Video summary
Head Coach Robert Saleh joins host Taylor Zarzer in a newly renovated studio to provide an in-depth analysis of the Tennessee Titans roster following training camp, emphasizing the strong synergy between Offensive Coordinator Brian Dabbs and Quarterbacks Coach Shay Tierney. Saleh expresses immense confidence in rookie quarterback Cam Ward, describing him as a deep thinker with the right physical build who is unlikely to fail, while also praising the maturity of the running back group led by Randy Jordan, which features Tony Pollard, Tajae Sharpe, and rookie Nick Singleton. The receiving corps is highlighted for its versatility and youth, anchored by veterans Calvin Ridley and Wendell Robinson alongside second-year players Chigoziem Okonkwo and Carnell Tate, who Saleh credits with tremendous growth despite being drafted fourth overall.
On the defensive side, Saleh commends defensive line coach Aaron White-Cotton for instilling a "fast and violent" standard of play that is exemplified by stars Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin Myers, as well as rookies Keldrick Bell and Jack Sanborn. The linebacker unit includes Cedric Gray, Cody Barton, rookie Anthony Hill, and James Williams, while the secondary boasts safeties Kevin Byard and Quandre Diggs along with Tony Adams under the guidance of cornerback coach Tony Oden. Special teams are anchored by legendary coach John Bonameg, punter Tommy Townsend, kicker Joey Sly, and long snapper Morgan Cox, whose synchronized timing is crucial for field goals and punts. The broader staff, including football operations director Dave Gardy and the nutrition team, receives praise for their contributions to a grueling but successful camp that set the stage for the upcoming season.
The video also features interviews with new defensive back Cordell Flott, veteran Germaine Johnson, first-round pick Kendrick Faulk, and other specialists who discuss the intense culture under Saleh, characterized by violence, effort, and high standards upheld by leaders like Simmons and Aaron White. Players emphasize a strong sense of brotherhood, with Flott noting his close training partnership with Alante Taylor and Johnson praising the simplicity and tenacity of the defensive front. The group openly discusses overcoming adversity, such as injuries or being cut from the team, to build resilience and character, while special teams units highlight their chemistry and competitive drive as essential components of their success.
Throughout the segment, various players including tight end Gunnar Horn, offensive lineman Peter Skoronski, and defensive lineman John Franklin Myers reinforce the team's excitement and readiness for the 2026 season. Cam Ward emphasizes his coachability and belief in the championship culture that defines the organization, while Morgan Cox reflects on his lifelong connection to the franchise and its aspirations for a title. The overarching theme of the video is one of unity and continuous improvement, with players from all units expressing their commitment to maintaining high standards and overcoming challenges together. As training camp concludes, the Titans present a roster that blends veteran leadership with promising young talent, all united by a shared vision of excellence under Saleh's demanding yet supportive leadership.

This is the OTP. I'm Taylor Zarzer and
I'm proud to be joined by the head coach
of the Tennessee Titans, Robert Salah.
And for those that are watching on our
YouTube Tennessee Titans page, they can
see a brand new decorated studio for you
here, coach.
>> It looks pretty sweet.
>> You like this?
>> Yeah, it looks it looks nice. I
appreciate you having me. These uh in
fact these chairs that were in coach are
the chairs that you and I sat in the day
you took the job. They they moved them
from down from the locker room up here.
And uh and also right behind you on the
door that you walked in, a bunch of
pictures of the late great Dave
McInness, Coach M, my tag team partner.
So he will always be watching over us in
spirit. So I love that. Coach, we're
done with training camp and we go into
the season. And I thought it'd be fun
for Titans fans for you to do an
overview of all the new faces that are
with the Titans and your thoughts on
each position group. Obviously, you are
the head coach of the Titans. Let's
start on offense. Brian Dable is your
offensive coordinator. I know you've
known him for a long time. You've
competed against him for many years.
What do you think of him as an offensive
mind in the National Football League?
He's been an awesome teammate so far,
you know, and it's um you never know
what it's going to be until you actually
work with somebody uh going against them
and competing against them and uh and
hearing what people had to say about
him. You you you never really get to
truly know until you experience it. And
uh he's been as advertised, you know,
he's a he's an elite thinker. He's been
a big- time helping hand with regards to
the day-to-day activities of the
organization. And uh uh we're in really
good hands with him.
>> Lots of passion out there on the
practice field. guy was born to be a
football coach. There's no question
about that. We're going to go position
by position, but how about Shay Tierney,
who is his quarterback's coach? I know
that Daves and Shay have had a
relationship for a long time, and Shay's
a respected quarterback mind in the
league.
>> Yeah, you know, they're um they're I
don't want to say one and the same, but
they feed off each other really well.
Shay knows everything that Dabes is
about to say and vice versa, you know,
and uh they're they're a really good
team together and uh they they know
exactly what needs to get done on a
day-to-day basis to to put the
quarterback and the offense in the best
position possible.
>> So, let's talk about those quarterbacks
that you have beginning with the first
pick in the draft from last year's
draft, Cam Ward, who started every game
in the National Football League for the
Titans last season, and obviously you're
now with him as he goes through his
second training camp. Your thoughts on
the quarterback?
>> Yeah, he's he's been doing a great job.
you know, you're um uh for him learning
another system. I feel like he's every
year he's been in dating all the way
back to college, he's been learning a
new system every year, but uh he's a
great communicator. Uh he asks the right
questions. He's going about this the
right way and uh looking forward to
seeing his growth over the course of the
season.
>> I would like you, if you can, to repeat
what you said after the game about Cam
Ward, after the Chicago Bears game when
you were asked about Cam's future. you
have a lot of confidence in.
>> No, it's it's hard not to, you know,
like I've I I've always been a person
who believes that people win
championships. Um you can have the
skill, you can have the right scheme,
but if you don't have the right people,
it doesn't matter. And uh and Cam's the
right person. Uh he's he's built the
right way, he thinks the right way, he's
a deep thinker. Um and I and I just
believe that there's no way there's no
way that this kid's going to fail.
>> I love hearing that. You like the
quarterback room overall?
>> Overall, yeah, TR Trabiscy's been
awesome. Uh um he's been he's been
everything that I think Cam needs.
>> Let's talk about the running backs. A
familiar face for Titans fans. Randy
Jordan is still the running back's
coach. That guy burns some calories out
there on the uh on the practice field.
So much passion. How about the room that
Coach Jordan has?
>> Yeah, he's uh first off, he's he's an
unbelievable football coach and a damn
good golfer, by the way. Um but uh but
the running back room, it's a mature
group, you know. Uh Tony obviously
leading the way. He's uh he's got to be
one of the more underrated backs in all
of football. He's had four I think four
straight thousand yard seasons. Um Taj
is as elusive as it gets and you know
you got this young little rookie running
back uh and Nick I know he he kind of
got hurt uh during training camp but uh
he's got a chance to do do some good
things.
