Video summary
The video documents a disastrous attempt by a content creator to relax hair that had already been bleached at home, a practice widely condemned by the narrator as extremely dangerous. The subject's primary motivation was to achieve finger waves, which required straightening her short, coily, and previously lightened strands. Despite warnings about severe breakage and the risk of going bald, she proceeded with a strong relaxer formula that was explicitly labeled for non-bleached hair. The process immediately went wrong, as the chemical treatment caused her already damaged ends to snap off rapidly within minutes of application, leaving large bald patches on her scalp while the remaining hair felt unnaturally soft and mushy due to total structural failure.
The situation escalated further when the creator attempted to bleach her hair again just two weeks after relaxing it, compounding the damage by using high-volume developer on fragile, porous strands that were already stripped of nutrients. The bleaching process resulted in uneven color, leaving her with a mix of orange and red tones instead of the desired blonde, while simultaneously causing more significant breakage near the crown where hair was layered on top of itself. Even after applying toner to neutralize the brassiness, the compromised ends refused to hold any color, remaining yellow or orange because their cuticles were blown open beyond repair. The narrator repeatedly points out that mixing relaxing and bleaching processes so closely together destroys the disulfide bonds in the hair cortex, leading to irreversible damage.
In a desperate attempt to salvage the look, the subject applied a bright fuchsia dye over the damaged, multi-toned mess, hoping to cover up the bald spots with styling products like gel and finger waves. While the final result appeared shiny and colorful on camera, masking the extensive hair loss underneath, the narrator expresses deep concern for the long-term health of her scalp and hairline. The video concludes with a strong advisory against DIY chemical treatments on compromised hair, emphasizing that while the subject seems satisfied with the pink color, the underlying damage is severe enough to warrant cutting the hair off or starting over completely to prevent further loss.

Would you ever put relaxer on hair that
has already been bleached? I hope the
answer is no. Hi, beautiful. People are
relaxing bleached hair. No matter how
many times we see it go wrong, they keep
doing it. So, expect a lot of breakage.
Let's see how this relaxer [ __ ] all
plays out, shall we?
>> I remember saying I was ready to start
breaking my hair and now I'm thinking I
want to relax my hair.
>> This title says I bleached my hair at
home and it almost went wrong. How
almost? Just show me what we're working
with. Okay. I told myself I was going to
make finger waves. So like this is an
opportunity for me to make my hair to do
finger waves before. To make finger
waves.
>> Okay. She's trying to relax her hair in
order to do finger waves. Got it. Okay.
Slay.
>> Before I start braiding, I got
everything I need. Steaming cap. [music]
I have mayonnaise. I have my relaxers.
And I have Vaseline, my shampoo and
conditioner.
>> We have hair mayonnaise, which I think
is just a concoction of very hydrating
products. I don't know exactly, but I
think that's what it is. And we also
have our hair relaxer, obviously, which
we need to relax the hair. And again,
she has bleached hair, so take that into
consideration. We haven't seen it yet,
but it's bleached because that's what it
says in the title.
>> Obviously, my hair is bleached. And a
part of me keeps telling me that this is
going to make me go wild. But let's see
if we wouldn't go out.
>> No,
no,
no. She said, "People have been telling
me this is going to make me go bald, but
let's see if I don't go bald." She has a
centimeter of hair, except it is quite
coily, so I'm sure it's probably like 2
in long, 1 in long, but it's kind of
curled up right now. And yeah,
obviously. Also, to do the finger wave
she wants, she's going to need to relax
it. That would help a lot. But those
ends are white. If those stay on her
head, I will be shocked. They are
definitely not going to. She's going to
break off half of her hair, I'm
guessing.
>> Remember, we're doing this on Inshah. I
don't know exactly how the outcome would
be. Before any relaxer touches my hair,
Vaseline first to protect our edges.
>> We got the Vaseline on to protect the
front of her head. But that's not even
what I'm worried about. I'm worried
about the rest of your head. Everything
else
>> started applying the locker on my head,
moving to the back, and then on my
brows. Apparently, we're supposed to
start relaxing our hair from behind,
moving forward. I don't know how true
that. [laughter]
>> We are relaxing our eyebrows. Don't
relax your eyebrows, please. I don't
think your eyebrows need relaxing. I
think they're just fine. Second of all,
this can make you go blind. You do not
want to get this near your eyes. This is
very, very, very strong. It literally
goes into the cortex of your hair and
[ __ ] rearranges that [ __ ] It is a very
intense hair treatment. Also, we're
using a comb. Combing this through would
be okay. Though, you know, you usually
prefer to use your fingers and kind of
go like this with relaxer. It's a little
more gentle and doesn't pull on like
individual hair strands at once. Kind of
puts the tension across the section
instead of like all over it. You know
what I mean? We definitely recommend
fingering it.
