RAVENS FANS WERE RIGHT ABOUT JOHN HARBAUGH! | LAMAR JACKSON COVERED UP HIS BIGGEST FLAW FOR YEARS!

I don't think I've seen anybody explain John Harbaugh's tenure with Lamar Jackson better than this. >> Daniel Faalele being bad in front of Lamar was fixable in your opinion because of Lamar. But now, you don't have Lamar, so now you got to coach. You got to look at things differently. This to me this is this rang out loudly. Yeah, this is what you've done all this time. You've you've won You said, "Let's win because of Lamar." You Your job was on the line because you were four and five. Joe Flacco goes down, Lamar saves your your job. And he ultimately saved your career. So, everything you did was built on Lamar fix it. And now that you have to look at things like like regular football coaches, you realize you don't have number eight there. So, now you got to make football decision. If you made those decisions when you were here, how much better could we have been? That's what pisses me off. What pisses me off is now you're making real decisions like a real freaking coach. But when you were here, you had number eight. And you just leaned on eight. And everything was his Everything was number eight's fault. >> He'll fix it. >> He Exactly. He didn't do it. He didn't do it. No, you didn't do your job. You didn't do your job. You got lazy and you got comfortable because you had the greatness of number eight. But now you got to see things in a real perspective, real life. And you realize that dude sucks. >> And shout out to Rob Long of 105.7 The Fan [clears throat] because he explained it perfectly. Uh the Ravens specifically with John Harbaugh, the way that he coached this football team, he [snorts] just relied on Lamar Jackson to save the day entirely too much. And he let a lot of things just slide because he had Lamar Jackson. He knew what Lamar Jackson could do. Uh specifically with Daniel Faalele, the scenario it highlighted it even more. Cuz like we said, Daniel Faalele was a starter for Lamar Jackson for not one, but two years. Two years. And he started in one preseason game for Jackson Dart for one game and all of a sudden, boom. John Harbaugh was like, all right, yeah, he's tradeable. We we can get rid of him. We can move on. And in fact, he was never even the starter for the Giants in the first place. He was a backup offensive lineman. So, that showed just how John Harbaugh truly felt about Daniel Faalele and the quality of Daniel Faalele's play. But, for Lamar Jackson, this was somebody that was supposed to protect him. For Jackson Dart, oh, nope, this is unacceptable. He can go. So, it was decisions like those throughout the years. And I appreciated what Rob said the most where he said, how much better could this team have been How much more could the Baltimore Ravens had accomplished if John Harbaugh actually really coached? What's crazy about this whole thing, what Rob said, so many Ravens fans have been saying for year years years. And there will be other people like, oh, no, y'all don't know what y'all talking about. Oh, Ravens fans, they just yapping. Oh, Ravens fans, what is that? But, everything's coming out. Everything. And we ain't even started the regular season yet, but so much stuff with John Harbaugh that Ravens fans have been talking about for years, it continues to come out. It continues to show itself. Ravens fans been calling this for a long long time. They said, John, he don't he don't really coach like he should be coaching. He not making the right decisions like he should be making them. And I love how Rob said, hey, like now, he got to look at things with a completely different set of glasses on. He got to look at things in a in a completely different light because now he actually really has to coach He can't just be like, all right, Lamar, go out there, do your thing, save it. Hey, you got it. No, he can't do it cuz Lamar ain't there. Lamar is not there. And John Harbaugh has come to the realization of that pretty quickly. But see, that that's what makes these last 8 years so frustrating. Because if the Ravens would have really went all in on Lamar. If they really would have coached up to what the standard should have been instead of being like, "All right, we got eight we going to be straight." Then things could have been so much better for this football team. All the Super Bowls that we felt like we should have won, could have won. It might have happened by now. But we still waiting on that first one in this era. Now, the Ravens they of course took a big step this offseason with moving