Video summary

Ross returns to discuss his highly positive review of the recent Monday Night Raw broadcast from Mexico City, which he considers one of the best episodes of the year due to the incredible energy displayed by the local fans. After a fifteen-year hiatus, the crowd in Mexico City delivered an electrifying atmosphere that was palpable even through television screens, enthusiastically supporting both favorites and heels alike. This passionate response led Ross to strongly advocate for WWE to host a Premium Live Event (PLE) in the region next year, citing the city's ability to generate lively crowds as a major asset for future shows. The night opened with a segment featuring Rey Mysterio and Adam Pierce discussing Triple Mania before transitioning into a heated tag team match between Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio against Stephanie McMahon and her new partner, Gringo Loco. Although the match was interrupted by interference from JD McDonagh, resulting in a disqualification and subsequent beatdown of the babyfaces, the segment successfully showcased the crowd's willingness to give proper heat to the heels, setting a fantastic tone for the rest of the show. The broadcast continued with segments highlighting the evolving dynamics of The Bloodline, notably showing Roman Reigns and his associates receiving significant boos from the Mexican audience, a rare occurrence that signaled a shift in their reception compared to previous tours. Following this, the Intercontinental Championship match between Chad Gable and Dragon Lee took place, delivering what many consider a potential Match of the Night with its fluid exchanges and near-falls, including a dramatic sequence where both competitors nearly secured victories before Gable ultimately won via submission. On the women's side, NXT's Keilani and Lola Vice faced off in a qualifying match for the Money in the Bank ladder contest, where the crowd clearly favored Lola Vice, leading to her victory over Raquel and advancing her to the main event of the upcoming ladder match. The main event featured a highly anticipated World Heavyweight Championship bout between Roman Reigns and Penta El Zero, which lived up to expectations with a masterfully executed storyline that played on Roman's heel persona and Penta's underdog status. The match was filled with detail-oriented storytelling, such as Roman feigning injury from his own attacks and a thrilling near-fall where Penta connected with two consecutive Penta Destroyers before Roman retained the title with a Superman Punch followed by a Spear. Despite Roman winning cleanly without interference, the crowd remained visibly disappointed that Penta did not capture the championship, highlighting the deep emotional investment of the Mexican fans who had hoped for a historic upset. Overall, Ross praised the production quality and the utilization of talent from AEW like Penta, concluding that despite the controversial ending, it was a fantastic show that deserves a high rating and sets the stage for future events in Mexico.

What's good y'all? It's your boy Ross back at again with another video. Man oh man, this Monday Night Raw was fire. They were live from Mexico City tonight. And the people of Mexico City, y'all showed out. Y'all brought the energy from the beginning of the show all the way to the end of the show. You guys was bringing that energy. It [music] was definitely felt through the TV screen and it was fantastic, bro. We had some of the best wrestling that WWE has produced on the main roster all year long. This was some good stuff, man. And I really enjoyed this Monday Night Raw. Honestly, if I had to like think about it, this may be one of the top Monday Night Raws of the year. And we've had some pretty good ones. This one may be one of the top ones. And I will say this, and I'm sure maybe other people will share the same sentiments. I think Mexico City needs a PLE. Seriously, I think this is the first time, well, it's not the first time they've had a Monday Night Raw in Mexico City, but it's been over 15 years. They need a PL. Hopefully, they can set something up where they can get them a PL next year. Maybe a a backlash in Mexico or a clash in Mexico, whatever. give them a PLLE next year because these these people down there, they they know how to be lively in the crowd and you can tell they were excited to be there. So, shout out to the fans in Mexico City. Y'all turned up and I hope y'all get a PO soon. Seriously. But nevertheless, we're going to talk about some of the great stuff that happened on this show. First things first, um they started off the show with Rey Mysterio and Adam Pierce in the ring. And Ry uh was talking about some of the things that happened at uh Triple Mania over the uh the weekend. Heard some great things about that show as well. Um and then that's when he brought out Stephanie. He talked about Stephanie's win over Liv Morgan. She got a great ovation from the crowd. crowd was loving them some Stephanie and then Liv and Dominic come out there and they had nuclear heat. This is what I mean by this crowd was so good. They were giving the heels the proper heat they deserve. It's been a minute since we've heard Dominic and Liv get some nuclear heat. This was some good stuff. Great energy from everybody. And then uh Dominic, you know, talking his trash. Liv talking her trash as well. and Dominic proposes that they have a match, a tag team match, him and Liv versus Ray and