Video summary
In this episode of Watch a Weekly Wednesday, Aubrey from the Stampin' Up! creative team introduces viewers to the newly released "Enjoying the Little Things" stamp set found in the Mini Catalog. She highlights the set as a versatile all-occasion collection featuring cheerful sentiments like "Happy Birthday," "Hugs and Kisses," and phrases such as "Sunshine and Smiles." Aubrey particularly praises the accompanying checkered background stamp, noting its photopolymer material makes it incredibly easy to use for creating imperfect, stylish patterns that fit current design trends. She demonstrates how simply using a single color of ink, like Peach Pie, allows users to quickly cover cardstock with a fun, modern look that adds instant visual interest to any project.
Aubrey shares her first project idea by stamping the checkered pattern across an entire piece of cardstock to create a cohesive background before adding a simple "Happy Birthday" sentiment and coloring in a small cake image. She emphasizes how this approach creates a cute, gender-neutral card suitable for anyone. For her second demonstration, she explores a more disjointed aesthetic by using a technique called stamping off, where she stamps the checkered pattern once and then lightly taps the stamp on an ink pad before applying it again to create gaps in the design. This method prevents the background from looking too uniform and adds a unique texture that complements the circular nature of the other images in the set.
The video concludes with Aubrey showcasing how the various small, circular elements within the "Enjoying the Little Things" set pair perfectly with circle punches to create layered and dynamic card designs. She specifically recommends using punches like the 2-3/8 inch and 1-3/4 inch sizes to frame sentiments such as "May your day be filled with hugs and kisses," often adding small die-cuts like a puppy to enhance the theme of affection. Aubrey expresses her genuine enthusiasm for the set, describing it as bright, trendy, and full of creative potential that encourages users to experiment further. She invites viewers to try their own ideas with the new products and directs them to check the links below if they are interested in purchasing the stamp set or the recommended circle punches.

hey Stampers welcome to another week of
watch a weekly Wednesday I'm Aubrey part
of the stamp and Gil creative team and
today I'm excited to show you a stamp
set that's in the new mini catalog it is
the enjoying little things Stamp Set
this is one that's toward the back of
the catalog but it totally caught my eye
when I came across it and I was really
excited to play with it it's a great
kind of All Occasion type of stamp set
it has happy birthday enjoy the little
things hugs and kisses sunshine and
smiles it's just a cute happy pretty
modern looking stamp set and I was
loving it so I wanted to show you a few
ideas that I came up with using this set
and I want to give you some tips to
using this cute checkered p uh stamp
that's in here um in the background so
I'm going to start with that the first
thing I wanted to do was do an all over
background check because that style is
pretty in right now so I just took a
piece of 5 and 1/4 by4 um piece of peach
pie card stock and I'm also just using
peach pie ink and I'm just going to take
this it makes it so easy being
photopolymer I'm going to start in this
bottom left corner cor and I'm just
going to stamp this check all across the
background of this card stock and this
stamp really makes it so easy to line up
and it has a little bit of imperfection
in it so if it's not perfectly lined up
you really you can get away with it so I
thought that was so fun and I wanted to
just kind of show you how easy it was so
all over I love love love stamp sets
stamp sets that have these background
images that you can make on a card and
give you a lot of different options with
it okay and Jen just pointed out to me
because she is helping me film I have
this on the shirt that I'm even wearing
today how funny is that I didn't even
plan it see I told you it's a very in
design in clothing in design all sorts
of things right now so there you go I
won't finish that up but I'll show you
the finished card this is the one I came
up with you can see how cute that is in
the background and then I just added
that cute happy birthday stamp and
colored the little cake so simple but
such a cute card and really it could be
for um a boy or a girl so fun okay one
other um one other idea I wanted to show
you
let me just clean my stamp really
quick we're going to pull
in poppy
parade and I have another piece of 5 and
1/4 by4 card stock this is pull party
and I'm going to use um my poppy parade
with this stamp again and I'm going to
stamp once and then stamp off so I kind
of get that two-tone look with it and on
this one I'm going to do not the entire
background and I don't want it to look
too cohesive oh let's see I want the
next one to be stamped off so I kind of
want it to look a little disjointed I'm
still lining it
up but I'm not
completely doing the lines perfectly I
don't know if that makes full sense to
you but I'm leaving like Gap here just
like
that and then I'm going to come in with
another punch I love the circle punches
with this Stamp Set because these images
are kind of circular in
nature so the punches are great I've
used the 2 and 38 in one is awesome but
also the 1 and 3/4 so let me show you
the card that I did with that I just
covered up the middle of it with a punch
and may your day be filled with hugs and
kisses and then I put a little puppy
because who doesn't want hugs and kisses
from their puppy dog I know I love them
so that's another really cute way to use
that
background and then let me just pull in
the other two cards that I
made and I just there's lots of little
pieces in this stamp set so I just did
some cute backgrounds with all the
little pieces which the set it's called
enjoying little things so it kind of
works out perfectly and again I just
used those um Circle punches with it I
think it coordinates so perfectly so
make sure you grab some of those
too but yeah I have loved playing with
this set I actually think I'm going to
keep playing with it come up with some
more ideas but I'd love to see what you
come up with too I think it's fun it's
bright it's on Trend and I have loved
loved loved playing with it so let me
know what you think if you're interested
in purchasing that or some of our Circle
punches make sure to check the links
below and thank you so much for watching
we'll see you next week for another
watch it weekly Wednesday
