Our FIRST Meta Has Arrived!?

Hey guys, it's Nate aka the foot accountant. Welcome back to the channel. It's the early stages of a new Ultimate Team. Everybody's trying to figure out how this game works, what's good, what's not good, and of course, what is meta. Yesterday, some hype was arising online. And of course, some player prices were rising as well as a specific type of card or a specific play style was getting hyped as a very meta play style in FC27. But is it actually OP or was it just a pump and dump? We're going to take a look at that and talk about some things gameplay related today. But of course guys, we have to still discuss the number one thing that is being talked about in this game and that is the foot gallery which everybody is buying and selling cards for to go and get tokens so they can redeem those hall of foot cards in the token store. Ooh, day three of the daily login is here as well. We'll take 1,000 SP from that. That's a part of the content that dropped either yesterday or it will drop for you today depending on when you logged on to the game. But speaking of today, guys, we've got squad battle rewards, the first reward set that we can all get inside of FC27. I got to play one more game so I can get back up into gold 3. How is this going to impact the market? We are going to discuss that today and look forward to what could be releasing today as a part of Sunday's content. And let's dive right in by looking back at yesterday's content on Saturday where we had another ones to watch SBC. And it is yet again the new streamlined SBC system. Only 20,000 score for a player pick between Mora and Gonalves. The two Syria center attacking mid type players right here. Pedro Gonzalez, a bunch of play styles. Rodrigo Mora, a very solid card. But again, it's only 20,000 score to get this done. And you can use a lot of lower rated players as you can see here. I can use a whole bunch of silvers, probably some golds as well to get this one done for my club. Or I can sort from high to low, and I could use a couple of high rated cards. I love this little uh mechanism on foot here inside of the SPC's that are under the streamlined SBC, the new SBC system. You can go in here and say, "I want to turn in four players to this." And it'll tell you what players that you have to buy to get it done. You can get this SBC done with an 88 and 87 and 86 and an 85 rated card. I believe the price of this SBC is coming in somewhere around, yes, 16,000 coins depending upon how you go ahead and do this. It's just really cool to have so many options to do an SBC. That That's the thing that like we're still wrapping our minds around this for sure. And like I posted in yesterday's video, that clip from Footbin showing that they turned in four cards to complete the Batti SBC, you could do the exact same thing again today. And this got me thinking a little bit more like we're going to really have to look at FOD investing and even investing in like higher rated cards that have really high SBC scores for SBC's later on down the line. Like imagine a player of the month and BPI comes out and one of the easiest ways to get it done quickly is to buy like a 300,000 coin icon off the market. Instead of buying a whole bunch of players to complete a whole bunch of squads like you would have to do in the past with the old SBC system, you might be able to buy a card for like 200k and get a third or a fourth of that SBC done that is like a big SBC like a player of the month inbape. So that's one thing that I'm kind of interested to see how it kind of plays out as we go throughout the year with this new SBC system. So that's just something on my market mind there. Now to the rest of content yesterday we go where we had our first paid evolutions of the year and they're cosmetic evos. We've got the retro ones to watch Evos here for FIFA 18, 19, and 20. And I mean these are great card designs. Definitely nostalgic for me. One thing I saw on social media though was people that putting these retro designs on the Hall of Foot players that they got from the gallery token store. And the reason that they were doing this is to hopefully allow these cards to fit into EVOs in the future if EA were to exclude them. I think the worry from this is stemming back to last year where the World Tour silver superstar icons were not allowed to fit into EVOs. I don't think EA is going to restrict us from using Hall of Foot cards and EVOs inside of FC27 because these cards are starting off again at 84 or 85 rated and they're not 70 rated like those silver icons were. So, I don't personally think that that is something you need to do. Would EA restrict this? Maybe in the future, possibly. So, if you're really scared about that, you could put a cosmetic evo on one of those cards that you're getting through the gallery token store right now. But, I wouldn't be super duper worried about it. But those are nice to have there. Also, yesterday, a very small thing to mention in objectives, we did have the FC Pro open ladder that was dropped for a ball, a