>> Yes, Singleton had a great career at
Penn State and I know you have high
hopes for him. So that's the running
back room and not just running the
football. I know you'll ask those guys
to make some catches out of the back
field. Taj Spears has been great doing
that for several years and and Pard
showed some signs of doing that
throughout training camp. Speaking of
catching passes, let's get to the
receiver room. Coach, you have to have a
bunch of skill guys when you have a
great quarterback who you got to have a
lot of options for him. Uh you bring
back the Titans do some guys that had
really good rookie seasons. Chim DK and
Eio Manor come to mind. They're now
secondyear guys. Calvin Ridley coming
off an injury is back at full health.
You draft Carnell Tate with the fourth
overall pick in the NFL draft. You have
him and Wandell Robinson, who's caught
90 plus balls in Brian Dable's offense
the last couple of years, is now a
Titan.
>> Yeah, it it's a it's a versatile group.
You know, there's uh I mean, pick your
flavor, it's in there. Uh Ridley's uh
still got a lot of juice left in the
tank. Uh Ellen and Tate provide big
bodies. Um, and then obviously Wendell
uh is uh is your shifty slot and and DK
he he's had a really nice camp. So
there's it's a really cool receiver
room. Um it's got a chance to be very
very productive. And what what's
exciting about it it's still relatively
young. I know I know Ridley and and
Wendell are the vets, but those other
three are I mean they're rookies and
secondyear players and who haven't even
scratched the surface yet of what
they're going to be and uh and what
their identities are and who they're
going to be in this league. And uh it's
a it's a really cool opportunity to see
that group grow together along with the
quarterback and and the running backs.
>> Yeah, this is my cheat sheet by the way,
my board that I have to have with me at
at all times. And uh to your point, Ell
23, Wandelle, he's 25. Yeah,
>> you know, he's been a veteran. He's in
his fifth year in the league. Chim DK is
just 24 years old.
>> And then the rookie,
>> Carnell Tate, 21 years old. He's just
just a baby. What have you noticed from
him so far?
>> Uh, tremendous maturity. Um, you know,
he's he's a big body. Like I said, he's
going to get bigger. He's going to get
stronger. He's going to get faster. It's
just the uh part of natural maturation
of of being a a professional athlete and
going about your daily business. But,
uh, he's wired the right way. He's very
smart. You can move them around the
formation. You can ask them to do a lot
of different things. And u um I' I'd
love to sit here and guarantee that it's
going to be one of those steady climbs,
but you know, you're going to have peaks
and valleys like you you will with every
single rookie, but but more often than
not, I think he's going to end up on the
high side.
>> Shout out to Greg Lewis, the wide
receiver coach. One of my favorite
things to do at practice is watch him
throw fast balls from five yards away,
trying to get these guys to make
catches. And if they can catch those
balls, they can catch anything.
>> No doubt. He he's uh he's he's he's
coached some really really good ones in
his career. And uh I mean Chudy had a
hell of a playing career himself and um
self-proclaimed, you know, the Brett
Brett Favre play. Uh but he calls it the
GU play because he's the one who made
the catch.
>> That's right. That's right.
>> But uh but no, he's he's had a an
unbelievable career, not only as a
player, but as a coach.
>> Uh let's go to the tight end room. I
wish Luke Stalker could give us some
more reps, by the way, cuz he's built as
a great looking tight end who obviously
played in the in the league. He's the
coach of that room. What do you like
about the tight end room?
>> Uh, again, it's you know, you got Gunar
who's young. You got um uh Belly who's
who's the vet, and then uh you know,
you've got a bunch of other guys that
are are competing to be that third. and
uh but but overall it's it's a it's a
it's a really good group that's they're
they're starting caliber tight ends and
and I'm I'm excited to see where where
they kind of take it. You know, Gunner
um from a year ago to now is a
completely different looking person um
just physically.
>> Uh so he's going to improve and then
Belly has always been kind of a a really
steady uh uh outlet not only for the
quarterback but just really for Dayball
and what he tries to do both in the run
game and pass game. Yeah, Daniel
Bellinger coming over from the Giants in
Daves's offense. Carmen Bracilo is your
offensive line coach. How about that
group?
>> You know, it's been a u uh it's been
awesome to watch Karm coach, you know,
cuz I', you know, I I' I've always been
a part of the old, you know, you know,
the Alex Gibbs, Mike Shanahan, you know,
that that type of system. And now he's
he's like the first coach that um I've
been around from the Scaria tree. And um
he's awesome, man. He does a really nice
job. He he creates really cool angles in
the run game. He's he coaches with the
right mindset and he's got those guys
playing at a really cool level. And um
you know, whatever worries we had about
the offensive line going into camp, I
think uh I think that group has done a
great job embracing his style of
coaching, embracing his messaging,
embracing his style of play, and uh it's
it's got a chance to be a a a pretty
good group for us.
>> We had Pete Scaransky visit with us
recently, one of the best left guards in
football, and uh he said, "I promise you
I'm going to try to be fast and
violent." He's like, "I know people
don't say that I'm fast, but he said,
I'm going to try to be fast and
violent." And I know your message of
being fast and violent also applies to
the offensive line.
>> It does. You can They can still play
fast. You know, the way they run off the
ball, the way they strike, the way they
get their hands and and uh uh hands onto
their u uh the defensive players and
whether or not they're owning their side
of the line of scrimmage and uh but um
but it it's it's been fun to watch that
group and it's been a battle in camp.
you know, our Dline isn't isn't exactly
it's it's not like our D line's a slouch
and uh we've got some good dudes on that
D line and
>> our offensive line has brought it every
day and um and I feel like because of it
they've gotten better.
>> Well, you mentioned the defensive line.
So, let's go there next. Aaron White
Cotton is your defensive line coach.
Tell us about the guys that he's
coaching up front.
>> Yeah, he's um he's done a really nice
job. You know, he he and I have been
together since way back in Jacksonville
when he was the assistant Dline coach.
uh talking about Aaron and um but but
just overall, you know, the the group as
a whole uh plays to the style that we
need the the D line to play, that we
expect the D line to play. I think
obviously Jeff, I mean, you can put him
in any system, he's going to look
fantastic. Uh but uh John Franklin Myers
has looked awesome. Uh Germaine is on a
mission. Uh Si is is does what Sally
does best in terms of his effort, his
strain, uh his ability to get to the
ball. FEM's had good uh really good
improvement. Jacob Martin looks like
he's 27. I I need to know what
supplements he takes. Hopefully, you
know, I mean, he looks unbelievable. Um
but um but just overall just the group
uh as a whole, Jordan uh Elliott getting
him from San Francisco, he looks really
good. And um you know the and then we
have obviously the two rookies with
Kevin uh Keldrickch and uh Jackie who
have both made great strides. And uh you
know there there's I'm sure I'm missing
somebody but um but overall I just think
the group as a whole uh compliments one
another very very well. I think they do
a really good job holding each other
accountable. Uh there's a lot of alphas
in that room and uh and I always tell
that group that to whom much is given
much is required. And uh you know we'll
we'll go as they go and if they're
humming we'll be humming.
>> Yeah. And you have made it very clear
all of them will play. You rotate those
guys.
