Say Goodbye To Fenty's Original Pro Filt'r Foundation! | BiancaReneeToday

It's foundation Friday. Wow, I haven't said that in so long. If you are new here, welcome. I'm Bianca Renee and you're watching Beyonce Renee today. But if you are an OG, you know I used to do foundation reviews every Friday on my very oily, acne prone skin. Since then, my skin has changed being a mom getting older. I'm not as oily as I used to be and I've gotten acne under control, but I do like a good matte foundation. So, I'm excited today to be trying a natural matte foundation and to be one of the first to try this natural matte foundation by Fenty Beauty. This is the new Fenty Beauty Pro Fil'ter Fluid Flex Foundation, and this is actually replacing the original Pro Fil'ter Foundation that Fenty made, the one that like broke all beauty boundaries by having the widest shade range ever. Well, now that's actually gone. So, if you see it on sale or I don't know if it's going to be at a TJ Maxx or something, the reason why is because it's it's done. They're not making anymore. This is the new mama in town and she comes in 50 shades and it's a completely new formula. So, without further ado, let me show you exactly how I applied this new foundation and how I use this brush on my semi oily skin. Now, skin prep is apparently a very big part of our routine. We got some goodies at the Fenty event. So, I have the Fenty Hydrovisisor. Never tried that. I have the new foundation brush. And of course, the star of the show, the foundation, which I have already used once before. So, this will be my second impression. Let's start off with this one. Oh, okay. So, apparently these are tinted moisturizers, but this one is just like the non color moisturizer, but you could get them in your skin tone. So, it's pretty cool. You could just buy like a refillable one and then just pop it in there. Cute. Oh, it's like pink. Okay. See how this does. Now, the makeup artist said to not forget the brows, so I'm going to get some moisturizer in there, too. Under the eyes, skin prep. Now, they also said that this foundation doesn't need a primer. I usually always use a primer, and I did the first time. So, today, let's try it all on its own. No primer. Main thing they said was to shake it up so that the product can really get all mixed in, get all the pigments everywhere. I am the color 426W, which is warm. Now, the original Fenty Pro foundation, everybody was saying was everything was too warm and everybody was getting a little orange. And if I do think back to my first Fenty video, I was a little on the orangey, very warm side. [laughter] But then here I am getting warm again. So maybe I'm just a warm girl. I'm a Kelly girl. What can I say? And now let's get the Fenty Beauty, what's your actual name? Fluid Flex foundation brush. Apparently, this brush is supposed to be the greatest brush in the game. Supposed to change my life. Let's see. Very cute. This little pink color. And as you can see, it has this little like divot. So, you're supposed to pump directly onto the brush. Most people like to warm it up, put it on their face, whatever. But I'm going to try to do what they say today and just follow all the instructions. And they also said to do one pump. I like full coverage, but we'll start with one pump and see how we do. So, let's take a good look at the skin. I have very large pores. Have a couple little dark spots here. Here. Let's check the coverage. I really like the packaging. It feels like a perfume where it's like a thick, heavy glass bottle. One pump. Okay, here we go. No primer is crazy. It's very, very soft. Ooh. Fenty also mentioned that when it comes to foundation, you want to see the dry down. So, just like when you're painting your room or your house, you put it on and you let the paint dry to see the actual color. So, even if you go on first and you don't see like an exact match, let it dry down a little bit and you should see it should be like a perfect match. Yeah, this is good. I actually need a mirror instead of looking into the camera. I'm add a little more. All right, let's do half and half so we get a good side by side. So, they call it a fluid flex foundation because it's supposed to be fluid and flexible as you make expressions throughout the day. It's supposed to be waterproof, so even if you cry, it should stay in place. I'm going in with another pump just for some more coverage. And it's supposed to move with you. Now, on my first impression, I did wear this on a day that was 100° at a baby shower that was outside, so I was hot and sweaty, but it still did a really good job, as you can see from the start of the day to the end of the day. So, I will say looking up closely, I'm kind of wishing I used a primer. I see a lot of my pores today more than I think I did the first time I used this with a primer. I'm going to go with another pump to see if we can get a little more coverage. And you also can use this in place of your concealer, but I'm a concealer girl. I got really dark circles, so I'm going to need my concealer on top as well. So, as you can see, one side versus the other. The color match is spot-on, and it's such a natural finish. So, they're calling this a modern matte. So, not too matte where you're just like chocked dry, but still looks like skin before after. So, if you're someone that doesn't like to wear a lot of foundation or you're more of a skin tinted moisturizer, this could be a good option for you. Let's go ahead and do the full face. Another pump. The brush