You get what I mean?
>> But this is moments before the disaster
happened.
>> Hold on. Let me just get my statement
out before I react to what the hell just
happened. When you're doing a relaxer,
make sure you comb it into a place you
want it to live forever or until your
hair grows out because it will. Okay, if
you comb it back, it's going to want to
go up all the time. You comb it down to
the sides, it's going to go down to the
sides all the time. And now back to
this. Her comb is filled with broken
hair and she's still going. Stop.
>> Okay, I think it's time to wash this off
because my hair already feels so soft.
And I promise you this hasn't been in my
hair for like even up to 5 minutes.
That's how soft my hair is. Oh my god. I
feel like I can see the blonde hair. I'm
going bald.
>> Yeah, you are going bald. You guys are
making me so sad and angry today. My
girl is going bald and she still has it
in [music] her head. Looks the brush.
She's like, I can actually see my hair
in there. I can see it all the WAY OVER
HERE. I'M NOT EVEN THERE. TIME to wrap
this up, babe. It is time to rinse.
Oh my god. I can't Jesus.
I need to wash this off like ASAP, guys.
Jesus. Jesus.
I'm going down. At this point, the
relaxer had not been on for 5 minutes
[music] and my hair was already soft.
Too soft. So sh I moved hot water to
dilute it, wash it out, save whatever I
can save. I wasn't even thinking at this
point. [music] I was just doing that. My
hair is gone. I knew this was meant to
happen.
>> Oh no.
[laughter]
Stop combing it. That hair was not
salvageable. Might as well keep combing,
I suppose, because that hair was not
going to stay on your head for another
24 hours. That was never going to dry.
She said, "Whatever." You know, it's
definitely falling off, but like kind of
expected that. And why did we do it?
>> I'm actually happy that blonde is the
only thing that is gone. Like, I'm not
bald. I'm genuinely [sighs]
I'm genuinely happy.
>> You're happy. You're bald.
>> Well, obviously, I don't really care
about what people think. So, like, I'll
be able to go out and all of that. It's
my bald hair. I'm genuinely happy that
I'm not bald. And this is the part where
I finally braid the L. that was out of
my hair. The blonde was gone [music] and
I still had hair on my head.
>> Okay, now she is neutralizing her hair.
The neutralizer literally stops the
chemical process. It also helps the
cuticle contract back down after it's
been swollen from that relaxer. So, it's
a really important step before we then
go and brush it. She went and brushed it
and then neutralized it. God damn. Don't
do that. The neutralizer will help this
hair recover a bit. I mean, I don't know
if it will stay on your head, but it
would help it recover.
>> Honestly, before I started, I was
scared. [music] There was this voice in
my head that was telling me I was going
to go ball. And in the middle, when I
saw my hair coming off, I was [music]
like, "Ah, so this is happening.
>> I don't know if I want to cry and crawl
into a ball or hit something like I
really don't know at this point. I just
feel for you. This has gotten out of
control.
>> I feel so bad. Oh, like this really
sucks. I wish everybody could have a
good hair day. You know, hair color and
relaxes are a very serious thing and I
hope she's still happy. Also, be nice to
everybody in today's video. I don't want
to hurt anybody's [music] feelings and
everybody's just living their best
lives. You know, not everybody knows how
to do their hair on their own and that's
okay. I'm here to teach. I don't want
anybody feel like they're being bullied
in my videos or the comment section. So,
just be nice, please. I had plans to
style the blonde part of my hair, but
I'm genuinely happy that it fell off
because school co is resuming soon and I
don't want to have any issues with any
lecturer because of the color of my
hair. Anyways, I used the shampoo that
came with the relaxer because
instruction was to use it till it turned
white and then I moved to using a
protein treatment on my hair cuz it was
important especially since the hair was
just relaxed.
>> Okay. I mean, I'm glad she's putting
some protein back in the hair. We needed
some nutrients.
>> Then I used a steam cap to steam the
hair for some minutes.
>> I wouldn't put a steamer on your head.
The steam on your head is made to make
your hair fiber swell up so that it can
really take on all that goodness in that
mask. Now, your hair fiber is already
blown open. We don't probably need more
heat. You're probably good where you
were. We want it to actually shrink
down. That would make it feel better at
this point. So, even like cold air would
be amazing for your hair.