path to pro badge there for those who are in the higher ranks of this game. As I mentioned, I claimed that three day three 1,000 uh season pass points. That's going to be in your unassigned either it was yesterday or it will be today when you log into the game as well. And last but not least, we have to talk about what was impacting things via the market. We had a new pack dropped in the store yesterday, but it was untradable. But what they did also was they increased and refreshed the tradable 25k pack that they dropped on Friday. So instead of five times, you can now open it eight times. And I think those people who opened it on Friday, they now have eight of them there. So that did actually bring a bit more tradable supply to the market. And that's why you saw actually a great opportunity to trade an hour after the content drop. Once again, guys, this is one thing I want you guys to look out for. Whenever upgrade packs, or not upgrades, but store packs refresh on any given day, an hour after content is going to be an amazing time to get on bids for anything. A card like this, so right, he dropped a whole bunch yesterday. You could have still got on bids and made some good money on him and got him for really low prices. But, you know, I'm talking about lower budget cards, too. Cards that are like 3 or 4 thousand coins like a Bali or a Fong who are still going for a couple thousand coins. These guys won't be for forever, but you could probably get these cards on bids since there's a whole bunch of supply. That's just a really, really good trading method. Whenever there is tradable supply, get on bids. The same thing is going to work very well today on Sunday with the squad battle rewards. Now, yesterday, what I did, since I didn't think the gold cards were going to move that much in value, we said that in yesterday's video, and it did kind of come true. Instead of looking at gold cards for trades like we were the first couple of days, I went to more of the rare cards, informs, icons, heroes, or where I was looking yesterday on the market, and there were some good fluctuations. I bought this Luis El Matador Hernandez for 150,000 coins. He was 200k yesterday before the content drop selling there. I saw him come down to 150k. I was like, I'm scooping that. And I listed him up at 195. I sniped a kishma at 250, sold him at 300. I also bought a extinct honus card. He's max price 300. Somebody listed him up at 250 because again, there was some packs applied from those store packs that were opened. I'm going to plan on holding this card until EA do update his price range, which hopefully he'll be selling for like 4 to 500K, probably more like 400k if we're being honest, just because he looks really, really meta. I'm gonna try him out in the meantime. He's got quick step plus and 93 pace with 87 dribbling. And uh yeah, he's got rapid and quick step base, so he's gonna be really really good with low driven plus as well. But that's kind of where I was trading yesterday and I still am trading right now is with these more rare cards. Ooh, little bit low on the Harry Q here. I sold him for 280 yesterday and he's back down now to under 300,000 coins. But I think that's a bit of a safer place to uh trade right now on the market. I wouldn't say you need to sell cards. I wouldn't say you need to panic today. We'll talk a little bit more about the market in just a second. But guys, we have to discuss the gallery once again. I guess this does actually involve the market as well because right now what actually might be hurting the market a little bit is people going out and losing coins because they're buying players to fill out these squads to get the tokens. And especially for some of the more expensive cards, guys. We have people right now that are buying and selling icons that are like 900,000 coins per this tweet here uh from Rick on Twitter. One of the best ways to get a really high amount of tokens all in one go is to buy five different icons. And a couple of them are like 900k because they're the holographic icons, right? And that way you can get an S tier grade on this set which gives you 175 total gallery tokens. That is so many tokens. But a lot of those players like here's Prince autograph card, right? Holographic card. She was 700k yesterday. She's now 900,000 even went over a million coins. People are buying that card and then listing it straight back up on the market to sell it to get that card in their gallery and get the progress there. Now you have to have a lot of coins to do that. I I think I have enough coins now. I could do that, but I don't really want to do that. I would rather go through some of these other teams in here and buy cards this way. Like at the moment, I'm working on a couple of La Liga teams like Deportiva Alves, buying 15 of those cards, filling out that one, and getting a few tokens for that. Not getting anything super crazy, but those cards are still going up in price as well. This is a good place to trade as everybody is buying and selling these cards right now throughout