Spanish Wonderkid Right Back Linked With Toffees Move | Everton News Daily

Welcome to Toffee TV. It is the Everton News Daily. Everton beat Newcastle United last night in Scotland. The penultimate preseason game of the season, winning 3-1 thanks to goals from Tel Barry. Illman in Jai George give Everton the win. And it was it was quite a good performance from a lot of the younger players as well in the Everton squad. uh hoping to uh give David Moyes some tough decisions ahead of obviously the first game against Crystal Palace a week on Saturday. Obviously Evan have got to play Leil first on Saturday when they play their last pre preseason game traditionally at home at Hill Dickinson. So uh lot of food for thought. It was good a good run out. It was good to see him and J back on the goal scoring starting the game as well and um Barry had a really good game as well. a lot of good performances. Harrison Arnong turn you treat George done well as well. So it was a it was a good good performance from Everton and hopefully keep that going on Saturday and then into the first game of season against Crystal Palace. Tim Bernham has been linked with a move to Hull for 15 million pounds. Uh that the stories have come from the whole area with the local BBC news reporting it. um he's been linked with Hull for most of the summer, so it's going to be interesting to see whether they do come in for him. Um not got long left on his deal at Everton and I think, you know, this would be a deal now when you look at the squad and look at the players we've got that would make sense, free up a little bit of money. Certainly, if we want to push on and get a right back and maybe want to push our budget up a little bit, it would make money. We have to start, you know, getting some money back for some of the players who surplus of requirements. Obviously, we've already seen Dwight McNeel go out the door. Um, but obviously that was a straight swap. So, getting some money for one of the players that will probably be on the edge of the squad this summer, sorry, this season would make complete sense. So, we'll have to wait and see. He looks like he's got a bit of an injury as well that he picked up against Stuckard. So, whether that would scupper any deal or obviously that would be factored into a medical, we'd have to wait and see. But, um, I think it would make sense for everybody. I know a lot of Evertonians do like him and he is a good player but and obviously he's good enough to stay in the Premier League. I just think we've got a lot of better options in our midfield and certainly watching Harrison Armstrong this summer and Men roll as well. Let's not forget you know he's a center midfielder even though he's been playing on on the right. I think those two players straight away are players that would come into the side before Tim Boom. So we'll have to wait and see on that one. Evan continues to be linked with Barca right back Hector for Fulham and Liverpool also apparently on the lookout for the player. Um I don't know how you can keep monitoring a player though. This is what I think drives fans a little bit mad when these words like monitor get used keeping an eye on. Um you know I you either know you like a player or you don't like a player. they're either good enough or they're not good enough and you have to move on quickly from from that. So, um it's someone again we've been linked with a lot recently. But I do think there's three or four targets that Everton have looked at and are continuing to sort of figure out which one would be the best deal to come in at Everton. So, we'll have to wait and see on that one. Jordan Pigford has returned to training at Finch Farm today. Uh I'm I'm sure he'll play on Saturday. Uh he's done this a few times for Evan where England have gone into the latter stages of tournaments and he's come back and he's been ready for the beginning of the season. Um he's had his break fella you know I'm sure he's you know surely he doesn't need too much work after you know going deep into the into the into the World Cup obviously going to the final weekend being part of the squad that competed in the uh third and fourth place game even though he didn't play in that game. It's probably why England conceded so many goals in the game. Um, but he is back at Finch Farm today. Another player who has had his first day of Finch Farm is Bernardon Johnson. First training session today with the rest of the team. He was involved as well. So again, that'll probably put him in goodstead for Saturday. Maybe a place on the bench. We'll have to wait and see on that one. And another right back that we have been linked with this summer and we know there's been there has been some interest in the player because his manager said so is Alysa Johnson from Celtic. He is now facing a race to be fit for the Champions League qualifier next week with many outlets saying that he he will be out for longer than that. It was believed that Celtic was trying to keep hold of the player for to at least that Champions League game to help Celta qualify for the Champions League. you know, it's a bit of a make or break game for them. Um, but it looks like he's not going to be involved. Now, obviously, their season's already started in the Scottish Premier League. So, dis just disappointing all around for them. You know, whether Evan were going to go back for the player, don't know. Maybe again relies on other targets, but he's going to be missing. So, maybe if Evan were looking at him that this might um rule that out as well, but we'll have to wait and see. There you go. That has been all of your news for today.
