Patrick Ta Is At It AGAIN? π for once im NOT bored here....SHOP OR DROP?!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video features beauty influencer Patrick Ta reviewing a curated list of upcoming makeup launches to determine whether he will purchase them or skip them entirely. He begins by expressing genuine excitement for the current wave of new products, noting that many brands seem to be waking up from their summer slumber as fall collections approach. His primary goal is to spark conversation among viewers regarding these items, particularly those under scrutiny like Patrick Ta's own sculpting sticks, which he defends against accusations of copying trends by highlighting existing similar products in the market before ultimately deciding to shop for them due to his trust in the brand's recent quality improvements.
Moving through various categories from affordable drugstore brands to high-end luxury goods, the creator shares mixed but generally optimistic reactions. He shows particular enthusiasm for Makeup by Mario's new shimmery cream eyeshadows following the success of their matte version and Tower 28's upcoming foundation inspired by their popular concealer, though he remains cautious about potential wear issues with base products from that brand. Conversely, while intrigued by innovative concepts like a long-lasting color corrector stain from One Size, he decides to drop it as it does not align with his daily routine needs. His stance on luxury items is often more reserved; for instance, despite loving YSL's powder blushes, the new cream version receives a "drop" verdict due to packaging concerns and price, while Shanta Kai products are deemed too expensive at full retail value even if their formulas are excellent.
The review concludes with an in-depth look at Dior's extensive fall 2026 limited edition collection, where Patrick Ta maintains his principle of not buying luxury limited editions despite the attractive aesthetics like new velvet pouches and embossed packaging. He admits that while he would buy specific standout items like blushes if they were available locally without a waitlist, the overall collection is marked as a drop for him to avoid supporting inconsistent quality often found in such lines. Ultimately, the video ends on a high note of anticipation for the upcoming holiday season launches, with the creator promising many orders soon and encouraging viewers to share their own thoughts on these diverse new releases in the comments section.

It's human nature. I know we love a
little spiciness when it comes to these
shopper drops. When it comes to these
brands charging a lot of money for
things that, you know, doesn't cost a
lot of money for them to make. I don't
know that there's going to be a lot of
that today because there are so many
interesting new launches and I am
really, really excited. A lot of times
with these shopper drops, I'm like,
but um I'm really excited and intrigued
by a lot of these. So, as somebody who
loves shopping for makeup, loves all
things beauty, oh my gosh, I feel like
these brands are waking up and coming
back from their summer vacations because
I'm excited. I mean, I know it's only
August, but fall launches are going to
start coming out soon, and I can tell.
So, let's get into it. This is my
shopper drop. I don't own any of these
items yet, but I'm going to be telling
you whether or not I will be shopping
them or dropping them from my shopping
list. As always, the point of this is to
get a conversation going in the
comments. I would love to see your
thoughts on these products. And if you
have any questions or want to see me
cover any of these products
specifically, here's a chance for your
voice to be heard. So, let's get a
conversation going and let's get
started. Starting off, most of the
images I'm getting are from Treadmood 1.
So, the first thing that we have, which
is one of the most controversial of
today's video, are the new Patrick Ta
Sculpt Shape Anywhere Artistry Sticks.
Now, what I was seeing a lot of is,
aren't these just free framing Kim's
contour sticks? And listen, Patrick Ta
is a brand that is definitely under the
public eye a lot. It gets a lot of
scrutiny for the products. Well
deserved, welld deserved. Uh but
typically when it comes to his launches
right now there's a lot of negativity
revolving this and what I was seeing was
that he's copying another unoriginal
launch but I don't really think so. I
mean he is definitely capitalizing on
another trend yet again. But you know I
saw people saying Victoria Beckham he's
copying her. She was one of the first to
popularize this. But these sticks have
been around for a while. Morphey's had
one for a while. I just saw KJH just
launched one on Sephora. We have another
stick coming out following this that I
will share with you. What else? Kim KW
back in the day also did it. So, these
sticks have been around, but it's just
because it's him, which like I fully
understand. But anyways, the product
itself, this is definitely a shock for
me. I do like these skinny little
contour sticks. And this one also has
like brightening shades and stuff. So,
I'm excited about this. This is actually
available right now. So, if you want to
shop it, I will have the link down below
for this. But, I am excited for these. I
think, you know, Patrick quality can be
hit or miss lately. I feel like they've
been a big big hit. So, if this is
following trend of how his products have
been recently, this should be pretty
good. And since he's a makeup artist, I
would expect the shades here to be
really good. I'm excited about this
product. It's not the first of its kind,
but I feel like I have a I feel like I
have a good feeling. I have a good
feeling about these. So, we'll see. I
haven't even watched any reviews on this
yet. I still need to place my orders on
on these. I'm about to after I finish
filming this, but yeah, this will be a
shop. I'm definitely curious. But
Morphe, by the way, is really good and
very affordable. And Morphe is just like
the best affordable brand this year.
