Video summary
The latest news from Nintendo focuses on several significant updates and announcements regarding their upcoming console, known as the Switch 2. A major highlight is the confirmed arrival of *Monster Hunter Wilds* for the new system, with data mining suggesting it will run at dynamic resolutions between 720p and 1440p depending on whether the device is in handheld or docked mode. Additionally, long-awaited titles like *Diablo IV*, which is expected to launch around September 15th or 18th, and *Minecraft* are set for release on October 27th. The Minecraft update promises enhanced lighting, shadow effects, and support for the popular Super Mario Mashup Pack, with a digital upgrade path available for existing Switch owners. Other notable additions include *Attack on Titan Part III*, arriving in December from developer Omega Force, and an optimized version of *Final Fantasy XIV* that Square Enix is actively patching to resolve specific long-loading time issues found during instance transitions.
Beyond game releases, the video covers important developments regarding hardware accessories and software features exclusive to the Switch 2 ecosystem. Nintendo has confirmed two unique capabilities: a second-generation HD Rumble feature and a dedicated mouse mode for PC-style navigation. Currently, no third-party controllers can replicate these functions, but Nixie has become the first company to successfully mimic both modes in their Joy-Con replacements. On the software front, *Xenoblade Chronicles 2* received an update acknowledging minor bugs related to accessory slot reduction under specific Amiibo scanning conditions and quieter background music during battles; Nintendo assured players that these issues are being fixed without any loss of progress or items. The ESRB also released a rating for *Spiritfarer*, confirming its release on the new console with content descriptors for language, tobacco use, and violin references.
The transcript concludes by addressing broader industry news alongside some controversial stories involving former employees. A class-action lawsuit was filed against the Pokémon Company following an arrest of a former employee who installed hidden cameras in various locations, including Starbucks and company facilities, to film people without consent; while this individual's actions were condemned as disgusting, the legal action targets the company for failing to protect visitors between 2017 and July 25th. In corporate news, Electronic Arts was acquired by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) in a deal valued at approximately $55 billion, moving the publisher private after thirty-six years despite concerns over added debt and potential layoffs. The video also looked back on historical context regarding *The Legend of Zelda: Oracle* games, revealing that Capcom developer Yoshiki Okamoto threatened Nintendo with releasing an unauthorized port if they refused to allow a Game Boy Color version, which ultimately led to the creation of both titles in 2001. Finally, upcoming events like PAX West will feature major publishers such as Konami and Atari bringing their latest games for hands-on previews, while Sonic Team teased more surprises ahead of the franchise's thirty-fifth anniversary.

Well, folks, we're giving away a
Nintendo Switch 2 right now. You can
enter through the link down in the pin
comment or the description. The only
requirement to enter is that you are
subscribed to the channel. Today, folks,
we have a bunch of news to get to. Man,
I know it feels like it's been a while
cuz it has. And maybe we'll talk about
that a bit towards the end, but you know
what? Today, we got to get to the news.
We have a lot to go over. So, we have
some updates coming to Xenolade 2,
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition from Nintendo.
They made that announcement today. Uh,
more than that though, there's a really
interesting story about former punk
Pokemon Company employee uh, who got
arrested for hiding cameras in
bathrooms. Really, really weird. And
there's like a actually big class action
lawsuit going on about it. Uh, more than
that, we found out that not only is
Monster Hunter Wilds coming to Switch,
too. It's something we've basically had
confirmed for quite some time. More data
mines have come out and now we might
have an idea of how well the game's
performing. And yes, I said well, not
how terribly it's performing.
That's kind of crazy when you consider
how not well Monster Hunter Wilds runs
on pretty much anything else. Uh, next
up we have a ESRB uh rating come out for
Spirit Farer Switch to Edition. We're
going to go over some details on that
front. Uh, we have uh Nixie coming out
with a the ability to mimic mouse mode
and stuff like that and HD rumble. So,
we're going to look at that about
accessories they have coming featuring
that. Uh, we do have an announcement for
PAX West. We don't have the full
exhibitor list yet, but we do have
Konami and Elimin who they're going to
bring along with some featured
exhibitors. Nintendo's not among them,
but Nintendo usually isn't, so not
really a big deal. The full list will be
coming out soon. Uh, more than that, uh,
Attack on Titan is going to be coming to
Switch, too. We got to talk about that.
