tonight. What was your assessment of
that game?
>> Yeah, frustrating.
Um
It's not something
you know, the group's used to,
especially um dropping points at home.
You know, you know what we'll
We want to make this place our place to
come and uh
I think tonight the two goals we gave
away were were were simple goals. It's
not like us and
but listen, you know, we we're a good
group. We've seen that last season. We
always find a way to bounce back and and
that'll be the case on Saturday.
>> Is it even tougher to take especially
considering especially the second half
performance where we were the team
really on the front foot and when you
compare it to Saturday as well, two very
different performances as well?
>> Yeah, yeah, I think, you know, Saturday
was
you know, just one of a
a one-off game. I think, you know, we
all knew that after the game. It wasn't
um a usual performance from ourselves
and we wanted to to put that right
tonight and think like I said for large
large parts of that game, you know, we
were we were the team that like like our
old selves and and on the front foot and
and putting it on them, but you know,
both boxes at the minute, it's it's one
of those, but listen, like I said, I
I understand the frustrations cuz, you
know, since my time at the club, it's
not often uh we drop points at home and
we're all frustrated now, but like I
said, you know, we'll be in tomorrow and
be ready to go and put it right
Saturday.
>> You touched on your time here. During
that time as well, the groups prided
themselves upon their responses to
setbacks like this. Is that something
you expect again to happen really
quickly?
>> Yeah, I think, you know, like I said,
it's you know, it's from the manager,
it's from the players
and obviously the the fans were a big
reason for that, especially at home as
well and you know, I I hope they, you
know, understand that that they're a big
part of why we are successful at home
and I know they'll be there Saturday,
you know, with us, so and then we've got
to we've just got to make sure we do the
business on the pitch and and that's
what we'll be aiming for 100%.
>> You've been a captain before, but this
is a a first experience for you at at
Bradford City. I suppose a a new
challenge that you're hungry to to take
on fully as well.
>> Yeah, like I said, you know, start of
season was
we're on a high, you know, we're
unbeaten, not conceded, and then, you
know, in two games in quick succession,
it's it's it's two defeats, so it's it's
taken um emotions from both of them, but
you know, like I said, there's it's not
just myself, there's a there's a lot of
leaders in that dressing room, and we
we've all said our piece after the game,
and and like I said, we'll be we're
ready to bounce back Saturday.
>> Results aside, we saw a great following
to Plymouth at the weekend, and 18,000
tonight, obviously Burnley last week.
How much do you appreciate their
support, and want their backing again
this weekend?
>> Yeah, they I
I say it all the time, you know,
they're an unbelievable fan base, and
and rightly to have frustrations at the
end um
but like I said, you know, they've
they've been with us, especially in my
my time here
um
every home game, every away game,
they're always with us, and even through
the defeats, I know there's frustration,
but they're they're always at the next
game ready to
to get to back us to get a win, and like
I said, you know, Saturday we'll be
we'll make sure we put that right, and
and hopefully we can get three points.
>> On a final note, the games are coming
thick and fast. Does that provide the
opportunity for when setbacks like this
happen to to respond quickly?
>> Yeah, I think we're we're we're all
ready to go Saturday, you know.
Like I said, for large parts of that
game tonight, you know, we were we were
we were like our usual selves, and
I just like I said, there's just um both
boxes were a bit disappointing tonight,
but we all know that, you know, there's
there's nothing
like different in that changing room
that we we all know what the the problem
was tonight, and listen, like I said,
we'll be in tomorrow, it's a good group,
we're all ready to go again Saturday.
