RAVENS GOT THE INJURY NEWS WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR…BUT THERE’S A HUGE CATCH!

When Ravens started practice yesterday, we was hyped because not only were guys returning who had missed time this week due to injury, but it was key guys, significant guys, people that are starters on this football team. It started up front with the offensive line. John Simpson, he had missed a couple of days of practice with a groin injury. He was back. But then it continued with Ronnie Stanley, our starting left tackle. He had missed some time with a toe injury. He was back as well. Then flipping it to the defensive side of the ball, our big free agent acquisition at pass rusher, Trey Hendrickson. He had missed some time this week with a finger injury. He returned, but the biggest one of the day, it came from somebody who we've all been waiting on. What's the status with him? What's going on? Because we have not seen him since the second quarter of the Colts game, and that was wide receiver Zay Flowers. He was back at practice as well. So, I'm sitting here thinking like, okay, we got our guy Zay back. Oh, we about to go crazy on them Saints for real. But then we end up getting humbled because that injury report came out and Ronnie Stanley, he was questionable. Trey Henderson, he was questionable. Uh John Simpson, he was questionable. So, we all expect them to play. But with Zay Flowers, he ended up being doubtful. So, it's not looking like he's going to be suiting up against New Orleans this weekend. And I have heard people say, "Oh, you should rest them against New Orleans. Oh, it's just the Saints." I can't sleep on no Saints, man. I I ain't sleeping on no team in the league. I don't care how good or how bad they look. It's any given Sunday, man. So, I wanted the Ravens to be full goal or as full goal as they could possibly be. We know Jacobe Lane, he's going to be out for a little while. TJ Tampa, he's going to be out this game. And Nambdi Ma BK, he's officially been ruled out this game as well. But I was hoping that Zay Flowers was going to be able to suit up. Uh but we'll see. It's still a chance because doubtful doesn't mean out, but doubtful means the possibility of his playing is very, very low. So, we'll see. But we are glad that Zay Flowers is at least back practicing again. So, that will be a good sign for when we play the Cowboys in Brazil in week three. So, hopefully they can return by then. Do you realize just how much of a killer instinct Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle has? Listen to him explain why he was not celebrating, why he didn't get hype, why he wasn't even smiling when Zay Flowers got that huge touchdown pass last week against the Colts. The mindset of like when you're calling the game or you are involved is you're trying to eliminate any emotion. You're trying to eliminate anything that would cloud your judgment or what's going to happen next. I'm watching it and I'm basically thinking like, okay, he like I'm watching it and waiting. If he gets tackled and we're at the eight yard line, I have to have a play as fast as I possibly can to get into L. And so, um, that's kind of the mindset. And then as soon as he scores, you're you immediately flip to like foot on the gas, like, hey, everybody on the staff, like we got to get our guys back right now. Don't stop. Like, we got to keep going. Um, and you don't smile until it hits zeros and and then celebrate it real quick and then you got to get on to the next team fast. Um, but that's kind of like that's the way I think that you have to be. You're never trying to fight like a two-front war. Um, like we're fighting an opponent on the field. the the more emotional I get, the more people have to deal with me and and all of our energy should be towards fighting the opponent. >> Man, Declan Doyle, he ain't going to be an offensive coordinator for too much longer. His mindset just always thinking 10 steps ahead. He talked about how if Zay Flower scored, then he's thinking about how to run up the score even more. He said if Zay Flowers didn't score, then he's already thinking about all right, what's the play that I got to get into Lamar so we can go out there and execute? And we love that. It makes such a big difference in a positive way for this Ravens offense because it just shows extreme preparation on a whole another level. And then on top of that, uh, for example, you saw the fourth down play where we looked over at Jesse Mentor. The camera showed him before the Ravens even went for it on fourth down. He was just sitting there, wasn't even moving because the decision had already been made. And the way that Dean Doyle explained everything, you could see that that's exactly what happened in that sequence. Jacobe Lane touchdown got called back. Ravens ran a couple more plays. They ran it on third down, didn't get it, and right away they were already lined up getting ready to go for it on fourth down. So everything that Declan Doyle talked about, it literally happened in that game. Ravens got to maximize this opportunity, man. They they really really do. And we done said that before in previous years, but this is another year where Ravens, they got to make the most of this because