>> They're all playing. Yeah.
>> They're all playing. Let's go to the
linebacker room next. Coach said Gray is
coming off of a unbelievable year from a
tackling standpoint. Fifth in the
National Football League last year. Cody
Barton is one of the leaders of this
team and you've got a good looking
rookie out of the University of Texas.
>> Yeah. Uh the rookie the rookie had a
really nice camp. He's only going to get
better. Um he's got great range,
athleticism, speed. Uh they demonstrated
that and in the uh last preseason game
against Chicago running with a receiver
on a shallow cross. Um a lot of
linebackers that's probably an explosive
play, catch and run and running away
from him. But uh uh Cody's been a a
solid rock at the Mike linebacker spot.
Just his ability to communicate, get
everybody lined up, um uh put himself in
position to make plays. Cedric has been
as advertised with with regards to how
he plays. Um I think James Williams has
had a really nice camp. uh and and
developing as a uh as a linebacker
coming from being a safety in college.
Um so, you know, just overall it's a
really good group. Um uh still a lot of
growth to be had, but uh but like like
where it's at.
>> Anthony Hill, of course, is that rookie
that we're talking about and that room
is coached by Dave Borggoni. Let's go to
the secondary. Marquan Emanuel um is a
guy that was born to coach football as
well at the safety spot. How about the
guys he's coaching?
>> Yeah. Um really excited about that
group. You know, like um when you look
at the two starters between Hook and uh
Kevin uh Winston, um a lot of
versatility. Hook being a veteran, Kevin
obviously being a uh a young a young
man,
they they play off each other pretty
well. Uh Kate has as as much athleticism
as I think I've ever had. I don't want
to compare to other players. I've had
some really good ones at safety, but his
speed, his range, his violence, it it's
up there with with some of the best ones
that I've coached. And Hook has got such
great instincts and obviously he still
has all his range, too. And then, you
know, Tony Adams as our uh third safety
and uh he's he's going to play a lot of
football, too. He's a he's a reliable
player. He plays fast. He communicates
well. Uh he's got violence to him and uh
and plays with instincts. So, it's it's
a good safety room. Really good safety
room. And uh and it's a group that we
are going to lean on heavily. Tony had
three picks for you when you coached him
for the Jets back in 2023. Had a big one
in practice against the Bears last week.
Okay. The cornerback room, coach, led by
Tony Odin.
>> Oh, yeah. Um, again, same thing with
that group. A lot of new faces and uh we
do strain ourh corners with uh with some
of our coverage principles and their
communication. And I mean, shoot, we had
had a little mix up there in the uh uh
Seattle game in that first drive. But,
uh, you know, um, Alante is really
starting to get his feet underneath him
as a corner. Uh, you know, he's he's
been playing nickel his entire career
and asking him to be a full-time corner.
I think he's really turned the corner
over the last, no pun intended, uh, over
the last like week or so. I think he's
really taken a huge step and, uh, really
excited about where he's at heading into
the season. Uh Flat is a very
instinctual
um uh corner. He does a lot of really
really good things and he's he's
improving with the things that we're
asking him to do also. And uh uh and
then obviously Marcus Harris uh manning
that nickel spot. Uh um really excited
to see how he grows throughout the year.
>> All right, now we got to get to special
teams. One of the legendary coaches in
the league is John Bones Fossil. So well
regarded and you retained him as your
special teams coach. You you bring in
Tommy Townsen, one of the best punters
in the game, coming over from Houston,
won a championship with the Chiefs. Joey
Sly has had an excellent training camp
at kicker and Morgan Cox. Age is not a
number with that guy at Long Snapper.
Tell me about special teams.
>> Uh first off, Bones is like a uh I mean,
it's like a breath of fresh air, man. It
doesn't matter how how crappy your day
is. If if you're if you're in a if
you're if you're having a rough day,
just go into his office. So true. You'll
come out of there feeling feeling like a
million bucks. But, uh, you know, those
guys have been awesome. Uh, obviously
Morgan is just you don't notice him,
which is a good thing. That's what you
want. Uh, Tommy, when he puts his foot
on that ball, man, that thing that thing
goes. And, um, uh, Joey's been super
impressive, man. Like, uh, and I've said
it before, uh, he has a he has a rough
week uh, the blue and white uh,
scrimmage and and next day you got a
bunch of kickers making their way in for
a workout. Like that's there there's a
uh a mental toughness that that needs to
be displayed in that moment. And he's
been he's been nailed since. So
>> yeah, he has. And then of course you got
an allp pro that's your return man in
>> Lou. I'm you know what? I haven't gotten
a chance to see it because it's
preseason. So I'm looking forward to it.
>> Yeah, I bet you are.
>> I've heard it's pretty good.
>> It's a he's a weapon, man. The best in
the league last year. Coach, before we
let you go, anything else you'd like to
say about your staff? Dave Gardy is now
in charge of your football operations.
Uh, your your conditioning team did an
incredible job preparing these guys for
training camp. Just overall, what do you
think of your staff?
>> No, it's been great. I I I messed with
Guardy because he, you know, I was like,
"Gardy, we brought you here because you
know every rule in the book." He does.
So, I'm looking for loopholes. I don't
want to be held held to the fire on
these things. But, uh, no, he's been
he's been awesome, though. You know, any
questions we have. Uh,
>> uh, he's always there to, uh, give a
lending. He's he's not just an
administrator, you know. He's he's a
football guy at heart. uh uh uh comes
from a football family and so having him
here has been incredible. Um you know, I
think our food, our nutrition team is as
good as anybody in football. Uh they've
done an outstanding job. Our cafeteria,
I mean, I I I I wish the cafeteria could
be open to the public cuz it's it's it'd
be a five-star Michelin restaurant, man.
It's it's they do an outstanding job in
there. They really do. And uh uh very
fortunate to have them part of the team.
and uh and our our strength crew, you
know, we've uh you know, full
transparency, there's there's an
adjustment for all of us to to to learn
one another throughout OTAAS and and the
adjustments that we needed to make. And
credit to them being open-minded. Um
they attacked the heck out of the 40
days uh with our players and uh and I do
think this has been one of the more
grueling, difficult training camps uh
that you could put together. Uh and we
managed to do it while getting stronger
in the weight room and maintaining our
health. So, credit to those guys.
They've done an outstanding job all the
way around. And it's time to go win some
football games.
>> You have a lot of confidence. I can see
it and I can hear it as well. And by the
way, Jim Wyatt's in the best health of
his life. No wonder that that cafeteria
is working wonders down there. There's
no question about that.
>> You know, there there there is there is
a section for like the guys who need to
gain weight. Hopefully, he's staying
away from that.
>> More protein in his system. Coach, we
can't wait to do this with you every
single week. I think everybody is so
fired up for the 2026 Titans season.
>> That's gonna be awesome. It's gonna be
awesome.

And now back to the OTP.
