Video summary
The video begins with a focus on maintaining a disciplined trading mindset as the market approaches the close of the day, emphasizing that success comes from following a plan rather than gambling or succumbing to greed and doubt. The host reviews the day's market conditions, noting a significant drop in major indices like the S&P 500, NASDAQ, and Dow Jones, which created a tight trading range despite some volatility. While commodities like natural gas saw gains, equities generally struggled, with tech stocks such as Nvidia and AMD leading the declines. The host shares updates on his personal portfolio, highlighting profits from iron condor strategies and British iron condors, while admitting to small losses on a Coinbase day trade that was cut early due to unexpected market movement. He also discusses adjustments made to specific positions in response to earnings reports for companies like Booking Holdings and Home Depot, demonstrating a flexible approach to managing risk and locking in gains when appropriate.
A significant portion of the broadcast is dedicated to software updates for his trading platform, "The Fluxinator," where he introduces new features designed to streamline option selling strategies. He explains how he has split vertical spread options into separate sell and buy categories for both puts and calls, allowing users to execute specific strategies with a simple right-click action. Additionally, he enhances the risk graph by adding detailed data points such as delta, mid-price, and implied volatility directly onto the interface, and integrates a news tab featuring an economic calendar and live feeds from Financial Juice. Although he encounters some technical issues with the voice deal feature on Financial Juice, he remains optimistic about the platform's capabilities and encourages viewers to explore these new tools for better trade execution and analysis.
As the market nears its close, the host engages in a final trading attempt using a calendar spread strategy on Target stock, aiming to capitalize on potential post-earnings drift despite the stock gapping up at the open. He navigates the choppy end-of-day environment where the S&P 500 fluctuates within a narrow range before eventually dipping below key support levels, causing his VIX indicator to rise slightly. In a last-minute effort, he attempts to fill orders on specific put strikes but faces challenges with execution prices and market depth, ultimately settling for a small profit or breaking even on the trade. The session concludes with a wrap-up of the day's activities, acknowledging that while some trades were successful, others resulted in minor losses, reinforcing the importance of consistency over individual outcomes.

show. Come on, trade hackers, get ready
to go. Zero day options. [music] Time to
make bank. Get locked and loaded, then
be ready to blank. Hey,
[music]
hello everyone. Welcome to Power Hour
Live. Today's August 18th on a Tuesday.
Uh quick audio video check. Discord
Discord has been a little fussy lately.
Make sure you can hear my voice. See my
screen. Okay,
good. Thank you. Thank you all. Uh S&P's
down 51 points. NASDAQ is down 525.
Russell's down 37. Dow is down 107.
NASDAQ the weakest down about 1.75%.
Most of that came with the gap down.
In [snorts] fact, the S&P has had a
16point range today.
Crazy
crazy tight range. Gold's down 1.3%.
Silver is down three and a half. Notes
and bonds are both a little bit green.
10-year yield down a quarter percent.
Oil's up less than a half percent.
Natural gas up almost three and a half
percent. Uh soybeans, wheat, and corn
all finished red. Euro and the pound are
flat. Bitcoin is up a little over half
percent. VIX up 3%, 15.65.
[clears throat]
As far as my trades today,
I took [clears throat] one day trade in
Coinbase,
small size. Uh, it was a loser. I was
trying to get short under
previous day low. I hit one profit
target, but then it pumped, so I cut out
of that pretty early for a small loss.
Um,
British iron condors are green. No
double stops.
Fed had quite a few one-sided stops, but
I've got a couple of tanches open. One,
two, three tanches open that could still
potentially pin up about 1,200 or so
right now.
Uh, did a couple adjustments to my time
fly. Those were posted in the option
selling trade channel.
What else do I have here? Oh, my one DTE
Iron Condor.
Uh, that is up about 27%.
[clears throat]
Let's see. I could transform that right
now
into a downside vertical is the
direction I would go if I did it. But I
think I'm just going to let it go.
Just hopefully book some profits unless
we
continue to fall here.
But I think I'm just going to hold it.
That'll close out at the end of the day.
Uh, I did a hedged iron condor. I forgot
to put it on yesterday.
