Thailand’s Startup Landscape and the Role of True Digital Park, Papat Jinaphun, #FOSSASIA 2026
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
True Digital Park has established itself as the largest startup and innovation hub in Southeast Asia since opening its doors in 2018, aiming to address a significant gap where Thailand's vibrant economy did not match its underdeveloped startup scene compared to neighboring nations. As a mixed-use building designed specifically for this purpose, the park was founded with the singular goal of uniting all key players within the ecosystem under one roof. Over the years since its inception, it has successfully cultivated a vast network comprising approximately 6,000 partners spanning diverse sectors such as startups, venture capital firms, government agencies, and various incubator or accelerator programs to foster comprehensive growth.
The park supports this thriving environment through two primary layers of assistance: providing essential physical infrastructure and cultivating a strong sense of community. Physically, the facility offers fully furnished co-working spaces that eliminate the high costs associated with scaling up or moving offices for growing companies, alongside dedicated venues and experience centers designed to showcase technology and facilitate connections between startups and major corporations. Beyond mere space, True Digital Park actively builds bridges among different groups by hosting events and programs either independently under its own brand like Nomadness for expats or in collaboration with partners to ensure diverse communities can interact effectively within the Thai business landscape.
To further ease the complexities of doing business in Thailand, particularly for international individuals and companies, the park provides a comprehensive suite of support services including visa assistance, company registration, legal advice, accounting, and taxation guidance. Although not every service is handled directly by internal staff, True Digital Park leverages its extensive network of over 6,000 partners to connect visitors with the right resources and experts whenever needed. This approach ensures that entrepreneurs can navigate local regulations and operational challenges without difficulty, effectively acting as a one-stop solution designed to simplify life for everyone involved in the ecosystem while encouraging open dialogue at their on-site booths during events like FOSSASIA 2026.

So, True Space Park were actually the
largest
startup and innovation hub here in
Southeast Asia at the moment. And we
have been opening our doors since 2018
to help supporting startup ecosystem
here in in in Thailand. We're the
mixed-use building. And the reason why
we started True Space Park back was
because back at the time Thai startup
ecosystem is quite underrepresented if
we compare to our neighboring countries.
Even though our GDP is not so bad, but
our startup scene was quite not where we
were expecting it to be. So, that's why
we decided to open True Space Park in
2018.
And ever since we opened from day one,
our goal is to help support startup by
bringing together all the key players in
the startup ecosystem together under one
roof. And since 2018 up until now, we
have around 6,000 partners across
different sectors, across different
categories, everything from startups,
venture capital,
government agencies, and government
organization, and also institution,
incubator, or accelerator program. And
you may be wondering that why like how
exactly do we help support startup
ecosystem here in Thailand. Is we
actually do it through two different
layers. The first one is by providing
the fundamental element, which is the
physical space. We have everything here
from co-working space, fully furnished
so that for startup, they don't have to
worry about sinking cost of like scaling
up and down, like moving the office.
They can just move in. And we also have
even space such as this venue
to help supporting startup. And we also
have
experience centers to showcase
technology, latest innovation, and also
to act as a a touch point for companies
to talk to big corporations here in in
Thailand as well. And the second layer
is that we do is by providing a sense of
community here in True Space Park. We
try to bring together all these
different people from different
community together through our events
and our programs that we Some of them we
host by ourselves as True Space Park or
under Nomad Nomadness for
expat community here. And some we do it
with our partners. Mostly we do it with
our partners actually to bring different
community together. And on top of that,
we also have other support services like
visas, company registration,
legal, accounting, or taxation to help
supporting these international
individual and companies because we know
and we understand that it can be quite
difficult to do business here in
Thailand. That's why we want to make it
easier. We want to be a one-stop service
to make life easier, to make things
easier.
Even if we don't do everything ourselves
in-house, but we have over 6,000
partners that we can connect people to
talk with them or to point them in into
the right direction and with the right
people. And today we also have our team
setting up the booth outside. So if
anyone has a questions, want to just ask
us anything, need any assistance or
help, or just want to drop by to say hi,
we're just outside and we're looking
forward to meet everyone and connect
with everyone today. Thank you and enjoy
your your break. Thank you.