Uh, Capcom actually, uh, a former Capon,
anyways, uh, said that well, Nintendo
kind of threatened them when it came to
Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Ages. So, I
we got to get over that cuz that's
really interesting going back in time
for that story. Uh, Electronic Arts was
sold. Uh, so we're going to go over
that. Uh, more than that. Uh, Diablo I 4
reportedly is coming out uh, fairly
soon. Uh, we have some updates on the
Sonic anniversary, the 35th anniversary.
Uh, Square Enix is actually going to be
uh, doing some updates here for Final
Fantasy 14 for Switch 2, which some
people are already really happy with.
And hey, Minecraft Switch 2 Edition is
finally on its way. We got to go over
that. So, a lot to get into. Uh, let's
go ahead and just jump into our first
story. First one here we have Nintendo
coming out here uh for the one of their
Japanese accounts saying we have
received multiple inquiries regarding
the issue in Xenolade 2 Nintendo Switch
2 edition where the accessory equipment
slots are reduced from three slots to
two slots as a result of our
investigation. We have confirmed that
this occurs under the following
conditions. You're using the accessory
expansion kit, which can be exchanged
for bonus XP from the bard of battle
that appears in the field after advanced
new game. And the equipment slots are
set to three slots. In the menu, go to
system, amiibo, scan an amiibo, and
obtain a bonus WP. This does not occur
if you obtain anything other than the
bonus WP. The accessories themselves
equipped in the vanish slots will not
disappear. Additionally, we have
confirmed an issue where the BGM during
battles is quieter. That's the
background music, right? So, currently
we are preparing an update to fix these
issues. We'll provide further notice as
soon as the distri
We will provide further notice as soon
as the distribution date we will provide
further notice as soon as the
distribution date is determined. We
apologize for inconvenience and trouble
this has caused to our customers. Now, I
don't have the Switch 2 edition, but I
have seen some people talking about it
online, and for the most part, people
seem to be very, very pleased with the
Xenolade Chronicles 2, uh, you know,
Switch 2 edition. And look, guys, this
stuff, uh, yeah, it's a little bit
annoying, but honestly, kind of minor
bugs in the grand scheme. Nintendo games
are usually pretty polished. They're
going to get this taken care of, and
look, you're not losing any items. So,
it's more so, hey, if this bothers you,
it's only one certain condition it pops
up, they're going to get it fixed. at
the background music being a little
lower during battles than it was in the
original game. They're going to get that
fixed. Pretty minor stuff. Uh but let's
go ahead and get to our next story. And
that one has to do with this weird story
about a former Pokemon Company employee
hiding cameras in bathrooms. Wait till
you find out why they were doing it. So,
former Pokemon Company employee was
arrested for hiding cameras in
bathrooms. 44year-old Ben Sai, a former
Pokemon Company employee, has been
arrested following accusations of hiding
cameras in a Starbucks bathroom in order
to film customers and staff without
consent. That's just disgusting.
Anyways, after a talk with police, Sai
admitted to hiding cameras in multiple
locations, including Starbucks, Safeway,
in his own home, and in more locations.
Altogether, police have confiscated six
hidden and remotec controlled cameras
and the footage is being analyzed to see
if people were filmed without consent.
Sigh's activities were discovered thanks
to Starbucks manager who found one of
the cameras hiding in a sink drain pipe
which was pointed directly at the
toilet. Sy told police he hit cameras no
more than 50 times and it's been
confirmed that he's been doing this as
far back as 2017. When pushed about his
reasoning, Sai said he was mainly
curious about transgender people and was
not attracted to children. Pokemon
Company was the last location Sai listed
as a place of employment. When contacted
about the situation, Pokemon Company
said Sai no longer works for the company
and the company is cooperating with law
enforcement. Now, here's the big update
here. Pokemon Company is actually
involved in a class action lawsuit
following the situation as a former
employee claimed Pokemon Company failed
to protect workers and visitors. The
lawsuit aims to represent anyone who
used the bathrooms at Bell, Washington
office between 2017 and July 25th, 2026.