>> Oh my god. I just left it in for 5
minutes. It's not hot. So, I guess I can
say I didn't leave it in for long, but I
hope I don't get any reaction cuz of
this. That will be very crazy. Hair has
been washed, has been deep conditioned.
Now, time to put in leave-in conditioner
because it's [music] important to leave
the hair hydrated and moisturized. How
shiny she looks and she looks healthy.
See you on the next one. Bye.
>> Okay, that is the final result. I mean,
you are so beautiful. Face cards giving
undeniably. Did we get the look that we
wanted? I think absolutely not. She
definitely wanted the blonde with the
finger waves. We got neither. And a
whole lot of damage for that. I'm going
to have to give you a mono media. That
was a tough watch for sure. I hope
you're okay though. I really do. Again,
you look beautiful.
>> This is matted boots. Shake your J.
Shake your J. If I perm my hair, is my
hair still going to grow? Cuz I should
do 13 to 15 minutes. Oh my god, she just
cut all those braids off so quickly.
That was like nothing. She was like,
"Cut this off my head immediately."
Damn. It's a big deal.
>> I'm going to do it while I watch my
repose by Grace. Excuse me.
>> We'll choose the wiz.
>> Okay, so we got the relaxer on the head.
Obviously, I see this a lot where people
will comb the relaxer back. We don't
want to do that cuz the hot spot it'll
create. We would rather comb it to where
it's going to live naturally. And
usually people are doing finger waves or
they are kind of putting a part in their
hair like similar to mine and you know
combing it down each side something with
a little bang. So it's never like back
like that. And even if you put it back
like that it's going to end up sticking
straight up at all times. It's not going
to be cute.
>> A huge chunk of my hair just came out.
So I'm going to go ahead and stop. We
got to go. We got to go.
>> Great. We're [clears throat] already
losing hair. Okay. That was [music]
quick.
Luckily, my hair did not fall out in the
shower. All glory be to God. I'm going
to go ahead and use my Olex bonding oil
in my hair just a little bit. I feel
like that was not on long enough.
However, this is a edited video, so I
don't really know how long it was on,
but that was quick. I'm glad it didn't
fully fall out, though, because there
was definitely hairs in that comb.
>> Just so that it has some protection from
the heat that I'm about to use in my
hair.
See, we are going for a parted moment. I
don't know why we be combing everything
back with a relaxer. Going to go in with
my So Slick by Draat and just define
some curls on my hair to make sure it
stays for the night. One side is done.
We're going to go ahead and try to do
this side, which is going to be the
hardest. Still kind of figuring out how
to do the finger waves. I'm just going
to like take my finger, take the comb,
and kind of just like swoop with my
finger.
>> Listen, the finger waves, they're a
little wavy, but I I agree. You're still
learning how to do finger waves. I love
doing finger waves, guys. If I could do
finger waves every day of [music] my
life, it'd be like my dream. I don't
know. In hair school, everybody hated
them. Hated them. Oh my god. All I
wanted to do every day is just go. It's
also kind of just like an S. When it
comes to short hair, all you got to do
is just make an S with the comb. It's
really not a whole thing. Just go like
this.
[music and applause]
>> I think that this looks pretty good for
like my third time doing this hairstyle.
What do you guys think?
>> Okay, I completely agree. For your third
time doing this hairstyle and all you
just did, you went from full-on braids
to this. I think it looks beautiful. You
look gorgeous. Would I like it to be a
little bit better than the finger waves
and a little bit more relaxed? I feel
like we didn't put the relaxer in long
enough. Actually, debatable actually.
Her hair was falling out to me. She
couldn't handle that much relaxer. But I
think you look very cute. And for that,
I'm going to have to give you a three on
the mono meter. Not quite there, but
close. And the technique doing the
relaxer was a little iffy. Yeah, a
little bit. I want to show you guys how
I bleach, [music]
relax and color my hair. I'll be
starting the process today by bleaching.
[music] Then next week I will do a relax
and color. Normally hair stylists or
beautyians would say that you should
wait 2 weeks after a bleach before you
can, you know, do a relaxer or a perm or
whatever is it that you call it. But I
normally wait a [music] week and it has
never been a problem. So, you know, I'm
going with that.
>> Okay, this clip we open up right to
everything going on. So, basically to
break it down, she is opening up bleach
powder and next to it we see 40 volume.
