Video summary

The video analysis begins by dissecting the intense psychological battle between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes prior to their WWE Championship match. The commentator highlights how Randy effectively questioned Cody's willingness to cross the line into true villainy, contrasting his own ruthless nature with what he perceives as Cody's hesitation. Randy argues that while Cody claims to be a "nightmare," he is actually just a "daydreamer" who lacks the resolve to commit to evil deeds without regret. This confrontation sets the stage for the main event, where Randy challenges Cody to prove if he is truly willing to destroy him to win the title, suggesting that only by snapping and becoming a full-blown heel can Cody overcome his legendary status and finally earn the crowd's hatred. The narrative then shifts to the tag team match between The MFTTs and Damian Priest against R Truth, which served as a warm-up for the main event. Although the commentator initially had low expectations for this bout, the match gained momentum due to an active crowd in Toronto, ultimately resulting in a victory for The MFTTs that felt logical given their history. A key storyline point was teased when it appeared Damian Priest might turn on R Truth after his partner got pinned, but the commentators note that such a betrayal would have been beneficial for advancing Damian's character, as he currently exists in a state of limbo. Despite not being the highlight, the match provided adequate entertainment before the focus turned to the main event featuring Kevin Owens and CM Punk. The main event itself is described as a historic first-time encounter between these two rivals, filled with high intensity and significant crowd reaction, particularly against CM Punk. The match dynamics shifted early on when CM Punk successfully countered a Stunner into a neck breaker, allowing him to target Kevin Owens' injured neck and change the momentum of the bout. The action escalated dramatically when the referee was knocked out, leading to a chaotic finish where Sami Zayn interfered by attacking both competitors. After CM Punk kicked out at the very last second, Sami Zayn threw the referee back in to count a pin that he himself had orchestrated by clocking Kevin Owens with the WWE Championship belt, allowing Punk to retain the title while his friend was betrayed. Following the conclusion of the match, the post-match chaos continued as Sami Zayn attacked both competitors with the championship belt, declaring that justice would be his once he reclaimed the title. The commentator expresses strong approval of the match quality and the storyline progression, noting that Kevin Owens refused to accept a win achieved through interference, which led to the controversial finish. Looking ahead, the analysis predicts that this feud will likely culminate in a triple threat match at Saturday Night's Main Event or possibly Sunday Night's main event rather than waiting until Money in the Bank. The commentator anticipates a role reversal where Kevin Owens will return as a babyface while Sami Zayn adopts a heel persona, setting up an exciting future chapter for this long-running rivalry on SmackDown.

They touch each other. It's a no touch clause situation. They both won't be able to go for the WWE Championship. And we know both know, well, everybody knows that they want to go for the title, especially Randy Orton. You know, Cody wants to get his rematch. So, they can't touch each other. So, after that, they started going in. Um, and I like what Randy was doing here. Randy was basically questioning what Cody is really willing to do because he said what Cody was talking about last week, how he's he's willing to be the bad guy. He doesn't buy it because he talked about how there was a moment where [snorts] he was thinking about bashing his skull in the same way Randy did to Cody. There was a moment where he was thinking about bashing his skull in on those steel steps with the steel chair and he basically told him told Cody like look if you would have did that you would have regrets. You would have felt bad with that bad bad about what you did. You wouldn't have been able to live with yourself. But me there was no second thought. Once I had you down there I saw Red and I I didn't care. See, that's the difference between me and you. You're you're you're not this American nightmare like like you think you are. You're more like a a daydream. Like you say you want to do these things, but you're not willing to go there. I'm willing to go there. You're not. I know you better than that. And then you sat up there and say, "Who's going to kill the legend killer?" Well, it's not going to be you. And then that's when Cody's like, I find that very interesting that you feel that way. [snorts] I