Morphe and Essence, they've been killing
it. Next one. I just thought this one
was intriguing. It's different. It's
another stick, but this is from one size
and it's the ultimate color corrector
stain. I believe this one is available
right now. It just launched. And I mean,
I'm not a huge fan of color correctors,
but this is interesting because it's
supposed to be a stain. It's supposed to
offer longlasting coverage you can rely
on to neutralize the appearance of
discoloration. You know, you have the
green, you have the orange, you have the
peach, you have the pink. And I do think
in certain scenarios that a color
corrector is useful. It's not something
that I use on the daily, but I do find
using something light and pink on my
under eye and or salmon, it really does
help with the purple that I've been
having a lot lately because hello, sleep
regression. Thank my daughter for that.
So, I know some people love color
correctors, and if you're oily, this
sounds really interesting because it is
a stain. It's not a product for me in
particular. I maybe could get on poor on
board with the baby pink shade, but it's
not a product for me. So, I'm going to
say drop, but I'm absolutely intrigued
by this because it is a stain and I
think that's pretty innovative, but
still very trendy. And One Size has been
doing that a lot with their products. I
They're doing a great job. They're truly
truly killing it. So, I'm excited. And
like you could probably use some of
these shades as blush if you want.
Really interesting launch. So, I'm
excited about this one for people that
it would make sense for. One of the
products that I am most excited about in
today's video, Makeup by Mario is
launching the Master Shimmery
Longwearing Cream Eyeshadows. These are
going to be $25 each and they are
available now. This is an absolute shock
for me because the matte version of
these was absolutely incredible. They
applied themselves. They I think made
liquid eyeshadows seem less scary
because they just looked and applied
like a powder eyeshadow, but they
lasted. Baby, if you have oily eyelids,
this is going to be amazing for you.
Now, I can't speak for the new shimmery
finishes. I do love the matte finishes,
but shimmery is a whole new game. And
since the matte was so good, I'm really
looking forward to these, but I am a
little nervous. Like, I hope these have
enough glow and shimmer, baby, for me. I
do. So, this is a shock for me. I'm
definitely planning on picking up a
couple of shades. I'm excited about
them. It's a product where I have a lot
of faith in because the original matte
version is so good. So, I'm hoping the
shimmer version is really good. So, we
will see. I don't know. There is a
potential for this not to be good
because when it comes to like cream and
liquid shimmer products, sometimes they
emphasize like fine lines and stuff on
the eyelids and just aren't that great.
I think matte sometimes is easier to
create when it comes to these cream or
liquid formulations,
but I'm absolutely interested and
excited. I It sounds like to me pink
pearl would be the one for me. I don't
really like deep shades too often
nowadays. Sorry, I know. So boring, but
I'm really excited about these. This is
one of the products that I've been
looking forward to talk about. Tower 28
has a new foundation coming out. This is
their Swipe Serum Medium buildable
coverage foundation. It looks like it's
going to be a play on their iconic Swipe
Concealer. And if it's anything like
that, I fully expect this foundation to
be nothing short of amazing. It will be
$36. It's not quite yet available. I
think this launches later in the month,
but if it is anything like the concealer
that it is playing off of, my
expectations for this are very high.
Now, my problem with base products from
Tower 28 in the past is I haven't loved
how they've worn. I felt like they got
heavier on my skin throughout the day.