She has textured hair, which means her
hair is on the drier side. Her hair is
only about 1 in to 1 and 1/2 in long.
That means she does not need 40 volume.
Okay, we could have got away with 20. It
would have been perfect. 40 volume is
going to be very strong and it's going
to dry out her hair and we just don't
need it. That's going to cause a lot of
problems. So, she is applying this to
her hair obviously, but her hair is not
combed out, brushed out in any way,
shape, or form. It is glued to her head
with gel, it seems. I would not
recommend bleaching your hair when it is
glued down with gel. I would recommend
brushing it out before you start. That
way, you can section your hair properly,
get in between every section, and get
that hair evenly covered. That would
make me really happy, and I think that
would make your hair happy and you happy
with the outcome. This is not going to
be as pretty. You're definitely gonna
miss spots.
[music]
I mean, listen, she's definitely picking
up the hair sometimes. I'm just scared
she's going to use the back of the brush
to divide her hair, and that is going to
cause breakage. This is the other thing
with textured hair. Often times, it's
very fine and fragile in a lot of ways.
If you pull on it too hard, you're going
to snap it off. Okay? We got to worry
about our hairline most of the time,
guys. Hairlines are precious. You only
have one of them and they come and they
go. If you don't take good care of that
right here, gone. And it's already
starting to turn a little bit red. She
definitely has previous color on her
hair and a lot of it. I can tell it's
built up with color. Like there is box
dye on that hair or some permanent color
that is very dark. This is definitely
going to take a bit to remove.
>> This is how we are looking right now. I
did have a little bit of red in my hair.
So, I'm guessing that is why it looks
crazy right now. But I am hoping that I
would get a [music] blonde color. So,
let's see how it goes.
>> Oo, what? Babe, I hope for you as well,
but I don't have much hope. I mean,
could you get somehow lucky and this
will rinse out when you shampoo? Like,
all the dye molecules will come out of
your hair. I've seen it happen maybe
once in my life. Do I think that your
hair is still going to be red when you
rinse it? Yes, I think so. I believe so.
I mean, that's really red. There's a lot
going on there. She's trying to get some
blonde and then relax it. Ah.
>> So guys, this is what I'm looking like
right now.
Right, right, right, right. I'm laughing
with her. This is You're [ __ ] You're
[ __ ] I mean, if this happened on my
hair, I'd be like, "All right,
we definitely need to use some color
remover. We definitely definitely need
to do that because those dab molecules
are stuck in there." Bleach sometimes it
can do the job. Sometimes you need to
definitely prep it with color remover.
And this is one of those times prepping
with color remover would have been
great. You can also do it now. [music]
>> Even after you bleached it. Sometimes
they're just stuck in there and they
just need a little a little more nudge
to get out. But damn, that is bright as
I don't know how you're going to get
this out. You're definitely not going
to. Are you going to go red?
>> This was not my expectation, but I'm
going to have to do a second bleach and
see if I get to [music] the point where
I need to get at. Okay. Um, the roots
are okay.
>> Oh, right, right, right, right. A second
bleach. Yeah. You know what? Yeah, she's
screwed. She's screw. She's going to
bleach it again. Don't do that. At this
point, you might as well just go red.
And then we wait like a month and then
we try and go a little brighter.
Otherwise, you're going to compromise
the [ __ ] out of your hair. Ah.
>> Hi guys. Welcome back to my hair color
journey. Um, I did went ahead and do the
second bleach on that same day. I didn't
keep it in for very long cuz it started
to burn my scalp and all that stuff.
>> She did it the same exact day. She also
shampooed her hair and then put the 40
volume back on. That must have hurt so
badly. Ow. For real.
>> So, I got this, you know, peachish
orang-ish color. I have been wearing it
for the last week, but this is not what
I wanted initially, right? So, I mean,
it's cool, but I've worn it already. So,
you know, I just want to do the color
that I got. Um, I will make that
decision after I relax my hair.
>> This is peach. And that's not exactly
blonde. We have peach going on. We could
probably get to a decent blonde color.
If we did like a level seven first, a
neutral ash level seven, maybe with a
little bit of a green tint in it. That
way, the green cancels out the red and
then we deposit that extra ash and
neutral tone on top of it. We could
neutralize this. And then what happens
is you keep washing your hair and over
time it gets lighter and lighter and
usually the red doesn't start popping
out anymore because the green is on it
too. And those color molecules are going
head to head and making it look neutral.
That's the power of hair color, baby.
