Opening Battles Of Legend Until I Stop Pulling Good Cards

Dragon Master Magia is still torturing me. I haven't even sniffed pulling it yet. >> What's up, guys? We are back with another Mijia opening, but this time we're doing the special game we did for Magnificent Monsters where I opened a bunch of packs and started with a counter number of packs and then every time we pulled something cool, we got extra bonus points. That was a lot of fun with Magnificent Monsters. I obviously flopped pretty hard and didn't have the math right, so we had to like restart three different times. But I did a little bit more math this time and I think it's going to work out a little better. Famous last words, but before that, we have a giveaway. I will be giving away this Chimera Techch Mega Fleet Dragon. Just like that's extended art, by the way. Just like the video, be subscribed, turn on notifications. Let me know down below how many packs will I open before we run out of points. And will Mio be pulled in any form before I run out of points? So, before I explain all the rules, if you haven't seen the first episode of Magnificent Monsters where we did this, I mean, it's a little different because it's a different set. We're going to spin a wheel to determine how many packs we start with. And the numbers one through four here are just numbers of boxes. So, if we get four, we get four boxes of Battles of Legend. We start with one, we only get one. So, it's going to be 24 packs to 96 packs is what we're going to start with. And obviously, the higher the number, the longer it may go. It looks like we're going to start with two booster boxes. That's 48 packs. So, our number is going to be 48 to start off. So, let me get these boxes open and I'll explain how the points work. Every pack is worth one point. So, when I open a pack, we lose one point. So, it goes from 48 to 47. Then, whatever we pull could potentially add back packs to our pool. And here are our opportunities. So, we pull a shape snatch, we're going to get one point. I thought that would be a funny meme card to include. And it's also not too often you're going to actually pull one of those. So, it is going to be a nice place to look for some extra points. any Goat or Edison reprints. I put them down as Dup Frog, uh, Black Mud Drago, Card Destruction, and Pyramid Turtle. Those are all one point as well. So, there's some things to pull in the ultra rare slots. Then, there are secret rares. The only thing that gives you points out of secret rares are the chibies, which there are 10 of them, and they are four points each. So, you get four packs if you pull a Chibi secret rare. Then, there are Starlight rares. Uh, if you get one of those, it's 12 points. And then an ultra overframe is 12 points. A Chibi Starlite. So it's a Starlight that's also a Chibi is 24 points. It's a whole box worth. Starlight Overframe is 48. Mia Ultra Overframe is also 48. So those are the two peaks you can get. And then obviously if we get the Mijia overframe Starlight, then we're [music] done. We win. So that the challenge is over. So let me know how many packs you think it'll take to either get Mia or run out. It's got to be at least 48 because that's what we're starting with. So So let's go ahead and open it up. By the way, I got to shout out Joseph for helping me get uh some more packs. These are Euro packs. So, uh, as you can tell, they look a little bit different on the pack. They look kind of washed out on the pack art, but the cards themselves look really nice. Uh, S4 bridge head. And then we have a Dragity Falcon. And because they're Euro, there's no pack trick. Oh, wow. Right off the bat, starting off with a Starlight rare, Battles of Legend, Glorious Gallery, Extellar Knight, Constellar told me the Horseshoe 7, Omega 7 maybe. I don't know. I can't remember the uh is that Greek? I don't remember what the uh the symbols are, but that is a 12-pointer. So, if you want to do math with me, we go minus one, 47, and then we go plus 12. So, it's just a regular Starlight. So, it's nothing, you know, it's not a specific Starlight we want. It's not, you know, a chibi, so we get extra points. It's just a regular Starlight. Now, one of the reasons I uh grabbed some Euro packs is I heard a rumor that they're easier to get Starlight overframes. I don't know if that's actually true, but we'll find out. There's a pyramid turtle. That's one point. Add that to the tally. We have the Mermail. Why does it feel like I can't see these card? Let's see if I see if we do the the the new angle. We're going we're