with everybody. And that
was my thought, just kind of a loose
idea. Well, about a year later, I woke
up one morning and my mind was full of
instruction. And the instruction was,
you need to take everything you've
learned about natural healing and put it
into a self-study course that anyone can
learn and make it available to everyone
everywhere.
And it was so clear. This was not coming
out of my own head. It was from up
above. And I remember thinking, well,
wait, are you sure about this? This
sounds like it could be a lot of work. I
don't know. So, I sat on that for about
three months. And then I finally got to
work. And that was the the result of
that after about a year was what we call
the body code which is this this really
breakthrough revolutionary way to give
the subconscious mind rails essentially
to be able to to to know how to ask the
subconscious mind questions to take you
wherever. So it's like a uh it's kind of
like um just a simplified way to get the
information from the subconscious. You
don't have to be psychic. Anybody can
learn how to do this. In fact uh uh in
fact you know kids can learn how to do
it. So that's the body code. So then
eventually I wrote the body code book
and the body code book is really it's
really kind of the handbook for the app.
We have this app called the body code
the body code system. Well, when we
wrote the emotion code book,
um when I wrote it, my wife and I talked
about it and we we realized eventually
one day we were going to need to write
another book uh about just about the
heart wall because the heart wall is
this other topic that uh is arguably the
most important part of this work and it
has to do with the heart. And you know
the heart really the ancient peoples
believed that the heart was the seat of
the soul and the source of love and
creativity and romance. They believed
that the heart was the core of our being
and all these great things. In the west
we've never really given any credence to
those ideas. If anything we've thought
well you know those people anciently
they they just had a lot of poetic
license. They didn't have the kind of
instruments we have today.
>> Sure.
>> But guess what? Now we're finding out oh
gee looks like they were right and we've
been wrong. We know for example now that
people can literally die of a broken
heart.
>> Crazy, right?
>> Right. Yeah.
>> Crazy.
>> And it happens unfortunately probably
almost every day. It was the Japanese
that actually came up with that.
They found that women of a certain age,
you know, over 65 or so, if they were
going through some emotional event that
was traumatic, they'd go into heart
failure and their heart would assume the
shape of what looked exactly like what
they call a takatubo or a a Japanese
fisherman's jar that the Japanese
fishermen use to catch octopus. A taco
is an octopus, right? So, it's a
takatubo
uh octopus jar. And I've seen the
X-rays. It look weird. The heart looks
exactly like that. And so the heart's
failing. But in th those are cases where
you know eventually I mean when when if
you survive it the doctors will say well
it wasn't really a myioardial infuction
uh your enzymes are normal but uh we
don't know what it was but if you have
something like that I mean if you feel
like you're having a heart attack go to
the hospital but people die of this. The
the
>> it's the emotions though. It's not a
heart attack. It's more like the grief
or the trapped emotion that they don't
release.
>> Yeah. Exactly.
>> They don't process.
>> I had a case once, in fact, one of the
very first cases that I saw many years
ago. This woman came in and uh she
thought she was having a heart attack.
And she she'd been a patient of mine. I
hadn't seen her for a month or so, but
she comes in, she's got crushing chest
pain, difficulty breathing, left arm
completely numb, left side of her face
totally numb.
>> It's like a stroke or something.
>> Well, our office was right next to a
medical center. And so I told my staff,
look, you know, we, you know, just stand
by. Give me one minute with her. And in
that one minute, using the what we now
call the emotion code, I was able to
find out that she had a trapped emotion
of grief that had gotten trapped in her
body three years before when she found
out her husband was having an affair.
And when we landed on that, she burst
into tears and she said, "I can't
believe that's affecting me. I thought I
dealt with all that." And when I
released that trapped emotion from her,
uh, the feeling came back into her arm
and into her face within about 3
seconds. The chest pain melted away. The
difficulty breathing was gone. 10
minutes later, Lewis, after joking with
me and my staff and talking with us, she
left the office feeling totally fine.
And I remember after she left, sitting
down at my desk with my head kind of
spinning, thinking, "Wow, what did I
just witness?"
But see,
think about life. I mean, imagine being
born into a planet where you can't feel
any emotions at all.
>> I mean, imagine not being able to feel
happiness or joy, but not feeling grief
or sadness. Imagine not ever being able
to feel excited again. Imagine not ever
being able to feel depressed again.
Well, the emotions are the color, right?
They give all the color to the fabric of
our existence. Without emotions, life
wouldn't really even be worth living,
right? It would just be a flat line.
It'd be just a gray scale. And so,
emotions are so important to our lives.
