RAVENS JUST GOT ONE WEAPON BACK…BUT ANOTHER ONE IS OUT FOR WEEK 1!

So, we are literally one day away from the Ravens first game against the Colts. Put in the comments section how you are feeling about it. Now, we got some news ahead of the game because the Baltimore Ravens both gained one and they lost a weapon ahead of this matchup. So, TZ Walker, he had missed practice last week, but he returned this week and officially heading into this game, he is questionable. So, that's looking good for the most part. We have to wait, of course, until the game officially to see whether he plays or not, but he's more on the side of a go than a no-go. Now, somebody on the flip side who is officially been ruled out, not one, but two people who have been working their way back from injury, and those are both Teddy Buchanan and Namdi Matabke. Uh, both of those guys have been officially ruled out of this game against the Indianapolis Colts. So, they will not play at all, but they are getting much closer to returning. And I'm not mad that they're not playing. A little disappointed, but not mad at it at all because this shows that the Baltimore Ravens are continuing to not rush guys back and they're continuing to ease guys back into the lineup and make sure they're all the way ready before they just put them out there on the field because the Ravens have certainly learned the hard way. multiple times with multiple players that you just cannot rush them and you got to let them take their time. So, while we would have loved to see Teddy Buchanan and Ni Madabik out there flying around in week one sacking Daniel Jones intercepting Daniel Jones just laying out a bunch of Colts players. So that that's that's when it hits different because it first hits when you when she takes that pregnancy test and she shows you and it's like whoa. Oh, we got somebody else coming to the family. But then when Yeah. But when you see that 3D image of the baby, it's like, "Oh, wow." Like, like that's that's them for real. And it just it makes things just that much more real. So, we excited for you, man. That that's fun times. He said, "Now, let's talk uh y'all." So, I was watching a random shorts videos on Facebook and I came across a recap of the Ravens versus the Giants Super Bowl game and I was just noticing some things. Hear me out. So I noticed that our quarterback Trend Delpha wore number eight and that year was his greatest year that season to now Lamar. Also Dwayne Starks intercepted the ball from Carrie Collins and now Malachi Starks and they are no Ray Lewis but we have Rocoan Smith and Nambdi Madab. Uh they led the game to a 347 win. The Giants won't be Super Bowl contenders this time but the Ravens have a sign of a chance though. Oh yeah. I mean, you ain't even got to even without that game in uh the 2000 season, Ravens got a shot. They they they they got a shot and it's just up to them to put all the pieces together and make it happen. Next question came from another team keep it clean patron my guy Derek. He said, "Hey, what's up my guy? I have a question for you too actually. What are your concerns about this team?" Um right now my biggest concerns would be the kicking game. Um, and really just everything being new for the coaching staff, even though right now I'm really not concerned about the coaching staff at all. But yeah, it will be the kicking game for me. Um, and oh, you know what, the kicking game and maybe the return game too. So, special teams. Uh, he said me personally is offensive line specifically at center. We went from losing our three-time Pro Bowl center to someone who I thought was going to give us some stability is gone to now losing Danny Pinter and we now have Javon Gwyn. Okay, cool. But do you think he has had enough time to mesh with the other guys at all? Yeah, I I think he has. And it it'll be a work in progress, too, because now he'll certainly have a lot of time cuz he's a starter now. So now he's going to be running with the ones in practice, running with the ones when they getting ready for all the upcoming games and whatnot. So, he'll get even more acclimated to them as the season goes on. He said, "Communication with the guys up front and most importantly his QB, Mr. Lamar, aka the Michael Jackson of the NFL, Lamar Jackson." He said, "Lol, any concerns there right now?" No, not for me. No. Um, let's see them in action tomorrow. Oh, that's crazy. Tomorrow, we going to be watching all Ravens play tomorrow. Uh, anyway, he said and and kicker. Oh, well, yep. So, well, yeah, I I ain't I agree with you on that one. He said, "Let's be real and grave. Do you think Luke will make it past October if he has five to six misses from 40 and out?" No, he wouldn't, but let's hope that