this coaching staff that we have, this all-star coaching staff that we got right now, they ain't going to be together too much longer. Now we at my favorite part of the videos where we get to hear from you. Make sure you subscribe to the channel and leave a like on the video. Let's get straight to it. First question came from my guy Bobby. He said, "Rest Z." He said, "I might be in the minority, but if I were the coach, I would rest Zay until week five." Well, week five. That man said he's making sure that hamstring is not just 12 120 150% all the way. He said, "I know they said it's not serious, but I don't believe there is any such thing as a minor hamstring injury. All hamstring injuries are serious and should be treated the same whether they are a grade one or grade three." Now, it is a chance for all of our wide receivers, especially Rashad Baitman, to show out. If we can't beat the Saints without Zay Flowers, then we have a much greater problem. I see what he's saying, but again, I just I feel like so many people are taking the Saints lightly. I I I just can't, man. I can't. Maybe it's because I'm scarred from being a Ravens fan and and seeing stuff like this happen before. But I I just don't want the Ravens to sleep on New and I'm sure they won't, especially with Jesse Mentor and everything that he's been showing us, the type of coach that he is, but I just don't want them to sleep on New Orleans like at all. As far as you wanting Zay Flowers to be like all the way ready, I I get that completely. Week five. Woo. Not even Brazil. And not even week four. He said week five. Woo. Man, that that would be something. But I I don't think it'll be that long. But I I do appreciate you wanting him to be not just healed. Oh, okay. Z straighten out. No, you want him to be feeling great. Next question came from my guy Malik. He said, "Hey, I hope you and your family and all the Ravens flock are doing well. I've been watching since 2024, and this is my first time asking a question." Oh, so you've been watching since Lamar Jackson what was supposed to be his third MVP year, but you know how that that went. Oh boy. Anyway, but I I appreciate you though, man. Thank you, Malik. He said, "What do you think the defense will do after watching that week one game? I feel like we didn't see enough of our safeties." Now, I know Nate and Marlin had two really good stops on third down, but I'm still a little worried because Nate and Marlin gave up the most yards last season. Every time a team throws a deep ball on them, I get worried. What do you think? We we in a new regime now. We in a new era. This a brand new defense. So, I understand your concern. I get it. Cuz last the past couple of years, they done scarred you bad. They scarred all of us cuz that defense was yikes. But right now, I would say look forward. Try not to look back cuz again, I know it could be tough cuz I'm guilty of it a lot just thinking about things that have happened in recent history and recent years with this Ravens team. But know that this is a brand new football team. specifically with the defense, specifically with the secondary. Things are so much different now. And you saw that in the first game, and I expect us to see it even more moving forward. Next question came from my guy Benjamin. He said, "The fate of Baitman." Now, before we get into it, Benjamin, I appreciate. He put together a little video uh for us. Um and I I I really do appreciate it. I did see it. Much love to you, Benjamin. I thank you for real. Uh he said, "I've always been pulling for bait, and I love when he's healthy and doing his thing like two years ago." Oh, see that's tough, man. I I hate that. That's the conversation that we got to have with Rashad Baitman. We got to go back to 2024 every time. We can't go back to last year. We can't go back to last week. We got to go to 2024 every time because that one's the last time that he was really going off. But that's the last time he really got significant targets, too. So, man, we I hope this this New Orleans game, whether Zay Flowers plays or not, I hope Rashad Baitman goes crazy, man. because if he can go crazy that will boost his confidence so much and that will boost a lot of other people's confidence in him too. So anyway, he said um my friends are like 50/50 when it comes to Rashad Baitman. So it goes unsaid that this Sunday there are a group of folks that Hope Bait just takes over and looks just as phenomenal as Flowers did last week and I'm one. Go bait. I I love that. I love that. And I agree with you. I'm I'm right there with you too, Ben. Go bait. Go off. Go crazy. and make who that nation know exactly who you are. Next question came from my guy Raven Pride. He said, "Hey, engraven. How are you doing, my brother? Hope everything is well with you and your family. Everything is good, my guy. Appreciate you." He said, "I just wanted to say, boy, did Isaiah likely put on a show." I mean, he was unbelievable. I believe he wanted to show the Ravens what they were missing this year. I am so happy. He is given an opportunity to showcase his talent, and I wish him all the luck in the world. Hey, he don't need no luck when you got skill like that. Like, he got it. But Isaiah likely, man, yeah, he