Stephanie. But obviously Ray is selling the injuries and the attack from over the weekend. So he got Grande Americano to come out there. Huge pop. Grande Americano don't have to come back to the main roster ever again because in Mexico he is their Roman Reigns. He is the top guy. He doesn't have to come back to the main roster. But the fact that Grunt seeing Grande Americano on Monday Night Raw getting that reaction, it was fantastic. Loved every bit of that. So Grande comes out there to be Stephanie's tag partner. And throughout the match, great atmosphere, great showing from the crowd, you know, nice back and forth from from all four of these individuals. But ultimately JD Mcdana comes out there and uh ends up causing the uh the interference and the ref throws out the match. And then from there the baby faces get beat up in Stephanie and Stephanie and Grande Americano. Even Ray uh started getting beat up by his son Dominic. And the heels stand tall as the judgment day numbers kind of um aided them in this attack. got nuclear heat though. They got nuclear heat. But overall, the opening to the show, fantastic. That's how I knew, okay, we were in for some good stuff. So, next, I want to talk about the dynamic of the bloodline. At the beginning of the show, they showed Penta. Uh, no, they showed Roman getting out of like a plane or I forgot what he was getting out of. You know, Roman, he only comes in style. He was getting out of something. and they were showing him walking up and a lot of booze. You normally don't hear Romy get booed like that. He was getting booed tonight. And then there was a segment with Jimmy and Jay and Jacob. They were getting booze. And basically the segment was talking about how, you know, they need to make sure that uh Royce Keys and his and his crew don't get involved in tonight's match with Roman. So, they were kind of teasing it as if that was going to be something that happens, but it never really fell through. But, I can say it's been a while since I've seen the Bloodline, everybody in the Bloodline get booze, like legit booze. So, I thought that was actually pretty interesting. You don't really see that too often, and it was a nice change of pace that they were actually getting booed by the fans. Next, I want to talk about a match that could have been match of the night if it wasn't for the main event, but for some people it may still be match of the night because they really did cook. And that is Chad Gable versus uh Dragon Lee for the Intercontinental Championship. This match, go watch it. Go watch this match. It is a PL worthy match. Once again, Chad Gable has been putting on some banger matches for the IC title, and this was so good. Once again, crowd was really into it. They were cheering on Chad. They were definitely cheering on Dragon Lee. This was some good stuff. At one point, there was a sequence where Chad had Dragon Lee in the ankle lock. No, Chad. No, Chad was almost put into the Styles clash. Then he got out of it, then put Dragon Lee into the ankle lock, and then he got out of that again, and then they he uh Dragon Lee was able to finally put him into the Styles Clash for a close two count, bro. So, I like that exchange, him going for the ankle lock, then Dragon Lee trying to counter into a Styles clash. It was so fluid. It looked smooth as hell for a very close two count. Um, this was so good. Like 2.99. Such a good kick out. Such a great moment. Ultimately, Chad was able to get him in the ankle lock. He once he laid down into the ankle lock. Um, my boy um, Dragon Lee had to tap on the Desjouro. But nevertheless, this was so damn good. Chad Gable was doing some great things with the Intercontinental Championship just like Penta was before and he's keeping it going. I can truly appreciate that. This was so good. Go watch this match. I can't even do it justice. Go watch this match if you have a chance to um if you didn't see it live. You will definitely enjoy it. They put on the crowd appreciated it. This was fantastic. If the main event didn't happen, this possibly definitely would have been match of the night without a question. definitely would have been match of the night, but obviously the main event, man, it that was so good, too. And we're going to talk about that. Um, they had one of the qualifying matches with Javon, Big Cass, and Austin Theory. And overall, this was a pretty solid match as well. I was enjoying uh what everybody was doing in the ring for the most part. But the right person, in my opinion, won. Javon got the win. And not only did he get the win, he got the pin on Big Cass getting his wins back. So, he pinned Big Cass and he advances into the Money in the Bank ladder match, which I know he's going to have a great showing uh in the Money in the Bank match. And then on the women's side of things, you had Raquel, uh you had Keelani from NXT, and then you had Lola Vice. Uh Lola made her in ring debut on Monday Night Raw. Crowd was behind Lola. You could tell who they wanted her, who they wanted to win, and ultimately Lola got the win. She pinned uh Raquel to get the win and she advances into the Money in the Bank ladder match herself. So, I thought that was pretty cool, man. And last but not least, definitely definitely definitely got to talk about the main event. Like I said, throughout the night, Roman Bloodline, anything related, was getting booed before the match started up. The group goes by 946. I just had to make sure. I know it's a it's a