Proof Just Dropped for a Nintendo Direct & Ocarina of Time for Next Week!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video begins with an announcement of a giveaway for a Nintendo Switch 2, where subscribers can enter via a link to win the console by October 1st. The host then shifts focus to recent developments regarding *Stellar Blade* on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, revealing that the game targets 60 FPS in both handheld and docked modes with upscaling resolutions of 720p and 1080p respectively. Technical details indicate the use of a hybrid approach combining AMD FSR 3.1 for frame interpolation and DLSS for upscaling, alongside plans for a day-one patch to optimize performance. Additionally, an interview with Shift Up's CTO suggests that the game will utilize the exact same haptic data as the PlayStation 5 version to ensure an identical HD Rumble experience on the Switch 2, though further exciting features remain unrevealed.
Further news covers the *LEGO Harry Potter Collection*, which is set to receive a digital-adjacent physical release in the form of a game key card available on October 16th. This compilation includes remastered versions of years five through seven alongside the original four, uniting spell-casting and puzzle-solving elements for players of all ages. The host notes that since the title is already present on the original Switch, this new release likely represents a specific version for the Switch 2, though details regarding upgrade paths remain unclear. This segment serves as a brief interlude before the video dives into the main topic: the mounting evidence suggesting an imminent Nintendo Direct scheduled for next week, specifically on September 10th, 2026.
The host presents several pieces of circumstantial and direct evidence to support the theory of a Direct occurring on September 10th. First, Sony's announcement of back-to-back *State of Play* events on September 3rd and in Japan makes it highly unlikely for Nintendo to hold a Direct that same week, as they typically avoid scheduling them simultaneously. Second, the Nintendo Direct website was updated just four hours prior to the video's recording, a pattern previously observed before past Directs, with Bradley Taylor noting similar updates occurred shortly before events on June 9th and September 8th in previous years. Third, leaked files for *Just Dance: Decades of Hits* explicitly stated by Ubisoft that the official reveal would happen on September 10th, a date consistent with Nintendo's historical practice of showcasing new *Just Dance* titles during their Directs since 2022.
Finally, the video highlights significant updates regarding *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* remake, which is expected to be a major focus of the upcoming Direct. A recent age rating submission in South Korea revealed that the game received a 12+ rating, which is notably higher than the original ESRB rating for the 3DS version and suggests potential censorship regarding violence or blood. Despite concerns about changes to the game's controversial "bottom of the well" content, the host expresses strong confidence that the full reveal is imminent. With the evidence stacking up from Sony's schedule, website activity, *Just Dance* leaks, and official rating submissions, the host concludes that a Nintendo Direct featuring these announcements will almost certainly take place next week, urging viewers to tune in for what promises to be a major event.

Well, folks, we're giving away a
Nintendo Switch 2 right now. You can
enter through the link in the pinned
comment or the description. I will note
we are drawing the winners on October
1st, and the only requirement in order
to enter is to be subscribed to this
YouTube channel. All right, guys. We
have some news to go over today. We're
going to be talking about Stellar Blade.
We have some first-ever footage of it
being seen on Nintendo Switch 2,
including some tech specs to go behind.
So, we're going to go over that. We have
some stuff going on here with a leaked,
I guess semi-leaked version of the LEGO
Harry Potter collection uh getting a
somewhat physical release on Switch 2.
You probably understand what that means.
And then, guys, the evidence is stacking
up. Look, you guys saw my last couple of
videos. We talked about a Nintendo
Direct happening in the second week of
September. We talked about it happening
on September 10th. We just got
essentially a nail in the coffin moment
about not only a Direct happening next
week, in fact, several pieces of
information and news now pointing to a
Nintendo Direct being next week, but
even one particular thing pointing to it
being literally on September 10th. Oh,
and by the way, a bit of a bonus and an
addendum to the Direct story, we have a
small update, our first real update on
Ocarina of Time in a long time that
might get you excited for what we're
about to see next week.
Oh, I'm so excited, guys. Oh, I can't
wait. I know this is the Direct I've
been waiting for ever since they teased
Ocarina of Time. All right, guys.
Let's go ahead and dive into our very
first story here. And this one deals
with Stellar Blade. So, you're seeing
here Stellar Blade on Switch 2 is
targeting 60 FPS upscaled on 720p in
handheld and upscaled 1080p docked.
We're going to go over all the details
here and some additional information.
Here's some footage of the game being
played at Gamescom. So, the technical
details are as follow. 60 FPS is the
target in both handheld and docked mode.
It is upscaled 720p in handheld mode and
upscaled 1080p in docked mode. DLSS is
the technology they're using for that
upscaling. It does have AMD FSR 3.1 is
used for frame interpolation. So, here's
really interesting, but they're using a
combination of FSR and DLSS. Very
interesting. Uh no separate graphics
modes on this and a day one patch is
planned for optimization. Uh so, that is
obviously really, really cool. Um but,
we're not done with that information
here because IGN had a chance to chat
with Dong Key Lee, CTO at Shift Up. Uh
he had a lot to say about things like HD
Rumble, too. So, he said, "If we had to
try to create the data for it to work on
Switch 2 for HD Rumble, we wouldn't have
been able to offer the same experience.
