Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 Recap | LIEUTENANT MONTY IS A DUMMY!!! | Prime Video
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
In this recap of *Reacher* Season 4, Episode 6, titled "Plum," the hosts discuss the high-stakes escape where Reacher and Tamara flee Plum in search of the mysterious Alquist while facing constant police pursuit. The episode is praised for its fast-paced narrative that packs significant plot developments into a short runtime, confirming earlier theories about character dynamics. A major revelation discussed is the budding romantic tension between Officer Green and Jacob, which validates previous predictions made by the hosts regarding their relationship, despite initial skepticism from one of the commentators who initially misidentified the characters involved in the subplot.
The conversation also delves into the moral complexities surrounding the fate of Plum, a character beloved by the hosts, who was left bleeding out in a warehouse while Reacher and Tamara attempted to escape. The hosts analyze the decision-making process that led to this dangerous situation, noting that while Plum's uncle was not corrupt, his naivety contributed to the crisis. Furthermore, they speculate on the identity of the traitor within their group who allowed hostile forces to infiltrate the warehouse, questioning whether it was Plum or someone else, and highlighting the irony of Amisha and Leila attempting to sell a weapon of mass destruction to a powerful figure from Wakanda while hiding their true intentions.
Beyond the plot analysis, the hosts reflect on the action choreography and character interactions, particularly Reacher's bonding moment with Tamara in the bus, which helped bridge the gap between them after her previous trauma with large men. They also critique the scene where Reacher is incapacitated by electricity, agreeing that it humanizes his character by showing he is not invincible, though they express frustration that Reacher should have been smarter about trusting a fake lawyer. Additionally, the episode's ending introduces a mysterious new ally, a tall man with cornrows who commands the loyalty of Leila and Amisha, leaving viewers curious about his background and role in the upcoming conflict.
Finally, the hosts touch upon the corrupt nature of Jacob's uncle and the suspicious behavior of the police officers transporting him, suggesting that these elements will play a crucial role in saving Reacher and Tamara later on. They emphasize that while Jacob faces new troubles as he discovers their woes are just beginning, the show maintains its momentum with two episodes remaining. The recap concludes with a call to action for viewers to subscribe to both hosts' channels for more content, including future workout videos featuring muscle-ups, and encourages the audience to share their thoughts on the episode's twists and turns in the comments section.

Hey, what's going on everyone? Me and
Lamont are back. This is Reacher. Season
4, episode 6, titled Plum. Out of luck,
on the run from the police. Reacher and
Tamara leave town in search of the
mysterious Alquist, but they end up in
trouble. Meanwhile, in Philadelphia,
Jacob and Plum must face their own
problems. Lamont, when we got the end of
the last episode, my guy, they had that
Kurambe blade up to Jacob's neck and
Tamar Tamara was pointing the gun about
to blow Amisha and Miss Leila away. And
um that's where we pick up. How do you
feel about this episode? Was it great?
It was short. It was only like 38
minutes, which no complaints over here.
But how'd you feel, man, about this uh
latest episode of Reacher?
>> Fantastic episode, man. I've really been
enjoying this this show and this season.
I don't understand why it's not kind of
picking up online in terms of the
reviews. I'm wondering are people
actually watching it because it is a
fantastic show and I really enjoyed this
episode and it felt short. It felt like
it was a lot going on packed into a
small amount of time and um a lot of
things that me and you foreshadowed that
I pinpointed to you came true. We got
confirmation and I can't wait for you to
say Lamont, you was right.
>> What we get confirmation on? I'm I'm
What you talking about? Let Let me know
now.
>> That Officer Green Officer Green likes
um Ben. Excuse me. I always get it I
always get them confused with the
nephew. Um it's not Ben, it's um
>> Jacob.
>> Jacob. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> The the the guy that had the the knife
to his neck that was bleeding.
>> Yep. Yep.
>> What? What about him? You said we
couldn't trust him.
>> I said we couldn't trust him, but I also
said there was a budding relationship
love attraction going on between him and
Officer Green in our second review. And
you was like, "Really?" I was like,
"Yeah." You was like, "Really?" I was
like, "Yeah, yeah."