looked great uh for the Giants. Uh he he looked amazing in that game. Jackson Dart, Jackson D looked really good, too. But Isaiah likely was his crutch, his security blanket, his safety blanket. Um but he's just a baller. Forget all that safety stuff. Like Isaiah likely was just a baller. But he did continue to show that he is clutch. Jackson Dart went to him on key situations, especially toward the end of the game. And Isaiah likely, he made it happen, man. So, it ain't no surprise that he is showing out. We knew he was gonna show out, but uh it does still hurt though. Week one thoughts. Next question came from my guy MJ. He said, "Hang Raven. I just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing with the Be More community, bringing us all together." No, you ain't got to thank me. I I thank y'all for supporting. I thank y'all for being here. I thank y'all for being in the streams. I thank y'all for coming through to the videos, for everything, man. I thank y'all for supporting. And y'all are what makes everything happen. everything. I could sit up here and talk behind this camera and on this microphone all day, every day, but if nobody come through to show support, not only to me, but to each other, to everybody that'd be here, too, then nothing would happen. So, this is all y'all, man. I appreciate you. He said, "Now, my pros, cons, and concerns. Keep in mind, I know it's week one. Pros, uh, I liked we actually got turnovers and pressure on the quarterback." Yeah, we love that. He said, "Also, we actually finished strong, didn't allow a comeback, and even after the play, Lamar fumbled, and Indie scored. mentor said, "No, I don't care what the clock says. Score again." And I love that. They they Yeah, they ain't let them come back. And and they had a lot of reasons why they could have. They lost a Flowers. They lost Jacobe Lane. Lamar Jackson with the fumble and the turnover, and that was a touchdown. And they Ravens has seemed like they was a little flat for a while. So, Colts could have snuck back in, but Ravens said, "Yeah, no, we ain't doing that." He said, "The offense looked really good. Kind of gives 2024 offensive vibes. They were explosive." Yeah, they were fun, man. and we had a bunch of penalties, so we didn't even get all the yards we were supposed to. And he said the cons, uh oh, run stopping defense. Yeah, Jonathan Taylor again, one of the best running backs in the league. He was going crazy, though. Uh penalties, self-explanatory. Yeah, that was ugly. Uh ball security. Flowers at the end zone. Lamar sack. The Flowers one. Uh I mean, he it wasn't a fumble. He was down, but I do get what you say. It was It was close. It was close, but he was down. But I I see what you're saying cuz you you like you don't even want there to be no question. You don't want there to be no chance. You don't want But he was down with Lamar. Um that fumble he did fumble and it was a turnover, but he had defense in his face like from jump and that's tough especially cuz I believe it was on his blind side too. I know he was he was in the middle of a uh a play action the play action boot but yeah. So yeah, but we don't want no fumbles. Ball security. We we don't want no turnovers. We we hate that. We hate it. We wanted them to hold on to the ball, not put superglue because you can't have if you're the quarterback, you try to throw, you got super glue. It's getting stuck. But we get what you mean, man. Anyway, he said concerns wide receiver that with Z Flowers and Jacobe Lane out. Not sure who can step up. WELL, YOU GOT A LOT OF OPTIONS. You got a lot of options and Ravens certainly looking around at people, too. So, we'll see this Sunday against New Orleans. We'll see who ends up stepping up. He said, "Baitman, I was never a fan, but Sunday was his chance to make myself and others eat our words, but with 53 snaps played, he ended up with zero catches and one target." Chris Moore stepped up and had a 50 yard pass, this makes me miss likely even more. Wow. What timing? What timing? Especially with the previous question, but with with Bait, let's see. Let's see. Give him a shot. Give him a It was one week. Uh, so give Rashad Baitman a shot. Let's see how he does against New Orleans because now I'm sure he will be even more game planned into the game plan. So let's see number seven shine man wide receiver dep. Next question came from my guy Clyde. He said good morning brother. Drink some tea and honey for your voice from all the celebrating from the Colts game. Oh yeah that that game initially my voice was done but then Ravens fell flat and then I I got to chill because Ravens wasn't doing too much of nothing for a while but then they did close it out so that was nice. Anyway, I said great win for Ravens. they will be a real problem once they get the rust off of them. My question is, what do you feel we need to do with our receiver depth now that they in Lane are dealing with injuries? Are there any good free agents left and should we trade for a good wide receiver or is it time for our wide receivers to step up? Thank you. No, thank you, man. Um, our wide receiver dep is definitely being tested. Yeah, with two of our top three wide receivers probably going to be out this game. Uh, at