So, I put it on right at the open
[clears throat] and with this tight
movement was basically sitting under the
iron condor portion. So, I just kind of
scaled out of that. I've got a risk-free
rick. For max profit, I would need about
a 30 per 30 point down move, but not
expecting that. But, I've got a minimum
profit of 655, max of 5655.
I did a BU earnings calendar. BU is
getting slapped around. It's down 13%.
So, that one's in the red. I was
actually when it was down about six or
seven% this morning. I was It was right
on the break even. I didn't do anything
with it. So, now it's now it's red. I'm
just going to hold for now. Uh, Home
Depot. I also did
a a uh neutral earnings calendar
and it hasn't barely moved. So, I closed
half of that at about 20ome percent. I'm
going to hold the other half.
And that's about it for me today.
Noel, you got 30% on your 1DT. Nice.
Yeah, if we get a little I mean a tiny
bounce. Yeah, I'm at 30% right now with
this little bounce. [clears throat]
Excuse me. Grab a drink. Cut something
in my throat here.
Ah, there we go. There we go.
Biggest movers today
on the green side. Ulta is up five and a
half%. Adobee's up four and a half. Lulu
up four.
Netflix is up three. Netflix is was
strong all morning and then it's kind of
leveled off.
Biggest red B. I mentioned SNDK is also
down 10%. Uh SKH Highix is down 10%,
Nebius down eight, MU down eight, Intel
down seven and a half, AMD down five,
MSTR is down almost five.
S&P keeps bouncing off of this
kind of right below pre-market lows.
Like I said though, S&P about a 16point
range all day from top to bottom.
I did just push out some uh
couple new updates on the fluxinator.
If you didn't have a chance to see that
yet, I'll do a quick 90 second overview.
Uh I just added a couple of new
drop-down strategies. Um
instead of just vertical, I I split that
into two. So I put vertical sell and
vertical buy. So if you rightclick below
the current price and you do vertical
sell, that's going to sell a put spread.
If you rightclick below price and say
vertical buy, that's going to buy a put
spread
at the strike that you right click on.
And then same thing to the upside. If
you click above price, that's going to
do the call spreads. If you sell a call
sell vertical, that's going to sell a
call spread.
If you buy, it's going to buy a call
vertical spread.
Then I added the duck,
iron duck. And so what I did is I have
it just defaulted to the set criteria
like I teach in the course. And I I
default it to a 14 DTE.
And you can of course
change the strikes, change the
contracts, change the DTE, whatever you
want.
Uh then the other thing I did was on the
risk graph, you know, before when you
would hover it would show that little
highlighted yellow circle and it would
show the the strike. Added a few things
in this little data box. So it shows the
strike, it shows the delta, shows the
mid price of that strike and it shows
the implied volatility.
Then, of course, if you click and drag,
all of those things update as well.
That's not an actual strike. That's why
it's looking all funky.
An unavailable strike, I should say.
Uh, and then I added a news tab.
So now on the news tab, you've got an
economic calendar.
You've got a
Why is this not updating?
You've got the live news feed from
Financial Juice, or you're supposed to.
It's been working all day. Now all of a
sudden it looks like it's cut off.
But that should be working.
Not sure what's up with that. I don't
know if juice the juice is having some
issues, but anyway, got the live news
feed from Financial Juice. Uh you've got
the top daily movers, so the top 10
uh movers to the upside, top 10 losers.
Then you've got the fear and greed
index. If you don't know what that is,
there's a little drop down arrow that
gives you all the history and details of
what that is.
So those were the updates today.
You know there uh Financial Juice did
have a the ability or they have [snorts]
the the voice deal. I tried it but it it
just didn't work. like you could it
worked from a standpoint of you could
you could click it and turn it on but
then you couldn't turn it off unless you
like closed out the tab and reopened it.
So it was just kind of a it was kind of
a pain. So I just removed it.
Uh it'll be you know I mean
financial ju I tried to get an answer on
this a while back and I never could but
with the actual financial juice um
I'm on the I'm on the paid version. I'm
on the Pro,
but there's also an elite version. And
it says the elite,
which is 99 bucks a quarter.