What we did was take the exact same data
that we used for PlayStation 5 and
convert it to fit HD Rumble on Switch 2.
So, what you're feeling is actually the
exact same gameplay experience that you
would actually feel on PS5." Uh he also
went on to say that we plan on revealing
something later, maybe, maybe not.
"Well, I'm not wanting to give you an
expectation. We just haven't revealed
any more details yet." And this has to
do with, well, he was asked if there
would be more exciting stuff for
Nintendo fans to look forward to in this
port. So, he's not going to give us any
additional details on that, but I do
find all this to be really, really
interesting when we're talking about
this prospect of Stellar Blade on Switch
2. Uh this is really exciting stuff to
me. What's also exciting is how about
the LEGO Harry Potter Collection? That's
right, it's going to be a
digital/physical release on Switch 2.
Look, it's a game key card, guys, so we
should just say it's a digital and
digital-adjacent release. I get it, you
can resell it, it is technically a
physical card. Anyways, uh LEGO Harry
Potter Collection includes LEGO Harry
Potter Years 1 through 4 and LEGO Harry
Potter Years 5 through 7 remastered.
This compilation unites the creative
prowess of LEGO and the expansive world
of Harry Potter with an exciting journey
full of spell casting, potion making,
puzzle solving, lessons, dueling, and
much more for players of all ages to
enjoy. Now, according to the listing, it
is a game that popped up on Video Game
Plus for October 16th. Now, it's notable
that this is literally already on the
original Switch, so this should be a
switch two version. Don't know if
there's like any upgrade paths or free
upgrades or or any of that stuff, but
hey guys, uh that is where we're at with
that. Now,
we get into what you're really here for,
the headline topic, the
the coup de grâce. Look, I've been
talking for multiple days and making a
pretty big bet that there will be a
Direct on September 10th, 2026. I've
already talked about my mathematical
reasons I believe in that date so fully
in the last video, and we talked about
some other stuff in the video before.
But today, the evidence is mounting so
much that it's practically
insurmountable that there will be a
Nintendo Direct next week, and it's
highly likely on September 10th. In
fact, so confident in all of this that I
actually have this going on. Uh yeah, I
already set up a live stream for it.
That's how crazy I am. Uh and look,
guys, I'll just say this, if it happens
on the 8th or 9th,
how am I supposed to feel bad about
getting it sooner than I expected? Like,
that's a win for me, baby. But
obviously, if it happens on the 10th, I
don't know, people are always going to
be mad about stuff, guys. Have a little
fun. It's the internet. We're supposed
to be having fun here. Not everything
needs to be so damn serious all the
time. All right, guys, let's go ahead
and get into now the reasons today that
are stacking up for why there'll be a
Direct next week. And it actually begins
with an official announcement by Sony.
They are having a State of Play. They
announced it right here. State of Play
returns on September 3rd followed
immediately by a State of Play in Japan
for whatever they exclusively want to
show in Japan. Uh full details on the
back-to-back broadcast are on their
website. We're not going to go over all
the details because, you know, we do
usually live stream these, but again,
I'm going to be traveling and working on
other stuff, so I'm not going to be able
to stream the State of Play this time.
It's one of the first ones I've missed
in years, but that's okay, guys. Uh
that's really cool though that it's
happening. That also practically
guarantees, not 100%, that there won't
be a Direct this week. Typically, they
don't do Directs the same week as State
of Plays. It has happened, but it's
pretty rare. Uh so, that's a pretty good
indication that it won't be this week.
And obviously, we know Tokyo Game Show
happens on the 17th, plus Fire Emblem
comes out that week. Those are also both
reasons that there won't be a Direct
that week, either. So, okay. We talked
about some of this stuff before. But now
we have other things happening. How
about the fact that the Nintendo Direct
website always gets updated shortly
before Direct, usually within 10 days or
a couple of weeks. So, Bradley Taylor
noticed here that the Nintendo Direct
website was updated 4 hours ago. This
was uh say yesterday. Uh and it says,
"Keep in mind on June 1st, I noticed
this too, and then June 9th was a
Direct." So, September 8th, 9th, or
10th. Again, just more evidence pointing
to next week. And that time, coming
directly from Nintendo themselves.
But things get even wilder. Because
guys, uh
I don't know if you're aware, but the
new Just Dance game that's coming out
this year, like they they teased that
there would be an announcement about it
related in September. They teased that
during the summer. They didn't really
say much, just "Hey, we're doing
something different with the series.
