We're going to look at a sun temple
built in the 800s, 900s. Then we'll go
around the shopping area after this and
show you guys a very busy area that we
saw further down the road. But first up
we have the sun temple.
Um I don't know too much about this. I
just know when it was approximately
built.
Um can we go inside or is this closed
off?

>> at this architecture is so good.
>> So beautiful. So beautiful. So this is
one of uh three sun temples in India and
this is dedicated to it's also known as
Surya the lord
goddess Surya the sun god.
>> Yeah because we pray like sun, moon,
every. So sun is also like a god for us
Indian people and this is dedicated to
lord Vishnu also.
>> Okay.
>> Vishnu
you know Vishnu
they are like main three gods Brahma,
Vishnu, Mahesh. So
this Vishnu is like for more being nice,
patient. You should be like good values.

Um I was looking on Wikipedia and the
internet as much as I could before.
But obviously when you show up to a
place

you kind of don't you don't know what it
is until until you get here. What do you
think so far?

this uh architecture, you know.

>> Like just imagine 1,200 years ago, this
was built and still everything is like
same.

um I think the British brought some of
this um like uh like conservative dress
to India, right?

>> So, so I think before this the women
would just use uh the sari and no top.
They would just kind of have things
covered.
Uh as you can see by some of the
architecture reflects the history
from long ago.
>> And also uh you know, Kama Sutra came
from India only.

>> Yeah. So, there
there are some places where you will see
uh these Kama Sutra designs on the
architecture.
>> making uh sculptures.
>> Yeah, because we used to see this as uh
in a pure way, like to making love.
>> Uh-huh.
>> Not like just porn.
>> Right, vulgar stuff, right, right,
right. Yeah, so very interesting. Let's
uh
uh let's make this a quick uh little
circle around this uh temple.
Uh I don't know again, I don't know if

just cuz it's, you know, it's a small
town, so this is what you can find when
you get outside of the tourist areas in
India.