Well, throughout training camp here with
the Titans, we had a chance after
practice to talk to the best players on
the team each day, and those interviews
were all available on the Titan social
channels. But let's make them available
right here. Here are the best of all
those interviews we did. Beginning with
the quarterback, Cam Ward.
>> The quarterback, number one, Cam Ward,
with us here. As we approach the end of
training camp, Cam, what's your overall
assessment of how it's gone for you and
the team?
>> Oh, it's been going good. Uh, getting
better each and every day, both sides of
the ball. Um, it's been battle for sure.
We got great guys on both sides. Um then
been a journey you know getting to you
know learn the ins and out of the
offense with Dable not for myself but
for the the receivers the O line running
backs everybody involved in offense
would have been fun.
>> Brian Dable the offensive coordinator
that you just referenced you guys have
had a relationship for a while and in
talking to him he says you're one of the
most coachable people he's ever
encountered that you wanted feedback
instantly and you know he's going to
give it to you in a candid way. You seem
to really respond to that.
>> Uh yeah, it's the it's the only way you
going to get better. Um, you got to be
able to be a coachable no matter what
level you play from high school all the
way to NFL. Um, and he's one of the best
play callers, you know, to be in the NFL
to, you know, establish himself. I mean,
he's been around for a long time. He's
coached great quarterbacks in his past.
Um, and so, you know, I'm taking every
bit of insight that he gives me, Coach
Shay gives me. Um, and I'm really trying
to, you know, tie that to my game and
making myself better and my teammates
better.
>> It's obvious in almost every answer
you've given us how bad you want to win
a championship. You want to create a
championship culture. What do you see
overall with the organization that makes
you believe everybody's headed in the
right direction?
>> Uh, I just think we have a a good head
on our shoulders right now from, you
know, the top, Miss Amy, from all the
way to the Borgani to, you know, Coach
Salah. He's the right guy to have here
to lead us. Um, and we're we're going in
the right direction for sure. Um, we we
make no excuses because we're a young
team. You know, at the end of the day,
you got to play, you know, your best
football on Sunday. Uh, you can have day
you can have a bad day Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, but Sunday, that's where you
got to be your best. We all understand
that we all want to contribute to one
another to win the championship.
>> Okay. Now, this guy said I need to keep
the energy up on my touchdown calls. If
you watch quarterback, you said I need
to keep the enthusiasm high. Are you
going to grade my ability this year
after touchdown calls?
>> I I I'll watch I'll watch a highlight
video of yours by the end of the year
and I'll see.
>> It's my guy. Tighten up. I am here with
the best defensive tackle in the world.
The heart of the Tennessee Titans. A man
that was really ready to hit somebody.
Hit another team for the first time in
over seven months. How good did that
feel?
>> I felt way better than going up against
all guys every day.
>> It was always good to be able to um see
different during training camp. Um
that's a part of it to be able to go
against guys, especially all guys.
Peter, congrats to him. Yeah.
>> Then you got JC. It's a competition each
and every day. And then we come out here
and we showcase what we've been doing
back in Tennessee. I think we had a
pretty pretty good day today.
>> Jeff, I know it's only been a few weeks.
You've gone through the offseason
program though and now you're going
through training camp. try to describe
to all Titans fans what's different
about this 2026 team so far.
>> I tell you when I every every day you
walk into the building just feel
different. You know when we talking
about the energy you talk about the
mindset you I mean I've been in the
locker room I'm hear an offensive guy
come in and and just talk about how how
excited he is just to to be in this new
offense to be with DV and with Cam his
his uh his growth going into year two.
And then on the defensive side, I mean,
having Solo, man, that's that's that
energy on the sideline and his play
call, his aggressiveness. Um, he he we
speak it, he talk about it each and
every day, fast and violent. Um, he
challenged us today to be the most
violent team today. And from the looks
of it on both sides of the field, that's
what we did today.
>> Before he let you run, a lot of these
coaches and people around you said,
"Man, wait till you see him in a 4-3
defense." He was amazing in a three-
four. Wait till you see him in a 4-3. Do
you believe that, too?
>> Most definitely, man. and today showed
um a little bit um of it. And I would
say I'm not there yet. Uh we still got a
long way to go before the first game of
the season. Um this reason why we doing
and having these opportunity to practice
against other team and training camp. Um
I'm not where I want to be at. Um that's
just me being me myself. Very hard on
myself. I got a lot of things to clean
up, but things are going to get real
exciting come September.
>> Here we are. Carnell Tate after his
first training camp practice in the
National Football League. Dream come
true.
>> Uh definitely a dream come true. I mean,
I worked all my life for this moment, so
we're here.
>> Yeah. Tell me about it. How did it go?
>> Uh first day was good. Um getting our
feedback under us, continuing to build
with the team from where we left off in
the spring.
>> What was it like catching balls from Cam
Ward out there today?
>> Uh it felt good. Um still building on a
connection, trying to uh propel into the
season.
>> Your quarterback never takes a day off.
He wants to play football all the time.
Are you like that, too?
>> I'm I'm with him. I'm like that with him
as well. We uh talk after this. We talk
We just FaceTime randomly. Uh talk crap
to each other. We just trying to get
better, doing what's best for this
program.
>> Yep. And I saw you catching a lot of
balls with him during practice and then
you caught some balls with him after
practice. That seems like that chemistry
is just as important as the practice is.
>> Oh yeah, definitely. The more chemistry
you guys have, the more trust he has in
me, then the more times I can go out
there and show up for my team when they
need me.
>> What is the thing that you're
concentrating on these first few weeks
of training camp?
>> Just staying consistent. I think that's
the biggest thing that and that just
shows how good you are as a person, as a
player, and then that also makes sure
the coaches have to trust me. When you
when you consistent, you go out there
and make plays.
>> There's something really cool that
you're doing for the fans. I want you to
tell everybody about what you're doing
here in the next few weeks.
>> Uh so yeah, so whenever the shipment
gets to me this, uh over the next few
weeks, whenever I have all the jersey in
it, u I'll post a spot that each and
everyone can come out there and get a
jersey.
>> Yep.
>> How?
>> And they can find that on your social
media, right?
>> Yeah, it'll be on my social media. First
come, first serve. So yeah, I can't do
nothing about it. always doing something
for the fans. That's absolutely right.
>> Cam to Carnell. I'm ready to say that a
lot this year on the Titans radio
broadcast. Man, we look forward to it.
>> Thank you, my friend.
>> Juan Dale Robinson, brand new receiver
for the Tennessee Titans. He has been
going through camp, having a great camp.
How's it going?
>> It's been great. Um, you know, continue
to develop that chemistry with him and,
um, the rest of the guys on the offense
and just continue to get better each and
every day. I say that you're new, but it
actually you know more about this
offense than the rest of us because
you've been playing for Brian Dable your
throughout your professional career. How
would you describe his offense?
>> Um definitely receiver friendly, player
friendly. Um you have a lot of options
to run a lot of different routes and um
feel like that's what kind of what I do
the best is just kind of make decisions
on the fly and um just being valuable
for the quarterback.
>> Does he coach everybody hard, tell them
the truth all the time?