But we're finally beginning to realize
that we have emotional baggage that
animals develop emotional baggage. In
fact, can I can I share a story with you
really quickly? This is from uh a woman
named Laura from Florida. She said
Octavia, a 15-year-old girl who sells
organic eggs from her pet chickens,
faced a heartbreaking situation when a
raccoon killed four of her birds. The
survivors were so traumatized that they
began coming into the house through the
dog door and sleeping in the guest room.
She held each of the 10 survivors and
shared their names with me. And I
released different trapped emotions from
each bird. This is probably at a
distance. The very next day, they
returned to the yard as if nothing had
happened.
>> Wow.
>> Wow. What do you think is the biggest
thing people get wrong about the
subconscious mind?
>> Well, I think what people get wrong
about the subconscious mind usually is
that they have they just don't know.
They have no idea how incomprehensibly
powerful it is. Right.
>> Is it more powerful than the conscious
mind?
>> Oh, absolutely.
>> Really? Yeah. Why is that?
>> Think of it this way. Okay. Uh, all of
your life, your subconscious mind has
been keeping you alive, creating
millions of new cells every minute, for
example. They say that every cell in the
body is equivalent in complexity to a
full-size aircraft carrier with
thousands of people on board, working at
their individual jobs, with jets on the
ramp, with their engines spooled up,
ready to take off. That's how complex a
single cell is. And you know, there's
probably 35 or so trillion of those or
maybe more, you know, in our bodies.
>> Your subconscious mind knows what's
going on with every single cell down to
the quantum level, right?
>> I mean, if you needed to, you could ask
your subconscious mind about one single
individual cell and it could answer any
question that you wanted to about that
cell.
>> It's mind-blowing, right? There are
trillions of chemical reactions going on
every every moment in your life. Your
subconscious mind, right, is supervising
all of those. I think that the
subconscious mind is the most powerful
computer that exists in the known
universe. And we, you know, we're just,
we just don't even think about it. We
take it for granted. You know, it runs
our lives. It keeps air moving in and
out of our lungs, keeps our hearts
beating and all of that.
>> And it also is remembering everything.
And you know, so I think that that's
what people miss is that it's well, it's
divine. I believe in nature.
>> I believe that we're children of God,
that he created these spirits for us and
and that we literally in a very very
literal way are brothers and sisters,
right? Uh in in the most literal way
possible, we we have the same father. We
come from the same family, right? We're
all come we're all from the family of
God. We might look different, but you
know, we're really all the same.
>> Yeah. Why do you think the conscious
mind is so bad at knowing what the
subconscious already knows?
>> I asked a question once, you know,
because what I used to do, I had heard
that um that the conscious mind is um
you know, is maybe maybe 10% of our
intelligence, right?
And uh and so I I had taught that for a
long time and then I thought, you know,
maybe I don't think it's 10%. I it can't
be quite that much. So So one day I
actually muscle tested this on somebody
and I've done this on several people.
And what I get when I muscle test this
and ask the subconscious mind, I get
that the conscious mind is 0.000000001%
of our intelligence.
>> Really?
>> Yes. Isn't that interesting? And you
know when people die and they go to the
other side, I mean imagine if you could
move the decimal point just one place be
incredible. But people die and they go
to the other side and they come back and
sometimes they talk about how their mind
expands in this incredible way and they
can ask as many questions as they want
at the same time and all the answers
flow in spontaneously and are all
understood perfectly
>> when they die and come back.
>> When they die when they're on the other
side.
>> So I think that in this life Yeah. Yeah,
I think we're I think our ability to
access our subconscious mind is dialed
back to a great degree and I think that
there are reasons for that. I think that
um we're here to learn
>> powerful or what?
>> Well, I think that Yeah, I don't know. I
mean, I think that we're here to learn
to live by faith
>> and we're here in this environment where
we
>> we have everything that we need, right?
And ultimately, when you get to the end
of your life, you find out that your
life is the end result of all the
choices that you made. And hopefully you
chose wisely, right? And um but when you
die, if you if you watch these
near-death experiences, you know, people
talk about how there's never really any
judgment, even if they see their whole
life, and they often report how they
they get to experience the things that
they did or said through the eyes and
through the feelings of other people,
the ripple effect, right? They get to
experience it from all sides, which is
really amazing. But it's never about
judgment. It's always just about
learning, right? And so, uh, so yeah, I
think that this is a very important part
of our learning. We're here and, um, I
think the most important thing we can do
is to learn how to how to love,
>> right?
>> Yeah.
>> And what's interesting is when people
get rid of that emotional baggage and
especially when that heart wall, you
know, that wall that gets built up, when
that gets taken down, uh, people often
fall in love who never thought they
would. The School of Greatness is
brought to you in partnership with
Airbnb. One of my favorite parts of
travel is when a trip gives you a
feeling you can't really plan for.