on from John Harbaugh, which was great, which was amazing. And they moved on to Jesse Minter. They brought in a defensive coach that actually coach that does the X's and O's. And it's seeming like Jesse Minter is just such a great fit already with these Baltimore Ravens. So, we hope that moving forward that he's already shown like that he is coaching and so many Ravens have said it's the details. Like uh I know I think Rashod Bateman uh Ronnie Stanley they were asked about it yesterday. Marlon Humphrey even talked about it, too. They said with Jesse Minter one of the biggest differences that he pays attention to the little details with stuff with this football team. And that's something that the Baltimore Ravens have been missing. So, let's hope that with this new era of the Lamar Jackson era that they can actually do the right thing and get the job done. Now we at my favorite part of the video where we feature your questions. Let's get straight into it. First one came from a Team Keep It Clean patron, my guy Derek. We love Like hey, no, don't stop. Don't stop. We would love man Justin Je- mhm mhm mhm Anyway, >> [clears throat] >> he said, "Um my real question, we lost Linderbaum and now we lost Danny Pinter for the year. Do you see it out of the realm of possibility that we take a center again next year?" Oh, no, no, no. No, that's my opinion, that's realistic. That's what they are going to do. Um they said they wanted to take a center this year. Obviously didn't work out. The numbers Eric DeCosta said the numbers didn't fall in his favor or the players didn't fall in his favor, but even had we not lost Danny Pinter I would have still thought the Ravens were taking a center next year, for sure. Danny Pinter, one year deal. Ja'Wuan James, one year deal. Ethan Posic, one year deal. There is no longevity at the center position for the Baltimore Ravens right now. So, now Danny Pinter, he'll be coming off an injury. Ethan Posic, he's coming off an injury. And with Ja'Wuan James, we'll see what he got. It's looking like now he's probably going to be the start. Well, Ethan Posic, we'll see what he does, but since there's no longevity there, then yeah, I would definitely think that they would take a center next year regardless. Like regardless of who's on the roster. He said they they tend to fall back in the later rounds after all. Could Could you see us trading for Saints center Cesar Ruiz? He signed to a $44 million deal. No. Yeah, that part right there. Nope. I I I don't see it. But anyway, he said he signed to a $44 million deal or $30 million guarantee. What are your thoughts? Yeah, I I think the Ravens are just going to stick with who they got on the roster right now cuz Ja'Wuan James, Ethan Posic, and they still got Corey Bullock, too. So, I I think they'll just roll with those guys. Is the Ravens front office trustworthy? Next question came from my guy Jay. He said, "What's good in engraving? This is my first question, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jay." Okay, shout out to you, man. I appreciate you. He He "And I'm wishing nothing but the best to team. Keep it clean, fam. Hey, thank you very, very, very much." He said, "On to my question, which might be a little long considered it is long overdue. Anyway, due to the recent events with 77, my suspicion that John William Harbaugh was wasting Lamar's career have become almost undeniable." He said, "At the minimum, I believe Harbs gave up and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt. We've all had jobs where we were over it, just collecting paychecks. Oof." Yes, we have. Ooh, and that's that's a feeling right there, man. When you just you're showing up and just Yeah, you're getting the check. You're like, "Ugh, I ain't I ain't really feeling this." And sometimes like Now that you say that, I wonder if Ooh, man. I'm saying I hope not. Just one thing we'll never know, but cuz I've been there before where you're showing up to work and you almost like kind of hope to get fired almost. You're showing up. And you're just you're you're you're you're you're you're just kind of like doing whatever. You're just floating by. You're just like, "Ugh, it is what it is." I wonder if John Harbaugh was Anyway, he said, "Uh I think Harbs hit that point years ago after he won Coach of the Year. I don't think he was mentally with the team and that's probably why things felt stale in the building. Keeping Fish filet and Vohee's out there to protect an all-time great talent proves he wasn't mentally You see That's real because it Vohee's was really