he doesn't have four to five or six misses from 40 yards or more out. Hopefully, he's he's just drilling all his kicks. Like, we don't want Loop to have a bad season. We don't want him to have a bad year. We don't want Loop to be cut because if Loop isn't cut, we want that to mean that, oh, oh, he's killing it. Oh, he's doing his thing. Oh, he's clutch. Oh, we got one with this one. That's what we want. Anyway, he said, uh, and you know what concerns me? What if he's put in a position like he was last year at Pittsburgh and it cost us a big uh a big ugly hardfought game? Steelers, Bills, Texans. Can you even imagine if he missed uh kicks uh or if his missed kicks cost us one of three of those games, if not all? It puts more pressure on the offense to stay on the field. It does. It It does. Um but it's three phases of the game, man. So, we would hope and we do hope that our other phases of the game are so strong to where when it comes to Tyler Loop and his field goals, like I don't want to say that they're an afterthought, but it's like I I hope that we can get to the point where if he makes it great, amazing, awesome. He added to how many points we already done got. But if he misses it, then it's like, "Oh, okay. Well, our offense and defense are so strong that Tyler Loop making a little mistake, it ain't no big deal." He said, "This is killing Loop's confidence in the long run because keeping the offense on the field uh is you saying, "Yeah, we don't trust you from this far out or even this close in. What are your thoughts?" Because this is concerning. Oh, it is for sure. Uh it certainly is. But now we just got to wait it out. We just got to wait it out and see exactly how Tyler Loop does and hope that he just goes out there and and does an amazing job as Ravens kicker in the 2026 season. Next question came from my guy Aquavon. He said, "What's up team? Keep it clean. Appreciate appreciate you and the content you bring to the channel. Much love all the way from South Carolina." Hey, appreciate that, my friend. He said, "I don't have a question, but I do have a challenge for you." Oh, a challenge. He throwing a red flag. He said, "I challenge you to give me your prediction on who you think will receive the first pass and touchdown from Lamar Jackson week one." H first passing touchdown from Lamar Jackson in week one. Uh Rashad Baitman, give me bait. Give me number seven. So yeah, let's get it, man. Anyway, [snorts] he said, uh, number one, if I'm right, you should wear a costume. Baltimore Ravens fan like on a live stream when the Ravens play. But if you're correct, then you can let me know whatever my punishment is. It's up to you, though. You don't have to accept the challenge. I just wanted to bring some fun to your channel while enjoying some good Baltimore Ravens football. I'm just glad football is officially back and this will be the year we finally see Lamar hold up that Lombardi trophy. Let me know how you feeling about that challenge. Take care. Oh, and he said his prediction is rookie tight end Josh Quavers. Oh, so you ain't even go with like an obvious like you could have went with Mark Andrews. You could have went with Z Flowers. You could even went with Derrick Henry or Justice, but you went with the rookie tight end Josh Qu. Okay, I like that. Now, um I wear Ravens costumes every single week. So that that ain't really no thing, man. Cuz I I'm dressed up as a Ravens fan every single week. But in fact, it it's really not dressing up because we ain't new to this. we true to this like Ravens, you know, that's our guys, man. We we rocking with them. Um, [snorts] so yeah, I I mean the the the challenge has been officially accepted and and I mean, hey, whoever loses, it's really a win-win for either of us because Lamar Jackson is throwing a touchdown pass. Accountability. Next question came from my guy Kendrick. He said, "Well, Raven, I just want to talk about the main problem I hear in this video from Emanuel Ao Shady McCoy." Uh, he said, "Uh, and that's the lack of responsibility or blame that they give to Monkin, Harbaugh, and Zack Ore." Not once in this video do they say along with the player messups, they had al they had uh they also had some bad play callers and coaches that didn't take accountability when they messed up. You can have a million great Hall of Famers and the wrong coach can throw all of that away. They named players that won in Mahomes. Well, guess what? Matt had McVey. Mahomes had Reed and Jaylen had Sirani. I'm pretty sure if Lamar had the stability or level of coaching that they had, he would have been had the chip and we wouldn't be having these conversations. Um, and with that, coaching matters, but also your general manager matters as