You're walking through a new city in the
morning. You're grabbing coffee. You're
talking to someone local. And suddenly
the place feels a little bit more
familiar. These are the moments that
stay with me. They're the things that I
crave. Not just the photos, but the
feeling of being somewhere new and still
finding meaningful connection. And
that's what I love about Airbnb. When
you're away having your own adventure,
your home doesn't have to just sit empty
either. You can share your space on
Airbnb and give another traveler a
chance to fall in love with your city
the way that you fall in love with the
places that you visit. And maybe there's
a big game coming up. Or maybe people
are coming in for a once in a-lifetime
concert. They need a place that feels
comfortable and inviting. And the income
from sharing your home can help pay for
your own trips. Your home might be worth
more than you think. Find out how much

>> What do people's life look like when
they're living with a heart wall without
actually knowing it?
>> Well, you know, about 93% of people have
a heart wall and don't know it. And so
it's it's the majority of people. It's
how most people are living.
>> And what does a heart wall actually
mean? The heart is everything the
ancients believed it to be. And uh and
we're finally beginning to realize all
of that now. Well, when you feel like
your heart's going to break at some
point and you feel that physical
sensation, which most people have felt
and can remember at some point, maybe
more than once. All right.
>> For some people, it's multiple times.
>> The subconscious mind will build a wall
to try to protect the heart because the
heart really is the core of our being.
>> Keeps us alive.
>> It keeps us alive. and and it also you
know there's a little brain in the heart
40,000 neurites and uh they've known
about this for many years but it wasn't
until the early 90s that they actually
looked at the communications between the
brain up here and the brain and the
heart and what they found really was
weird because they found that the vast
majority of the communications were
going from the heart brain to the brain
and the head
>> first from the heart to the brain
>> exactly indicating that gee maybe maybe
the brain bra that is in our heads is
obeying the messages sent by the brain
from the the heart center.
>> Yeah, exactly. Interesting.
>> They've also found interesting things
about this this little brain in the
heart that it actually has the ability
uh of precognition. In other words,
they've done tests and they found that
there are times when a split second
before something actually happens in
reality, this heart brain will register
it.
>> Isn't that interesting?
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. So I think that information that
comes into us, inspiration from above
comes in to the heart brain, right? And
you know, it's so interesting because
when when people have heart transplants,
uh they sometimes inherit the memories
of the donor sometimes, you know, the
the affinities of the donor. I mean, you
get a heart transplant, suddenly you
love baseball, you talk to the heart
donor family and they'll say, "Well,
yeah, our son was a baseball player. His
heart's beating in your chest now."
Isn't
>> that crazy?
>> Yeah. Amazing things. Um, one of the
most incredible ones was this 9-year-old
girl who got a heart transplant from
another young girl who had been
murdered. And when she recovered, she
started having these nightmares.
Nightmares that she was being killed.
And the nightmares were so consistent
that her parents took her to the police
and they were able to make composite
drawings from her descriptions. No, I'm
serious. from her descriptions that the
murderer and the murder weapon, they led
to the arrest and conviction of the
actual murderer.
>> That is crazy.
>> And the moral of that story is if you're
going to get a heart transplant, don't
get one from somebody that was murdered.
>> Right. Exactly. Wow.
>> That's what I'd say.
>> Wow. Um, you know, it's interesting
because I always felt like I was a very
loving kid, loving teen, loving adult,
like just loving in general. But I had a
lot of anger as well. like when someone
when something would happen, I would
feel an instant like reaction if it felt
like it was unjust or if I felt like it
was an abuse or an abandonment or some
type of feeling, right?
>> And even if it wasn't happening, if I
interpreted it as happening, I would
feel that I would feel that friction or
frustration or blockage.
And it wasn't all the time necessarily,
but it would kind of come and go and and
then I'd have some breakthroughs and I'd
have some healing and then it'd get a
little better, but then it was still
kind of there, right? Until 5 years ago,
I was doing some pretty deep therapy
healing work.
>> And at one point, um, something that my
therapist said to me after, and I was
doing six to seven hour sessions at a
time. So, I was like,
>> wow. It wasn't just let's talk for an
hour and like come back in a few weeks.
It was like every weekend six to seven
hours at a session. Let's figure out
what's really going on.
>> Intense,
>> intense. And it was a lot of [sighs]
exercises, role playing, you know,
emotional things, all these different
things to kind of see what's coming up.
And at one point kind of all the work
and all the reflection and all the
experiences and lessons finally landed
finally connected to my heart
>> where there's something that she said it
finally was like oh okay like my body
finally got it
>> and there was a pain in my chest that I
was having for a number of years that
would come and go
>> and I was feeling it at that moment and
it was like kind of a a heaviness a
weight or a clench pinchness on my
heart.
>> Mhm.
>> And all of a sudden, like it finally
resonated to where it was like almost
like a pop sensation where I thought I
hurt myself.