>> Oh yeah. I mean he doesn't sugarcoat
anything. He's kind of like Cam. So, um,
he's definitely gotten a little bit
better with how mad or angry he he does
get. Sometimes I'm like, I need you to
bring that back out. Um, but no, he's
been great. Um, he's just coaching
everybody, does everything great. Um,
yeah, happy to be with him again.
>> What's that dynamic like with Cam at
quarterback?
>> Oh, man. I mean, I love him. Uh, we're
together so much. It's almost feels like
we just kind of know what each other are
thinking whenever. Um, he might give me
a look and I already know what he's
about, but they single me and want me to
run. So, um, just continue to work with
him.
>> He's throwing you a lot of seeds. We saw
you last year due to injury in part
catch a lot of balls downfield. I know
you have that part of your game, but do
you think we'll see you inside quite a
bit more this year?
>> Yeah, for sure. I say I mean, you know,
if you look at our receiver room, we got
we got some specimens on the outside and
so um I'm excited for that for those
guys and that's going to help me even
more having those safeties get back and
I can work underneath and get a lot of
yak for cam and um just help our offense
go.
>> How important is it to you to play this
close to where you're from?
>> I mean, it's it's awesome. My family
gets to come to every home game. It's
they can drive up on the day of the game
if they would want to. They don't have
to come an hour and I mean a night
before getting on a flight or anything
like that like they had to before. But
uh I mean it's great. It's so awesome.
They were actually here at practice
today. So it's it's great.
>> We can't wipe the smile off this guy's
face. He is so happy to be in Nashville,
Tennessee. And we're thrilled to have
you, my friend. No doubt.
>> Tighten up.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Titans training camp with Gunnar Helm
going into his second year as a tight
end for the Titans.
>> I know everybody asks this. What's the
biggest difference doing this for the
second time as a pro? kind of know your
way around practice-wise. Um, you know
how guys practice. Um, you know, it's
easier to understand NFL defense is in
your second year. Um, I think it's just
all about, you know, having that
consistency and having that um that
experience under your belt. Uh, just
makes you feel a lot more comfortable in
your second season.
>> Specifically, tell me about that
relationship with Cam because it
everyone says what they feel to him and
it's vice versa.
>> Yeah, 100%. Uh yeah, he's one of my best
friends off the field, so um you know,
we can get into it sometimes if one of
us disagree with one another. Um but um
you know, like I said, brothers fight
and uh we always find a way to bounce
back and uh make it better.
>> What do you think makes this
organization have a championship culture
as you go into your number two?
>> I think the guys that just have the want
and the will. Um you know, not just for
oursel, but um you know, we know that
Nashville is a big sports town. Um you
know, we got the pres here. We got, you
know, soccer's coming along uh pretty
well and uh, you know, we just want to
do really well for the fans. Um, you
know, they deserve it.
>> What about the Horns in 2026?
>> Going to be unbelievable. U going to be
there game one. I'm really excited. Um,
you know, Arch finally started to catch
fire at the end of the year. Um, you
know, they got a great tight end room,
great receivers, always going to have a
good defense, great championship.
>> Just for you. Just for you. Yes, sir.
>> Okay, tighten up. Thank you, man.
>> Absolutely. Training camp interviews end
with Mr. Thousandyard rusher Tony Pard.
Oh, wait a minute. And a special and a
special guest.
>> And a special guest,
>> Taj Spears is in the running backs. Tell
me how everything's going TP through
training camp.
>> Um, I feel like we've had a great
training camp. You know, just growing
throughout the course of time and just
getting closer together, getting a feel
for how we play with each other and
going out there executing. It seems like
the two of you have one of the best
dynamics in the NFL that you feed off
each other. It's you're competitive with
each other, you cheer for each other
that it's a a really good vibe the two
of you have.
>> Uh I feel like it's a relationship that
we building daily. Um it's a lot of
things y'all see on the field, but
there's a lot of things that y'all don't
see like us holding each other
accountable, us pulling through for each
other, us encouraging each other. So
yeah, it's a lot people don't see. Now,
a lot of us look at you as this mo this
dual threat out of the back field and
you are catching a lot of balls, but
maybe the catch of practice today comes
from number 20 Tony Pard. How about how
about that grab that you had in
practice?
>> Uh yeah, just a little little old
flashback, you know, uh back in my
Memphis days at receiver.
>> He tried to be like modest about Tony
Pard. You ain't going to throw Tony P
the ball.
>> You threw Tony P the ball. You saw what
happened. Taj, tell me about the culture
on offense this year with a new coaching
staff, secondyear quarterback and Cam
Ward. How's everything going?
>> Um, we getting a lot of stuff in daily,
but we coming together as a group. Um,
we getting to know each other. We
spending more time with each other and
we building that bond that's going to
carry us throughout the season.
>> I know you want to win big time. It's
time, isn't it?
>> Yeah, it is time. It is time.
>> Tighten up.
>> Big number 77, Peter Skaransky,
congratulations on the contract. I know
you're ready to move on and talk some
football, but to all Titans fans out
there, it had to be pretty awesome to
get the response you've gotten from
everyone.
>> Yeah, I mean, everyone's been
unbelievably supportive and and
appreciative of me and I'm equally as
thankful and appreciative of everyone
and um blessed to be here and be in this
environment with the fans and
organization and just all around awesome
feeling.
>> Tell me what you're thinking right now
about this upcoming season and where
your mind is. mine. I mean, it's hard to
think too far ahead in training camp
right now. It's like next objective is
going to San Francisco and practicing
them against against them in 48 hours,
you know? So, that's like training camp,
you're always seeing it one day at a
time and just trying to grow every
single day. And so, I think the
mentality of looking through our next
season and, you know, worried about what
we're going to do in week one or week
five or week 18 is is can get
distracting. So, I think it's about us
and how we can improve day by day.
>> Your head coach, Robert Salah, talks
about being fast and violent. How can
offensive linemen like yourself do that?
>> Yeah, I mean you can't be too fast or
too violent or else you might uh end up
on your face. But um yeah, it's it's a
mentality I think and so it may not mean
you know us hitting 20 miles per hour
running. But it might be mean, you know,
exploding off the snap, you know,
getting in the line of scrimmage,
throwing your hands, being physical with
your punch. Um a variety of things you
could be you can have violent
fundamentals um without being
overaggressive and being, you know,
doing too much. One of your biggest fans
is going up against you, Jeffrey
Simmons. He is a huge supporter of
yours. What's it like going up not just
against him, but all the other guys that
are around him now?
>> Yeah, I mean, this defense is a huge
challenge. I mean, the the front is
designed to challenge offensive line and
and make our jobs hard, and they're
trying to attack and disrupt. Um, and
you know, you have the best defensive
tackle in the league now in that in that
technique. And, um, you know, we're
actually pretty lucky because we have
someone like that to go against every
day. And then now we get into the season
and everything feels a little bit easier
because you know we're not going against
big Jeff on Sundays. But um yeah, it's
it's a huge challenge. I think like I
said, I think we're blessed and lucky to
have what we have right now on this
defensive line to challenge us right now
and to make us better and it's going to
pay dividends. So man, thanks buddy.