So, I'm hoping that won't be the case
with this. But, I will be the guinea pig
and I will try it out for you. So, I'm
just excited because the Tower 28
concealer version of this is one of my
all-time favorite concealers. So, we're
optimistic here. This absolutely is a
shot for me. It looks like it's supposed
to not cause acne at all, which is
something that definitely piques my
interest. Lately, foundations have not
been breaking me out, but there was once
a time where they did. So, I think that
that is fabulous news. So, we will see.
But this looks like the concealer in
foundation form to me. the way that it's
making her skin glow, how smooth it's
looking. So, again, a product I'm very,
very optimistic for and am excited about
and will be reviewing. So, shop for sure
on this. Okay, we're moving on more into
the luxury products. And I did see this
on Trendmood. I don't know you guys. So,
I don't know the business deal of
things, but it looks like there's this
face palette with color correcting
powder,
maybe blushes
from Charlotte Tilbury. But here's the
thing, there is like Charlotte Tilbury
in Asia, I feel like, is different than
Charlotte Tilbury in the US. There have
been products that launched from
Charlotte Tilbury in Asia that have not
come to the US. And why do I feel like
that's the case for this? This looks
very Asian and not for the US market. I
mean, look how light these shades are.
So that's why I don't know. I'm being
cautious here. I'm intrigued. This isn't
really a product that I'm super into.
Like it doesn't look like something I
would love. But if it is the classic
Charlotte airbrush powder,
then I mean I could see a use for this.
But this just doesn't seem for the US
markets, right? If it does become
available, it will be a shot for me just
because this is an interesting new
format for Charlotte Tilbury. So, the
makeup reviewer in me needs to try this.
But I don't know if it's actually going
to come to the US. This doesn't seem
like a very American kind of product.
And even,
you see what I mean? And there's been
plenty that has launched in Asia that
has not launched in the US. Looks like
there's a new color here. But if you
know like the business side of things,
let me know how they're related or how
they are unrelated. But it would be a
shock for me. But I don't know, you
guys. Now, you guys know that the YSL
Make Me Blush powder blushes are one of
my all-time favorite luxury blushes.
It's been my favorite blush formula of
the last couple of years. It just goes
on so smooth. And they've just launched
a cream version, which is now available.
I will have that linked down below. And
they look really nice. I mean, they
don't look as nice as the powders to me.
I like that top left shade over there.
Hot mauve, the very top shade. Toffee
temptation could be really cool. I mean,
they have the same shades.
I'm intrigued. I will shop one. I
definitely plan on purchasing one just
as a fan of the original powder
formulation. I don't know. I don't like
the packaging. I don't like that latex
looking kind of style packaging if I'm
being honest here. even though it is the
same. Sorry. Even though it is the same.
But yeah, I'm going to be shopping for
this more so for curiosity. I think if I
didn't do what I did for a living, it
might be a drop. I haven't watched
enough reviews, so I don't know, but I
will be shopping for it. We also have a
new collection from Shanta Kai. This is
the lying collection. I did get this in
PR. I don't know that I would have
purchased it, though. The eye shadows
are very tempting. Now the reason being
I love Shantaai products. I do not love
the price of Shantaai products. And the
only time I buy from Shantaai personally
is when they have their sales. Like
recently they had 25% off for their
friends and family sale. Like that is
when Shantaai will be purchased for me.
But I'm not paying full price for this
stuff because their stuff is very very
expensive. But they do have really
amazing products. So I'm really grateful
that I can get them in PR. These look
beautiful. I love this eyeshadow formula
from Shantaai. They are beautiful one
and done shadows and these are right up
my alley color-wise. I definitely will
share my thoughts with you and swatch
swatches and all of that. There's also a
couple lippies. Again, like not worth it
full price, but really a gorgeous
formula. We have a lip liner which looks
a little deep for my preferences. Now,
the blush, I hate the rinky dinky
packaging of these, but I love the
formula that is inside. Again, super
duper expensive, not worth it full
price, but if you can get discount,
absolutely beautiful. So, I will be
sharing my thoughts for this. And I
mean, I'm so thankful to Shanta Kai for
sending me their stuff because honestly,
every single time I do say their
products are not worth their full price,
and I rag on their price point, but I do
love their products, so I am extremely
grateful and I do recommend them, but
wait for a sale, you guys. Anyways, it
would be a drop. It would be a drop, but
there definitely are products that
intrigue me. I have not talked about an
RMS beauty drop in like years, but this
is the most attractive thing they've
launched in years. This is the
Redimension Diggly Glow Palette, which
is available on their website right now.