>> And I'm sitting here on a in a chair,
right? I'm not doing anything act
physically active. And I thought like I
hurt myself cuz it's like
>> my brain, my heart, my whole body had a
realization, an awareness
>> that I am safe and I'm going to be safe.
>> And this pain popped and it was almost
like
plasma or like a sensation of like
rushing through my body from every angle
from my heart all through my body, my
head, my fingers, my toes
>> rushing and I remember just being like,
"Oh shoot, what's going on?" I was like
really nervous cuz like I wasn't going
to be able to control anything and I
felt this rush throughout my whole body
and all I was doing was sitting there.
>> Yeah.
>> And I remember saying like after a
couple minutes I go, "Something's
happening right now. Give me a moment."
And after a couple moments, I go, "Man,
I have zero pain in my chest anymore."
And I'd felt pain for years.
>> Yeah.
>> And I don't know if I don't know if that
was an extreme heart wall that I was,
you know, living with for many years
that finally kind of had a release or
some type of sensation energetically
that then rushed to my body. I don't
know physically how to calculate what
happened physically in the body,
>> but is it something that you might be
able to explain what chemically happened
or physically happened with that pain
released from the heart and rushed
throughout the body?
>> Well, I've seen this kind of thing many
times with people. I mean, not exactly
as you describe, but I've seen lots and
lots of people with heaviness in the
chest that they have for years and
decades. And um one of the beautiful
things about the emotion code for
example uh is that um it's very very
fast. Now it took you a lot of work and
a lot of hours and many sessions
>> where um we're usually um you know we're
able to get results like that with
people often in a single session or a
few sessions.
>> Yeah. Does someone ever have that type
of sensation where they say like
something exploded in their heart and
there was a rush throughout their body?
>> Yeah.
>> I wonder what that was.
>> It was probably some emotional baggage
that your subconscious mind was holding
on to that finally through all that
processing
>> you were able to release
>> and and then suddenly you had blood
flow.
>> Really?
>> Yes. That's probably what it was. I've
seen that kind of thing before where
when we have trapped emotions, they will
definitely interfere sometimes with
blood flow and when you release all of a
sudden people can feel blood flowing.
It's really interesting. I mean, yeah,
it's a quantum phenomenon really, but
then there's also of course all these
physical effects.
>> Yeah.
>> But I'm glad you had that experience.
>> I have too cuz I I've had that heart
pain in five plus years.
>> Yeah. And you say that people once they
kind of let go of this heart wall, they
tend to find love pretty quickly or they
bring more love into their life.
>> They often do. Let me share a story with
you. Um, one of my very favorite stories
is one of the very first people that
that I worked on after we had this
experience where we learned about this
heart wall. And that was an interesting
experience. But the the one of the very
first people I worked on was this woman
who came in to see me. She had neck
pain. and her neck pain was about a nine
on a 0 to 10 scale. And as I was talking
with her, she told me that she was a
nurse. She was 38 years old. And uh she
was single. She had not dated in 8 years
and she was never going to date again.
She was sworn to, you know, being single
the rest of her life. And she was an
attractive, you know, person. And I
said, "Well, you know, why do you uh
how'd you arrive at that? How, you know,
what how'd you make that decision?" And
she said that eight years before she was
really deeply in love with this guy that
dumped her and broke her heart. Mhm. And
that was it. No more pain.
>> I'm done. I'm not I'm not going to open
myself up. I'm not going to be
vulnerable anymore.
>> Never again.
>> And she's got this neck pain. And that's
what brought her into the office. Right.
So I said, "Okay." So I start checking
her and I find she has a heart wall,
right? There were three layers, three
emotions making up this wall. Now you
can't see this wall. It's invisible, but
these three layers all had to do with
the breakup from eight years before. So
just took a few minutes, you know,
cleared one, two, cleared the last one.
When I cleared the last one, suddenly
the neck pain went from 9 to zero.
>> Wow.
>> I mean, just instantly. Right. And she
was so thrilled cuz that's why she'd
come in.
>> The neck pain.
>> Yeah. The neck pain. So her neck pain's
gone. Her heart wall is also gone. So So
she leaves the office feeling fine.
Doesn't come back. Three months later,
I always remember this. I saw her in my
hallway in my office. And I said, "Hey."
I said, "How are you doing? What's going
She said, you know, she said, "My neck
has been fine since I was here, but she
said, you cleared that heart wall for
me, and that really works." She said,
"About 2 weeks after I was here,
I ran into my childhood sweetheart and
found out he's been living right around
the corner from me for almost eight
years." Wow.
>> And we're dating
>> and we're in love and I think he's going
to ask me to marry him. Right. And I
just thought,
>> what a switch, right? Now think about
that. Why had she never He lived right
around the corner for eight years. Why'd
she never run into him?