>> Tackling machine Cedric Gray is with us
as we're outside of Titans camp. Tell me
what it's like to be a Titan with this
new coaching staff.
>> Yeah, I mean it's it's really exciting.
Um excited about the new staff. Uh Coach
Sala, um Gus on the defensive side of
the ball. Um has been very exciting. Um
you know, they have a lot of history in
this league, a lot of success in this
league, and I think they have brought
that to this defense and this team. Um
so just very excited to continue to
learn from them and grow throughout
camp.
>> 33 was all over the football field last
year. I was I was saying tackle made by
Gray, it felt like on every single play.
How does this new system change you at
all? Yeah, I mean I don't think it
changed me that much at all. Um I think
it changes in a in a coverage aspect a
little bit. Um this defense is a little
bit more uh vision and and playing top
down and breaking on the ball and
different things like that which creates
a lot of opportunities for big hits and
kind of keeping everything in front of
us. Um but I like to call myself an
instinctual player. I feel like that was
why I was able to have so many tackles
and to get to the ball. Um, so I feel
like that's going to continue to be me
and continue to be my play style.
>> Competing against your teammates every
day is a lot of fun for all of us to
watch. The defense wants to win each
day. You don't want to do those
push-ups. You want the offense to do it.
What's the back and forth like against
the offense, especially with the
quarterback.
>> Oh, it's it's been a very very
competitive camp. Obviously, you
probably noticed it a little bit. Guys
have been chirping. It's been very
competitive. So, that's very exciting.
And I think, like I said, that's a part
of creating the culture of of who we're
going to be. We're not going to take no
from nobody. We're going to compete
and we're going to stick together and be
a team.
>> And what I love is after it gets so
intense in practice, you're brothers
again, right? Doesn't matter what side
of the ball you play on.
>> Yep. Yep. That's that's always the
model. You know, in between the
whistles, we hate each other, but after
that, we love on each other. We dap each
other up, and we're still a team.
>> Would you tell everyone watching what GD
TB A T means?
>> It's a great day to be a Tar Hill, baby.
Tighten up too.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Thank you, man.
>> Here with brand new Titan John Franklin
Myers. I don't think anybody really
calls him that. He is JFM everywhere he
goes. How's it feel to be a Titan?
>> It feels amazing. I mean, back with the
people. I love new place. You see, new
new environment. I mean, you see the
excitement, intensity, man. I love it. I
love every second of we out there. We
getting better, making each other
better, talking mess while we do it. And
man, this is football. Speaking of
talking miss, your buddy Jeffrey
Simmons, your brand new teammate, does a
lot of that. And I can tell you love the
energy on the defensive line.
>> Yeah. I mean, there's nobody like him,
man. And you know, you only hear the
stories until you get here, you
experience it. You say, "Man, this is
actually about 10 times worse than I
thought it'd be."
>> And uh, man, I love it. I love every
second of it. The crazy part about it is
he was doing it and and it was just him.
And now, you know, we're we're swarming
together. We're talking mess with him.
And man, there's 11 of us at a time. Uh
11 of us come out, 11 more come in and
we do the same thing. It's amazing.
>> Aaron White Cider, your defensive line
coach has been a fan of yours for a long
time. You've worked for him for several
years. Try to describe what a defensive
line under his leadership was.
>> You going to play with violence, you
going to play with effort, you going to
play with passing. You know, it's
intensity in every play. Everything that
we do, but there's a standard that we
have to uphold. It starts with Jeff, me,
Germaine, Si Jordan. I mean those guys
we lead the room and everybody else
follows and we understand that you
understand that the team goes as we go
and so any play that we take off that's
a play the team doesn't get better we
can't have that
>> JFM last year you got ready to play Cam
Ward in your first game of the season as
a meant for Bronco what did you think of
Pam when you competed against him last
year what do you think of him now
>> I think he's a great player and
truthfully again another one of those
things that you get around him you see
the person you see the work and all you
should do is respect him he's going to
show up to work. He's going to talk
mess, man. We're we're hunting him. You
know, this is this is an acclamation.
We're getting used to each other, but
man, we're talking mess. We're hunting
him. And he loves it. He wants to
compete. He wants to get better. You go
against the best, you better get better.
>> Aaron White told me after you played for
the Rams, you were injured, you got
caught after that. You and he says that
was a huge moment in your life that made
you the player you are now. Why?
>> I would say just adversity. you know,
something that, you know, you don't
experience first time on getting cut and
you can you can look at that. You can
say, man, maybe this football stuff is
and formal, you can say, look, I'm going
to use that as an a lesson, an example.
I'm going to be better and I'm going
make my team better from then, you don't
have to look back.
>> You're going to make the Titans better.
>> Yes, sir. No, no doubt about it.
>> Thank you, my friend.

Did the defense win today?
>> We did. We had to get a dub on our belt.
Yesterday we lost.
We are here with brand new Titans
defensive back Cordell Flot.
>> Yes, sir.
>> How's it feel to be in Nashville?
>> Feel great. I feel welcomed here by the
team, the city, and the fans. And I'm
excited to get going.
>> What is the coach's message about
building a culture here this early in
training camp?
>> More so of the brotherhood, which we
already built in OTAAS. Now, right now,
we working on like I said, flying
around, being gritty, you know, all gas,
no break.
Speaking of brotherhood, I have noticed
that Lifelong Tennessee and Alante
Taylor is on your hip at all times and
vice versa. The two of you go everywhere
together.
>> That is true. Yeah, we train together.
Everything we did from yoga, from
recovery to on the field, things off
field, we train together. That's just
who we want to be. Our goal is to be the
best duo on the league.
>> The entire secondary. Tell us uh tell
Titans fans what you've noticed from the
guys around you.
>> Everybody gritty. That's what I love
about the guys. even hook the safety
just how you know they bonding together
off field you know doing team meetings
and doing meetings and stuff like that
so that we can all communicate and be
able to play fast and I'm excited for
it.
>> Cordell, you come from the New York
Giants. Your head coach last year was
Brian Dable who's the offensive
coordinator now for the Titans. Does he
talk a lot to you out there?
>> He talk trash now. You get on the day
ball hip, he'll talk trash to you. He
going to give it to you. So
>> now of course there's another guy that
you played with named Juan Dale
Robinson. You've been going up against
him forever. long time.
>> Yeah.
>> Long, long time, man. I actually hate
going up against them, but it's getting
me better. So,
>> all right. Before we let you go,
Cordell, just tell us a little bit about
you, how you tick, what you're
passionate about, and how you fallen in
love with Nashville.
>> Yeah, I'm passionate about obviously
football. Um, I'm glad that Solid
brought me on. He was first mentioned
that when we was on the phone, he loved
my passion from what he heard from other
guys. Uh, bringing to Nashville, I'm
bring a good person, a solid character.
You know, I love interacting with the
fans. I love my teammates and stuff like
that. So, I'm just looking to build that
chemistry and keep growing here.