Now, here's the thing. It is a
highlighter palette you can also use as
eyehadow. It's giving Dior backstage
glow face palette, is it not? It looks
really beautiful. This formula from RMS
is beautiful, particularly in blush
form. So, I'd imagine that the highlight
form of this is also beautiful. I mean,
it looks like date night can be like a
blush or a blush topper situation. Looks
absolutely gorgeous. It's the first time
I've double took at an item from RMS
Beauty, but unfortunately, it will still
be a drop for me because I already have
the Dior. I have no need for this. But
it's really beautiful. And I mean,
congratulations to them because I
haven't seen so much excitement for a
product from the brand in a while and
and it does look gorgeous and these
powders are beautiful. So, I am sure
that this is going to be a beautiful
launch. I need to get my game up with
Westminatilier because they've been
launching some beautiful products that I
have not been keeping up with. And this
one looks really exciting. This is the
new Westminatilier Bio Complex Liquid
Foundation.
I just Here's the thing with West
Mentalier. I did not love their
foundation stick. I definitely thought
it was overpriced. This is going to be a
$69 foundation. Um, it might be
available by the time that you're
watching this August 11th. Weightless
medium coverage, natural hydrated
finish, blurs pores, refineses texture.
I mean, all of that just sounds like
exactly what I would like, but a lot of
brands are just using these as buzzwords
because that's what they are. They're
buzzwords. But Westminatilier has been
launching some beautiful products
lately. So, I'm I'm definitely willing
to give them a second chance when it
comes to complexion. So, this will be a
shot for me. Let me be the guinea pig
once again because Westmin $69. $69.
Okay, hold off for the reviews. Don't
buy this blindly, but I absolutely am
intrigued. And when I order this, I
probably will pick up another
Westminatilier thing or two. We will
see. Uh, but it sounds great, but is
that too good to be true? I did talk
about this on my stories. So, I'm going
to be quick with this one, but I just
wanted to let you know, whoops, that
Summer Fridays just launched a new body
care line. Quick little review. This
would have been a drop for me. Drop, but
I did get these in PR and I'm going to
tell you my thoughts because these are
new. They are available. Uh, the best
smelling shade by far is the pistachio.
The pistachio is good. The butter balm
is okay. It doesn't blend in as nicely
as I would like for it to on the skin,
but it does feel lightweight and it
doesn't feel too sticky. So, it's an
okay body balm. The pink guava shade
scent. It smells nice. The vanilla is
not my favorite vanilla. It's not a bad
vanilla, but the pistachio to me is the
absolute best scent from this
collection. The spray is nice and soft.
Overall, this collection doesn't smell
too strong. So if you're sensitive to
that, I think this is a good option for
you. It is a okay body care launch. Like
I will enjoy these, but I don't know
that I would have run out the door for
this quality. So that's my two cents on
that launch. I am heading over to Amit
Beauty Talk who posts kind of the in
between of what Trend Mood one doesn't
post, particularly when it comes to
luxury. She is my go-to for luxury
beauty launches. So we have a few
launches from Dior. What is up and
coming are going to be two new lip lines
from Dior. So, we have the OnStage Ink
Blur Mattes and then we also have the
Onstage Mattes. I'm not sure which is
which. I don't know. It looks like this
is like some sort of liquid lipstick.