mean, at the end of the day, it's not a bad thing to do that to you considering you did that to me and we're friends, right? We were friends. So, why wouldn't it be something that I wouldn't want to do to you? And you keep telling yourself that that's not going to be the case. He he even told him, broke it down to him. You can win title 15, 16, 17, 18. You can go down as the greatest champion of all time in WWE history, but it still comes back to QB1. It still comes back to me. At the end of the day, it's going to be me. That's not a prediction. That's a spoiler. He's using a Paul Heyaymon line there. And then they had an intense staredown. But I think anything I can take away from this promo segment is I like what Randy is saying here. He's questioning how far are you willing to go? What are you willing to really do? Are you willing to go to that next level? Are you really willing to to be bad to prove your point? And I do think at some point that should be the route. I hope that's the route they go. I hope Randy is the catalyst to get him to snap because I feel like if he's supposed to win this feud over Randy, he would have to ultimately snap. Ry's at the point in his career, even if he's doing heel like things, he'll never get really booed because he's he's in that legend status where, you know, we're not trying to boo our favorites no more. no matter what type of evil deeds they do. So, if anything, the only person that could really benefit from this entire situation is Cody. And the only way he really benefits from it is if he's willing to destroy Randy Orton in the process. You would have to get to that point because ultimately he's going to get booed regardless. And I'm talking about Cody. So, I like that he questioned, "Are you really about that?" I am. People know I'm willing to do whatever I need to do to win number 50, but are you really willing to destroy me? I don't believe you, Cody. You going to have to show me. And honestly, honestly, I'm willing to see if they go that far. I am really actually willing to see if they willing to go that far. um throughout the show, like middle parts of it, it was it was some stuff I really too much, you know, it wasn't bad, but it was stuff I wasn't just like overly, you know, excited to see. I know they had a rematch with Damen Priest and um our Truth going against the MFTts um for the Smackdown tag titles. And honestly, I really wasn't looking forward to this match. But ultimately, as the match went on, it did pick up. The crowd there in Toronto was very active. So, it definitely made the show better in in matches like this um seem a little bit more entertaining. Um ultimately, the the MFTts did retain because it didn't make sense for them to lose them back. And they teased like it looked like um Damen Priest was going to turn on Ruth because Art Truth was the one that got pinned, but they didn't do it. I don't know if that's the route they're going to go. To be honest, I wouldn't have a problem if they did something like that cuz our truth will forever get cheered. They need to do something with Damian Priest because Damen Priest is just kind of in this tag team limbo. I think they've done what they needed to do with the tag teams. They've been feuding with the MFTts for way too long. Honestly, you need to do something with uh Damen Priest. So maybe uh a heel turn on R Truth would get people to actually care more about Damian Priest because people love R Truth regardless. So um ultimately match wasn't looking forward to it but it was okay and I think a lot of people were just really waiting for the main event and I'm glad that um we was able to really enjoy that cuz we're going to talk about the main event here. That was really the highlight of the show and it was really good. Honestly, this could have been on a PL if they wanted to. First time ever in WWE. A lot of history between these guys even before the bell rung. They're going at each other. They're, you know, pushing each other, mushing each other in the face. I love the intensity. Crowd was pro Kevin Owens as you expected. And the crowd was uh definitely against CM Punk getting a lot of booze. And early in the match, Kevin Owens was stomping the mud hole in CM Punk. He had the early advantage, but then when Punk did I think I think Kevin Owens went for the stunner, but Punk ended up countering it into like a neck breaker and that's when the tide of the match changed because Kevin Owens was, you know, selling his neck. We know he's had some issues with his neck. And from there, CM Punk started targeting the neck. CM Punk was doing everything he could. Multiple swinging neck breakers, kicking at the neck, targeting it, and Kevin Owens is selling it because he literally been out for more than a year because of the the the neck issues he's