And being good at making formulas, you
know,
>> because once I relax it, it's going to
get lighter [music]
than it actually is right now.
>> Oh my god. I cannot believe we are about
to RELAX THIS HAIR. I MEAN, LIKE, I can
sort of believe it because we've seen
this play out many times before. For
some reason, girls with short hair, they
love to relax and bleach. But she's
going to do it. She's going to go for
it. And we're just going to go for just
a regular relaxer made for hair that is
not bleached. Well, no relaxers made for
hair that's bleached, but this is a very
strong one.
>> So, if I do like the color, I may keep
it. But like I said, I've worn this
already, so I would probably just do the
color that I chose. And I'm excited to
[music] try that color as well.
>> You know, girl, I support you. This
color is a no for you. I mean, go off.
Maybe if it was like a solid peach
color, I'd be here for it. But it's a
little random to me. The yellow roots
with the peach ends. I don't know. For
me, maybe not. You maybe.
>> If you want to see how my hair turned
out, then you better keep on watching.
>> I would love to see how your hair turned
out. Is it going to be on your head by
the end? I don't think so. But you could
get lucky. I don't know. I see here we
have dark and lovely. Now, funny thing
about Dark and Lovely is it says
literally on the box, "Do not use this
on bleached or highlighted hair."
Unfortunately, her hair is bleached. So,
I would not recommend doing that. I
mean, I would never recommend using
relaxer on bleached hair in the first
place, but especially not one that says
don't use this on bleached hair. Hello.
Oh, and we have fuchsia hair color.
Okay. Wo. All right. We're calling
fuchsia, baby.
>> Um, this is how I'm looking right now.
Like I did mention, once I relax, I do
the relax, [music] then it's going to
give you that blonde color. So, yes, it
did. But guys, look here.
You know, I put the relaxer in.
>> Oh my god.
[laughter]
Like I'm just being
[snorts]
used and abused. I feel like I'm just
being tossed around today. All right,
let me just do some, you know, things
around the house while my hair
processes. Jesus of mercy. What you
>> You broke your hair off. She seems even
calm for the fact that she broke her
hair off. I mean, that is gone. It's
gone, girl. She relaxed her hair off
camera, so I can't critique the way she
did it or anything, but she comes back
on camera. She has this more yellow
toned hair color, and she's like, "Yeah,
the relaxer made my hair blonde." Yeah,
because it stripped your hair of every
nutrient. And then you reform the bonds
in a straight pattern. That's a lot to
put your hair through. I mean, yeah, you
got your blonde dreams, but at what
cost? It's still not that blonde. It has
peach tones still in it. So, she seems
okay with the fact that she just went
bald on the side of her head. What the
hell?
>> In all my years of bleaching and
coloring, this has never happened to me
before. [music] I'm still going to apply
the color, but I don't know what I'm
going to do because I have somewhere to
go on Tuesday [music] and on Friday. If
you have somewhere to go in a few days,
you better drive to the wig store right
now or go to amazon.com. I mean, the
rest of her hair is mush. That hair is
not coming back to life. That is done.
No cute wig like this or a cubic like
that. Perfecto. Shave the head
underneath. Start over. [snorts]
Voila.
So,
look at the hair. Look at the hair. It's
such a nightmare breaking your hair off.
Like, when you're trying to grow your
hair out or trying to do anything fun to
your hair and then it just goes
completely south. That sucks so much. I
don't think there's something that sucks
more than that in life. Nope. Can't
think of one thing. We all know how long
hair takes to grow. And when you want it
to grow, it takes even longer. And then
you're just like, "What the fuck?" Like,
does my [ __ ] grow or not? and all of a
sudden it's 2 months later and your
hair's still not long cuz hair only
grows a half an inch a month. It sucks.
>> All right, so the color I'll be using is
Fuchsia by Kiss. [music]
So I'm just going to do that,
>> babe.
Get in my seat. What do you mean we're
going to go fuchsia now? We just went
through all of that just to color our
hair fuchsia. You could have just put
fuchsia over the orange. And if you
really want to do it right, you could
have canceled out with a little bit of
green, okay, as a pre-tononer. And then
put fuchsia over it. We didn't have to
bleach it so many times. Oh my god. By
the way, guys, she keeps on coloring her
scalp that is literally about to bleed.
[music] I mean, there has been so much
stuff on that scalp. I don't know how
she bleached it twice and then relax it
without her scalp literally being in
blisters. I don't know. This is a very
watery [music] pink color, I must say.