>> She [snorts] blocked it.
>> She blocked it. She had this wall up and
so it didn't happen until that wall was
gone. Let me tell you one other story.
One of my favorite other stories about
this. This woman brought her son in. He
was 9 years old. And she said that what
had happened was first thing that
happened was she found that uh he
wouldn't hand in his homework. If he if
he did it, he wouldn't hand it in or he
wouldn't do it. Uh, and she'd go into
his room sometimes at night and he'd be
on the floor and she'd say, "What are
you doing on the floor?" And he'd say,
"I don't deserve to be in a bed." And
she thought, "That's weird."
>> And so finally she paid a surprise visit
to his classroom one day only to find
his teacher berating him for being
pathetic.
And so she took him out of school and
tried to do homeschool. That didn't
work. She took him to see a psychiatrist
and a psychologist. and she was told
that he was clinically depressed at 9
years old, but they couldn't be helped
because he wouldn't admit that he was
depressed. He had this grin kind of
pasted on all the time because he knew
he was supposed to be happy. He should
be happy, but he was so depressed. And
so he kind of had this fake sort of
smile pasted on. He's 9 years old. He's
trying to deal with it, right? So my
wife and I worked on him. We found he
had a heart wall and there were several
layers, several emotions making up this
wall
and um they all had to do with tragic
things that had happened in the extended
family. You know, a couple cousins died
in a car wreck and so on. And so these
layers, we cleared those layers, took us
about a half hour total. We got to the
very last emotion, the one that had
actually formed this heart wall. And
here's what had happened. Uh he was 5
years old at the time. his big sister
was babysitting him at this family
reunion at a lake in California and um
they were out on this dock and there was
no adult supervision around. It was the
two of them, but also they were joined
by this other little boy that she was
watching, little 5-year-old cousin, his
best friend.
And she decided it would be a great idea
to try to teach this little cousin how
to swim.
And his body disappeared under the dock.
And about an hour later, the divers
pulled his body out from under the dock.
And of course, he's long dead. Oh.
>> And his body's blue. And um the crushing
weight of guilt that his sister is
feeling for having such a horrific thing
happen on her watch as the babysitter.
that emotional energy, that emotion of
guilt became absorbed into his body and
immediately formed into a wall of energy
around his heart to protect his heart
cuz his heart was breaking, right, for
her, but also for his best little friend
that now was dead.
>> And so that was the last emotion that we
cleared. And then the muscle testing
showed the heart wall was gone. So she
takes him home. So in the next couple of
days, he's just kind of lying around
lethargic. and she was thinking, "Well,
it doesn't look like that really worked
either." But on the morning of the third
day after we worked on him, he got
himself up early, got himself ready to
go to school and got his lunchbox in his
backpack. He comes downstairs and he
says, "Mom, I can go back to school now.
I'm a happy." And that's a direct quote.
And so he did go back to school and he
went into the program for advanced kids
because he was doing so well and all his
learning disabilities were gone. And
>> wow. And uh that kid I think now is 37
and I think he's you know I don't know
how many kids of his own he's got but
his mother told us after that she said
um she said if I had not been open to
something so different
>> she said my son would not have survived.
>> Wow.
>> You know cuz he was so depressed at age
nine. Think of that.
>> Yeah.
>> So the heart wall we have found is the
single most powerful thing that there is
for depression.
You see the thing is I I believe that
the best ideas that you'll ever have
won't really come from this brain in
your head. They'll come from your heart
brain really, you know, and so when
people tell you when you graduate from
high school, you know, or college and
they say follow your heart, right?
That's great advice, but what if you
have a heart wall and n out of 10 people
do?
>> Yeah. It's hard to follow it then.
>> It makes it much more difficult.
>> It's confusing because then you start
following your analytical mind. Well, I
should be doing this. This is like the
thing that's the right thing to do or as
opposed to really following what your
heart
>> dreams of doing.
>> Yeah. And I really believe Lewis that
there's a perfect blueprint that lies
within the heart of every single person
of the perfect life that they can have
and that they can live.
>> But if your heart is surrounded with all
these layers of negative emotion, it
just makes it so much harder.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah.
>> Can you unblock these trapped emotions
yourself or do you need someone else to
help you unblock them? You absolutely
can. Um, you absolutely can. And lots of
people have changed their lives. Uh,
and, um, so for your listeners,
emotioncodenow.com would be the place to
go where they can actually, we've got
videos and a little program where they
can learn how to do this, how to release
their first direct emotion, walk them
through it.
>> Yes.
>> That's cool.
>> Yeah. And all the information is in the
books, too. We don't hold anything back.
You can learn the whole process in the
emotion code book. The heart code book
is all about the heart wall
specifically, you know. Um, it's all in
there cuz people need it. They, the
world needs this.