an area code. I believe the area code I I think that's uh somewhere on the West Coast. Oakland. Yeah. 946. That's the group, right? So, they were doing a little backstage video and I like how they do they do like handheld like phone videos type stuff and I don't know where they were but basically they said that they weren't in Mexico and you know they want to wish Roman good luck. So that's basically what they said. they weren't in Mexico wishing Roman good luck so that you know the Usos and Jacob don't have to worry about them for now which I thought was a lie cuz you know you know how hills are oh we're not there and then they pull up but that wasn't the case they actually did not pull up but I'm okay with that because the match we got between Pinta and Roman fantastic first and foremost Penta coming out there he he had his culture his heritage on him nice drip it was dope. It you know it you can tell it this had a big fight field. He didn't come out here in his normal gear. Had gave him all the pyro that he could ever ask for. Crowd was going crazy for Penta. He was oral far farming looking cool as hell. It felt like maybe just maybe WWE will pull the trigger here. And then Roman comes out there. Even though people acknowledging him, people giving him the middle finger. People are booing him. is the most booze I've heard Roman get in a very long time. So obviously he was gonna operate more as a heel and he he played that up tonight for sure. So getting to the match, you know, Roman is slow and methodical. He takes his time. He's, you know, he's brooding. He he plays he plays more, especially in this situation where we know he's the heel in comparison to Penta. It works more for him to be slow and methodical and take his time with his opponent. He even started talking trash like he normally does, but now it has a little bit more meaning because the crowd's not cheering him. Every time he's doing something, they're booing him and he doesn't care. You know, at one point in the match, he asked for the microphone and he's basically telling the crowd to acknowledge him. This is OG tribal chief days where he would do that to his opponent sometime midmatch. acknowledge me and the crowd wasn't trying to do it. Ultimately, this was a nice back and forth. Pinta sometimes getting the upper hand uh especially with the uh the Penta destroyer. I do enjoy the fact that when Penta has them pinned to the ground and it looks like he's about to basically break their arm, how you know that changes kind of the course of the match. And that's exactly what happened there because Roman's selling it. So, when he's trying to go for the uh the Superman punch and he, you know, he slams his hand on the mat, like his arm on the mat or his hand on the mat or his fist technically, it hurt him. So, a lot of the stuff that he's doing is hurting him. So, I like that uh attention to detail that they had within the match. Um there was a great like 2.99 nearfall. Roman is charging up for the spear, I believe, about to run the ropes. Penta scouts. It ends up hitting him with like a super kick and then he ends up hitting because at this point he hit one penta destroyer. He ends up springboarding off the rope hitting another penta destroyer for the one two. I mean it's it's the closest you could possibly get to a threeount. Like so damn close to the point me and the homie Dub and a lot of people that was watching in the chat we thought the match was over. That's how close that nearfall was. I thought the match was done, but it wasn't. And this such a good such a good match. Crowd was so into this, but ultimately Roman uh ended up hitting him with another Superman punch. Even off the first spear that Roman hit on him was a nice nearfall, but Roman hit the Superman punch uh pentis days. And then Roman hit the second spear for the one, two, three, and Roman retained the World Heavyweight Championship. And the crowd was hurt. The crowd was hurt. You see so many shots of people with the hands in their face. They're sad because they wanted Penta to win the night. Hell, I wanted Penta to possibly win tonight. It would have been such a crazy moment, but ultimately that's not what happened. And honestly, Roman is keeping his streak going of winning matches with no interference by himself clean. He won that match clean. This was a great match. Fantastic. They knocked it out the park. Penta definitely um since he's gotten to WWE, he's been a highlight on Monday Night Raw and they have actually utilized him very well. I It's not too often somebody comes over from AEW and they utilize him, utilize that person that well. He came from AEW and they have been knocking it out the park with him with his Intercontinental Championship run and now his little bit of time at the top of the card in the main event scene with Roman Reigns and gave us a great match. It's not much you can ask for, man. Overall, once again, this was a great Monday Night Raw. Mexico City. Y'all did y'all thing, man. Comment down below. Let me know uh what you guys rate this episode of Monday Night Raw. I gave it like a solid nine and a half. This was a fun show. Definitely enjoyed it. Go back and watch some of those matches, especially that Intercontinental Championship match. I think you guys would definitely enjoy that if you missed it. But nevertheless, let me know how y'all feeling about tonight's show. Appreciate all love, support, road to 20 tok. Appreciate ying me. See you next one. Peace.
