Video summary
SoFi stock delivered a remarkably strong performance today, rising 4.3% and briefly touching $1875 before consolidating near its close at $1842. This positive momentum occurred alongside a broader market rally where major indices like the Dow and S&P 500 gained ground, while the VIX index dropped significantly by 6%. Although the stock faced intraday volatility and slipped toward the end of regular trading hours, it has since recovered in the aftermarket to reach $1855. The analyst notes that SoFi has successfully held its gains since a major post-earnings move in late July and early August, effectively testing significant resistance levels at $1850 and $19 that have acted as barriers for several months.
The technical setup for SoFi is described as promising, with the stock potentially forming a "cup and handle" pattern that could lead to a breakout soon. The speaker emphasizes that while the market is approaching this critical breakout zone, confirmation has not yet been achieved, so investors should remain cautious about getting overly excited before the move is validated. If the stock were to break through the $19 resistance level, the analyst predicts a rapid fill of the gap between $23 and $25, suggesting that the current consolidation phase might be nearing its end and setting the stage for a significant upward surge once the key technical hurdles are cleared.
Beyond SoFi, the video highlights a dramatic short squeeze in Moderna stock, which surged an incredible 180% in a single day following breakthrough news regarding its cancer vaccine clinical trials. This massive rally was fueled by a combination of positive fundamental developments and heavy short interest that forced covering by investors, pushing the price from around $60 to nearly $94 during the session. While the speaker expresses admiration for this textbook short squeeze and acknowledges the potential for further gains if regulatory approvals continue to come through, they advise against buying at current highs, suggesting instead that a pullback might offer a better entry point or an opportunity to trade puts once the momentum fades.
The market overview also touched on other sectors, noting that crypto-related stocks, software companies, and major tech giants like Apple performed well, with Apple approaching new all-time highs above $320. Conversely, several artificial intelligence and cloud computing stocks faced selling pressure today, including CoreWeave and Nebius, which saw significant declines. The speaker reflects on missed opportunities to buy puts on these falling AI stocks but warns against chasing the trade now that they have already dropped substantially, predicting a potential snapback rather than a continued collapse. Overall, the day was characterized by divergent movements across different sectors, with biotech and traditional tech leading the gains while specific AI plays struggled, creating a mixed but generally bullish sentiment for the broader market.

So, SoFi stock had a pretty strong day
today, guys, as three of the four major
indices in the United States also had
green days, right? The VIX went down 6%.
We had Bitcoin up, gold, silver, oil,
pretty much everything went up except
for the cues, guys. So, we have to break
down SoFi, the markets, the charts,
where my head's at, what I'm looking to
do. You guys know the drill. So, hit the
like button. Make sure to subscribe.

And now, cheers. Got my good old water
today. No more coffee for me today,
guys. I appreciate you all for tuning
in. And let's dive into it. So, SoFi had
a 4.3%
green day today and we hit 1875 earlier
in the day. So, at one point we were up
what about 6%. Uh so, SoFi ripped in the
pre-market at open and then we pulled
back midday and kind of consolidated
into close and now we're up even more in
the aftermarket. We closed at$1842
and now we're at 1855 in the aftermarket
up around another 1% 3/4 of a percent
1%. So SoFi had a pretty good day today
as every index in the US market was up
except for the NASDAQ. Like I said, the
Russell went up half a percent. Dow and
the S&P each went up around a quarter
percent. So it wasn't a crazy green day.
Uh but it was one nonetheless. And one
point worth mentioning is SPY, the Dow,
the Russell, pretty much all these
indices. Even though we had a nice green
day, um we were up even more earlier.
You know, we actually sold off for a
good chunk of the day on the intraday
chart. You guys see it, a lot of the
green came earlier. And if we held those
gains, we would have had an even crazier
um green day obviously, right? Uh but we
slipped into close and still held on at
the end of the day as the VIX went down
6%. And going back over here to SoFi
stock, we closed at 1840. By no means
are we out of the woods yet, but we
continue to test major resistances. And
here we are again, guys. We can see on
the 1 hour time frame, $1850, $1875,
$19. This has been resistance since the
beginning of this month for SoFi. And
the good thing is we've held pretty much
18 bucks all month. I It's not like we
popped into August, which we did, you
know, late July, early August. It's not
like we popped into August and then lost
all the gains like SoFi has been doing.
It can't hold any gains. We actually
popped into August and we've been
holding the gains, you know, from that
big move post earnings, which we
initially lost, uh, you know, the stock
lost value after earnings and then we
got a lot of buying pressure to push it
from 1480 back to $18. So, this looks
pretty good, man. price action wise. The
fact that we've been consolidating and
the fact that uh you know today we had a
four or 5% green day leads me to believe
uh you know we're potentially putting in
a bottom here and approaching the
breakout spot again and we might
actually break out sooner rather than
later, but we're not actually breaking
out yet. So keep that in mind. We
haven't gotten the confirmation yet, but
the key word there is um yet, right?
Keep that in mind. And we can see $1850,
$19 not only has been resistance um the
last couple of days, but you guys know
the last couple of months. Everybody
knows that at this point. And now that
we're testing 1850, 19 bucks again,
we're testing the multimonth resistance
uh from back in all the way from back in
February, right? And at this point,
we've just been consolidating all year.