>> So, what am I missing? How did that come
true in this episode? Am I Did I miss a
scene? Am I tripping?
>> Uh, you don't you don't recall when
Reacher said when she was like, she was
looking at Reacher, he got cut up and he
broke down how she don't like big burly
men like him.
>> She likes some like Jacob. And he
basically said, "You don't think that I
know that you like Jacob?
And she was like, "Stay out of my
business." Or whatever she said.
>> No, I know. I remember that scene, but
no way in nowhere in that scene did I
get that she likes Jacob. I think that
Rachel was just talking to get her
off of uh his back, but that I didn't
think that was an indication that she
cuts for him. No, he was making a joke
like, "Okay, cuz they're polar opposite.
Reacher is a Hulk figure. He's like
teeny weeny puny looking." And so it's
like, "Hey, okay. Well, if you don't
like me, then you must you must like
that." I think he was just talking
shite. But you think that
>> So, so you're not picking up on the
vibes that them two like each other. You
It's just
>> No, no, not at all. I If I'm wrong, I'm
wrong. And And y'all can let me let me
let me know in the comments like, "B,
you tripping, man. You don't see it
because she winked at him and you know
D." No, no. I think there's a more ch I
don't think this is going to happen. I
don't want it to happen, but I think
it's more of a chance that Reacher and
Tamara will get together before Tamara
and Jacob.
>> But you know something? You know
something that's messed up in my
opinion? They was going to leave Plum to
die in the warehouse.
>> Yeah.
>> Jacob was the only one that was like,
"Okay, we need to get him to the
hospital." They was like, "Well, if you
take him to the hospital, you know,
they're going to be asking questions.
You know, we can we should just leave
him here." I don't think they just said
we should just leave him here or
something because No, I think that they
said the cops are on the way and uh but
and he's like well by Richer said by the
time they get here uh you know no Jacob
said by the time they get here he'll be
dead. But I think that's kind of messed
up that they was going to like leave him
like that you know like what what are
your thoughts there as far as that's
concerned?
>> Uh it is messed up because Plum is one
of my favorite characters. I like his
character on this show. He brings a good
dynamic to these individuals. And I have
to give Be Avery his flowers on one
thing. He said that if he really didn't
trust someone between Jacob and the
uncle, it would be the uncle. Now, the
uncle's not corrupt.
>> Right. Right.
>> Which is what I assume be Avery was
speaking upon. But trust is trust
nonetheless. And we saw how this uncle
treated and they foreshadowed it. Like
we knew it. We we knew it from the phone
call to all the questions he was asking.
You could see it coming and I just want
to make sure that be a get his flowers
on that. He saw that one.
>> Oh, thanks, man. I I I do appreciate it.
No, no big deal. Yeah, he wasn't
corrupt. He was just a dumbass.
>> Uh very naive. Uh out of shape.
>> Yeah.
>> Um it it really did piss me off. I was
kind of laughing getting tickle out of
it because Jacob was so frustrated like,
"No, I don't need an attorney. I didn't
do anything wrong. We can't go to the
police. It's the police. It's the FBI.
It's the freaking CIA. And I don't know.
He's like just screaming and just please
believe me. And you know his uncle's
like, "Oh, okay." That that's just one
of the most
>> right
>> frustrating things in the world. Like
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's
>> How did you feel though about how the
episode popped off? I mean, yeah. Uh
what is his name again? The I just said
it. Plum. He got shot. He's bleeding
out. But the men that came in there and
just started shooting up the place.
>> Who were they?
>> I guess that was uh
>> where did that come from?
>> Right. Who Who's on the inside? That's
why I'm telling you.
>> That's why like a part of me kind of
don't trust Jacob. Like how did they pop
up?
>> Well, be Avery. Unless you saying it was
Plum.
How did they pop up? It could have been
Plum. Yeah.
>> I mean, it could have been I mean, could
be could be the greatest theatrics we've
ever seen. Wow. But how did they know to
come there, get both of them? Only the
only people that knew where they was at
was the people in that room.
>> Unless the sen the guy running for
governors got reacher's phone being
tracked somehow some way. Other than
that, nobody else knew what was in the
room. And they knew exactly what they
wanted. They wanted that disc. I mean
that scan disc.