the weekend because they have time to do so. And again, the rewards are good. Like, it makes it feasible. It's a grind, but now that people are understanding it and kind of figuring out how this can work, like it makes it something that you want to grind because these cards are in such high demand, whether it's Hulk or Pau or David Luiz or for me, I think I'm going to have to switch my formation and go to a three center mid formation because I got to get Guaren. I mean, is he the best choice with 400 tokens? I don't know. Blanchowski looks sick as well. Pace is so important in this game as we're going to talk about that card. Mr. Walcott, a lot of people are taking this card and I'm sure he is absolutely cracked. Like he looks insane with finesse and low driven and the 96 pace, rapid plus, quick step, and first touch base. He looks insane and he's explosive as well. So, it's going to be super duper rapid fast. I'm going to have to figure it out when I do get enough tokens or maybe I'll have to get enough tokens to take two cards from there. But that is literally just taking over this game still at the moment. It is impacting the market so much and it's impacting of course it's what everybody wants to do when they're on this game, buying and selling those players. Now, I kind of just mentioned the meta a little bit and that's where I want to go next in this video. There was a bunch of news online yesterday about PowersShot Plus cards. Now, I don't know if you guys saw this or not, uh, but PowersShot is the new meta in FC27. Is what this tweet reads here. And yeah, power shots are pretty good. Power shots were good at the end of FC26. I've always loved a good long shot, a good power shot. I'm always testing these. Um, one of my first games in division rivals. I scored a couple of banger power shots with Domos and even Donaniel Malin, who doesn't even have the power shot play style. However, is this truly a meta thing in the game? Or are power shots just good, but not super duper overpowered? Not a lot of people even know how to do a power shot. Technically, you have to do R1, L1, and shoot at the same time, it gives you that slower buildup animation, and you need power shot or power shot plus to make that animation go faster. But with this kind of buildup yesterday, which guys, it almost feels like a pump and dump. I'm going to be honest, power shots may be good and they may be like pretty good in game, but are they glitched? The wording glitch here is kind of crazy to be completely honest. Five exploding head bombas emojis. I I think that's a bit far-fetched. I would not call it a glitch, but alas, whether it was just a pump and dump or it actually is pretty good in game, there was a lot of traction that was created or surrounding PowerShot Plus cards yesterday. Valverde went from 370K up to 450,000 coins. Khloe Kelly, who I used as a loan card, and she was really, really good from 21,000 coins all the way to 47K. The reason why this has got so much hype right now and so many people are talking about this is because everybody wants to find out the meta at the beginning of a new Ultimate Team. Where we are right now, we're all still figuring out the game. Sure, we're noticing things that work. We're noticing things that don't work. And you know, there's just so much of a importance there, it seems. Or maybe it's a race to find what the meta is because people want to succeed so bad on this game. I mean, I'm sure there's going to be a meta that's found at some point, but I'm enjoying this early state of the game right now where there's not a meta or there's not a, oh, this is what you have to do. This is not the staple of what FC27 is in terms of what the most overpowered thing to do is. We're kind of all still figuring out and I think there's something that is nice about that and special about that and actually makes me enjoy the gameplay a little bit more. Now, a couple thoughts around gameplay myself. Pace is crucial this year. I have a 93 paced Alyssa Thompson. And again, take these opinions with a pinch of salt because bro is a 910 if I'm lucky 11 win gamer in foot champs. But from playing this game now for five days, pace is so crucial. This explosive 93 pace Thompson can outrun center backs. I can't remember the last time a pace stat mattered as much as it does now because like you can actually outrun defenders with fast cards and it's incredible. I'm liking that. Right. Pace is very very crucial. I think jockey in defense is a must. The bruiser play style is not as meta or as much of a must as it was before. Like you I remember that first clip of the first day that I played this game. I had Bremer in a draft and he had bruiser plus and it was very crazy the animation that he got. So, Bruiser Plus is probably still pretty good, but it is not the same Bruiser that it was last year. I think Intercept is still very good, but I think Jockey is so good. And that's why I have not got rid of this Conrad Lyr card because he has jockey plus and he's a very, very good card. And guys, I have to get