It says the It says you have to have the
elite to have the real time,
but I get it real time on the Pro, so I
don't I don't know. And I and when I
moved to Pro, I didn't really notice a
difference in the time from the free
version either. So, I don't I don't
really know.
I mean, it I mean, the voice guy says it
pretty immediate.
Yeah, exactly, Joey. Yeah, I think I
think I think it's just
they haven't they haven't done it
correctly or something.
But I don't know why my news feed is now
stalling.
Anyway, I'll have to figure that out
after the bell.
What about you guys? Did you guys do
anything good today?
Any good trades?
Well, pumping out some bicks, some small
elos. Nice.
These premiums are just are so small.
Let's see. My last trunch was which is
at 1:33 p.m. Central 10 wide on a $2
strike,
which is pretty normal in Lovall.
SPX is currently at O.
I bet that Momes is going to get to two
bucks early today. Let's see. Yeah, it's
already at a buck 60.
Yeah, just in time.
midway or whenever I the day that I
started downsizing on my becks is the
day that they took off. [laughter]
[gasps]
They've been great.
Let's see.
I think it was like July 13th is when I
decided to downsize.
Check my stats.
Yeah. So
from July 13th through yesterday,
my bicks are up 26K
and that's doing half size.
So I'd be up 50 50 plus K had I stuck
with the same position size.
just happens. That's trading.
It's like it's a it's one of the few
guarantees of trading. You downsize, you
win. You size up, you lose. Just how it
works.
Did you jump your size back up, Elliot,
or do you you still staying small?
Oh, you did increase it. I gotcha.
Nice.
I have not updated my templates to do
that.
SPX just chopping around 7700.
All right. So
before the open tomorrow, we've got
target if anyone's interested.
Tar
has exceeded the expected move 40% of
the time over the last five years.
The gap up gap down uh at tomorrow's
open. It's gapped up seven of the last
20. Gapped down 13 of the last 20.
has some nice post earnings drift if it
exceeds its expected move either up or
down
over the next seven and 30 days.
Uh, let's see what the old options look
like on target.
Let's see on the three-day options at
the money calls about 20 cents wide on a
$150 stock
about 30 cents wide. Uh 15 to 20. Yeah,
a little bit wider on the put side.
volume in the hundreds and thousands of
on each strike. So,
pretty pretty good liquidity.
I think what I will do, Moel,
is I'm going to do a calendar spread,
but I'm going to
just go slightly bearish since
since you're telling me to go bearish.
The expected move is 11 bucks.
It's currently trading at 153.
I was going to do the 150 strike, but
let's see here.
Oh, they got dollar wide strikes. Okay.
So, let's I'm going to do the
I'll do the 145.
Yeah, I like that.
Oh my go straight up putts.
Straight up long puts.
Threeday 145s.
You're going out of the money. You don't
care about any ball crush.
You're going straight hardcore
bear. I like it.
Try to get filled at a buck 34 on this
calendar.
No fill.
How about a buck 37?
Nibbling partial.
One nibble.
All right, I'll let that sit for a
minute.
What do you mean your post's getting
deleted?
There you go. Filled the rest of them at
a buck 37.
>> [laughter]
[gasps]
>> You're making imaginary post now.
Oh yeah, you did get moderated, Moel.
There's a I got a post in my private mod
thing says attempted to send spam
messages.
Who are you spamming, Moel?
There is a setting where if like
somebody like keeps posting posting like
rapid fire posting
like some people like to say like two
words and then finish their sentence on
eight different lines
and there's like a slow mode setting but
it's off in this chat I just checked.
So, I'm not sure why you got
not not sure why you got flagged. You
must be you must have a reputation.
All right, we got about eight minutes
till
this is a day where you probably don't
want to trade in my homes.
Yeah, exactly. Nor
we have a few of those guys. I got a few
members who like to DM me.
One sentence will be like 18 posts. So,
I have like a little red 18 like, "Oh my
gosh, I'm getting a lot of direct
messages." Oh, it's just one person and
it was two sentences.
It's trying to keep you from revenge
trading on MUL, I think, is what it is.
The 77 butterfly 7700
was trading at a buck 80
minutes to go.