>> Yeah.
>> So,
>> you tell me um who who who's the rat up
in that piece and who's not?
>> Yeah, I don't know because Yeah, that's
a good question because they uh Leila
and Amisha was fighting them and of
course Reacher and team were were
fighting them as well. So, that's just I
was just kind of curious on that right
there. But, you know, you uh y'all let
us know what you think about that. Um,
what do you think Amisha and Leila's
plan is? They had a bunch of henchmen,
uh, Fannon, uh, cannon fodder at the
warehouse. They're opening crates,
taking out guns, getting ready to like
they're going to go into war. Seems like
she has two engineers or scientists over
there doing the technology, you know, a
coding and AI and this and that. Like,
what what are they trying to make? What
are they trying to do? What do you
think?
It looked like they trying to make a
weapon. And it's it's rather ironic. We
got a little bit of backstory on those
two ladies. And we learned that um
the the guy running for governor,
>> the person in the picture with him is
old girl's husband or whatever,
ex-husband, whatever. I guess he's dead,
deceased. So, I think we've got a little
bit of revenge going on with them trying
to sell some kind of weapon of mass
destruction to the black king that we
saw at the very end. And we didn't
really get to see his face and learn
more about him, but it sounds like they
are working on some chemical concoction
that is going to do a whole lot of
damage and they are willing to die for
it because they feel like if they don't
get it right, they going to die.
>> Yeah. Interesting. like who who are they
afraid to report to? Cuz the this black
king guy that you just described with
their martial arts skills, you know,
unless he just some grand master, which
I doubt, you know, they seem like they
should be able to take him out just like
this. So, I'm I'm kind of curious who
they uh cuz Amisha did say that she has
to keep the promises that she made to
some other people. So, I am interested
in seeing what that's about. Um
>> he's from Wakanda. He's from Wakanda.
>> I forgot what you got written down here
though for the congressman's wife, the
white lady. I definitely don't trust her
ass.
>> The way that she was talking to her. I
hell no.
>> I told you.
>> See, man. Yeah. I think I I may have
even believed you the first time, but
yeah, she she need to go. She She needs
to get out of there,
>> you know. Uh, I mean,
>> maybe they're trying to set us up in,
you know, banana and the tail pipe type
trickery, mirrors and stuff, but I'm
just like, "Oh, hell no. You are
>> I I could be wrong, but I I'm if I had
to bet some money, you know, it it would
be on her as far as being somebody
corrupt that um, you know, that that we
we can't trust um or whatever. So, I
don't know, man. We're gonna have to see
after this episode right here. Um, you
know, we just got two more left. Um, do
you think it's a ch So, in season one,
Reacher smashed
um Rosco.
Okay. In season two,
um, he in season three, he smashed
Duffy.
Uh, in season two, I forgot her name,
but he did smash his old partner. Um, I
forgot her name, but yeah, he's smashing
every season. Uh, he smashed Leila this
season as well. Is he going to smash
tomorrow?
>> No, because tomorrow is going to smash
with Jacob. No.
>> Okay, I'm being silly.
>> What you No.
>> How do you feel about their bonding
experience in the bottom of the bus?
>> Love him. Yeah.
>> Him. because because he he was able to
change her image of a big monstrous
goon, which is what she had as a
previous boyfriend, you know, and she
even kind of mentioned that. So, I
enjoyed the way they bonded. And um
Reach is going to be right there making
sure that her and Jacob have a good
relationship together. And the reason
why I asked her that I was being dumb. I
was being silly. But at the same time, I
think that she was kind of jealous of
Reacher smashing the crazy lady Lola Ala
because she was like, "Oh, she done
sexed you up." You know, how did how did
she know that she has a big scar? Did
you have a big scar right there if she
didn't see you naked? And then Rachel
responded. She could have left it alone,
but she kept throwing out little jabs
like, "Yeah, she sexed you up so she can
get what she want and she tricked you."
And I don't know. It kind of came off a
bit like I wish you would, you know, wax
my ass like that. It's been a while. It
been eight months, you know. Am am
I am I right or am I wrong? Cuz women
women like to dip their toe and dip out
quick too sometime. I'm just saying.