Now, I don't know where the class action
lawsuit is going to go. I don't know a
whole lot of information about I dug
into it. There's not a lot out there.
Pretty much what that update said is
what's being sued. Uh the Pokemon
Company, obviously, there, you know,
some concerns about them not maybe
protecting people. Of course, look, I'm
not going to blame the Pokemon Company
directly for one bad faith actor doing
some absolutely disgusting, gross ass
The excuse of saying I just am
curious about transgender. What are you
curious about? Some of them have
penises, some of them don't. What is
there to be curious about? Oh,
I don't like kids. Look, you think I
believe for a second? Like, why are you
even bringing up? Oh, it wasn't to look
at children. It was just for curiosity
about trans. What kind of curiosity
about transgender couldn't you just find
out on the internet with some simple
Google searches? I'm going to be honest.
This is one of the most disgusting
stories I've ever had to the
unfortunate, you know,
I guess need to talk about. I'm really
grossed out. This is an extremely
disgusting thing. Um I mean, I think the
guy should be in prison, but I look,
this is Japan. I don't really know all
the laws there, but he's been doing this
for a long time. I mean, it's 2026. nine
years. So, yeah, he did it at the
Pokemon Company, did it at Starbucks,
did a bunch this is this is disgusting.
Uh, it's probably an addiction. And, uh,
I guess technically nobody was hurt.
I
This is so gross. I We got to move on. I
can't I can't even think about this
story anymore. All right. Uh, next up,
we have some really interesting stuff
about Monster Hunter Worlds through a
new data mine. So, it says Nintendo
Switch 2 Wilds. So, Mount Central Wilds
potentially running at 1080p to 1440p
docked in 720p to 864p handheld. Now,
they have all the evidence here, the
screenshots and stuff from all of the
stuff showing it off. And so, I think
you guys can understand that from the
images, but if it isn't obvious enough,
Twitch 2 Wilds is likely running at a
dynamic resolution targeting the value
shown in the images. Since they updated
the dynamic resolution uh enums to add
new ones at 30 to 40 fps low, those seem
to be related to this. Also, maybe the
underscored is shorter for docked. Not
100% sure, but it makes sense to me.
They also added enums to check Nintendo
Switch online. That's cool, right? Don't
ask me about the stuff in the images. I
was forced to add that. All right, guys.
So, really interesting stuff. I am just
going to point out here that uh if it is
if there is a 40 FPS mode, that does
suggest the game can actually run fairly
reliably at 30 FPS, which is kind of
wild because it's been hard to sometimes
hit that on some other platforms. So,
one thing we do know is it's the RE
engine, and the RE engine has worked
really, really well on Switch 2. But
more than that, we also know that, hey,
uh, people get surprised over and over
again at what the Switch 2 can handle.
And one thing that companies absolutely
have to do on Switch 2 is optimize,
optimize, optimize. They're also
probably using DLSS. So, guys, uh, we're
just going to have to wait and see.
Obviously, uh, we need footage, we need
everything. Uh, don't know if it's even
coming out this year. might be something
they wait till early next year. But hey,
it is pretty cool. You know what's also
pretty cool? Our next story about Spirit
Farer. So, it got rated by the ESRB and
we're going to go over a little bit of
the rating summary here. Spirit Farer
Nintendo Switch 2 edition is rated T14
by the ESRB with language, use of
tobacco, and violin references. This is
an adventure game. Look, we don't need
to go over. We know what Spirit Farer
is. Obviously, we're not going to get
any um you know,
performance metrics here, but hey, it's
coming to Switch 2. We don't know when,
but that is really, really exciting.