better at passing. Like, my goodness, I think that I'll see an opening and I think that I'll be able to play a pass through even with a card like this Risa who's got four passing play styles in one play style. Plus, I can't get the pass through because of the way manual defending has been buffed. And if a player is controlling that card, it is in the way of me making the pass. There's no way that pass is getting through. So, I am enjoying this early game. Is power shot plus the meta? It's good. I mean, I've done a lot of them. You guys have watched me in the stream do some power shots with some certain players as well, like so. They are good, but are they super crazy meta and warrant a huge price spike like this and warrant you going out in the market and buying those cards? I don't think so. go and try a game or two if you want to, but I don't think that is the case. Now, speaking of gameplay, our rewards from game play over the weekend happened today. This is the first reward set of FC27 technically today with Squad Battles. We're start off our Sunday conversation here, which by the way, I heard this yesterday for the first time. I think this has been talked about now for a couple days, but I just heard it for the first time and like kind of understood it as serious myself. There's some sort of squad battles glitch where you can turn off offsides. Yeah, that's actually a pretty legit I would call that a glitch, right? You go into your game settings right before you go into the match and you can turn off offsides. You can turn off hand balls. Bookings can be off. Very lenient for refereeing. And then you can just have your attacker run in behind the defense and you can play a long ball over the top or a through ball and you will not be called for off sides. Now, warning, I did try this and uh same thing works for your opponent because I actually conceded a couple of goals where the AI passed it to an offside player and scored some goals and I was like, "Okay, yep, it does work both ways." So, I don't think that is supposed to be there. I think that is a mistake from EA. I think they will probably have to fix something surround that, but that is happening right now. When you go into squad battles, that is there. Is that like a banable offense? I don't know. um because it's literally settings that are in other parts of the game that are somehow in squad battles right now. I don't know the answer to that one, guys. I wouldn't try to go ahead and like abuse it fully, but I do wonder if some people are getting higher squad battle ranks today because they've got offsides off and that allowed them to score some more goals and maybe get some higher ranking rewards. Now, speaking of rewards, I just wanted to open these quick packs here before we talk about how Squad Better Rewards is probably going to impact the market today because this is our first reward set which is going to bring us tradable packs and coins. I think there's going to be some market impact in terms of supply on cards today. probably on the middle to low tier, but you know, maybe some of these cards like a Barca, who I would say is like middle to high tier at 100,000 coins. These guys could drop for like an hour today, right? You've got packs that are going to be opened and some guaranteed rating packs which are going to make sure to supply some of these cards on the market. So, I think you could see prices dip for a little bit, but then hopefully an hour or two after the rewards, you start to see prices rise up into the content drop today on Sunday. We'll just have to see if people are getting their coins from rewards and going out and buying a team. That will really be the deciding factor to if the market goes up today or if it does just drop. Now, I would still be a fan of holding some of these cards that are 30,000 coins and above that are higher rated. The cards that we've been saying hold on to for the past couple of days, even though player prices here and there like Anuba McConnell, you know, he was 67K early Saturday, rose up real nice to 78, dropped all the way down to 65 where he is now. Will he go down to 62 during squad better rewards, but then go back up to 70 afterwards? I think that would be an ideal scenario, but we're just going to have to see. Now, of course, on the flip side of things, cards like that Anthony Gordon, who I keep naming, cards like that Fred Pong, who I keep naming as well as like cards that I would sell. I mean, these guys, their prices are probably going to dip today, and I don't think they're going to rebound too much at all, but they still would be decent cards to bid on. And once again, if you're looking to trade in the market today, I would absolutely get on bids. I think this card is undervalued. one of the best center mids and center attacking mids specifically with the play styles with the passing and the dribbling stats in the Prem, but he dropped off yesterday probably because of the supply and the store and maybe that Rodrigo Mora card as well in the player pick SBC. I mean 32K down to 