It's it's you know, they may not admit
it, but it it happens. You you know
this. But now I don't think
>> I don't think you right about them for
my brother. No, she don't like dudes
like him. She like some wimpy now. She
done had her feelings hurt by a goon
that was built like Reacher and she just
wants her a soft Teddy Rutsman now. So
no, I think she was really I think she
was really mad because he didn't tell
her the truth about that smashing. He
didn't come clean that you slept with
[laughter] the enemy and and that enemy
turns around and you know I like
Reacher's line that you know she was a
deadly whatever it was and Reach is like
well she slept with a deadly me too.
>> So I think that was just more of her
just calling him out for hiding
something than it is she want to jump
his panty draws.
>> Panty draws. Hey man, uh we got to give
uh Jacob his props though, man. He be
doing his um his planks and working his
his abs and his core. You see him
hanging up on the side of that bed when
the cops are looking at him. That ain't
easy, Lamont.
>> That ain't easy, man. He He had to hold
that position a good at least three
minutes right there. He was over there.
You know what? Can you do that? I can't
do it. Can you do that?
>> Think of it like this. Can Can you get
up there and hold a pull-up for about
two, three minutes?
>> No. No. Can you do a muscle up?
>> Yeah, I can do a muscle up. Even Even
with me weighing 236 lbs, I can still do
a muscle up.
>> All right, hold on. Can you hear this
right here?
>> Stop the cap.
>> Hold on,
>> bro.
>> No, that's the one. [applause]
All right, enough of the sound effects.
I can't find the one I want. Did you
hear that?
>> Yeah, I heard that.
>> So, we're gonna speak this into
existence. Okay,
before
me and Lamont check out on this earth of
what we call this experience we call
life, me and Lamont are going to make a
workout video together and we're going
to do 10 muscle ups each in the video
together and we going we going we going
to pose [screaming]
all that. We don't got to do all that
extra stuff. But no, for real, man. It
may it's gonna be a while before I get
there because I'm in a deficit right
now. Making progress, you know, but um
sometime next year, man, I I'm I'm we
gonna make a video. We're going to make
a few video. We're going to be making a
lot of videos, but one of them going to
be exercise. We ain't just going to be
doing pull-ups. We going to do uh 10
muscleups.
>> And um that that and I'm just saying
that now, you know, so we can help each
other stay motivated, hold each other
accountable. The people that are seeing
this right now on our channels, they can
hold us accountable as well. Why not be
great? Why not be the best versions of
ourselves? You know, you need something.
You Baby L and Ellis need a strong daddy
to look up to. And they already got one,
but they need a super duper. Anyway,
y'all let us know uh what y'all think
about that muscleups are are going down
um like like Charlie Brown. What did you
think about the action though in this
episode, man, and the fight
choreography? Uh Tamara and Reacher got
whooped. Uh, but what did you think?
>> That opening scene was fantastic. I
mean, man, that was some good TV for me.
Um, the only thing I didn't like,
well, I ain't going to say that, but I I
thought that it was fantastic
choreography. It was really, really
good. I was thoroughly entertained. I
was on the edge of my seat. But the shoe
booty part of it was they kept kicking
that chip. Like a couple times I felt
like you could have picked that chip up
>> or you could have kicked it in a
direction it could have been
>> confiscated, but other than that I
enjoyed it, man. I thought it was some
great action in this episode.
>> What about towards the end of the
episode where they um they went in as
comps and but the dude was like, "Hey,
go get so and so. He's my lawyer." But
he wasn't a lawyer. It was the henchman
and old dude came back with his hand
that was jacked up and he threw it in
the in the grater when he was trying to
destroy the evidence. I I like that too.
Um Reacher had to take some a lot of
electricity to bring him down, man. Um,
I thought he I thought it would have
been kind of badass if he would have
fought all the way through that. But I
kind of like that he lost in a way, you
know, just kind of makes the stakes rise
a little bit, humanizes his character,
you know, because Richard supposed to be
strong and powerful, but I don't want
him to be invincible, you know, cuz that
that that will get boring. Like uh what
are your thoughts? You agree, disagree,
anything?