>> That's awesome. Well, look for number 18
out there on the field. And if you don't
see the number and he's already taken
off the jersey, you can always find
this.
>> You can find the chain Cordell. Great to
have you, man. I appreciate you.
>> The all pro. He's back for an encore.
Chim DK. How does training camp number
two feel different than this time last
year?
>> Yeah, I mean, it feels great, you know,
just um coming out here being more
comfortable. Um obviously new coaching
staff, but um the way we've been
competing, I love our room. Um Coach G's
been pushing us. So, um, you know, it's
been a lot of fun.
>> Why does Bones Fossil seem to get the
best out of his special teams every
year?
>> He creates a belief. Um, you know, all
the guys believe in each other. Um, he
believes in me back there. He believes
in all the guys, um, that are fighting
for me and and, um, that are protecting
and doing all the things. And he just
instills that belief and that
competitiveness us. And we don't want to
let him down. We play hard for bones and
um, you know, he gives us the techniques
to be successful.
>> You're giving a lot of examples of
people that have done this for a long
time at a high level. Some coaches. I
know that the entire organization wants
to establish a championship culture. Can
you feel that happening?
>> Oh, for sure. The standard that um Coach
Sol um brought in and held us to the
competitiveness we have at practice. Um
we're going to keep building. We're to
keep um becoming a better program. Um
and I'm I'm looking forward to winning
football um to come to Tennessee.
>> Things are going great for you
professionally, but personally, I think
Miss Lexi got a ring this off season. We
talked about all her success playing
hockey.
What are your nerves like on game day to
compare to you going down like that?
>> See, it actually helped me because I
pros in the afternoon. So, I treated it
as though it was like a night game, you
know, cuz I was nervous when I woke up.
So, it's a night game. We have a night
game. You kind of got to be calm
throughout the day. So, um she said she
had an idea, but she was thrown off
because I was so calm. Um so, I
attributed to my my football uh mindset.
>> You were feeling it though. Butterflies.
>> Yeah, I was feeling it. I was nervous. I
just wanted to go well and for it to be
a special day for her. So,
>> man, great job with that. Uh do we have
a date? Yep,
>> we do. June 19th. So
>> June 19th next year. Okay. All right.
>> Down here in Nashville. So it should be
good.
>> You got a lot of great things happening
for you. Can't wait to watch you this
year.
>> Thank you, my friend. Appreciate you.
>> Our training camp tour continues with
another brand new Tennessee Titan.
Germaine Johnson coming over from the
New York Jets. How's it feel to be in
Nashville, Jermaine?
>> Feels amazing, man. Um I played pretty
much all my college in the South and you
know, I couldn't wait to get back down
here and obviously reunited with some uh
familiar faces. So everything's going
great. I have zero complaints. Just got
married. Uh, got two beautiful children.
I'm I'm just in a great place right now.
So,
>> yeah. I mean, if you look at the stats,
it would suggest that you played your
best football when Robert Salah was
calling the defense. Is that how how you
believe it?
>> Yeah. Uh, for sure, 100%. I mean,
there's just there's no defense uh
specifically defensive front like this
one in all of football. Um, I mean it
just lets I I like to say it it keeps
things simple and stupid, but at the
same time uh it takes a special kind of
uh a special kind of player and person
to be able to uh execute this uh this
defensive front cuz it's it's extremely
violent. It's extremely um tenacious and
a ton of effort and not everybody can do
it and um obviously we have all the
right pieces to be able to do it.
>> How do you establish that championship
culture with this team this year?
>> Uh a standard. Everybody's got to be
held to a standard and uh I mean that's
everybody, coaches, players. Um
it's that simple. Uh you like you know
and you got to look yourself in the
mirror and that's why that's where high
character guys come into play cuz when
you got somebody who can be their big
their own biggest critic and be like ah
that wasn't enough or I had more in the
tank or I really emptied the tank today
and now okay cool. What are you going to
do when you get off the field? You going
to go get in the training room? You
going to go watch some tape? Like how
bad do you want And I think um coach
Sala got a lot of high character guys in
this building.
>> You have earned everything you've
gotten, man. Welcome to Nashville, man.
Thank you for your time today.
>> Yes, sir. Thank you.
>> First round draft pick, Kendrick Faulk
is with us next. And coming off what I
thought was a good performance in your
first preseason game. What did you
think?
>> Uh man, it was a couple things that I
did really well. A couple things that I
feel like uh I could have did way way
better. Um I do it better in practice.
Uh, and now I just I just need to carry
it over from practice to the game.
>> You know, I did a lot of your games at
Auburn in college and we would have
Friday production meetings with you and
you would always say the same thing. You
said, "Man, I just need to keep getting
better. I know there's a new gear I can
get to." Are you saying the same thing
again now at the pro level?
>> It's the same thing, man. The great guys
in this league, uh, they always say they
got something better to work on. And,
uh, that's what I want to be. I want to
be one of the great guys in the league.
Uh, so to be that is always gonna be
something to work on.
>> The last interview we did here was with
Jeffrey Simmons and in this interview he
said, "Keldendrick Faulk is asking me a
ton of questions. What is that dynamic
like?"
>> Um, it's like it's like big bro and
little bro. Uh, man, he's the vet. So,
and he played a lot of ball. So, um, any
and every question I got, I go to him.
Jay, Jermaine, JFM, I go to all them
guys. Um, and they're not scared to give
me any information on anything. Uh they,
like I said, my vets make this as easy
as possible. The transition has been fun
because my vets are I I probably got the
best vets in the in the country with it.
>> Well, what is the biggest thing you want
to do, Kellrick, between now and the
first game in the regular season to get
ready?
>> Uh
man, just
keep improving. Um that's my biggest
thing. I ain't really got no specific,
you know, pass, run, none of that.
uh just want to keep improving and
everything. Uh because man, you know, we
got to see in our room. We don't want no
weak links and uh I don't want to be a
weak link. So, you know, I I want to
make sure that I put my best foot
forward and uh keep improving day by
day. Never stay the same, always get
better.
>> Well, it's like Gus Bradley just told us
coming off the field, he's got the best
attitude. He's ready to work. Glad
you're here, Kel.
>> Yes, sir.
>> Thank you, man. So, even on a day where
they're not in pads, we still have to do
interviews because we have a legend, a
ball for life, a lifelong Tennessee, a
Titan for life as well. Year 17
>> for Morgan Cox, the long snapper. How we
feeling?
>> Feeling great. Feeling awesome. Yeah.
Still out here hanging with the
20-year-olds, you know.
>> Literally, one of our last guests is 20.
Kendrick Faulk is 20 and you are
>> Yeah, I am 40. I am 40. Literally double
his age. It is what it is. I can just
tell though the juices are still
flowing. You still feel like you have a
lot more to give the game of football as
a player.
>> Yeah, I I mean I I love being out here.
I mean, the heat is tough, but it's, you
know, it's one of those things. Every
time you do something hard, it it makes
you uh builds confidence, and I get to
come out here and compete. I got the
best job in the world.