is really soft. So, I can see why they would call this like a pro filter because it is kind of just like like my skin but better. I'm not getting the crazy full coverage that I usually prefer, but this could be a good like everyday foundation when I don't want to be full glam. Okay, so that is about two and a halfish pumps on each side. Skin is very glowy, natural looking. I'm getting coverage, but it's not looking like heavy and cakey. It also feels very lightweight. Let's add a couple more Fenty favorites. So, I do have the Fenty concealer. I am the color 330W. I'm just a warm girl, aren't I? Sorry, I still conceal like a millennial where I put more than I'm supposed to, but your girl's tired. Okay, I got three kids. Okay, concealer on. Brows did. Let's add in some Fenty blush. This is the Shake and Play Buildable Liquid Blush, Whipped Berry Whip number three. It's super pigmented. And you just do a little dot dot dot dot. And then going to blend this out. Now, let me finish the rest of my face. And I'm back. Wow, much better. If only the snap actually was that quick. Cuz to be honest, I've now been wearing this makeup for about 3 hours. Filming foundation Fridays as a mom is very different. But now that I'm back, I'm actually glad that I let it sit for a little bit because just like they said, the dry down really makes a difference. At first, I was feeling like I wasn't getting too much coverage and it was a little shiny, but now that it's dried down, it kind of has dried to a very nice soft matte finish without having to add powder. What do I think? I think the color match is literally perfect. I mean, what do you expect from having 50 shades? If you can't find your shade and you have 50 shades to choose from, I don't know what to tell you. So, I had the opportunity of going to a Fenty Beauty YouTube shopping event where I got to learn all about the foundation, get shade matched, and then leave with one of the first bottles of the product. And I really enjoyed the Fenty Beauty event because they took the time to educate us on the product, which you guys know I love learning about the ingredients of a product, why it's going to work, and why you should even think about buying it. Well, I'm happy to announce that this new foundation does not oxidize, which is a big deal. And they've added more neutral tones instead of just warm. So now it really should be a better shade match for everybody. This foundation is very luxe. It comes in like this glass bottle. It looks really cute. And the retail value is $48. They've also released a new brush. And this brush is $36. I really enjoyed learning all about this foundation. So, let me show you a sneak peek of what they said inside this exclusive YouTube shopping event. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Fenty effect. This is why I wanted to work for Fenty because it really pushed the rest of the industry to catch up with making sure all of our shades were inclusive. And that meant through undertones. That meant through depth. That meant through ensuring that everybody had the finish that they want. Ensuring everybody had the shade that they wanted. Not just in foundation, but also in all of the rest of our complexion products. Bana told us, "Start from scratch." She was like, "There's so much out there right now in terms of technology that we can offer. Start from scratch. Don't take something old and reinvent it. I want something brand new." So, it is new. It's not just improved. Um, but it's been about 3 years in the making and it has been based on consumer feedback of what consumers wanted in terms of shades, in terms of texture. It is essentially a foundation that was built on everybody here voicing what they wanted to see in a foundation. So, I always love how inclusive Fenty tries to be with an entire inclusive shade range. And I do want to let you guys know that the shade range is completely different from the original Pro Fil'ter foundation, meaning new numbers and everything. So, because they've added so many colors, all the numbers would be out of order. So, you are going to have to get reshade matched. I would suggest in person like at a Sephora or you can use their shade matcher online which will show like a chart to say okay if you were number two something before and you might be four something now. And because this is my second time wearing it I can tell you that it did last all day and kept my shine at a minimum. I was out in the sun in 100° weather. Should have been sweating but my skin still looked fresh. maybe like a little dewy, but still like a more natural dew versus like completely shiny melting off my face. I do want to continue to experiment with this foundation, see what I like better, whether using it without a primer or with with concealer, without, and just kind of see what's going to be the best combo for me. But overall, I really like it. I feel like I would grab this for an everyday makeup. I might do something different for like a full going out glam. But as a mom taking your kids to and from school, taking them to swim class in and out the house, changing temperatures, watching Instagram videos of people giving away money, and now I'm crying. I'm going to need something waterproof. Okay, I still got emotion. So, I like the idea behind Rihanna also being a mom and knowing like how much our face moves throughout the day as a mom. We could be happy, we could be angry, like just a little movement. and you want your foundation to be fluid with all of your emotions.