And then we have like that matte
blurring balm situation which that shade
110 and 215. I'm very attracted to
those. So, we will see. I mean, these
are
eh products. They look like more
permanent range products. So, these
would be a drop for me, but I can see
myself like in store picking up a shade
or two, but I'm not running out to pick
these up. Something that I will be
adding to my next order will be the new
Forever Onset loose powder. You know how
I feel about Dior Beauty. I think their
products are absolutely gorgeous,
especially when it comes to their
permanent range. And I'm not running out
to get this, but I will get this
eventually. So, this is definitely a
tentative shop for the future, not for
right now. I'm very picky about my
powders, but I think if a brand can do
it well, I think it would be Dior. I
would hope it would be, and you know, I
love just the aesthetic of their
packaging. So, um I'm interested. This
has five shades, invisible blurring
matte finish. Yeah. And I checked the
website. It is available now. So, I'm
interested, but I'm not running to get
it. The most interesting thing that Dior
has launched is their new Lucky Clover
collection for fall 2026. And I saw some
things are already selling out, you
guys. So, I'll have the link down below
if you want to check that out. These
limited edition collections have been
selling like hot cakes lately. I
remember when I used to review the Dior
limited edition collections, I could not
get anybody interested in it. I was the
only one interested in it. I felt like
their LE launches, but now they're g
gaining traction. People are excited
about them. But from what I've learned
from the past, their limited edition
collections are very inconsistent in
quality. So, that is why I stopped
covering them. But, I've got to admit,
these are quite attractive. The
eyeshadow palettes, first of all,
instead of the stupid velvet pouches
that they normally come in, look at what
they're coming in this time. And this is
confirmed. It's on the DR website. That
pink pouch is adorable. I don't love
this color story quite as much, but the
pouch it comes in, the green, it was
sold out last I checked, but these look
like they have potential to be nice.
These look like a nice formula. I
haven't tried it yet, and I don't know
that I will. Honestly, this collection
is a drop for me just by principle
because these might be good. But I've
told you multiple times I'm done buying
from Dior limited edition collection.
But it's a really hard stance to stand
on sometimes because I've been coming
out with really cute stuff like this.
I'm holding strong. Um, okay. That makes
me feel better. Those swatches look
sheer. There's also these two beautiful
blushes. That one on the left I believe
is sold out. But can you see why it
looked stunning? Like I do love me a
Dior blush and I won't turn down a
limited edition Dior blush. I I treasure
mine. Get me at a counter, I'll buy
these.
But right now, while we're at a
distance, I'm holding strong. I like
that. Too peachy. And then they also
have the Dior Addict lipstick in this
limited edition packaging.
Very cute, very luxe. A great gift for
yourself. These are the two shades.
They're kind of meh. So, these ones
would definitely be a drop for me. I
mean, the top one, of course, I'm sure
is beautiful. It's just like a pretty
nude. But that's not what excites me
about this collection. Nor are their
rouge lipsticks here. But they do have
the beautiful Clover embossments.
Uh I don't like these shades actually. I
like the ones better with the LE
packaging. And then there's a pretty
shimmery eyeliner, which I guess I saw
was sold online. Sold out online. Like I
wouldn't even buy this. I don't know
what I would do with this shade. It is
pretty. But as an eyeliner, I'm not
lining my eyes with this. So, that one
would be an easy pass. Two nail
polishes. I only saw the Clover shade,
which is very, very pretty. But, do you
want to spend that much on a on a nail
polish? Yeah, that's it. I believe
that's the whole collection. I will have
that all linked down below. I've already
shared it on my socials, but beautiful
collection.
I'm going to say drop, but if you ever
if you ever see me using any of these, I
don't want to hear it. Anyways, those
are all of the new launches that I was
very, very excited to talk about.
Remember, I want to hear your thoughts
in the comments. Those were mine. This
was a very positive one because like I
can feel the energy of the makeup
launches, okay? And I am liking it. I
know it's only August, but my favorite
makeup season is approaching the holiday
makeup season, which isn't during the
holidays. It's during fall, early part
of fall. Starting next month, actually,
we're going to start getting the holiday
launches. So, prepare yourselves for
that. But, like, I can tell we're
turnurning our way up there because
these are exciting. So, um, my Sephora
account's going to have a lot of orders
placed, but I'm really, really excited.
So, thank you guys for just makeup
shopping with me. I hope you guys
enjoyed this video and found it
entertaining. Make sure you comment on
other people's comments. Let's get those
conversation starters going, and I'll
see you guys in the next one. Bye, guys.
Have a good one.
