Video summary

Bu videoda Jessica George, Hypothesis ekibinden biri olarak, açık pedagojiyi etkinleştirmek için Hypothesis sosyal not alma aracının nasıl kullanılabileceğine dair bazı ipuçlarını paylaşmaktadır. Açık pedagojinin temellerini oluşturan OER (Açık Eğitim Kaynakları) hareketiyle birlikte yeniden ortaya çıkan bu yaklaşım, öğrencileri bilgi üreticisi olarak görmeyi ve açıkness ilkesine odaklanmayı benimsemektedir. OER'ler, kamusal alanda bulunan veya Creative Commons gibi lisanslar altında paylaşılan eğitim materyalleridir; kullanıcıların bunları serbestçe erişmesini, yeniden kullanmasını, düzenlemesini, karıştırmasını ve dağıtmasına olanak tanır. Hypothesis sosyal not alma özelliği aracılığıyla açık pedagojiyi uygulamaya sokmanın çeşitli yolları bulunmaktadır.

Hi. I'm Jessica George with the Hypothesis team, and today I'd like to talk about a few tips for activating open pedagogy with Hypothesis social annotation. Many educators, myself included, learned about open pedagogy through the open education resources movement. OERs are instructional materials that users can freely access and use, either because they are in the public domain or are shared under an intellectual property license like a Creative Commons license that allows users to retain, reuse, revise, remix, and/or redistribute them. Open pedagogy is an approach that reemerged alongside the OER movement and shares the OER movement's emphasis on openness, seeing students as active creators of knowledge. There are many ways you can activate open pedagogy using Hypothesis social annotation. Here are a few ideas. Spark critical thinking through collaborative discussion and evaluation of OERs, including multimodal texts, using the Hypothesis YouTube annotation feature. Create renewable assignments by extending annotation discussions into summative assessments. For instance, you could ask students to cite each other's annotations in later essays, exams, or projects, drawing attention to their role as knowledge co-creators inside and outside of the classroom. Promote student agency and student voice by inviting comments and questions on course readings and documents. I hope this video has given you some ideas about how Hypothesis social annotation can help you on your open pedagogy journey. Thanks for watching.
