This is the Design Expo of 2026.
The projects here are truly amazing.
Like I I'm really like taken aback when
seeing these cuz I it's like wow, like
people people design this in a year.
Like there's a snowmobile over there.
Number one, I wanted a tank.
So we have to show our full design
process from start to finish, which
really helps for engineering jobs in the
future, um because that's expected out
of any engineer. You like you should be
able to describe your full thought
process as to how you came across the
design, how you iterated on it. So we
were able to kind of synthesize all of
that together for Expo, which is a
really good introduction to future
career life. Uh at Design Expo, various
groups get to showcase their most
impressive projects from freshman
engineering groups to senior design
projects like myself. We're really
excited about our our design and we like
telling people about it. I I'm a bit of
a talker.
And we find it's really fun, so we like
to show it off. And we're here to show
you things. We're both freshman. We're
trying to explore this and I want to
look at the other senior design projects
as well, see what we're going to be
doing in our internship. And so that's
really exciting for us. And I think we
are struggling in the exact ways [music]
that they want us to, not the ways that
they don't want us to. So every obstacle
I think we met with uh with the right
attitude. We've seen some very very
technical projects.
Um a lot of projects that have very real
societal impact as well, environmental
impact. [music] And I think we all have
some personal connection to people who
have struggled with their health care
devices and just that's not something
that you want to be focused on during
your recovery. So we agreed to get after
it. We got it approved in October and
the semester began in January. That's
really how long the design process has
taken.