We did not section anything and we did
not comb anything which honestly at this
point I mean I would not recommend
combing her hair. Like I said I
recommend just shaving your head but
without combing this or sectioning. We
are not going to get this evenly on the
hair. I mean it is pretty liquidy so she
might get lucky but I don't think so.
>> All right. So this is how I'm looking
right now. My ball spots [music]
here and here.
>> Oh we did comb the hair. I would love to
see that comb because I feel like
there's a whole lot of hair stuck in it.
>> So, I'm going to do my regular waves.
Hopefully, this could cover up this and
I will be back.
>> This is where she just styles her hair.
I did notice that her hair is definitely
pink. So, that's a positive. Her hair is
pink. And we're going to try and cover
up the bald spots. Hopefully, she is a
master at styling her hair because
that's what it's going to take to fix
this. Oh, we're going for a finger wave
moment. Thank god. I just feel so bad
for her hair. I don't know how her hair
is still on her head. I keep saying
that, but seriously, I don't. I mean,
and she is styling her wet, porous,
compromised hair, which is going to
stretch it out even more and lead to
more damage. She needs a good Keen. She
needs some Ollex. She needs all kinds of
bond boosters, proteins, and everything
to keep this hair in her head. But she's
doing an amazing job with the finger
waves, and I can't wait to see if she
was able to cover up these ball spots,
and what the results going to look like.
>> This is how we are looking now. I kind
of got
the ball patch to cover up a little.
It's giving more of a red, but I will
wait until it dries so I can see. But
yeah, this is it for now. I'm going to
have to make it work until this
situation right here and this situation
right here goes back a little bit. Okay,
and we have made it to the end of this
video. I really hope and trust that you
enjoy this look. You love how it turned
out. Don't forget to subscribe.
>> What the [ __ ] I hate this. I hate it. I
don't want to do this anymore because
every week somehow you guys pull some
weird ass [ __ ] and somehow the the looks
turn out great and I don't know what is
going on. How does she look this angelic
and perfect and gorgeous with bald spots
on both sides of her [ __ ] head? Listen,
the face car does a lot. But the hair,
it also [ __ ] eats. Like it also eats.
Damn, those finger waves look beautiful.
Her hair looks so shiny. and the makeup,
everything just comes together. Now, I
don't even know what I'm going to rate
this because it looks great. But on the
other hand, we all know what's
underneath that hair and what we went
through to get here. I'm going to have
to give you a two on the monometer. It
looks great, but like what the [ __ ] just
happened? And the pink is so your color.
Compliments your skin tone beautifully.
I cannot [ __ ] believe she looks like
this. Oh my god.
>> Today I'm going to be bleaching my hair.
So, I molded my hair for the past couple
of days and this is how it's looking.
So, this is just gel. [laughter]
I'm already crying because I read the
title just now and it says, "I bleached
my hair at home after 2 weeks of perm."
Yes, she relaxed her hair two weeks ago.
I mean, it's definitely better than
doing it all in the same day,
but it's still not good. We just
shouldn't do it at all. Okay, either
way, we shouldn't perm and then bleach.
We shouldn't bleach and then perm. none
of it.
>> I'm not too sure if I'm going to need a
toner. If I do, then I will show you.
So, I'm using a 40 volume developer and
then the BW2. I already mixed it before
I came.
[laughter]
We're using 40 volume and BW2. The
strongest mixture you can possibly [ __ ]
make with color, okay, with bleach. BW2,
that is made to just pow break through
everything on that hair. Many nice
salons have BW2 just in case you have a
use case for it and you're like, "This
hair is healthy and can take a beating
and we need to get this hair from [ __ ]
black to bright blonde in one day." BW2
might get whipped out, you know? But
we're going to put Ollex in it, okay?
We're going to put some bond building in
it. That way, when the bonds are broken,
ah, snap, we can multiply those bonds
while they're being broken at the same
damn time so your hair doesn't fall off.
Also, she mixed this up before she
started filming, which means it's
probably been sitting out for like 15
minutes, which I wouldn't recommend. One
scoop at a time. Immediately use that,
then remix. We don't want this sitting
out and oxidizing.
>> I used three [music] scoop right here,
which I think is too much after all. Or
maybe not. We'll see. three scoops at
once. I mean, she has very short hair
luckily, so she's probably not going to
use half of that, but one scoop.
>> And then I use the developer depending
on [music] the texture that you want.
So, this is what I got.