Next up is really exciting for
thirdparty accessories because Nintendo
has a couple unique features on the
Switch 2. First off, the second version
of HD Rumble that no one's been able to
mimic yet. And third off, uh, how about
mouse mode? Not everyone's been able to
mimic that either. So, we get over to
Nixie, one of the number one accessory
makers out there, in my opinion anyways,
based on my experience with it during
the Switch era. Nixie becomes a first
third party on Switch to replicate mouse
mode and HD Rumble 2. So Nixie is a
third party accessory maker that makes
controllers. Okay, we know all that and
uh let's get to what they did. So there
are plenty of thirdparty switch
controllers out there, but you might be
surprised to learn that not a single one
manages to include mouse mode or HD
Rumble 2 support. It seems third parties
have been struggling to crack the code
on those features. But Nixie confirmed
they found success. That make them the
first third party Switch 2 controller
maker to release ones that support those
features. We don't have a release date
for the controller, but here you go. Oh,
you can kind of see a little video of it
in action here. Um, so yeah, they're
just showing off obviously their Joy-Con
replacements. You see they're kind of
mimicking the colors. You can see mouse
mode working there. Obviously, it's
really hard to kind of show off HD
rumble and stuff like that because uh,
you know, it's it's a handfield thing,
right? Anyways, new pictures have showed
up from Nintendo patents watch. Uh, we
can see some of the things they have
going on. Obviously, GameCube style with
little clear stuff going on. Obviously,
this is from an event. Um, you're seeing
some stuff going on. The headphone jack,
um, all this kind of stuff. So yeah,
guys, uh I'm really excited for this.
This does open the door to third party
JoyCons becoming more accessible. Uh
which obviously is nice to have in a
market where things are really
expensive. So there's actually a nice
market for third parties right now if
they can make some quality accessories
and undercut the Nintendo prices, which
again might be really hard. PCB prices
are apparently going to be going up soon
and the tech industry is a mess. All
right, guys. Well, let's talk about
games. Uh we got to talk about PAX West.
Look, the Nintend crew, Nintend podcast,
it's tonight. I am going to PAX West. So
is Thunder Stash. So is Gamebird. So is
Eric. And hey, our significant others,
Andre Restart's going to be there.
Fablam's going to be there. And so many
more. Uh, so we're already starting to
set our interviews. Uh, well, not
interviews, I should say, our meetings
with the companies that are going to be
there so we can play the games. And one
of those companies is Konami. So Konami
brings Metal Gear, Castlevania, and more
to PAX West. So the games they're
bringing to PAX West are going to be
Metal Gear. Uh that's going to be the uh
master collection volume 2. They're
going to end up bringing obviously
Castlevania Belmont's Curse. That's one
I'm interested in to check out for you
guys. I don't know if they'll have the
Nintendo Switch version there, but I'm
I'm going to be trying to see if they
do. Uh because if they do, I'd like to
report back to you guys. I know there's
some real concerns around like the
blurriness of that game. And plus, look,
despite that, is it actually still a
good Castlevania game? Well, I don't
really know, but going hands-on will
definitely help sort that out. And then
Silent Hill Townfall. Now, for my
purposes, covering that doesn't really
matter. It might come to Switch 2
eventually. I have no idea. So, I'll
probably end up going hands-on, but I
don't plan to make a video on it cuz um
right now it's not announced for Switch
2, right? But hey, that's really cool.
We're not done though because we have a
bit more packs announcements because
they have their featured exhibitor list
up. And we know Atari is going to be
there. Bandai Namco, that's a big one.
We're going to be playing their games
for sure. Uh games from Poland's going
to be there. Joy City, obviously,
Konami, as we mentioned, N Ocean Drive,
Riftbound, League of Legends trading
card game, of course, cuz yes, they do
have, you know, the whole uh tabletop
trading card game stuff going on there.
And obviously the uh Yukio, I think
that's supposed to be a really sure uh
studios. Uh but again, we don't have the
full list yet, so we're going to leave
it at that. Uh but yes, that is what is
going on with packs right now. I'm just
really excited to get there. Uh, next up
I just want to talk about Attack on
Titan 3 because we have a nice little
post here about I'm going to throw the
trailer up here. Releases on December
10th. So Koe Techmo and developer Omega
Force announced that Attack on Titan 3,
the latest installment in the Attack on
Titan action game series is coming on
December 12th or sorry, December 10th,
2026 for the Switch 2. Attack on Titan 3

Force's action game series depicting the
story of Attack on Titan from its survey
corpse beginnings to a dramatic

the historical events that shaped the

existing Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on
Titan 2 Final Battle save data will
receive additional in-game bonuses. Save
data must be stored on the same console
used to play Attack on Titan 3. Uh more
details will be shared at a later date.