>> Oh, 100% agree. Um, at first it looked
like he was going to walk through the
getting shocked part and there was a
part of me that wanted him to do it, but
it was also a part of me saying, "We
know this ain't going to do nothing to
him." So to see him fall to his knees, I
was like, "Okay, you got me on that
one."
But I also feel like they should have
known better. They should have known
this wasn't a lawyer that was getting
called. Come on, y'all. You look at
Reacher. You got to You're too smart for
that. you should have never let that
lady leave that room knowing what y'all
was there for. So, I thought that that
part was dumb, but other than that, I
enjoyed the scene. Um, Tamara was a
liability in this scene because as much
as she held it down, they still was able
to overpower her. And, you know, Reacher
kind of trying to look out for her is
what kind of got him in trouble. And,
um, the way it ended,
I'm thinking to myself, who's going to
come and save him? It's got to be
Needley. Somebody's got to come in that
scene and save him.
>> Before we go there though, how do you
feel about the cop that was Tamara's
partner um that was taking uh Jacob away
in the patty wagon because also this
pissing me off when uh they was at the
the diamond field, the baseball field,
and they hemmed him up and they put him
in the back of the car. They was being
all rough with Jacob. Uh uncle was like,
"Wait a minute. I we had a deal. You
said it was going to be nice. I just
wanted him off the street cuz I thought
he was going to crack and I don't want
him to get hurt, yada yada. One of the
cops was like, "Hey." He was like, "Hey,
I'mma take the long way home, you know."
And so I was like, "Oh, they going to
beat his ass." One of the other cops was
like, "Hey, don't leave any marks in the
face. You know, we can't have any
evidence." I was like, "Man, okay. He is
corrupt." But after a while, Jacob was
like, "Bro, we could have been at the
precinct like 30 minutes ago, even if
you are taking a long way. What's going
on? You think he's going to he's having
a change of heart or pulling a fast one
on somebody because you know we it
looked like he was contemplating on what
to do. Do you am I making any sense? How
do you feel about all there? What do you
think about that cop?
>> I feel like the speech Jacob gave about
Tamara respecting the partner,
you just pretty much saw who I think is
going to show up and save Tamara and
Reacher. is going to be those two. I
think that he's going to do the right
thing now. He's going to realize that
Tamara,
even though he's an she stuck
by him regardless. And Jacob wore that
warm down. Like Steve would say, I'm
wearing you down, baby. Wearing you
down. I think that's what's going to
happen. And that's who's going to pop up
and save Reacher and Tamara.
>> Right on. Right on. Right on. Um, and
Lamont, again, we talked about it
briefly. Who is this little black boy
that's coming at the end? is like 6'7
with with the cornrows. Like I don't
When we first saw his passport and image
early on in the season, he looked no
older than 19. Am I tripping?
>> He look young and
>> and short. Like ain't no ain't nobody
know this was going to be Kevin Durant
with with with dreads popping up. We
ain't know that.
And and earlier when Leila and Amisha
were going back and forth having their
conversation, she was like, it's like,
why are you so loyal to me? Why are you
so good to me? Oh, because you know, you
could have sold me into prostitution as
a sex slave and took all my money, but
you was my you had my back and I am to
you what you were to Putra. And then
they meet this black guy and they're
like, we worship you. There's no task
too big. There's no task too small. We
got your back. I'm like, who is this
guy? Like, I I I have to know. Uh, we
we'll find out soon, though. We We'll
find out soon.
>> Bro, she was sounding like she'd be
willing to give up the panty draws, like
she give up in anything.
>> I didn't want to say that because of his
age, but I do agree with you. It it it
did seem that way, you know, and so, uh,
>> yeah,
>> I I'm I'm curious. I'm curious. I want
to hear from the men and the women. The
women and the men on y'all's thoughts on
that whole the whole episode, but that
in particular, I'm very curious. What
are your final thoughts, Lamont, if any
at all?
>> Continue to watch, tell your friends to
watch this show and then tell them to
come watch us.
>> Yes, I agree. But ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls, that is going to wrap it
up for our Reacher season 4, episode 6,
Plum Out of Luck is episode 7 up. Oh,
we'll be here same time, same place for