>> It's already [ __ ] foaming and
expanding. We don't want that. Oh. So,
before we go any further, you guys, I am
not a butician. I don't have a license
for this. I'm just doing my own hair,
okay? But feel free to go to a
hairdresser that is licensed and does
this. I per my hair maybe two weeks ago.
I'm wearing it. I waited for about 2
weeks and now we are going to do this
process. Okay. Like I said, this is gel
by the way. Yo, this is the Ecostyler.
Look at that.
>> Okay. I mean, I'm glad that she's
combing this out before she bleaches her
hair. I was hoping she wasn't going to
just bleach the hair that is already
laying down and all that gel. Thank god
cuz this bleach would not get on evenly
that way. All right. Well, we are
applying this bleach everywhere. So, her
ends are already bleached. So, she is
just going to go right over those babies
and get them even lighter to the point
where they're definitely going to snap
off. Not only that, but obviously she
said guys, she relaxed her hair. I keep
saying that, but I feel like I had to
restate myself. Her hair is relaxed.
Relaxer goes into the cortex of the hair
and breaks dulfide bonds. Okay, the
dulfide bonds which make up your curl
pattern are broken. They're neutralized
into a new position. Well, technically
the dulfide bonds are one of the most
major bonds that make up a curl pattern,
but they're not the only one, but you
get the point. And then we go on with
bleach and we just rip out all the
pigment in the hair. I mean, your hair
is left with nothing at that point. We
are laying all that hair on top of
itself, which I never recommend. Your
hair will build up heat in the middle
kind of section right here, and you'll
see a lot of breakage at your crown
because all that hair is layered on top
of it. Too much heat in one area can
often mean breakage. That is why this
spot, you never want to layer all the
hair on top of it. No bueno.
>> So you guys, you can tell my hair is
turning to the whatever color it's
turning to. So
>> she just has such fine, fragile hair. I
also worry about her pulling on this
hair while she's bleaching it. She's
trying to move it all around and get it
everywhere. But there's enough bleach on
there. I will say the saturation is
beautiful. That will definitely lighten
the hair for sure. And that's what I
like to see.
>> THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE. THIS IS full
saturation, baby.
>> I am done with my hair. This is how it
will look. I think I have three
different colors [laughter] on my hair,
you guys. Three different colors.
>> What is happening? [laughter]
There's been no happy jumps today.
>> So, what we going to do now to take the
brassiness out of my hair?
>> Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Back it
up. What we're going to do to take the
brassiness out is we're not going to do
anything. Okay? Okay, we're going to
stop. We're going to put the color down.
She's about to say she's going to use a
toner, isn't she?
>> And give it like one tone instead of all
the tones on my hair. So, to give it one
tone. So, I'm going to use this.
>> I mean, it could have been worse for
sure. She could have took out a level 10
toner. At least this is a 7 NG. Okay,
this could be dark enough to neutralize
all this [ __ ] going on. Okay, but
her ends are so compromised that they're
definitely not going to hang on to any
color. They are so porous. That cuticle
is blown out. So, her ends are probably
going to end up the same color or a
little bit more yellow toned. And then
her roots, I don't know if they're going
to pick up either. I feel like it's all
just going to stay the same. Sometimes
your hair can be so compromised that it
does not hold on to color anymore. You
got to rebuild the health for it to
stick.
>> So, this is the color charm weather
number 7 NG. I've used this plenty of
times. Also, if you're wondering what
7NG is, this is a level seven and an NG
[music and clears throat] is neutral
gold. So, neutral is not quite copper
and she has a lot of copper going on. I
don't think the neutral part is going to
be enough to [music] cancel out any of
this gold. It's really just going to add
on top. Probably more gold. I don't
really know what she's looking for. It's
very confusing. If she wants to get rid
of this gold a little bit, opposite of
orange on the color wheel is blue.
Something with an ash base like 7A would
cancel out this orange. And make sure to
check out our colors at Sally Beauty in
store. and check out all our other
online retailers listed below.
>> So, all you have to do is use your 40
volume developer with the same bottle.
Okay, so let's empty this one first.
>> Babe, I just feel for your hair. I'm 40
volume. I love you. You're so great. You
seem like you are like a positive light
[music] and you are just a cool person.
I just can't watch you do this to
yourself. It's hard for me. I just feel
for your hair and you. I want you to
know the best outcome possible. your
cuticle's already blown open and now
you're putting 40 volume over it, which
is just going to blow your cuticle open
again, which literally can't happen
because your cuticle is already blown
open. You get the point. You'd be great
with a semi-permanent color at this
point because we don't need to expand.