So really excited for uh this game to
come over. Uh it looks really really
good and I haven't even watched the
anime so I already am interested. Maybe
this will get me into the anime if I
check it out. Next up, how about a
Capcom dev? Um, he threatened Nintendo
and it led to Oracle of Seasons and
ages. Wait, what? So, a story for the
ages here. Uh, we've seen Nintendo
partner with numerous companies over the
years for mainline Zelda series, but
let's just go all the way back in time.
Uh, Capcom had to go to extreme lengths
to make these Zelda games a reality.
Discovered in a 1999 issue of German
magazine Total, Capcom's Yoshiki Okamoto
revealed the story of how Zelda Oracle
of Agents and Seasons came to be. Now,
this is something that's never been
translated and we haven't seen before,
at least in the English world. Now,
apparently, the whole thing started off
with Okamoto's desire to port the
original Legend of Zelda to the Game Boy
Color, which Nintendo shot down. This
led to somewhat of an argument with a
rather heated exchange. I especially
like Zelda 1, but Nintendo wouldn't port
it to Game Boy Color. So, I told Mr.
Miiamoto I'd produce it myself, but we
couldn't come to an agreement. So, in
the end, I threatened him. I said, "Hey,
if Nintendo's not up for it, we'll
release an identical game with different
characters and just call it something
else." You know, Nintendo did not like
that. But as the interview was just
text, it's hard to read exactly how the
situation played out, the tone, all of
that. I have to imagine that this threat
was just a bit of playful banter back
and forth. So, I hope. But we don't know
for sure. Whatever the case, it's clear
the argument that Okamoto made
eventually got Miyamoto on board and
gamers got to experience both Oracle of
Ages and Seasons in 2001. So just a
really really cool story looking back in
time. Uh it's always nice to get some of
those updates.
You know what's also well I don't know
if I don't know if this is nice that
layoff seem to be happening but
Electronic Arts uh was sold. So
Electronic Arts completes its
acquisition deal. It's officially owned
by the Saudi Arabia PIF. So EA confirmed
in September 2025 that it was going to
be acquired by the group of private
investors including Saudi Arabia's
sovereign wealth fund PIF in a deal
valuing the company around 55 billion.
Now the company has announced a deal has
been completed meaning it goes private
after 36 years and now is fully owned by
an investor consortium comprised of PIF
Silverlake and Affinity Partners. The
PIFF or otherwise known as the public
investment fund is the sovereign wealth
fund of Saudi Arabia and is reportedly
central to Crown Prince Muhammad's bin
Salman's goal of making the Saudi
economy less reliant on the proceeds
from oil. The fund already owns billions
of stock and other video game companies
such as Take 2 and owns other companies
such as SNK 3 months after the initial
announcement was made. A filing
confirmed that Piffwood would own 93.4%.
So they're basically the primary owner
of the company. Silver Lake Partners, an
investment run by a US global private
equity firm based in Silicon Valley,
owns about 5.5% of shares according to
the filing. Finity Partners obviously
has the rest. Uh in a statement, EA uh
chairman Andrew Wilson said this. This
moment recognizes the extraordinary
people whose creativity, ambition, and
passion have made EA one of the world's
leading interactive entertainment
companies. We're entering the next
chapter from a position of strength.
We're just going to stop there because
uh this purchase actually added $18
billion dollar in debt to EA and now
stories are breaking out that they're
about to do layoffs. So
ah the modern AAA video game industry is
so wonderful, isn't it? So we're just
going to leave it at that because
obviously you're going to see a bunch of
fluff words from Saudi Arabia and fluff
words from Andrew Wilson. Meanwhile,
they're about to fire a bunch of people
because in order for this deal to work,
they had to take on significant debt.
Let's go to A POSITIVE STORY. DIABLO I
coming to Switch 2. So, the long-
awaited Switch 2 version of Diablo I is
reportedly coming in September.
