Taking On DUELIST KINGDOM In Yugioh Master Duel! | Duelist Kingdom Conquest EP2

In this series, I am entering Yu-Gi-Oh anime's Duelist Kingdom arc and will be attempting to make my way to the Duelist Kingdom finals. I start with 20 star chips and must obtain 80 more by defeating other duelists competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Each episode, I will take on a fellow YouTuber in a duel using cards from the Duelist Kingdom Arena Draft with a twist. Before each game and after seeing their opening hand, the turn player must select a number of star chips to wager on the duel. The winner of that duel steals that number of star chips from their opponent. Once one duelist is left with zero or the 1-hour time limit ends, the match is over. If I'm able to reduce my opponent to zero star chips, I can steal a card from their deck to use in the next episodes. But if my star chips are reduced to zero, I have to completely restart the challenge. Once I have 100 star chips in the series, I can move on to the Duelist Kingdom finals. Welcome to Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Hello everyone. Welcome back to Duelist Kingdom Conquest episode two. in the first episode back and forth, but unfortunately I am down to only 10 star chips. Now, this is going to make the intro not as exciting because there's actually something I was going to introduce in this second episode. I still will be introducing it, but it's going to be a little bit less exciting because of how we perform. So, I'm going to spin this wheel and get our free card, which we definitely need with our deck. Our deck is Oh, come on. No, no, no. No fusion. Hey guys, it's so good to be back here on Ruxen's channel and today we're spinning boss monsters. Duelist Kingdom Conquest Boss Monster Wheel. So, whatever I spin, I get to play three copies of these cards in my deck, which should be interesting. So, Gate Guardian, don't want that. Exodia, don't want that. King of the Yummy. Mai, what year are we in? What the hell? How old is Ruxen? He's old. What? Hump King, the king of ghosts, red eyes, black dragon. Honestly, great moth. Okay, give me Dark Magician. Give me Dark Magician, please. Give me Dark Magician, man. What are we getting? I'm Bonds. I'm Bonds. Okay, so if we look at the fusions, we got a lot of great options. We got Punished Eagle, Roaring Ocean Snake, Rabbit Horseman, Guy the Dragon Champion, Blood's Ultimate Dragon, Black Dragon, Guiltia, Flame, Swordsman, Empress Judge, Zombie Warrior, Skull Angel, Labyrinth Tank, Thousand Eyes Restrict, Barox, and Bickory Box. Sick. I've already deleted polymerization, but I don't know if I could bring that back technically. I guess maybe at some point I could. I guess I'll get Guyia the dragon champion because we have Guyia the fierce knight. So there technically if I get curse of dragon at some point maybe I can make it but that feels like a complete waste sadly. Gains 100 attack while castle of dark illusions on the field. Also during your standby phase if castle dark Illusion is on the field this card gains 1,000 attack defense. This effect activated once per turn for four of your standby phases. Castle dark illusion must be on the field to activate and resolve this effect. If cast of the field, if cast of dark illusion on the field, okay, so we basically need castle dark illusions. Whatever you spin can be used at three and if it requires another card, those cards can be used at three. So for sure, I'm allowed to play a castle dark illusions according to Roxson's rules. So 100,000% we're throwing in Castle Dark Illusion into our deck hands down because it's a 1930 defense at least. Right. So now we got to go to this duelist kingdom thing. And we have to draft 40 cards. So So armor lizard I guess level four magician of faith. Amazing. Manerbug. Great. Griffin defense. More vanillaas. Horn of the unicorn. We got griff right here. So yo guys, I'm not Okay, so armor lizard. I think horn of the unicorn is good. We we should get that. Kakuda Evolution. This card is 2,000 defense, so we're going to get that. Another Horn of the Unicorn, which is great. Another Magician of I think we should get more. No. Well, we already have Castle of Dark Illusions, right? But Dragon Nails, equip to a dark monster. It gain sign attack. It cannot be destroyed by your opponent card effects. You can only to a dark monster. Gain sign attack. Also cannot be destroyed by your opponent card effects. If this card is sent to the graveyard cuz monster will destroy at battle, you special that monster. If you do equip this Oh, okay. We need to get dragon nails there because our pumpkin is a dark but w of faith is very strong but I think dragon nails can be really handy here. Useless useless use beaver warrior. They're both kind of but I would take beaver warrior. Captain Guardian is also really nice. We already got two horn of the new honestly I think horn of unicorn is just so broken bro. Yeah I think horn of unicorn is better. Yeah. Ooh these cards are kind of nice. Let me see. Do I go with Magician of Faith or Skill? What spell cards do I add back? It's just Horn of the Unicorn for now, but I think Magician of Faith is just better overall. I think Mystic Box, good removal. Yo, we're getting tons of um Magician of Fates. Maybe another another sword. Kuribo. Sure. Kuribo. Okay. Call the Haunted is actually lit as well. Yo, this is act I'm torn between these two cards, guys. Larae Moth. These cards are all garbage. Skelejo is good. Castle Dark Illusions. We we don't have to pick him because we we we can already play him. So, we can go into the gate attack. Let's go. Kakuna evolution again. Once per opponent's turn, if this card will be destroyed by card effect scores, 1850 beat stick. I'm I'm taking this witch of the black forest. Thank god. Kunai with Shane taking that. These cards are all terrible. Ooh, shadow spell is also really nice. I think tribute to the doom is better. What traps do we got? I think