Tune in in September." Okay, cool. Now,
the reveal of the actual series has
always happened in Ubisoft Forwards and
or Nintendo Directs, especially Nintendo
Directs since 2022. Now, not necessarily
always the full blowout with the full
tracklist and all that. Ubisoft usually
does that on their own, but hey, they do
usually show the game first in a
Nintendo Direct. Now, this is really
interesting uh because it ended up
leaking. So, the not the not the the the
actual showcase, but what we're saying
here is that Just Dance, the new Just
Dance, ended up having some old files
leak on the internet that have been
passed around. This caused the official
Just Dance account to issue the
following statement. "Hello dancers.
We've noticed that certain content
related to Just Dance: Decades of Hits,
including visuals and gameplay elements,
has been circulating online. Though it
wasn't meant to be shared just yet. In
several cases, this content reflects
early or work-in-progress stages of
development and doesn't necessarily
represent the final quality, polish, or
vision that our teams are putting into
this game. While we understand this may
generate excitement within the
community, we believe every player
deserves to discover decades of hits as
it's truly meant to be experienced with
the full context and care that have gone
into its creation. We're committed to
sharing the completion picture with you
on September 10th. And we sincerely
thank you for your patience and
continued support in the meantime. Oh,
baby, baby, baby.
Ubisoft had their game leaked, so they
dropped the date. They're obviously not
saying the direct is that day.
But they almost always show off Just
Dance games in directs. Oh, man. And if
that's not enough for you cuz you're
just like, well, you know what? None of
that really matters. What really matters
is, you know, is it actually going to
happen that day? It's not from Nintendo.
Well,
one person who's been known to have
inside information and done lots of
various reports,
uh, talked about this a little bit and
he quoted this person saying it makes
sense that it seems that the direct is
on September 10th. This is in response
to the Just Dance news. And then Necro
Felipe said sim. Now, this is actually
Portuguese, which means yes. So, he's
essentially saying, yes, the direct will
be September 10th. All of this, by the
way, after I called my shot yesterday. I
just want to note that. I don't deserve
any credit, by the way, if this thing
ends up being right. I just
put some logical reasoning behind things
and came to what is the only logical
conclusion and I trust my ability to
logic. There is, you know, certain
fallacies out there about rumors and and
and and research and statistical stuff.
I really don't care. I trust my math.
Now,
we have to also talk about this direct
because there's going to be Zelda 40th
anniversary stuff in it and there's
going to be Ocarina of Time. And we have
a smidge of an update for Ocarina of
Time and it's only notable for one
reason. It has to do with an age rating
getting posted in South Korea, but it's
not so much that the age rating exists
or what it is. It's the fact that it's
actually higher than the 3DS release for
Ocarina of Time 3D. So, The Legend of
Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake receives a
12+ rating in Korea. So, one of the most
unexpected game announcements of the
year has to be Ocarina of Time remake,
which was revealed during the Nintendo
Direct back in June. And he talks about
a little bit of his memories here. So,
he says, "According to Korea's Game
Ratings and Administration Committee,
Nintendo Korea submitted an application
to have the game rated in South Korea on
July 16th, 2026, and got approval on
July 24th. The game received a 12+
rating. This is arguably the first
meaningful update of the game since its
initial teaser. It could be a sign that
Nintendo is preparing for a more
substantial announcement, obviously,
with the direct coming up here. With
many players hoping to get their hands
on the game as early as October or
November, an official release date would
certainly make sense sooner than later.
Now,
that's really interesting because it is
higher than the original rating. The
original rating was actually for
everyone. It was basically one of the
lowest child ratings you could have.
12+
Look, guys,
obviously, different age rating boards,
different countries mean different
things. Could just be art direction
related, cartoon fantasy violence,
it being a little more realistic,
obviously, could lead to a higher age
rating.
I know a lot of us are hoping that this
means the bottom of the well hasn't
really been changed, right? They're
still going to have the torture devices
and the blood on the walls and Dead Hand
doing his creepy stuff and Dead Hand
looking creepier than ever.
I certainly don't think they're going to
eliminate the bottom of the well. I
wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit
more censorship with the bottom of the
well. We'll see, just because they want
to keep the age rating down, but that's
the one aspect of the game that's like,
"Man, if they submitted that to the
rating boards and they didn't change any
of that, and they were showing torture
devices, red blood, and what Dead Hand
truly is, there's no way this doesn't
end up rated something that closer to T
for teen." But,
it is what it is, guys. Obviously, we
don't know anything until we see the
damn game. And the good news is we
shouldn't have to wait long to see the
damn game. It's going to be next week.
I'm very, very confident in that.
All right, guys. That's it. The hype man
is checking out for the rest of the day.
Not really. We'll be live tonight, but
you know what I mean. I got other videos
and stuff I got to edit for when I'm
leaving for PAX cuz I fly out in less
than 48 hours.
All right, guys. Thank you so much for
tuning in.
I'll catch you in the next video.
