Video summary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Mahila Swatantrata Diyas, emphasizing that for four decades, the dream of women's reservation has been hindered by political maneuvering rather than genuine progress. Standing before the Red Fort, he issued a direct appeal to all political parties in India to unite behind the cause of empowering women, urging them to honor mothers and sisters by securing 33% representation in legislative bodies like the Assembly and Lok Sabha as soon as possible. He argued that true development cannot be achieved until it reaches every individual at the last level, noting that while only about 25 crore people had social security coverage before 2014, his administration has expanded this reach to nearly 100 crore citizens within a decade through initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, which provides free medicines and financial support even for elderly individuals above seventy years of age. The Prime Minister highlighted the transformative impact of these welfare schemes on millions of families across different economic strata, from poor households to middle-class families, stating that resources previously earmarked for expensive medical operations are now being utilized effectively due to digital interventions like the Ayushman card. He then shifted his focus to a specific request directed at the youth and young people of India, asking them to take leadership roles in strengthening the nation by dedicating just one or two hours to critical tasks such as completing their census registration accurately. He explained that accurate data is not merely about numbers but forms the foundation for creating effective policies and plans that guide the country's future course, warning against errors caused by hurried government representatives who might misspell names or record incorrect details during traditional visits. To ensure precision in this vital demographic exercise, Modi encouraged citizens to utilize modern technology by filling out their census information digitally via mobile phones rather than relying solely on visiting officials later. He advised families to sit together, review the forms carefully on paper first to correct any spelling mistakes or factual errors before uploading them electronically, stressing that high-quality data will directly contribute to national progress and ensure time and energy are utilized for right work. By urging young people to actively participate in this process with their family members, he aimed to create an environment where every household contributes accurate information, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of governance and planning efforts across the nation. Concluding his address at the Red Fort, Modi reflected on the concept of Panch Pran or five vital forces that have provided India with immense strength to move forward toward self-respect and goal achievement. He framed this call for unity among political parties regarding women's reservation as part of a broader vision where every citizen plays an active role in building a developed nation. His speech served as both a reminder of the government's achievements in expanding social security coverage and a passionate plea for continued collaboration between citizens, particularly the youth, to ensure that no detail is overlooked in shaping India's future through accurate data collection and inclusive political representation.