25 where he is now. I still think that's a card a lot of people would be upgrading to in their team maybe today or tomorrow as they get more coins and they can afford higher rated and better players. I just like seeing this. I like that we saw a nice rise on a lot of the mid-tier to high tier, mostly the mid tier yesterday on the market. I'm talking like players that are 20 to 50,000 coins. That's where you're seeing most of those rises like you did see there on Verts, like we talked about with Up Makano. And then of course you're seeing right there with Fenthours as well. That's kind of the range that I would try to trade with if you're going to try to fluctuation trade. Get a card low today during squad battles and then sell it afterwards around the Sunday content time. That's the same range that I would focus in on because that's where people are probably upgrading to. Like if you think about it, somebody's got into the game, they've opened their 2,000 FC points. You know, they might have 20K, but oh, I just made another 20k from rewards. So, I can go sell that card that I had. Maybe I can go sell Anthony Gordon. I can go sell Brim Pong or something like that. And then with the new coins that I just got, Yep. I can go afford somebody who's 40 to 50,000 coins now. And then you see those cards kind of go up. That's is this is like step two of the market. People are upgrading from those true starter cards into like some actually decent players that are like middle tier. So I hope those players the ones that we can make some most coins off today bid on them an hour after rewards and hopefully get some prices good prices there that you can see rise up into the content drop today on Sunday. Now after content, who knows? We're going to have to see where the market goes, but we're going to talk about that here again in one quick second. Other things I would like to talk about in regards to the market. Yesterday we mentioned watch footie. See who scores goals and who might be able to get a team of the week and be a good investment. Well, Rafini is a bit more expensive than most of [snorts] us can afford. And from 670k up to 730,000 coins isn't too bad, but his card's probably going to go a good bit higher than that if he does get a team of league card, which I think he deserves from his performance yesterday. This is a card though that I invested in. Mo Salah. I picked up some of him at 18,000 coins just about 20 or 30 minutes ago because Mosul had a hat-tick yesterday. He went from 16K up to 23,000 coins. That's darn near guaranteed a team of the week, a hat-tick performance in your first week where there could be a team of the week inside of FC27. So, I picked up some Salas at 18K. I didn't buy them here, right? Like we talked about, when you see a player perform really good in game, they have a hat-tick or they have a team of the week worthy performance, their price spikes during the game, but then afterwards into the evening, maybe the early morning hours for the next day, they always drop back down. So, I picked up Salah right here on Snipe literally just I don't know, maybe an hour ago as I was sitting down here, I picked up five of them right around 18,000 coins. And hopefully that card will just continue to rise into Wednesday when he would go out of packs for his team of the week. There's a whole new wave of players that are still going to be logging on to this game on Friday when the standard edition releases and Muhammad Salah is still a big name and the Turkish League has some pretty good links. So, finesse plus Mo Salah 87 rated going out of packs. He might be still a buy today with squad battle rewards. He's still in packs right now, right? So, maybe you can pick him up for about 18 19k. That's the most that I would pay though. But that's the kind of mindset you're going to be in. Watch today's footie games as well. see if there's somebody who has a really good performance that you could invest in during the game or afterwards and hold into Tuesday when they potentially could be getting a team of the week card. Also, watch out for the voting. I think we can vote again for who could be our community voted team of the week player from the weekend uh on the FC27 ratings page because that happened last week. It's going to happen this week again as well. So, watch out for that that we could be getting involved in. Now, lastly, I want to talk about today's content on Sunday. We've had backtoback days of player SBC's. Will that stop today? I think so. It might, but I think instead of that, we might have a pack SBC. My guess is we're going to get a tradable pack SBC today. Would it be crazy good? I don't know. With all these new pack names, that's really going to be what we have to watch out for. Is it like a jumbo pack? Is it a giant pack? How expensive even is an SBC like that? But if it is a tradable pack that gives a tradable pack in an SBC, usually that impacts the market just as much or maybe more than what a store pack release does because a lot of people are there for an SBC. A lot of