>> Do you feel like if someone were to
release the emotional baggage trapped
around their hearts, they would be able
to manifest more of what they want?
>> Well, absolutely. I mean, people can
have other emotional baggage, you know,
in their body besides that that's
wrapped around their heart. Uh-huh. But
typically when I was in practice, what I
used to do is if somebody had some kind
of a fire burning, for example, if you
know, if they really had neck pain or
whatever, I take care of that and then I
go right to the heart wall.
>> Interesting.
>> But um but yeah, it it happens all the
time. This a woman named Joy in London
in the UK. She said, "The husband of my
friend came to me for a session. He
didn't want to tell his wife about the
heart wall we cleared. So, I waited to
see if my friend noticed any changes.
She called me the next day saying, "I
don't know what you did, but he has been
so loving."
>> She said that she had never felt more
loved in her marriage. All the wrinkles
on his brow had eased away and he was
smiling more. She even mentioned a
couple of months later that he he could
thank me for saving their marriage.
>> Wow,
[laughter]
>> that's cool. Well, this is a quote from
your your book, The Emotion Code. You
say those whose hearts are open will be
the anchors for that divine energy that
will transform and heal the world.
>> Exactly.
>> When we lack the ability to have an open
heart, it sounds like we lack the
ability to access the divine to
transform and heal the world. But when
we allow ourselves to have an open
heart, which I guess is challenging if
you have been hurt emotionally in the
past or been let down or been lied to or
abandoned or used or abused or taken
advantage of or
>> so many of us have been in one way or
another, right?
>> Everyone has been at some point. One of
those emotions has happened. And usually
what happens is we then create a film
over our heart, some type of callous,
right, that says, "Okay, I don't want
that to happen again. Therefore, I'm
going to block that from happening. I'm
not going to be as excited. I'm not
going to be as emotionally available.
I'm not going to be as
>> loving towards people. I'm going to be
more questioning. I'm going to be more
guarded. I'm going to be more closed
off." Right? Because I was this and I
got hurt, right? I was in a marriage and
he cheated on me or she cheated on me or
whatever it is,
>> right?
>> And therefore, I'm never I'm always
going to be single the rest of my life.
It's like a callous, right?
>> Yeah. Exactly.
>> And it's hard to access the divine with
a calloused heart. It's hard to access
abundance with a callous heart,
>> right?
>> And it's hard to transform your life and
heal others with a callous heart. So I
love that quote from your book. Those
whose hearts are open will be the
anchors for that divine energy that will
transform and heal the world. So what
does that actually look like day-to-day
for someone to become one of those
anchors? Since better than 90% of
people, we think about 93% of people
actually have a heart wall. Um the most
important thing I think first to
recognize is uh is that you probably
have this phenomenon going on. And you
know it's interesting because not only
does it affect you uh with your
relationships and with your ability to
create money and abundance and so on, it
also has a huge amount to do with your
health.
>> Yes. When I was in practice, the last 10
years that I was in practice, most of
the people that I saw had been told
there was really no hope for them in
Western medicine at all. And yet, the
vast majority of them, with just a
couple of exceptions, were able to get
well. Why? Well, because I was asking
questions other people weren't asking.
And also because I knew about this heart
wall phenomenon. And sometimes, well,
every one of these patients would get a
typical western medicine exam, but they
would also get another exam where I
would check the balance of all the
organs energetically, all the glands,
all the chakras, all the meridians. And
it wasn't unusual for these people who
were so sick to find that all the organs
and all the glands were out of balance
and many of the chakras and meridians.
And I would write all that down. And
then sometimes with these people, I
would just do one thing. I would just
remove that emotional energy that had
wrapped up and built around their heart
and then I would redo that exam Lewis
and inevitably every time I did that I
would find that 80% of all those organs
and glands were humming away again you
know balanced perfectly and the and the
meridians and chakras too and I found
that it was the single most powerful
thing that I could do for a person to
help them to get well we're living in
the age of the heart now and we finally
have this knowledge knowledge. This
heart wall is a real thing. I never in
my wildest dreams would have imagined
this goes on that the subconscious mind
builds a wall. And and the funny thing
about it too is that it will always um
have some symbolic material that it's
quote unquote made out of. And so it's
often building materials like you know
like concrete or you know
>> why is that? It's not made of any
material. It's just it's just an
energetic field.
>> It's just an Well, yeah. But I think to
the subconscious mind um I think that it
understands that you can't have a wall
made out of nothing and so it'll choose
something and it's it'll interpret it as
something. Yeah.
>> Yeah. It's it's a symbolic sort of a
thing and and we talk about it in the
heart code. It's it's just an incidental
sort of uh thing. But it's interesting
because some people will have a heart
wall that's made of one-way mirror so
they can see out but nobody can see in.