You guys all know that. There's no need
for me to say that. You know that. And
each time it gets close to 19, we get
excited. We get, you know, we're we're
ready for the breakout and eventually it
will break out. But, uh, you know, we've
been disappointed many times. So, we
can't get our hopes up way too much. Uh,
because, you know, obviously, like I
said, we're not confirming the breakout
quite yet, but it could be coming. It
could be coming. And this is the spot to
watch. We have a cup and handle arguably
in the making here on SoFi. 19 needs to
break, 20 needs to break. And I just
have a feeling if that happens, in my
opinion, um when that happens, we're
going to see this stock uh fill the gap
to $25 pretty quick. $23 to $25. I think
it makes that move um fairly quickly,
right? So, SoFi, set your alerts. Get
ready. I'm long. I'm waiting to add more
on the actual breakout. I'm waiting for
that confirmation, guys. Let me know
your thoughts in the comments as always.
And hit that like button. Make sure to
subscribe, hit that follow button if you
haven't done so already. I appreciate
you all for tuning in as always. So,
with that being said, let's talk about
Moderna today, which saw Oh my gosh,
guys. Merna saw a squeeze that I haven't
seen in years. Um, you know, listen, I'm
sure there have been short squeezes
maybe on smaller companies that I
missed. Uh, but Mera, I mean, I I forget
the market cap. It can't be that small.
I mean, yeah, it's collapsed since co.
Uh, but man, this stock was at 20, 30
bucks a couple months ago, back in the
end of 2025, early 26, and just a couple
days ago, we were at $60, and this stock
went up 180% today, right? Talk about
shorts getting blown out. Talk about a
squeeze here. And this comes after very
good um news regarding a clinical trial
um associated with their can uh not
canine. I I mixed those two words
together together their cancer vaccine,
right? We got some good news out of that
with Merc um which we're not going to go
too deep into in this video. uh but
there was a huge breakthrough with
Moerna's cancer vaccine uh you know and
this caused the broader biioarma rally
today and obviously the short squeeze in
uh MOA so this is very good news for MOA
and you guys know when it comes to
biotech companies
these pharma companies uh whatever you
want to call them you know they're one
trial away they're one regulatory
approval away they're one you you know,
phase, you know, next phase in the trial
away from the stock going berserk.
They're one um, you know, approval away
this, that, [clears throat] and today,
today was that day for OA. Um, combine
the fact that we got some breakthrough
news regarding that cancer vaccine.
Combine that with the fact that it was
heavily shorted and shorts had to cover,
they were forced to cover, that's what
got this type of move. And it just kept
going up and up and up throughout the
day. It's actually up even more in the
aftermarket. I mean, this is this is a
short squeeze, guys. Textbook, man. This
thing. And yeah, it would have went up
even if there weren't many shorts in the
stock, but it wouldn't have went up this
much. 180%, guys. Unbelievable. And we
closed at 174 and it hit 194 in the
aftermarket, up another 12%. Um, so MOA,
I would not touch it here. Listen, I
would not buy it here. Uh, but I'm
watching it. And when things fizzle off
or fizzle out, maybe it's maybe it might
be time to buy some puts on MA. I don't
know, man. A pullback's got to be
coming. Uh, but it might be a little too
early to play that. Let's let it ride a
couple more days. Let's see what it's
able to do. Um, so that's a quick
rundown on Mera on SoFi.
Let's see what else did well. A lot of
stocks did well today. I mean, we
covered these earlier. The the crypto
stocks, software did pretty well today.
Uh the Robin Hoods, the Coinbase, the
CRM, Adobe, Service Now's all did pretty
well today. Uh the Palunteers, the big
techs, I mean, Apple's now back at 316.
It looks like sure looks like Apple's
starting to break back through. I knew I
should have bought some. I knew I should
have bought some at 300. I didn't. Um
now we're already pushing 320. I mean,
that would have been a good trade in and
of itself, four or 5%. It is what it is.
It's probably going to break through now
and go to all-time highs again. You you
guys know how that goes. But Apple had a
great day. Amazon, big tech, you name
it. What was down today? A lot of these
a lot of these AI stocks, you know, the
the Neoclouds, some of the optics plays,
some of the picks and shovels, space
stocks got hit today. Uh GLW got hit 5%.
Nebius went down a good chunk 9 10%.
Coreeave got uh squashed which I'm
kicking myself guys. I was literally
about to buy puts on Coreweave and
Nebius for that matter but Nebius
spooked me a little bit. Um you know if
I bought puts on Nebus I would have had
to held or I would have had to hold
through one uh one painful day. Now it's
collapsing. So, I I would have made
money, but Corweave was the safer play,
quote unquote, for puts and I was
watching them at 105 110 on Core Weeave.
I was so freaking close um to taking
that trade. Now we're at 90. Should
have, would have, could I would have
made money on it. Uh now, now the
mistake I would make is chasing that
trade, buying put on coreweave now. Um
when it's already flushed out a lot of a
lot of sellers, I feel like that would
not be the right move. you know, it
could go lower, but a snapback is way
more likely now um with this flush out.
So, the NEO clouds are down, but I don't
think for much longer, honestly. Man, I
think we'll get a snapback there. Um
Nvidia slipping, which I'm not
surprised. We'll cover that maybe in
another video. Uh but for now, that's
it. Hit the like button, guys. Let me