rough, too. He was really rough, too. Mhm. He really was. And you know what's crazy is that obviously Daniel Faalele, he was a free agent. Um [snorts] But with Andrew Vohee's, uh they could have cut him this off season to save a good amount of money, but they did he restructured his contract a couple weeks ago. Um but with Andrew Vohee's, he was a starter all last year. Um and he's still on the roster. But Jesse Minter took over and as soon as Jesse Minter became head coach I ain't hear nothing about Andrew Vohee's. Nothing. I had heard not Like all off season, I hadn't heard anything And And this was before like they official I know our starting lineup ain't official official, but it's pretty much set minus the center position. But I hadn't heard nothing about Andrew Vorhees. Then we messed around and signed John Simpson. I said, "Oh." To a what? 3-year $30 million. I said, "Oh, yeah. Vorhees ain't a starter no more." He's not. So, but again, Harbaugh Yeah, he he left him out there. And he he was struggling a lot. Didn't give other guys a chance. Had other guys on the roster. But didn't give those other guys a real shot. Anyway, he said, "That coupled with the abysmal attempts at securing good wide receiver talent for Lamar proves he couldn't care less if Lamar succeeded or not." See that and that was always something that was really weird to me. And I know that that has really been a Ravens thing though forever. I I wonder if the whole T.O. thing might have burned them. Because they traded for Terrell Owens. And I think that might have been it. Now that we think about it. Like think about it out loud. That might have been it. They traded for T.O. They had T.O. T.O. was a Raven for like what? A couple hours. It wasn't long. But T.O. said, "Yeah, no. I ain't I ain't doing it." And that I think the Ravens might have been scarred from that ever since. And they were like, "You know what? We ain't doing this no more. We're not doing it. Um I forget what the trade the compensation was back then. But yeah. And after that, well, Anquan Boldin, he wasn't washed up when we got him. And then it's crazy because we get a receiver that's not washed up, that's healthy, that was like that. They won a Super Bowl. Coincidence? No. It's not. It wasn't. And not that receiver has been the only thing holding the Baltimore Ravens back from winning a Super Bowl because it hasn't, but the way that they go about and have gone about at that position for a long time has been like that for a very very long time. But with Harbaugh's tenure specifically, it got it got ugly. It got really ugly. It got really, really nasty. And I feel like our standards for receiver had gotten like so low. Like I I I remember me >> [snorts] >> um I remember getting excited about Dez Bryant. He hadn't even played in like 3 4 years. I I remember being excited about that. When we signed Sammy Watkins, I was like, oh I was I was I was cool. But I was like, ah we got to get something else cuz cuz we knew about the injury history. And all history did was repeat itself. Sammy Watkins, when he plays, he could play, but the injury history it was rough. Um with DeSean Jackson, I was like, oh he he was just talking about the Ravens on a podcast like a couple weeks prior. And the Ravens they they called him and they said, oh, bring him in. And he hadn't played for like a year. So, and Odell Beckham Jr., he hadn't played in what, a year and a half? He was still dealing with his he wasn't fully healthy. He was cool. He brought a great vibe to the team though. He certainly did. Um it definitely wasn't the Odell Beckham Jr. of old though. Even DeAndre Hopkins, I was excited about him because with DeAndre Hopkins, it's like he and he said it himself, he wasn't here to be like the the starter, he wasn't here to be the number one receiver, he was here to compliment Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. So, I'm like, all right, cool, we got Diva I mean, DeAndre Hopkins, we got Taysom Walker, too. Taysom Walker can still do it. Boy, was I wrong. It's crazy. Anyway, um he also said, I think he knew at the end of the week that paycheck was sweet win or loss. >> [laughter] >> Oh, boy. And that's something right there. You know that paycheck was nice, too, boy. It was nice, too. And I just really think that John Harbaugh was comfortable. I think he was comfortable. And and and this is not something new. This is something that we all a lot of us now I can't say we all, but a lot of us felt for a long time that Harbaugh was comfortable. That's why I never thought that he