going to alternate on the fly. Does that look a little better? Yeah, I think it does look a little better. Uh Red Nova and Dragunity Quitterness. So, Pyramid Turtle is going to make that an even split of uh we don't have to add any points cuz we didn't lose our point for opening the pack. Okay, so I think that looks better. Yeah, let's Oh, it's moving around every time. Oh, no. It's doing the thing where it likes to move around. Yep, guys. Uh, maybe I'll get a new camera at some point. A, not a new phone. I don't know. The phone is just The iPhone used to be so good for this and now they just want to like it wants to change angles and it wants to do all this crazy stuff. I'm like, calm down. I'm sure I'll mess up the count at some point, so bear with me. Oh, that's a that's a super Rexen special. You don't want to do that. Put it right to the front. Sophia, we have Arrow and Sateller Knight T. Okay, minus one. We're at 57. So, we're going to open at least like 60 packs today, which is pretty good. Got a decent chance to get the uh the Mia. I mean, the Mia, I was doing some math and Mia. If if it's easier to get Starlights, Starlight overframes in Euro, which is a I'm not even sure that's true, but maybe it is, then these numbers will be a little bit easier. But according to my math, you have a 0.0125% chance to actually pull a Mia Starlight over frame. And that's percent. So if you do like decimals, it's even worse, you know? I mean, it's the same ratio, but it sounds worse. Okay, that one is going to even us out the card destruction is a point. So it's like 0.00125 if you're doing decimals because, you know, percentages moves them up a couple uh in terms of how it looks. So it looks a little bit easier. And then you see the decimal like, oh my gosh, that's insane. So very very low chance to actually get them. Very low chance. But uh that is why this is a hunt and a crazy pull if we do get it. There we go. Pyramid turtle. That'll balance us out. Rest it all windy. We just need to slowly slowly make our way to that Mia and then everybody's happy. I still need a chibi summon skull. An overframe already. An overframe and a starlight. Wait, how many points is that? Okay, 12 points for an ultra overframe. So, we go down one plus 12. We're at 68. We're making progress. Now, it's going to be hard to keep up this progress because we've already gotten two things out of uh one box or two boxes. It's going to be hard to keep that up, but it's off to a great start. Next pack 68. So, we got a lot of packs to go. Let's see if we can pull something crazy here. We have the Void Unleashing Secret Rare. So, back down to uh a number that I shall not speak aloud. Let me know if you guys like this format and we can do this with some other sets. There's a duprog that's going to make our our pack worth uh zero there. That's good. Get to hang out on the same number. Uh I did a little bit of math, but I didn't really do the math on how often we're going to get the goat staples and the shape snatch. So, those could be the difference because the current math it's like we're going to get to zero at a reasonable pace, you know, because before I had it where it was impossible. There's a shape snatch. Oh, and a construct. Wait, so chibi secret. So, we go five points there. So, plus four chibi secret rare elol construct. There I think are 53 secrets in this set. So, 10 and 53 chance to actually get one of those uh chibies. And oh, back to back. Okay, so we gained three there because we got a Chibi. So, we are going up, which is incredible. We'll see if my math is correct because as of right now, we're really gaining points. Uh, Queen Dragon to Jen. I didn't do any math to figure out like on average how many packs it should take to go from cuz I didn't even start at because we did a random number. Uh, there's a uh one keeping us even, but like I could if the if the percentage is too high, it could, you know, on average take a thousand packs to run out or something. But I think that I did. The percent or the uh the decimal seems pretty pretty reasonable. So yeah, I was using some spreadsheets for this bad boy. All right, that one is nothing cuz you can really go through a bunch of nothing in Battles of Legend. And I think we will do that at some point. Go through a big uh cold streak where you don't really get much. Uh like I mean that's three in a row right off the bat. So we're starting to get some some cold stuff, but that's okay. We'll see like total number of packs we open in this video. A card destruction. There we go. That's uh it's going to help us tread water a little bit. But obviously we had 48 here on the front and then we've got to open more than that because of the numbers that uh we have gained because we've gained well over 48 packs already just from pulls or 24 packs I should say. Okay, nothing there. 