tribute to doom is just better for removal. Horn of heaven. Another maner bug. Grieval for the vibes. All right, guys. I think I got my deck here. Um I I don't think it's like the greatest deck, but I think it's fine. You know what I'm saying? Like we we have a bunch of like very versatile card. I do love Dragon Nails here. I think Dragon Nails is like is like one of one of the best cards in my deck with pumpkin for sure. And it's just a very it's very basic, very very standard Flanders. You know what I'm saying? Let's get Let's go. Let's build our deck. And this is what our deck looks like. I'll put this on master and I'll showcase you guys exactly what it looks like when it's neatly organized. All right, let's go. But before that, Roxson says that we get a spin. We get two spins from this wheel right here. So, let's spin once. Okay. Thank god I I I got a trap card. So, I got one trap card and then let's spin again. Okay, another trap card, please. Okay, thank you. My deck was missing lots of trap cards. So, then he says to go look at Duelist Kingdom and pick two trap cards. I'm going to pick two mirror forces. Yeah, he's cooked. He's cooked. All right, guys. I'm picking two mirror force. Let's go. Now, we get to the new portion. And this only starts in episode two of the series where we get to redeem star chips for free cards. Now, the problem is I'm I only have 10 left. I'm going to put on the screen how much each thing costs. We'll go over it. To get a normal rare card from Master Duel, we have to pay three star chips, which is the minimum we have to bet per duel. Five for a rare. We have to pay 10 for a super rare and 20 for an ultra. Well, we only have 10 left. You can't have zero. So, we have to either get a normal card or a rare card. These star chip purchases are the only thing I get to do that my opponents don't get to do. So, here's where I have to create my advantage against them. One of my first looks is at Juriggumo, which is an inn. So, it's only three star chips, which would leave me at seven for this episode. Sam is also going to have seven because we're kind of simulating it as if we're in the same position or whatever. So, every episode they will have the same amount as me. So, it's not like 30 versus seven or something like that. It's just going to make it's going to make sense to have the same amount at the beginning. I think Jurigumo could be a good choice. Let's keep looking. Maneater bug might also be a normal. That could be pretty awesome. Good removal. Morphing jar. I think that's at least an SR. Skill angel is not bad. I don't I could look at the normals for like high attack, you know, just somebody that doesn't have to pay off the life points, you know, maybe somebody's like 19. I don't know if that exists. I mean, there is Linen. That's pretty good. I could get the curse of dragon. Then I could, you know, make make Guy the dragon champion bring back my polymer. I did remove it, so technically I I would have to reacquire it. So, I don't think I'm going to do that. I think what I need the most right now is monsters, you know, that aren't terrible. So, if I added this, I'd have something that can actually attack with a lot of attack points. You add this with Horn of the Unicorn, that's 2900. Then I can remove one of these terrible tributes. So, Gaia, Blue Eyes, White Dragon. Honestly, Reaper of the Cards is not that bad. I think it's got to be probably Catapult Turtle or Lava Battle Guard. This at least has 1,800 attack, which is pretty decent. So, maybe I get rid of Catapult Turtle. Do I have any other terrible spells? I think this is probably the worst card in my deck. So, let's do that. And I'll pay three star chips for that. So, now I'm at seven star chips. We need to get to 100. And if we get to zero, we have to completely restart. I lose everything and I just start from the beginning. So, I'm trying to avoid that. Uh it's like a nuzlocke of Yu-Gi-Oh. But, um I'm not feeling too good. But I do feel much better with the jury. I wish we didn't have to add this. That really sucks. There is like a two in six chance you have a terrible role because there's rituals and fusions. At least it wasn't a ritual, though, cuz then I'd have to add a ritual to my deck, which would mean I'd have to put it in my deck, which would be awful. So, uh, at least this is in the extra deck where I don't have to use it. So, that's the choice for today. We're going to head into Duel's Kingdom Conquest, see what we can do. I got to defeat a YCS champ in Sam in the Duelist Kingdom. And uh he's probably gonna be hiding in the forest like Weevil Underwood knowing him. All right guys, so currently this is what my deck looks like. I think it looks really really good. It's pretty solid. The whole goal is to actually get out pumpkin as consistently as possible. I know that we were able to spin two traps and I decided to pick two mirror forces, but I already have one mirror force. So like I think three mirror force might be a bit too OD. All right, with the fact that we already got a bunch of great removal right here, maneater bugs and and stuff like that. So, I think the best route is to actually go for more of like um a pumpkin style. You know what I'm saying? So, I'm thinking we go Call of the Haunted. All right. Because, you know, it's Pumpkin. You know what I'm saying? So, we'll go Call of the Haunted and then we'll do the second Mirror Force. All right. I think that that's better. You know what I'm saying? Because so that way that if our pumpkin dies, uh we can just revive it back. Um you know what I'm saying? So, honestly, my gut is telling me to play three Call the Haunted for some reason. But I feel like if we I feel like we just can't surpass on Mirror Force. Uh you know what I'm saying? So let's do that. All right. This is the deck list right here. This looks like a very solid deck. I'm not going to lie to you. Like my my my bond strategy is is going to be crazy. So very excited to see this deck in action.