Oh man. You know, I mean we've seen all
kinds of crazy things. Now, I want to
ask you about beliefs really quick
because you talk about these different
codes, emotion codes, body codes, and
belief codes.
>> If you were only able to give one
prescription for someone listening or
watching right now,
>> from all the experience you have from
being a doctor to to doing the energy
healing work that you do now
>> and you could only prescribe people with
one belief,
>> what would you prescribe people to
believe most? I think probably the most
powerful belief that a person can have
is a belief in the higher power but that
but that that higher power loves them
without limit.
>> You know to believe that to believe that
God um or the creator source energy or
however you refer to it has perfect love
for you that fills
the immensity of space itself. I think
that's the most powerful belief you
could have because then I think you
would feel that you could do anything
because you've got the backing of the
supreme creator of the universe. Right?
>> If people watching or listening don't
have a belief in God
>> and they don't have a belief that God
truly loves them and wants them to be
unlimited in their abilities.
>> What would you say to them? And what do
you think is holding them back if they
aren't at least curious to believe that?
>> You know, we all come into this world
and I uh [snorts]
I had an experience one day. I was 18
years old and I was just sitting
meditating very quietly and all of a
sudden I had this experience that I'll
that I'll try to describe. First, I
believe that be before we come into this
world, we live with God in this place of
indescribable
beauty and high vibration and
unconditional love and everything,
right? And then we come into this world
for these specific reasons, right? To to
learn and to make choices and, you know,
learn from our choices, etc. But when we
come into this world, there is a a
shield put over us or you might call it
a veil. It's like the veil of memory. I
talk about it a little bit and I talk
about this experience actually in the
emotion code book where our memories of
where we were before are blocked off to
us. We can't access them anymore, right?
All we know is here we are,
>> right? And that this is all we know and
all we've ever known. But [snorts] we've
been alive, I believe, forever before we
come here. And so I'm sitting one day,
18 years old, just quietly meditating
and all of a sudden
it's like this window opens somehow and
suddenly every particle my being is
filled with the most overwhelmingly
powerful feeling of homesickness
that I can't describe. Completely off
the chart
to be back where I was before I came
here, right? to be back where we all
were. And this lasted for about three
seconds. It was like this window opened
and then it closed and it just left me
reeling.
And I realized from that experience a
couple of things. I realized that we
really truly are strangers here just
passing through because we come from
somewhere that is William Wdsworth said
it. He said um trailing clouds of glory
do we come into this world from God who
is our home. And um and I realized
that that we're strangers here. But I
also realized that it's a good thing
that we have that block on our memories
because if we didn't have that, I
realized we would not be able to
tolerate it here in this world for five
minutes.
>> We'd want to go back or go beyond
whatever.
>> Yeah. So, you know, I've had some some
very interesting experiences and I I um
some very powerful spiritual experiences
and I know that God lives, that he loves
us beyond our ability to understand. I
had an experience at Disneyland once
that I talk about in the body code book
[snorts] where um one day I took some of
the some of our kids to Disneyland and I
didn't really want to go that bad, but I
took them, you know, trying to be a good
dad, right? And so I got him in line for
a ride and then I'm kind of walking
around and and just kind of in this
pensive sort of state, not having really
anything specific to do. And I'm
noticing people and you know, you've
been to Disneyland, there's all kinds of
people from all over the world and all
shapes and sizes and colors and
everything else.
>> And I remember thinking to myself, you
know, I'm sure these are all really nice
people, but they don't really mean
anything to me. I don't love these
people.
>> And I thought, I wonder what it's like
for God, our father in heaven. And I
wonder what it's like for him because,
you know, it says that he loves
everybody, right? And that we're all his
children. He must love all of us. What
would that be like? And so I said this
prayer and I said, you know, help me to
understand what that's like for you, you
know, God. And I didn't get an answer.
And I kind of just mentally shrugged my
shoulders and went home, right? So when
I got home, our two younger boys were
absolutely
just in shock. They couldn't believe I
didn't take them to Disneyland, right?
and they were a little younger, you
know, like eight and six, and I should
have taken them, but I don't know what
happened. But anyway, they badgered me
relentlessly, and I finally said, "All
right, fine." If you've ever been
harassed and brutalized by kids,
>> that's how that went. So, I So, the next
Saturday, I find myself back at
Disneyland again.
>> And I get them in line for a ride and uh
and I go for a walk and I find myself
kind of falling into the same thoughts
from the week before.
And I'm on this bridge at California
Adventure walking over this bridge
and I'm look noticing these people and
and I have this thought and the thought
was I wonder what it's like for our
father in heaven
who loves everybody and all of a sudden
the prayer from the week before was
answered.
