Is this the best travel pouch? Hello
everyone, this is Amit Don. So I was in
Muji downtown Toronto store on the other
day and I came across the Muji wide
opening pouch. So I'm just going to show
you some aspects very quickly. So this
is the full name
wide opening pouch and you can see that
this is made from thin firm uniquely
wrinkled iron nylon.
Wide opening design and in terms of uh
measurements, so this is uh 4.3 by 2.4.1
1 by 1.4 inches and then the price is
11.90 Canadian.
And uh basically, so this is kind of a
very small pouch. Now
the thing about this pouch is that it
widely it opens like you know very wide
when you're opening it and you can like
you know put in some very nice a lot of
stuff in it. And when you close it, let
me just uh
close here a little bit.
Okay, so when you close it, it looks
like this. So you can see that this is
very minimal,
uh very unobtrusive looking. It doesn't
look like you know bulky although it's
kind of like you know a white pouch and
when you open it, then it looks like you
know uh open wide. And I'm going to show
you some practical uses of this. So I'm
traveling to Philippines uh
Singapore and Turkey within a week and
this is going to replace lots of my
items I was putting in ziplock. And
that's like you know
one of the best things about uh this
time I'm traveling because I don't have
to carry like you know a few or ziplocks
here and there. So this is going to
replace a lot of them and I'm going to
show you like you know what you can put
some ideas and stuff. Now
it has a internal mesh pocket which is
right here, but uh I got to tell you
this that you know this pocket
here
has like an underneath it's not like you
know closed. As you can see that you can
put a stuff in here, but if you're
putting stuff on this side, it it can
slide over to the other side. There's no
like, you know, closure here, but which
is fine. It doesn't bother me. And here
you can put some stuff here, you can put
some stuff, and you can even put in
some, like, you know, a little bit bulky
stuff, and it's it's going to take you
perfectly because of the unique shape.
And here, even there's a loop or hook,
and you can just put it on your, like,
you know, backpack or on your sling bag
or anywhere, and it's going to just stay
there. And in terms of, like, you know,
any outer pocket or anything, it doesn't
have that. So, this is just, like, you
know, uh everything is inside, and uh
you can have, like, you know, one, two,
and three pocket. So,
I have a few combinations of a stuff
here, so I'm just going to show you one
by one. So, this is, like, you know,
GoPro and battery and cable. And here I
have some uh
uh chapstick or lip balm and, like, you
know, cream and eye cream, uh all
everything for travel. And here I have
another combination of things, which are
some, like, you know,
uh cash, coins, credit card, and a
flashlight. So, I'm going to show you
one by one how you can put it. So, let's
start with the very one on the right.
So, let's say if you want to put in some
coins, then you can use the middle
compartment. Uh you can just put in
here, and you can see that it's just
going to uh stay here. And then on one
side you can put in the um
earbuds, and then on the other side uh
you can put in the
uh
credit card or any type of card, and
then here we have uh
some cash, and you can just, like, you
know, put in some cash when you travel.
Let me just
put it here quickly. So, you can put in
some cash here, as well.
Uh and then, actually, there's room for
even more, but for this setup, I'm just
going to show you only this. And And
once you close it,
uh it's going to just like, you know,
stay here very
neatly, and it's not a big issue here.
And you can see that it even doesn't
look bulky, although you put in so much
stuff, and also there's some room here.
So, this is one combination you can use.
Now,
let me just use uh another one. So, I'm
going to uh take this out, and I'm going
to take out the coin.
And here we have the
like, you know, uh moisturizing uh thing
for flights. So, you can put your eye
cream on one side, and you can put in
your lip balm on other side. And here's
like, you know, another lip balm you can
put in here. And you can you have a
cream here you can put in. Now, if
you're kind of running out of little
space, you have to just kind of like,
you know,
uh
switch it around. So, for example, I'm
going to just switch this lip balm here,
and you can see that it's still there's
room. You can fit in more items, and
then
once you zip it, uh
then it's just going to, you know, it's
not going to even look bulky. And this
time I even didn't put anything in here.
So, the inner inside com- the middle
compartment is uh empty. So, I'm going
to just take this out, and in terms of
like, you know, electronics and stuff,
I'm going to show you also uh very
quickly. So, here I have my GoPro, so
I'm just going to put it It looks kind
of see like, you know, bulky, but it
still is going to fit in. That's the fun
part. So, I'm just going to put in uh
GoPro on here,
uh on this side, and then I'm going to
put in uh the cable
on this side, and then I have uh the
battery, and then I can put the battery
in here. And still you can see that
there's still there's some room left.
You can put in like, you know, some
little bit other stuff and accessory in
here. And then, once you close it, then
it looks like, you know, very nice and
minimal. It doesn't even look like, you
know, there's anything. It feels a very
tight because I didn't you know, arrange
them properly
just to like, you know, for the video,
but you can just put them nicer way and
it's not going to even feel or look that
kind of bulky. So, it has
various uses. You have to just kind of
figure out what you want to put and how
you want to put it and then this is a
very perfect item for travel.
Um I like this after buying one so much
that I might end up buying another one
or a couple more, but this is a very
nice and helpful item which has a
variation of uses. So, you have to just
like, you know, use it for travel or
even you can use it for like, you know,
putting accessories at home or even when
you're just like, you know, going uh
within the city here and there. So, you
can use it for many purposes and I I
feel that, you know, the price is just
right. Uh it's not too expensive and uh
the quality uh looks like excellent
quality and usually Muji products are
like, you know, not bad quality, but it
looks like, you know, it's going to last
a long time. And also I saw a variation
of colors, but this is the only one I
got which I liked. There's no like, you
know, brown one which I would have
picked, but still, you know, this is
okay. And uh this is called