68. So we are almost back down after our chibies bounced us back. Let's see. Secret rare. We're back to where we were just a few minutes ago. But I mean, we're still way above what we started at. Almost 20 packs above. There's another tread water card. Not bad. I didn't know pyramid turtles can tread water. I mean, it is a turtle, so it doesn't make It's not that crazy, but it's in a desert, so you think maybe it wasn't doing that. Oh, there we go. Plus three overall. I mean, it's plus four, but it's minus one as well, so plus three um net. Okay, we have a stellar knight. Cool. 69 hanging out in the 60s for a while with all the special. Oh, Raeki break I didn't put in here. That is that should count as a tread water card. That might I don't know that could factor into the calculations, but I didn't really calculate those. But now it's even more likely there's four uh goat. I knew there was a card I was missing. That's one of them. Ryeki break. So we we got to count that though because it is a goat a goat reprint. It's also Edison, too. So, also just a Yeah, it's nice to have that print because I remember Ryeki break being weirdly hard to get. There's another chibi. So, plus three. When I was trying to make my Edison deck for an Edison tournament, I'm like, I don't have a lot of Ryeki breaks laying around. It's like feronic guardian and then like never again. I think there was legendary collection Joey or something. It had a foil print. Exodia plus three. Dude, we're hitting a lot of chibiies right now. We're going to see what we're uh profited at after 48 packs. So, it'll be interesting to see how high over we are cuz right now we're still we're 26 over uh what we started with, which is pretty wild. Okay, Raiders Knight. We need to open a lot of these packs anyway though, so it's good because Mia, you know, we got to pull that at some point. Okay, Stellar Knights, Cynthia. Can we pull something crazy? Champions Pulse. I don't hardly have any Starlight overframes. Like I pulled a few from this set, but there's Ryeki break tread water card, but compared to I mean monsters, I'm still like hurting on those Starlight Overframes. It's really brutal how hard it is to pull those. Uh, okay, Delta. So, plus three. Dude, the chibies are they're really adding in. Four might have been a little crazy for them. Maybe it should have been two, but I don't know. We'll keep it what it is. We'll keep it what it is. I think at some point I think that really the uh the overframes and stuff like that are what carried pulling those so early getting lucky because last time when we did this we got super unlucky on the first like 30 packs couldn't pull anything high rarity and so that that kind of messed everything up but in this we started off the opposite and pulled everything high rarity got the overframe we got the starlight right off the bat shape snatch tread water card not bad not Got a toll. We have another cheap. Dude, how many chibiies was that in these two boxes? That feels like eight chibi. Like sometimes you can get one. Like imagine getting a no Starlight no overframe with one. Uh that would be brutal. That you'd be like way in the hole. But this time we're getting like eight chibi. Starlight overframe. We're killing it. Okay. Tread water card hanging out at 73. We are almost five packs till we're done. And we are way up. We're like up a whole box. Okay. Starlight rare. Not Starlight rare. Secret rare invoked. I've got a little message on my screen which I need should have put on do not disturb. Big mistake. Another problem with recording their phone. Forget do not disturb. You're getting all these notifications during the video. Uh that looks like a minus one. All right. We're not going to Well, maybe we are. But at this rate, we're not going to be plus a whole box. There's a junk armor. But if we pull like a chibi here, we will be exactly plus a Okay. Substitude. I didn't factor that one in either. So, that's a Tread Water card. All right. Wait. So, there's too many Tread Water cards. That might be adding up. Wait. All right. We're going to need at least three more boxes because I'd imagine out of 70, you know, this is 72 packs, we're not going to get less than three points out of these. So, uh this should be I mean, we're looking at four to