And I'll try to describe this because
it's kind of indescribable. But all of a
sudden, I was filled with this
unconditional perfect love for all these
people on this bridge.
>> And I looked to my ride and there was a
ride over there with probably 200 people
in line for this ride. And I have this
unconditional love, this perfect love
for all these people in this line. And
this was so far outside of my realm of
experience, right? And so far outside of
my box that I suddenly felt panic and
instantly it was gone. Wow.
>> Just instantly shut off.
>> I had that experience. I know that we
have no idea how much we're loved.
>> Wow.
>> And that's the truth of our existence.
>> Yeah.
>> Is that we are so loved.
>> Yeah.
>> Beautiful.
>> I've got a couple final questions for
you, Brad. This has been powerful
>> and I want people to check out all your
work. You have the emotion code, the
hard code, the body code. And uh if
people go to
discoverhealing.com/greatness,
they can uh learn more about the emotion
code. And I think there's another link
you said something
>> emotion code now.
>> Emotion now.com as well.
>> You can go through a quiz or a test that
you can learn more.
>> Yeah, we got lots of information there
about the books. You can book a session
with somebody. Um we've got the little
course there that you can take where you
can learn how to release. We'll walk you
through releasing your first trapped
emotion.
>> That's cool. That's cool. So everyone go
there and check that out if you feel
like you need to release something,
which most of us do.
>> Yeah, I think so. This is a question
called the three truths that I ask
everyone towards the end. So imagine
hypothetically you get to live as long
as you want in this world but it's your
last day.
>> Yeah.
>> And uh you continue to create and serve
and and heal people and and and add
value in the ways you want to but for
whatever reason on the last day you have
to take all of your work with you. This
conversation, all of your books,
everything you've ever put out there
goes to the next place.
>> Yeah.
>> But on the last day you get to leave
behind three lessons to the world. and
that's all we would have of your content
left once you leave.
>> What would those three truths be for
you?
>> That God is real, that he lives, that he
loves us all beyond our ability to
understand, and that the most important
thing that you can do in this life is to
learn how to love other people
unconditionally.
>> That's hard hard for a lot of people.
>> Yeah, it is. Well, it's not meant to be
easy, I don't think.
>> Yeah.
>> But you know what's interesting is that
as people release their emotional
baggage, they become more capable of
that love. In fact, we've had multiple
people over many years tell us that when
that heart wall is taken down, they can
feel the love of the of the creator for
them.
>> That's beautiful. I want to acknowledge
you, Brad, for the journey you've been
on because it's been 22 years since you
left your practice
>> to explore how to bring more healing to
more people.
>> And I acknowledge you for going on that
journey because probably 22 years ago,
it wasn't
>> popular to
leave something that you had committed
to your whole life essentially.
>> Yeah. to being known as one thing in
chiropractic and then going into this
field of energy healing. So, I want to
acknowledge you for the journey that
you've been on and the journey you'll
continue to help people release trapped
emotions
>> and feel more free and feel more loved
because that's what we all need more of.
So, I want to acknowledge you for that.
Yeah. And that's really kind of you.
>> Of course. And I want people to get your
your books, the emotion code, the heart
code, the body code, or whichever one
speaks to you. Uh, and if you feel
you're having some type of trapped
emotion, make sure to check this out
because it can really help you release
those emotions so you can create more
freedom in your life. And I believe when
we have more freedom, we can reach our
fullest potential and hopefully just be
kinder to the people around us. And I
think that's a big goal for a lot of
people. So my final question for you,
Brad, is what's your definition of
greatness? I heard one time that the
definition of uh of spirituality
is consciousness of victory over self
and communion with the infinite.
>> That's powerful
>> and I've always loved that, you know,
because everybody has this perfect
blueprint within them and because it's
different for everyone, but yet we all
form this perfect mosaic. I mean,
imagine if everybody in the world could
have an open heart and could be
manifesting into the world the perfect
blueprint that's within them. Imagine
what a world it could be.
>> And I believe that's the world that's
coming. And so to me, I think that
greatness is is simply because it's
different for everyone. I think that
greatness is really just
creating and manifesting that perfect
blueprint that lies within your heart. M
>> what is it for you? It's different than
mine and it's different from the next
person, different for everybody.
>> But if you can manifest that perfect
blueprint that lies inside of you,
you've achieved your own greatness.
That's what I think.
>> Brad, thank you so much for being here.
Appreciate it.
>> Powerful.
>> Thank you, Louis.
>> Appreciate it. bone.
>> Whatever we say with [music] our mind,
how we perceive, how we look at things,
that is going to influence what it looks
like in the brain. Because whatever we
think about becomes [music]
phys it's electromagnetic forces we
generate that then changes structures in
the brain and the body and then the
brain and the body just follow the
bidding of the mind. So I'm telling
myself,