>> Yesterday, we had uh Tommy Townsen and
Joey Sly, your best buddies on the team,
the kicker and the punter on, and I know
how important a great dynamic with those
guys is. How is it so far?
>> It's been great. I mean, we uh we've,
you know, through offseason and through
now through training camp and stuff,
it's been great working with them. All
of us have been different places and all
have seen uh success and so being able
to bring that all together and have a
great chemistry um not only on the field
but off the field and and on the golf
course occasionally too. Uh uh you know,
that's where we felt that you know, the
best chemistry is built. So,
>> well, you need four players and so
usually it's the two of us going up
against the uh the two of them. You are
so good at your craft, the best in the
game. You made the all century team
because I don't think you ever misplace
one of those long snaps. I got to get
inside your technique here. When you
turn around,
>> yeah,
>> what are you what are you looking at
before you get down in that crouch?
>> On a you're talking about on a field
goal, what I'm looking for is is Joey's
rhythm. So everything is kind of built
on on uh on rhythm and timing and
everything. So when I see Joey kind of
step to the side, I know it's my queue.
so I can go grab go down and grab the
ball. I don't want to be like looking
between my legs uh for a whole lot of
time because I don't want to think, you
know, it's kind of like standing over a
swing. I don't want to think about it a
whole lot. The other thing that that
helps is the offensive linemen don't
have to sit in a stance for super long.
>> Um but then when Joey takes the steps,
uh you know, I go grab the ball and uh
Tommy calls for it and it's ready to go
>> and it works every time. Okay, here's
the most important question. You have
represented this is you're from here.
>> Yep. Yeah.
>> You went to school here
>> in Memphis.
>> And yes, you're from Memphis. You went
to school in Knoxville and you live here
in Middle Tennessee. You are as much a
lifelong Titan in Tennessee and as
anybody. And I know everyone says,
"Morgan, I want to build a championship
culture. I want to see the Titans
compete for championships." What are you
noticing right now with the
organization? you know, I I notice uh
competition um and and the not only out
out on the field, but guys in the locker
room, they're they're you know, as as
the saying goes, uh iron sharpens iron.
One man sharpens another. So, we're out
here, you know, the guys are battling
and and fighting and you see the
leadership on the team, Cam, Jeff, those
guys um love competing with one another
and those guys, you know, get after it
at practice and so and then you got
Coach Salah who's who's uh who's putting
everybody in the right position. I think
we got a we got a great team. Something
something special is building.
>> Well, I love that you're a part of it.
You will not find a better human in the
world than this guy right here. Best
long snapper there is, Morgan Cox.
Tighten up.
>> Yes, sir. Tighten up.
>> All right. Now, some guys that are
specialists for the Titans, the punter,
Tommy Townsen, my man, the kicker, Joey
Sly. May or may not be some golf buddies
as well, so we might get some golf
questions in. Joey, um, everybody's
raving about your trip to San Francisco.
How would you assess how things went in
the Bay Area?
>> Uh, it was also, uh, obviously a good
game. Um, opportunity to get a lot of
big field goals in. Uh, opportunity just
capitalize on some good opportunities
the team gave me.
>> And you're coming off of a year where
you made the most field goals in
franchise history over 50 yards. I know
you love being a weapon when you see
this team cross midfield.
>> Yeah, I mean, uh, it's something that I
want to use as a calling card for
myself. I feel like I've had that in my
career. Um, going into year eight now.
And, uh, just get an opportunity to get
around that 50 yard line. Blood starts
flowing a little bit more. Got to knock
him down off of the the plus 50 punt.
>> It makes me feel a lot better about not
having to hit him, you know, when we get
too close to the 40. And
>> I was just about to say, Tommy's like,
"Well, nope, no, no, no. You stay back.
Joey, you go in."
>> We're having a rock, paper, scissors
match in the net beforehand. Like, are
we going to punt this or are we going to
kick it? So,
>> this guy's got a cannon for a leg. This
guy's got a cannon for a leg. one of the
best punters in the National Football
League throughout your professional
career. What's it like to be a Titan?
>> Oh my gosh, it's it's amazing. I mean,
Titans have always been a, you know, a
top team that I've always wanted to play
for and uh and now to have the
opportunity to be here. It's um it's
been amazing. We have an incredible
special teams group with Joey and Morgan
and obviously Stu and uh and Bones, you
know, um being the being the head guys
for us. Um it's incredible. You know, we
have we've got we've got a great group
and you know, we're building great
things with the team here, too. And uh
yeah, just excited for the season.
>> I know how this guy challenges himself
all the time. Uh in practice one day,
this guy comes over to me and says,
"Last three flushed 340 down the
middle." Nice golf reference there. Um
how do you hold yourself accountable,
Tommy, to reach an even higher level?
>> Yeah, I mean, it's it's just not, you
know, getting complacent. Uh you know, I
was talking to uh Kern today. He came
out and um you know I asked him to look
at a couple things in the swing and um I
was telling him there were a couple of
the punts that were coming off just a
little bit dinky and um and I was kind
of upset with him and he's like he's
like no like they're still good balls
this and that but um but you know
internally I mean when I turn a ball
over I hit a spiral I turn it over you
know I want it to be my aball every time
and uh and you know that just it's that
self myself holding myself to a you know
very high standard of um you know
wanting every punt to be perfect and I
mean not everyone is but uh but yeah
just, you know, holding myself to that
standard.
>> A punt that goes 65 plus yards or a
coffin corner inside the five. Which
would you rather?
>> Uh oh jeez.
>> Pretty sure he can dang near say both. I
think he hit one last year.
>> He's the best in the game at both. By
the way,
>> um I'd say end of the game, coughing
corner, dropping on like the two yardd
line. That's that's a pretty good feel
and I get pretty amped up.
Joey, this guy's added to what is an
unbelievable dynamic with the
specialist. I mean, you add Morgan Cox,
who's the best long snapper and has been
forever with you and with him. It just
seems like you guys have such a strong
connection.
>> Yeah, I think there's a huge emphasis on
forever with Morgan, too. I think he's I
think he's probably played football for
forever. But, no, just uh I mean, you
have a gold standard in Morgan. You have
one of the best that's that's doing it
right now in the league with one of the
strongest legs. Um, I honestly kind of
see like me and Tommy are in a very
similar position. When we're at our
best, I think we're the best at our
position. And so, it's just kind of
continually challenging ourselves
throughout the season, just saying like,
hey, how could we really be as
individuals and then together as a unit,
I think, is really important. And then
that just kind of competitive brother
battle. He's the younger brother. I was
a younger brother. So, I think we kind
of got that in our DNA going pretty well
right now.
>> Boys, we have something special
happening with the specialists this
year. Glad all three of you are going to
be here. We'll talk to Morgan in just a
minute, but it's great to talk to both
of you. Appreciate you.
>> Of course, man. Appreciate it.
>> And we got to get you on the course here
soon.
>> Yes, you do. Absolutely.
>> Well, we hope you enjoyed this edition