least one of our top three receiver. We'll see about Z, but most likely. Um, so yeah, it's time for the guys. This this is an opportunity for them that players obviously players don't want their teammates to get hurt. They don't want their teammates to miss time at all. But those the players want opportunities that TZ Walker want opportunities. Rashad Baitman want opportunities. Uh Leonte Wester, Chris, they all want opportunities. So this is going to be their opportunity to show like hey this is what you wanted. Show us exactly why you deserve it. Next question came from my guy Real Raw Reckless. He said what's up Engraven? What's happening man? He said, "No question today. Just wanted to send peace, love, and blessings to you and team. Keep it clean. The week always goes so much better when the Ravens win. Go Ravens." Hey, so let's hope we could have what, 20 great weeks in a row. I mean, Ravens go undefeated. But no, I I appreciate you, man. Thank you very, very much, man. Increase the level of competition. Next question came from my guy Jay Dub. He said, "What's good in Graven?" Big time win for the Ravens. Yeah, it was. He said, "Do you think the Ravens made the right decision cutting Jake Moody based on how Tyler Loop performed against the Colts?" No, I do not. Um I thought Jake Moody should have stayed, but I like with Jake Moody, it if they needed to get him back, it would be easy to get him back. Um but also I know they they wanted to bring in a wide receiver. They did that with Gage uh Lavdan. Uh they brought him in. Um so and he took Jake Moody spot. So they were like looking around a practice squad, who could we release to where it would have the least negative impact on his team? And they went with the extra kicker. So, I was like, at first I was like, why would you cut him? Like, that's supposed to be competition for Tyler Loop. Keep him on his toes. But then at the same time, I was like, "Oh, well, okay. I'm sure Tyler Loop is still being kept on his toes." Um, because if he mess up, and if it ain't looking too good, then Ravens could easily make a phone call. Anyway, he said, "In my opinion, if you're going to cut Jake Moody, you might as well bring in another kicker to create some competition." Not to take anything away from Tyler in the way he kicked, but I still feel like he needs competition throughout the season, especially heading into the postseason. Uh, as far as the level of competition in the wide receiver room, I think the Ravens will be fine with Bait Mez, Elijah Serat, Chris Moore for the next five, six games. They could lean heavily on the running game with Lamar Jackson and Dererick Henry in the backfield while the receivers get healthy. And we'll see. We'll see. Again, I would much rather Z be out there, Jacob Lane, I want to see our guys. But, um, yeah, we going we going to find out what this Ravens wide receiver room is made of. Uh, and how much Declan Doyle could do with them, too. So, yeah, a lot of pressure. He said, "I definitely don't like the wide receivers." The Ravens signed to the practice squad while cutting Jake Moody. If I'm not mistaken, I believe DeHop is still available in free agency and could be utilized while Jacobe Lane is out on injury reserve and Z Flowers is dayto day. DeAndre Hopkins, good old DeHop. Now, it's crazy because Jacobe Lane and Elijah Serat, in my opinion, they were the wide receivers that were drafted in order to sort of replace Dehop or bring the Ravens what DeHop was supposed to bring them. and that's that big body, big catch radius, uh, contested catch type of receivers. Um, so now it's crazy that Jacobe Lane is out. DeAndre Hopkins is available, but we'll see. I I don't really think any anything's going to come from DeAndre Hopkins. I wouldn't be mad if they brought him back. Uh, but I I don't think they're because they they they looked they they brought in Brandon Cooks for a workout. Um, they signed Gage Lavdan to the practice squad. So, who knows if they're even looking at DeAndre Hopkins. Next question came from my guy Javo. He said, "Daniel Vloski said he'd never seen a quarterback or a team do what Josh Allen did to the Texans since being under head coach Demo Ryan. Lol. He must have forgotten what the Ravens did twice to the Texans. And Dano actually was there for one of them." Oh, he was. Oh, that makes it even worse. And I know he covers a lot of games and but that's why you can't just make these crazy bold statements just because Josh Allen having a good game. And that that's Dan. Y'all already know what time it is with Dan Danielski. He said guess we got to blow him out again to refresh his memory. I wouldn't mind the Brandon Cook signing even though we would have to pay him. Do you think the Steelers would trade us now Javo? Now you know Steelers ain't trading us no Joey Porter Jr. I know you know that. But anyway, it is a fun question though. No, they wouldn't though unless we sent them to world. So that ain't happening. So it ain't happening. He said uh or if the Lions continue to do bad, maybe we can get uh St. Brown out if he wants out. Opera St. Brown. Whoa. They I think he just got paid, right? I couldn't see the Ravens making that move. Oh boy, that would be crazy having Z Flower