Interesting month. So, Deal Labs, Bill
Cunn, he is very reliable. Who has an
extremely lengthy and accurate record of
leaking hardware and software news
before it's officially announced that
the game is indeed nearing completion on
Switch 2. According to the insider, the
Switch 2 port of Diablo IV will be
released on either September 15th or the
18th. Cannot yet guarantee which of the
two is correct, but the release will
definitely be on one of those two dates.
The game will be available at a price of
$70 essentially and reportedly will have
a physical release. Uh but it will be a
code in box rather than a cartridge or
game key card. I always hate when they
call games a physical release and then
it's a code in box. It's look at least
like the game key card. I I don't really
consider that physical either, but at
least there's something physically in
the box you can touch and hold. I guess
you can argue there's a card inside the
box. It's physical with a code on it.
So, I guess you could touch it all, but
come on. It's a digital copy. It just
comes with a plastic box. All right.
Anyways, it's not yet confirmed whether
the Switch 2 version will include the
Lord of Hat DLC or whether there'll be a
separate purchase. While Biblical hasn't
stated when the official announcement is
likely to be, they suggested it might
happen during Gamescom, which makes a
lot of sense uh to have that
announcement at Gamescom. So, we'll have
to wait and see what happens with Diablo
I, but it's really exciting times. All
right, next up, Sonic Baby. Sonic Team
Boss says, "More surprises are coming
for Sonic's 35th anniversary." Here's
the exact quote. Some announcements have
already been made while other surprises
will need to remain secret for a little
longer. I know that Sonic fans are
extremely observant, so I must be
careful to not provide any unintended
clues. It's a good It's probably really
good to do that. Zelda fans are that way
as well. Mario fan, dude, a lot of fan
bases are very observant. So, uh, yeah,
look, more is going to happen. what that
more is. It's just your guess. Now, one
game has happened. Uh I believe there's
even a free trial for it. Final Fantasy
14 is now available on Switch 2, but
there is a little bit of an issue. The
loading times are kind of crazy. So,
Square Enix says it's fixing the long
loading times in the new Switch 2
version of Final Fantasy 14. So, the
Switch 2 version of the game launched on
Tuesday, bringing the MMO RPG to
Nintendo players for the first time.
While the general feedback from players
on the Switch 2 version has been
positive, some noted that there's some
weird situations where loading times are
unusually long. Square Enix has now
confirmed it's aware and has listed some
of the specific situations. So when the
screen fades to black or a battle phase
transition, uh when the teleporting to a
different map and instance duty, when
the screen fades to black, blah blah. So
you can see like there's some there's
some issues here. Uh and they said, you
know, it's pinpointed the reason that
it's having a long loading there and
they're testing a fix for it right now.
We have confirmed that the Switch 2
version, the loading time may take
longer than usual and the screen fades
to black in instance duties. A statement
from the official Final F Fantasy 14
site reads, "Our investigation has
confirmed that when a player enters an
instance duty while surrounded by many
characters, loading data will take
longer than usual, which lasts until the
player leaves the instance. We have
identified certain cases in which data
reloading and cache clearing processes
required for safe rendering are taking
an extended amount of time. As such,
these processes have been optimized to
ensure faster data loading even under
similar conditions. An updated version
is currently in testing. We're working
to release an update as soon as possible
to address this and several other
issues. We apologize for the
inconvenience and appreciate your
understanding in the meantime. But yeah,
guys, look, they uh this version's
actually been widely praised. A lot of
people are really enjoying it. But yeah,
that is like the one bugaboo of long
load times in certain situations. Uh and
look, they're going to deal with it.
Now, we get to our final story. This is
one that's going to make a lot of people
happy. It's a really popular game.

for owners. It'll probably cost like $5
$10. I don't know. Uh or maybe it's a
free upgrade. I have no idea. Details on
that later. Really happy they're going
to allow that. And you know what, guys?
I got to get going. This is a long
video. We got a podcast. This video is
dropping like maybe even as the podcast
is happening.
Thank you guys for being here. We'll
catch you in the next one.
Heat. Heat.