It's already open and ready to receive
the artificial color molecules. We don't
need to try and get it open even more.
We just need to deposit the tone on top
slash a little bit inside of the hair
strand. We do that with semi and
semi-permanmanent color. XMO color would
be perfect here. 7 C 7A. Anything you
want, we got it, baby. Something to
neutralize this orange and bring the
life back to your hair.
>> So, I'm putting this into this bowl
again and mix it up. So, this is how it
look. I'm going to give it a mix. Then
after that, I'm going to apply it all
over my hair so that my hair will turn
one color instead of all of this colors
that are on my head.
You guys know I like to work with what
do you call this? Um mess.
>> This must be burning her head.
>> Um gloves.
Yeah, I like to work with gloves.
>> My girl can't even see. It's burning so
bad. Her eye is twitching. She's like,
"Ow, fuck." We are getting it on there.
We are getting that color just
everywhere we can and scrubbing our
head. Our poor little scalp just
scrubbing away. Yikes. Oh my god, it
hurts me. It's giving me chills because
I know the pain. I've been there. I've
done so many damn things to my head,
guys. Also, [music] like, come on,
healthy hair. Like, okay, hairline. It's
back now. I was like literally balding
cuz I was bleaching the [ __ ] out of my
hair every in of my life. But it's back.
Anyways, back to her. Um I know the
pain. I'm just so happy she's using
enough color and she's getting it on
there as evenly [music] as possible. So
that's the upside. You know, there's
always an upside. There's always a
downside.
>> I'll come back maybe 10 15 minutes when
I think that this is the tone that I
wanted and I'll come back when I get
everything in place. Okay, I am all
done. So, it's couple of well little
strains right here that refuse to do the
job, but anyhow, we'll just leave it
like that. Okay.
>> Exactly what I thought was going to
happen happened. Godamn. Oh my god. This
whole video is just going to be me
stressed out. Hold on, guys. Hold on.
Her ends didn't take color at all like
we thought because they're so porous.
And the rest of it looks exactly the
same. I think we're towards the end now.
I think she's gonna style it and we're
gonna see the final results.
>> All right, so this is how everything
turned out. So, gonna oil my hair.
>> I mean, I said this all before, but you
just got to fill up that hair with
nutrients again. Now, guys, something to
consider with oil is that most oils are
not hydrating. Often, they are a
finishing product. They also lock in
moisture. [music] So, typically you want
to put a moisturizing product in your
hair first, like a cream is what I
prefer, and then you can lock it in with
an oil on top. That's the best way to do
it. Sandwich [music] that stuff
together. But I often prefer
moisturizing creams like Hydrophy for
that. Moisturizing creams really pack a
big punch to get the hair nice and
hydrated.
>> And then I'm just going to slick my hair
back. I'm going to use this Ecostyler
here.
So,
>> just be less aggressive, please. We just
put your hair through a lot of stuff. We
don't want to pull on it. At this point,
I would just blow dry with cool air to
get it dry. And then I would just leave
[music] it for a couple days, okay?
While it rehydrates, takes that humidity
from the air, you know, gets all that
good good in it and restrengthens a
little bit. I would just would not comb
this, please. We are just slicking down
the hair with some Eco Styling gel. And
honestly, okay, as long as that means
you're not going to touch it for a few
days at least.
>> Yeah, I am all done. This is how my hair
turned out. You like the color. As you
see, I'm not dolled up or anything like
that. So,
yeah,
[snorts]
I can always curl the back or trim the
back, you know. So, I just got to get
used to it again. This is really all
right. So, that is the finished result.
She seems satisfied and happy with her
hair. So, I am also satisfied and happy
with her hair. Your hair is your own
thing. You can do whatever you [music]
want. That is the most important part.
If you're going to do the whole blonde
thing, I would like it to be platinum,
but I don't think you should take it
there. Where I think you should take it
is another level down or maybe two. I
prefer the darker hair on you
personally. And also, I would love a
finger wave moment on you. It would be
so fierce. Maybe with the whole face and
everything together, it might come
through and be cut. But oh my god, I
don't know. I just feel [music] really
bad for your hair. Let's bring it back
to life, shall we? Let's Come on. Let's
bring it back to life, please. And for
that, I'm about to give you a one on a
meter. I'm so sorry, but that was scary
in every way. Make sure to check out
Hair Justice Reacts every single Sunday.
I'll be here waiting for you.