and Amra that would be fit. But that that ain't happening because Baitman about to step up like crazy. And the last question before our week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, the home opener might How many of y'all going? He said, "Is history going to repeat itself?" And is the next man up? Uhoh. What history? Hopefully good history talking about. He said, "What's up, Greg? It's been a while. He said, "First, before I start on the topic, I want to say that was a very good win in week one. I've been pushing that Z Flowers is a real wide receiver one. Ever since the season ended to the non-believers and to my friends and then he goes for 150 with five catches in just one and a half quarters, just proving everybody wrong so much." So, that I had two friends text me and say, "Yeah, you were right about Zay." Lamar is in MVP form as always and I'm expecting a big year from him like always. Defense played way better and we're not even fully healthy yet with 92 and 40. That's Nami Madabk and Teddy Buchanan. He said, "But I can't lie, at a point in the back of my mind, we had a lead and then they scored 23." And I said, "Oh no, are they about to come back? But I think this is just the first step in the new era, the mentor era with our team closing games that we probably could have lost last year." That's true. That was a nice first step, too. said, uh, I'm I'm excited for the future. Now, finally, to get to my topic. Is history going to repeat itself again? And is the it the next man up? Now, you and team keep it clean are probably wondering what I'm talking about and what history am I talking about? I'm talking about the history of the Ravens double dipping in a draft at a position. Is Elijah Sarat going to overcome Lane? Now, y'all are probably thinking, "Oh, but in the history, it's usually been the second tight ends like with Herz and Andrews, Col, and likely." That's true, but it's a new era with new coaches and with drafting Z Flowers. Uh Ravens history has been changing from we couldn't develop receivers to okay, we could develop them now, we just have to keep it going. It's true. He said when we first drafted the two wide receivers looking at the film, I thought Elijah Sat was the more NFL ready wide receiver and the one to help us out this year and in the future. Lane would emerge and break out. But over the offseason, I was proven wrong. And I was happy to be proven wrong because Lane was going off. It sucks that Lane is injured because he's going to be a real weapon and he's a dog for us. But because of injury, what if Elijah Sarat goes crazy with a position and the opportunity he's about to get for the next month and change? What do you and team keep clean think about it? Whatever it is, we could have a plethora. We could have a bunch of good wide receiver. That would be amazing. And then if Rashad Baitman, he could get going. Then Z Flowers, he come back too. Leonte West is still doing his thing. We still got Chris Moyes. Man, we we want it. We want it. We want that to happen. So if Elijah Sarat can go crazy, like you said, the possibility is and you felt like he was more NFL ready. Hey, this is his opportunity to show it. Please know how much I really, really do love y'all. I was at the finish line, had just finished editing the video. Was at the very, very last part of it. Then I got a email. I'm tired. I'm tired. Anyway, he said, "I just want to get your thoughts on this Sunday. Zay is doubt for the play. So, do you think if Lamar has a Jackson five on Sunday without Zay, would it boost his MVP odds and put him in the front?" Ooh, that's a good question. Um, not in Dan Ovowski's eyes, not in Emanuel Ao's eyes. I think it would all depend on who you ask him. But, uh, right now, like it's like with with Josh Allen, they he like he could do anything. He could sneeze and they say, "Oh my goodness, did you hear Josh Allen sneeze?" He had such a perfect sneeze. And with Daniel Vloski having an MVP vote, I think he still does. I'm not sure. But did y'all hear what he said about how like with comparing like Jaylen Herz um to like Justin Herbert when he was ask when I heard that I said, "Whoa, wow. That kind of hurt, man." I was like, "Whoa, it was something." Anyway, um, basically, cuz I want to be one of the people that, "Oh, did you hear it?" And then if you ain't here, then I'm like, "Oh, you got to find out for yourself." No, he I forgot the question that he was asked. But somebody asked him like, "Why do you love quarterbacks that haven't accomplished anything?" Something like that. Paraphrasing, but he was like basically with Jaylen, he just said this big like word salad that did it. It just was a bunch of nothing. But then he was like, "Well, with when when when you think about it, like I forget exactly how he said it, but he's like, "Oh, Justin Herbert, that's how you expect the quarterback to look." Something like that. Look, I'm please please watch the clip for yourself. I know it's somewhere floating out there, but please watch the clip for yourself. Because when I heard when I watched it, I said, "Whoa, that whoa." But it was just it it was wild. Anyway, uh he said, "I know Raven fans are more worried about a ring, and I completely understand.