was going to get fired. Ever. It's the last thing that crossed my mind. Harbaugh getting fired? No, not happening. I would tell I told people that for the longest, for years. Harbaugh I felt like he should have been fired a while ago, but I said Harbaugh ain't never getting fired. Only time Harbaugh won't be Ravens head coach if he decides to leave, he decide to step down. Steve Biscotti said, "Oh, really?" "Really?" It took him a long time, but he said, "Oh, really?" Okay. Harbaugh you had it here. I'm still surprised by that. Anyway, he said, "Now, where it connects with us is I don't believe Harbs traded 77 willingly. I think he was forced. But the thing is, why wasn't he forced here? I know Harbs had the authority over EDC based on years of employment, but how could Biscotti watch 77 become the laughing stock of the team? Get your franchise QB injured and let Harbs have the audacity to get on the podium and say that that's the best five that we have and can get for Lamar." Harbs was untouchable. That's why. Harbs had that say so. That's why. Harbs was that guy. That's why. But that's again it it takes me back to why a lot of Ravens feel that that word that sabotage word they use it a lot. And it's like I don't know. I don't know. Again, I would hope not. But you never know. Cuz to with the quickness, how quick it happened. It happened so fast. With over there in New York with Harbaugh as the Giants head coach. But with the with Ravens, we watched this week after week after week after week after week after week before the trade deadline. And it ain't like they traded him for the old some great draft capital. They traded him for a 2027 I believe a sixth round pick. 2027 sixth round pick. I said, "Oh." But we watched him year after I mean excuse me, well year after year, but game after game and Ravens did nothing. Nothing. They watched boy he was game after game. Ravens did nothing. Not a thing. Nothing. Anyway, he said I'm curious to see how EDC operates as his own man. I honestly feel Harbs had too much control in the building and he overstayed his welcome. Uh while Lamar did have a bunch of individual success, we can never get those eight years of his career back. Ooh. That's tough. That's tough. That's a harsh reality right there. That's why everything from the top of the video what Rob Long said. It hurts that much like how how much better could the Ravens have been? How much more could we have accomplished? It's crazy. He said, "How much different would those Ravens seasons have been if Bashaud had the coconuts to cut off the dead weight? Mhm. Or at least put his foot on Harbaugh's neck. Mhm. He said, "Do you think EDC Bashaud can be trusted to make the right choices going forward? Thank you for reading this and have an amazing day, family. And just like 77, I'm out." That's the question right there. Do you think EDC and Bashaud can be trusted to make the right choices going forward? Well, um going forward, it's it's all about what we see now. Um he made the right choice in was it February or January? When did they fire Harbaugh? I think it was January. They made the right choice this offseason when they fired Harbaugh. So, that was a big step in the right direction. Uh and to start off our offseason, EDC started off with a bang. He really did. But I think I I think I do think there was some buyer's remorse. There was also they they they said they checked it out in the knee it's the degenerative knee issue or whatever it was with Max Crosby. They started off with that and but I do think that there was some buyers remorse. I I I do. I know EDC said, "Oh, well, it was the knee." But I still [snorts] think he was like, "Ooh, two first round picks. You know what? Give me that back." But like to get Vanga Yawanta, to get a high quality starting offensive guard in the first round of the draft and to turn around and and get Trey Hendrick like you like I like that. Like I love Max Crosby. Max Crosby is like he is that guy. One of the best straight up players in the NFL. Not just defensive players. Not just defensive ends. One of the best players in the entire league. Max Crosby is nice. And to have him Oh my goodness. That was But we ain't we ain't end up too bad. And still got the first round draft pick next year. So, we'll see what happens with that. Uh we don't expect it to be worth too much. I mean a third round one pick 32 overall. I mean that's that's cool, but we we could do some stuff with it. Anyway. Um I So, as far as them making the right decisions moving forward, they have made a lot of right decisions