well. Your front office matters big time, too. Now, a lot obviously falls on the players cuz they got to do their thing on the field. Um, but before anything even steps on the field, it has to be organized. It has to be assembled and it has to be put together. And that's the general manager's job. So, Eric Dcasta, it's a lot of eyes on you. And hey, Steve said it, not me. So, you got to talk to the owner, big dog. I'm happy for Beaks. Next question came from my guy Trey Five. He said, "What's up, Graven? Hope you and your family and all the team are doing well." This is actually not a question, but a comment. He said, "I just finished watching Mad Be Gay speak for the first time in a while, and I honestly could not stop smiling while listening. Seeing him smile and talk to the media was cool to see." Yeah, he had his first press conference on f his first press conference in who knows how long. It's been like literally forever. Forever. Um, so shout out to him. uh who he's like not officially back yet cuz he's out this week, but he is so close to getting there. Uh so shout out to Nandi Mavik. He said, "In the midst of watching football games, it is always a good reminder to see that these players are human and not just players to perform for our entertainment. It is good to see the excitement in Beak's face as he gets closer to suiting up to play football again." And that's it. I like that. I like that. So, no comment, no question, just happiness for number 92. So, I I can appreciate that a lot. Coaching matters. Next question came from my guy Bobby. He said, "As Ravens fans, we really need to pay attention to the San Francisco 49ers. It is no secret that they struggle to stay healthy. It's like they lose a player to injury almost every week. Yet, somehow they continue to compete with the top teams in the league. Even during that game against the Rams when they lost two more players, they were seemingly unaffected. This goes to show that strong coaching and consistent play calling are what we have been missing for years. Bingo. Bingo. That's why I honestly, and I know some people may be like, "Yuck." But I would not have been mad if they would have hired Robert Salah. I wouldn't I know he had his stint previously with I think it was the Jets, I believe, but I wouldn't have been mad if they would have hired him. Reason being because he comes from the San Francisco 49ers coaching tree and they know how to deal with injury like you said Bobby. Like they have been down and out. This player, that player, that player, this player, so many guys, but they still not only fight, but they do a lot of winning in spite of injury, despite missing this player, that player. So they like they just straight up say, "Hey, no excuses. we still got a game to play and we got a game to win. Um, so shout out to them and like you mentioned like against the the Rams the other night like I I remember when I first turned the game on on Netflix before it started they were like, "Oh yeah, vote for which team you think is going to win." And I certainly uh put my vote to the right cuz that was the Rams. I thought the Rams were going to win. But the 49ers not only won but they won decisively and they look really really good, man. Kyle Shanahan, he continues to show how to put his players in position to have success, how to maximize his players talents, how to turn so many different guys into weapons. Like you could think, all right, 49ers, who's their main guys? Well, run CMC, Christian McCaffrey. Okay. Uh George K. Okay, we get it. It's those guys. But those guys, they ain't really go crazy on Thursday night. They wasn't really doing too much of anything. Not that they didn't do anything, but they like far as Christian McCaffrey on the ground. No, even Christian McCaffy McKaffrey through the air, he wasn't even doing anything crazy. George KD too, but so many other guys, they stepped up and they showed out. So 49ers, they they have some excellent coaching. They just obviously haven't been able to get it done when it matters the most. But um throughout the regular season, uh even in the playoffs, too, cuz they've been to plenty of Super Bowls, more than us recently. Uh but they shown that they can get it done despite a lot of guys that have been missing. So like you said, coaching matters big time. Next question came from my guy Eman. He said, "I hope you and your family are doing well. I got three questions for Number one, I think if the Ravens offense can do a 13 personnel more often, I think they'll be better because you have three tight ends out there instead of one and one wide receiver that's going to be great for play action, open up more running lanes for Derrick Henry and work in the middle and