We do have uh
FOMC meeting minutes tomorrow afternoon
which is typically a nothing burger but
with Mr. Worsh new at the helm. Never
know. There could be a surprise.
Surprise come out in the meeting
minutes. That comes out at 100 p.m.
Central tomorrow.
Never fade a superstar, AJ. Never fade a
superstar.
AJ, did you figure out your time fly? Do
you understand what I was saying that
analyze the fills, not the legs that
toss shows? Okay, cool.
Yeah, because if you overlap strikes or
you close some, then toss doesn't
reflect what you've closed. So, you have
to you have to analyze the the actual
filled orders.
All right, 5 minutes till MOC. Let me
turn on the juice.
Trump considering granting Canada tariff
reprieve. Okay,
Trump's starting to soften up to our
Canadian friends. Where's Jan?
Jan's not in here.
Anybody? Any other Canadian friends in
here?
Even the Trump posts couldn't even move
the market today.
The other Redline news event I see on
Financial Juice today, Anthropic PreIPO
credit facility set to exceed $10
billion target.
Anthropic's preIPO credit facility is
expected to surpass its $10 million
target. They put that on there twice for
some reason. Anthropic is asking lead
banks to lend around 1.25 billion each.
Other major participating banks are
being asked to provide about 1 billion
each.
We're going to have a new a new toy to
play with, a new ticker
later this year, couple months.
>> [snorts]
>> SPX
little dip down to 97.
What happened, Mo? Too much tequila the
night before.
Margaritas,
salty margaritas. I like it.
All right, SPX heading towards the
bottom of its 16point range. 1 minute
till MOC. One minute now until we get
the market on close imbalance.
>> [snorts]
>> 10 seconds.
Markets on close imbalance. The S&P 500
a buy side of 376 million. NASDAQ 100 a
buy side of 881 million. Dow 30 a sell
side of just 3 million. MAG 7 a sellside
side of 17 million.
>> Tiny buy side.
My one DTE could use a little bounce
into the close.
It's currently at 33%.
The O butterfly looks like it's trading
for 220 215.
Moel, you're in.
I'm going to get in late. Try to get
three bucks or nothing.
I've got some
looks like some 95 puts,
some 90s
or my closest big puts.
Prefer to keep those intact.
Yeah, you'll see that sometimes. It's
like the uh the strike above
always tends to be a little bit more
pricey. Sometimes even when it's closer
to the strike below,
the price of the fly will be higher on
the upper one. All right, we're below
dipping below 95.
What if we chop in a 16point range all
day and then
drop 35 points to hit the lower expected
move in the last 5 minutes? Could
happen.
Yeah, the 95 is not even trading for two
bucks and we're at sitting at 96 under
96. Six.
There's 94
into the 93s.
hitting new lows of day. Expanding that
range.
17 point range now.
VIX popping up to 15.78.
I'm going to go for 250 on the 95 one
lot.
All right, my 1DTE just closed.
25.7%.
filled at 250 on the 95s.
Rolling with a one lot today, my
friends,
just for fun.
just because Mahomes likes to get in the
game.
SPX sitting at 93.
in the 92s.
VIX is about mid-range while the S&P is
at lows of day.
coming up on the two minute mark
right at right at break even basically
order filled and I just got hit on my 95
bits.
back up to 93.
Keep dancing, Nor. Keep dancing.
Actually, stop dancing. It's not
working. It's going the other way. Back
up to 94. 95.
One minute.
right at 95 with 30 seconds.
96.
Back to 92. It's getting jumpy.
Okay. Okay. 90.
5 seconds.
Stay down a little bit. Oh my goodness.
Auto counter, please.
And it looks like it's going to settle
in for
a scratch.
A one lot scratch. Small winner.
>> Order cancelled.
>> Got a $54.
76.91.97.
Oh yeah, cuz I got filled at 250.
7691.97.
All right, all that is a wrap for the
day. I'll see everybody in the morning
day trading live at the market open back
for power hour. Maybe maybe more
movement tomorrow. We'll see. All right,
have a good day all. Oh, nice nor nice
pin. Take care. Have a good night.