had. So, that kind of changed the dynamic. Kevin Ow Kevin Owens was definitely the baby face clearly in this match. CM Punk was operating more as the heel. Um there was a cool little table spot where CM Punk is laying on the table. Kevin Owens goes to the behind the uh noun announcer table area and on the barricade does like a frog splash onto or splash onto CM Punk through the table. Nice little visual there. Ultimately, we're getting toast to the end of the match and then you finally see the referee bump. I was figuring it was going to happen. Referee ends up getting knocked out and then Kevin Owens hits the stunner on on CM Punk, but the ref is down. Then as he's trying to Kevin Owens is trying to wake up the ref, CM Punk is able to hit the GTS on the Kevin Owens, but once again, the ref is down. Then as CM Punk is checking on the ref, Sami Zayn comes into the mix. Sami Zayn comes into the mix. He ends up hitting um running CM Punk into the ring post. Ref doesn't see it. Throws him back into the ring. Then um I want to say C uh CM Punk ends up getting hit with the stunner. Then Sammy throws in the ref into the ring. Ref goes for the one two and I thought the match was over. I thought CM Punk lost the match because of Sami Zayn's assistance, but no. CM Punk kicked out at the very last possible millisecond. He kicks out right before the ref hits three. Crowd goes crazy. I thought the match was done. So at that point, Sammy gets the title, gets on the ring apron. Ref doesn't see it. Well, actually throws he throws the title in the middle. Kevin Owen picks it up. He looks at Sammy and he gives it back to him like, "Lo, bro, we're not going to do it this way. I'm not going to win this way. So Sami Zayn just saying [ __ ] it. Clocks Kevin Owens in the head with the WWE Championship. Then obviously the ref doesn't see it. CM Punk takes advantage. Hits Kevin Owens with the GTS for the one, two, and the three. And CM Punk retains because Sami Zayn helped. He attacked his friend, bro. Clocked him upside the head with the title. Then after the match was over, then Sammy said, "I'm not done." And decides to hit CM Punk with the title. Then Kevin Owens tries to get it, you know, get his licks in on Sammy. Sammy hits Kevin Owens with the title. Then as CM Punk is getting back to his knees, Sammy hits CM Punk with the title again and telling him, "You took this from me. This is mine. Justice will be mine once I get the title back." And you hear nothing but booze as Smackdown goes off the air. And uh yeah, that's how the match in the night ends. I kind of figured Sammy was gonna get involved. Um that it was it was a great great match. Great match. I enjoyed this for the first time ever matching WWE. um you knew Sammy was involved in this story and I do think the way things played out, I can see them maybe adding another match at Saturday night's or Sunday night's main event, a triple threat between CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. I don't think they're going to wait all the way until um Money in the Bank because that's October. That's that's a ways away. So, I think we'll probably get Saturday night's main event where they set up another triple threat match. And honestly, Saturday night's main event is not looking like a bad card to be honest with you. So, ultimately, I enjoyed the main event. This was a fun main event. And um you can kind of tell where they were setting things up. Could they have had Kevin Owens win the night? And would anybody really have complained? I think that would have been an interesting swerve, but that's not the route they're going. I do think most likely we're getting that triple threat between Sammy, Kevin Owens, and CM Punk. And ultimately, I think Sammy and Kevin Owens are going to revisit their feud once again. But this time, this time, Kevin Owens won't be the heel. He'll be the baby face, while Sammy will be the heel this time. So, nevertheless, I enjoyed Smackdown for what it was outside of kind of that low point in the middle of the show. The things I did enjoy Kevin Owens, Sami Z or Kevin Owens and CM Punk. That match, I enjoyed that. And the beginning of the show with Randy Orton, Cody, I enjoyed that. And uh I did enjoy ultimately that tag team match. Even though I wasn't looking forward to it, I think overall it was still enjoyable for the most part. But hey, comment down below. Let me know where do you guys think they're going to take this story when it's involving CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn. Do you guys think we're going to get a triple threat ma match at Sunday night's main event? How you think uh how you think things are going to play out? Appreciate all the love, support you guys showing our channel. Road two 20k. Appreciate y'all with me. See you on the next one. Peace.