uh since this off season. And we can just hope that that continues, but we still got to watch them. We still got to see how they do. We still got to see how they operate moving forward with this football team to truly be able to answer that. Too ready. Next question came from my guy Marcus. He said, "What's good? It's been a minute since I sent one in, but I've been all in the comments on one of my millions of accounts I'm subscribed to you. Appreciate you, man." He said, "I got a lot to say and a lot I have forgot, but let's get to it. I'm going to message y'all on that Lamar you want to go for it era, but I'm more than ready for the upcoming one. Out of everyone who we no longer have, who are you going to miss the most?" Isaiah Likely. Likely by far. Uh he said, "Mine is Mitchell." Oof. That's That's my second place right there. Keep Mitchell. But yeah, Isaiah Likely is number one for me. Uh he said, "Which rookies do you have your eyes on the most?" Well, obviously Jacoby Lane. Uh he said, "Uh mine is Adam Randall." That That's a good one right there, too. That's could be a sneaky one as the season goes along. He said, "Uh out of all of our vets, who do you think will have the best breakout season from last year?" Um Marlon Humphrey. Because of that defense, Jesse Minter's scheme. I think he'll be in much better positions than he was in last year. Uh I will also say Nate Wiggins, too. I'll just really say the secondary uh as a whole. Uh then I think Mike Green, and Malakai Stocks, too. I mean, we said the secondary as a whole, too. So, yeah, that's who I would go with. Uh he said, "Uh mine is Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews." Okay. Those are some good ones. That would certainly be breakouts right there. He [snorts] said, "Even though both of those players have broken out before, it's been kind of quiet on them the past couple years." Anyway, he said, "It's sad to see some of our fans bashing our own players after one bad game or one bad season, such as people like Marlon, Derrick, Andrews, Bateman, Roquan." I ain't seen nobody bash no Derrick Henry. I ain't seen nobody bash him. Uh definitely seen people bash Marlon Humphrey, for sure. Mark And Yeah, Rashod Yeah, Roquan Yeah, Zay Flowers. I haven't I I've seen people a little bit, but not because of a bad season, but just I know some people feel like he wasn't worth the money. Um some people feel like he's not a number one receiver. I seen people have those conversations, but not the straight-up "Oh, Zay sucks. He's terrible." I ain't never seen nobody say that. Uh anyway, he said, "And even Lamar Jackson at a point in time when some of the these guys did the most for us." Oh, remember those times, especially around contract times, man. Yeah. He said, "It got ugly everywhere." It was a lot It was a lot of nasty agendas going on back then, boy. And there's still plenty going on now, but even from even Ravens' own fan Ooh, yeah. Ooh, yeah. Nasty time. Anyway, he said, "Who do you think is our biggest sleepers on the team?" He said, "His is Keion Mitchell and T.J. Tampa." Biggest sleepers on the team, um Mm. >> [clears throat] >> Uh wow. Travis Jones. Um, also Oh, Tayshaun Gibson receiver. That's what I would say. Oh, and really the whole tight end room right now. Well, yeah, they got to give us a little reason to wake up. But I mean that first preseason game with Hekker, he he gave us reason. So I would I wouldn't be surprised Mark Andrews suited up in the next preseason game. Anyway, he said, "What do you think our record will be this year?" Oh, I think 12 and 5. He said, "I feel like since we started off last year 1 and 5, we will start off 5 and 1." >> [laughter] >> Oh, last year was ugly. That was crazy, man. >> [snorts] >> He said, "I feel I feel like we'll start off 5 and 1 losing to either the Colts or the Cowboys and ending the season at 13 and 4." Be a great record right there. He said, "Do you think you can get a quick interview with Lamar Jackson and what would you ask?" We might have to drop a little throwback video um before the season starts. That'll be a little special. So, we we had to do that. He said, "Have any of the fans from Team Keep It Clean surprised you and what was the biggest surprise? I mean, um no, not really. What you mean What you mean by surprise me?" Um, I don't know what you mean by that. He said, "Probably might come back with some more soon, but I just want to say I appreciate you and I notice a lot of us fam will be going through things in life, whether it's family members, depression, or other things.