people are going to be like, you know what, I'll put some gold cards, especially if it's the new streamlined SBC feature. You might be putting bronze cards into an SBC that gives you a tradeable pack. That could be another thing that does impact the market today. That could be a negative thing. You might see some drops after content depending on how good the pack SBC is because at this stage of the game, everybody is doing tradeable packs. Marquee Matchups is an insta complete over the week that it is out. Same thing if there's another tradeable pack SBC because it gives you the potential of packing something that you could sell and making some coins on. That's my guess. We have no confirmation on that. There was also some tweets yesterday about some hints. Maybe a flashback SBC. Now, a flashback SBC during early access has been a staple for the past couple of years, going all the way back to FC 24 where we had this De Bruyne card. Last year, I believe in FC26, we had that Geretska. There's no leak yet for who could be a flashback SBC player. And maybe it wouldn't even be until next week with our first promo of the year, Destined for Glory. But that's something that we'll be watching out for because that is usually a staple of week one content or even week zero early access content on FC is a flashback SBC. So watch out for that. And guys, I'm still really curious even with EVOs slowing down, being a little more behind the power curve. EA have said I'm really curious as to when we're going to get our first paid evolution that is an actual upgrade type of EVO. I'm assuming that a paid EVO would have a higher overall that you'd be able to submit into it instead of just being a max 79. But if they do like a 25k EVO and say max 81 or max 82, you know, there's going to be players in the market that will start moving in price for that. There's going to be leaks for it. There's going to be player prices that start spiking and stuff like that. This is just one card that comes to mind. Even if it's max 80, we're going to have to see what that looks like because we haven't had any of those EVOs yet. But I'm assuming that's going to happen at some point. But also EA said that they're going to make those EVOs drop on like important days. So is Sunday an important of enough day since it's on the weekend? We've gotten big EVOs on Sundays before. If you look back in the archives, like 500k Evos have dropped on Sundays multiple times or would they save an EVO drop like that for a Friday? That's the real question. But that should be a part of content coming soon. We just don't know exactly when that is going to be. But like I said before, a lot of focus today is going to be on the squad battle rewards. A lot of focus today is going to be on continuing to complete gallery squads and getting those tokens for the gallery token store. That's what I'm going to be working on as we stream today and uh get involved with uh some of the market. I got to get some gameplay stuff done as well. I got to catch up on the Savio objective who I still need to complete even though Spurs covering Spurs. Actually, this is worse than just being Spurs. This is something even worse than that. And then also guys, I mentioned in yesterday's video that there would be a double upload and obviously uh there has not been a double upload. We had to push that back to today. So some of the trading things that I was able to get involved with yesterday helped actually get some more knowledge up into here after what I saw in the market to get some more ideas down for a trading methods video that will be coming out today on Sunday. Little double upy on the channel today instead of yesterday. That is the plan for us there. But that's the video for me today, guys. Let me know what you think about Power Shots. Just find somebody who's got good shot power stats and good long shot stats and start ripping a Power Shot with them and see if you can like get the timing right, if you can get the power right and stuff like that. I wouldn't go out and spend a whole bunch of coins. Like try a Lindsay Heaps like this. She's got 89 shot power. 86 long shots and power shot base. That should be plenty good enough stats plus the play style being there to at least give it a good shot. So anyways, that's the video for me today guys. I will see you in a stream today. Squad better rewards today. We now got to start working on trying to get 30 points in rivals because we got to get to big boy rewards this week. That's going to be a big grind there. And of course, we're also needing to chip away at some of the ones we watched live events. I don't think there's any live events that are coming out this week. Gauntlet is starting in 12 days. Oo, wait a second. Let me take a quick look at this. Ultimate Gauntlet, your progress. Okay, maybe EA is getting smart this year. They're not actually going to show us the rewards and what you can actually earn from the gauntlet because that's one of the things that we could see early every single time last year is the rewards from that.
