Sanford Health and the Park Rapids Rotary Club are joining forces to host a community health event on Wednesday, September 9th, at the Sanford Health Park Rapids Clinic. This initiative aims to provide residents with essential medical screenings, including forty blood tests, cervical cancer screenings, and mammograms. The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to improving local healthcare access and supporting vital health initiatives within the Park Rapids area.
The comprehensive blood screening offered at the event covers a wide range of critical health indicators, including cholesterol levels, kidney function, diabetes detection, and liver function. By making these tests available in one location, the organizers hope to encourage more people to monitor their overall health and catch potential issues early. Attendees are reminded that appointments are required for participation, and interested individuals can schedule their time by calling 218-699-3121 to ensure they secure a spot during this limited-time opportunity.
Proceeds generated from the event will directly benefit various projects undertaken by the Park Rapids Rotary Club, furthering their mission to serve the community. The organizers have made it convenient for participants to contribute financially, accepting cash, checks, or credit card payments at the clinic. This financial support not only funds future club initiatives but also reinforces the partnership between healthcare providers and civic organizations dedicated to fostering a healthier environment for all residents.
In addition to promoting this specific health fair, the video concludes with a message from Lakeland News, identifying itself as a nonprofit news organization. They invite viewers to donate to Lakeland PBS to support their local news team, emphasizing the importance of community funding in maintaining independent journalism.