having explosive plays down the field when you need it. Yeah. Um, it all just depends on the flow of the game. Um because if it's only one wide receiver out there, I feel like the defense, they will be playing up a lot more. They will be a lot around the line of scrimmage a lot more. They'll be having a lot more guys in the box watching for the run a whole lot more. So, it all depends on how the game is going. He also said number two, do you think this defense will perform better with two high safeties and only sending four? With the two high safeties, you are going to limit the big plays down the field and by sending only four, you limit any chunk plays over the middle. Um, I think Jesse Mint is going to mix it up. It ain't going to be two high safeties every single play. He going to mix it up for sure. It ain't just going to be Malachi Starks and um and Jaylen Hawkins just roaming back there. They definitely going to have the opportunities, but he's going to mix it up. He's going to have guys. He's going to sometimes probably make it look like it's two high safeties, but it could only be one or sometimes it may be none. He may be blissing all of them. It could be cover zero. It could be anything. Like Jesse Mentor is known for showing one thing but doing the complete opposite. So I I think he'll definitely keep mixing it up. He said number three. Uh and one of my biggest concerns is they got to do better in the red zone because there were a few times last year we should have easily punched those in for touchdowns and we didn't do it. Uh also I kind of want Lamar Jackson to play in some of the fourth quarter knowing that we are blowing teams out. Hey. Yeah. I mean it yeah it all it all depends. Everything all depends. Like we would love for Lamar Jackson to even have that option. Lamar, you want to keep playing or you want to just chill for the rest of the game cuz that will really mean that we blowing some teams out. So hopefully that can continue. Next question came from my guy Elijah. He said, "Hey brother, how you doing? Hope all is well and the family is doing amazing and team keeping clean family doing well." Hey, appreciate that Elijah. Uh, he said, "The question I have for you, how many sacks do you think our defense has altogether? And who do you think will lead the charge personally? I think Trey Hendrickson will lead the charge with 14 or 15 sacks. I also think outside of Miles Garrett and those boys in Texas, he'll be number four." How many sacks do you think our boy will have? And where do you think this defense is going to rank this year? As far as total sacks, I don't know. I don't know. That's a great question. But as far as Trey Hendrickson individually, 14 is a good number. 14 is a really really good number. Um, you know what? I'm going even raise that. I'm I'm going to go 16. I'm going to go I'm going to go 16 simply because Trey Hendrickson is an excellent pass rusher. And then on top of that, he'll be in Mike. My goodness, I'm tripping. I was about to say Mike McDonald. He'll be in Jesse Mentor's sister. Oh my, I can't believe I was getting ready to say that. He'll be in Jesse Mentor system. Well, you know what? Give me a pass cuz it is 12:26 a.m. So, my mind is not working all the way right now, but he'll be in Jesse Mentor's system. So, the system combined with him already being an excellent pass rusher, I think that'll lead to 16 sacks uh for for good old Trey Hendrickson. As far as the defensive ranking this year, um I'm going to say top six. Next question came from my guy Javo. He said, "Actions speak more than words." And hearing Henry say, "It's time to win the Super Bowl." And Lamar saying, "This offense will have our opponents on their toes gives me high expectations for this new offense." We got Mentor Lamar saying he is 100% healthy. It starts Sunday at 1 to show that we're ready to take that next step. Who steps up if Bait misses games? If the league decides to suspend him? Well, really by committee because yeah, Zay Flowers will continue to step up. Uh Jacobe Lane, TZ Walker. Yeah, a little bit of everybody. He said, "Do you think Gwyn starts all 18 games or they rotate centers to find the best fit?" That's such a great question, especially because Jesse Mentor did not commit to Javon Gwyn long term. So, based on what Jesse Mentor said, I would say no. But based on my hope, and that's that the offensive line looks good, I want to say yes. Because if he's starting all 17 games, then that means that they're jelling. that means that he's looking like the best option. That means that he held off Ethan Pik. So hopefully that ends up being the case. He said, "Do you think Hypn will have a better season than Mark Andrews?" No, I I I don't. He said, "What are some key points for us to get a win on Sunday? Score more points than the Colts?" But no, um, hold Jonathan Taylor down because Jonathan Taylor, we know that that man is one of the best running backs in the league. That man is explosive. He is strong. He is fast. um he can do it all. So, they need to hold him down uh and make Daniel Jones feel the pressure. Make the Colts offense on one-dimensional. Don't let them be explosive. Don't let Jonathan Taylor go off. Don't uh continuing. He said, "What's the standard for this season?" Um just excellence. I think excellence and no excuses. Don't matter if we got a new coach. Don't matter if we got a new offense, defense, new system. No excuses. I said, uh, I know I asked you who you got us beating in the Super Bowl, but who you got us beating in AFC Championship to get there? It would be so rewarding. Um, if the Ravens play the Chiefs and beat the Chiefs in AFC Championship or the Bills, too. That would be another one. Really, whoever, honestly. But those two, especially the Chiefs, because the Chiefs have had our number for years, they have really, like Lamar said before, they have been our kryptonite. They really have been. So to get over that hump that is Kansas City, that would that would be the one. He said, "Do you think uh we see Big Sunday and Mentors keeping a secret?" Well, he obviously sent this before the official announcement came out. Um, he said, "Do you think Hawkins is a sleeper signing because nobody is talking about him?" Yes. And we've said it before early this offseason that Hawkins, Jaylen Hawkins is the most underrated signing for the Baltimore Ravens this off seasonason. He said, "How much is having Mentor calling defensive plays helping Doyle on the offensive end uh because mentor can help challenge Doyle in practice and just help him get even sharper, even better. He can help him recognize stuff that defenses might be throwing at him. So yeah, it just it goes hand in hand. He say last question before Sunday is how much pressure is on Mentor. Oh, there's plenty of pressure on Jesse Mentor, but I love the fact that he is embracing it and not running away from it. Next question came from King Jamie. Anyway, what's going on, my guy? I just have a few things I wanted to address. I'm not going to lie, I still feel some kind of way about the Crosby situation. Although Trey Hendrickson is slowly growing on me. Hey, you better speed it up, my friend. Like, the season is is here now. So yeah, that love better grow ASAP. He said, "But man, I felt like he was made for the flock, but I understand it's a business." Oh yeah, Max Coffee would have been nice. He would have been Oh, he would have been a perfect fit here, too. He was He was ready. Like especially when that man was posting stories of him playing Kodak Black and whatnot and posting picture MT Bank State. Oh, I said, "Oh yeah, I said we got one." But obviously, you know how things went. He said lastly, I want to ask, who is your favorite underdog as a Raven? I have two right now. I like Keon Martin and our rookie DB Chandler Rivers. My favorite underdog as a Raven. That's a question right there. Underdog. Underdog. Um, can I say can I say TZ Walker? I feel like he is an underdog for sure. Uh, wow. Feel like not many other underdogs. Like I want to say Trent Simpson, but I feel like he's not really underdog. I feel like an underdog is somebody who everybody's kind of counting out. Nobody's really checking for like that, but everybody's like overlooking him. Um, Tyler Loop. That could be a good one right there. Uh, and he said, "Shout out to the whole team keep it clean family. Much love, my brother." Hey, King Jamie. Appreciate you. And the last question before our week one matchup against the Colts came from my guy Mike. He said, "Ain't Mike heard again. I like that towel. I need one of them. Please, if you can get me one, I definitely need one. I I don't know where to get it from. Somebody gave it to me. I don't know where they got it from. It was just a gift. So, I have no clue on where to get it from. My apologies." Hey, he said, "Uh, I love the chain I I got, but definitely need that towel." You funny. I'm like, man, I wish the channel would be growing more. I wish it would be popping off more. I wish the videos would be getting a whole lot more views. I wish we would have way more subscribers and whatnot, but then I got to think like, hold up. Like, I do still want all those things, but at the same time, it's like, wait, this is this is such a it's such a blessing, man. It's such an opportunity to be able to do this. And the opportunity, it only comes from y'all, from people who are supporting. Like, so I I appreciate y'all. I really do.