five more boxes minimum, even if we don't pull anything crazy. So, we could be opening like a case worth in this video at this rate. But that's also cuz we started hot. So, I don't know if that's going to cool down. If we're going to keep it up cuz if we get like a Starlight Overframe, add 48 packs. It can also end at any point cuz anytime we pull Mia Starlight Overframe, it's just over. Like the video ends. So, I'm hoping that's how it ends. That'd be fantastic if we like we couldn't end like the the counter just kept going and we finally pull it. That'd be pretty awesome. Now, if it takes like nine cases, that'd be a little bit too crazy. Okay, next pack. Let's see what we can get. Lots of packs to be opened today. Will we get something crazy? Not right there. I'm just going to grab them randomly because I didn't really mix them up. So, we're just going to mix them up uh manually by going one at a time. And if we do that, we'll see what we can grab out of here. We haven't been under 60 since the overframe, I don't think. So, we're kind of on a hot streak, but in Battles of Legend, there are some extremely dry streaks. That's why I added in those uh goat reprints being cuz I always mention those anyway when we're opening. That's what I kind of like to add as points whether it's valuable or not. It's kind of like what do I care about in here? Let's make that worth points. There's a tread water card. Uh so it makes them a little bit more fun and exciting. It's like oh normally we're going through battles of legend and it's just can we get Mia? Can we get Mia? you can make some other things worth a little bit, you know, feel a little bit more worth because not only they goat reprints, but they give us a point and let us keep opening a little bit. You know, there's a Tread Water card for Tread Water a lot. Six Six ultra rares make it. We're going to hit Tread Water quite a bit, I think, which might be a game changer. There's a construct. See, cuz all they have to do is hang around, you know. Oh. Oh, next pack. Next pack until we get to those big hits and they can really add the add the value back. See, Tread Water right there. Oh, and that's a plus four overall. Very nice. I just got a notification. Benefits of not being on do not disturb. My Dark Magician Crocs have arrived. That's exciting. I'm pumped. Now, hopefully it's not the women's ones I accidentally ordered. If you guys were at the whatnot stream, you guys saw that happen. Um, yeah, I ordered uh women's ones by accident because for some reason it defaults to women's. It doesn't have a women's and men's. It's just like it goes there and it's just you click them and it's just women's right off the bat. And I did notice that because I was streaming while I was ordering them and tread water card. And then I'm like, "Oh, cool. I just ordered three pairs of women's Crocs." So now I got to return those. So hopefully it's the ones I'm actually, you know, able to wear. But it's probably the women's ones cuz I ordered those first. But we shall see. But the Dark Magician and Blue Eyes ones are so cool. I'm excited. I had to get all I had to get them all. I got the Yuki and Kaiba ones, too. So it did take me many tries of ordering the wrong things. is women's size. Wrong. You know, whatever. Shape snatch. I haven't seen a lot of shape snatch, but I finally did figure it out. I will have the dark magician with the magician's rod. He's going to dark magic attack somebody while I'm walking by them. We're going to be pretty sick. Okay. Pyramid turtle tread water. Vast hero fountain. We've been hanging around this number for a while. Thank Thankfully we we went down and avoided it. Number 66 is much Well, still kind of a sketchy note. All these numbers in the top of the 60s, man. They got something going on with them. What's it going to be? Cold streak. Are we going to cold streak right now? Got one Chibi. Chibbies are doing doing some pretty big work here. They're doing some pretty big work. That's another miss. So, we are headed toward the 50s. Is it going to be possible? I think I made the chibies too many points is what I'm I'm learning here because if we get if you get four in a box that's plus 12 just by themselves. So between that and the tread water cards, if you get 12 tread water cards, you're just even on the box and then you just wait till you pull an overframe. Yeah, I definitely messed up the math I think on that one. But we'll see. We'll see. Because if those were two that would make more sense, I think because then Okay, tread water. See, we're treading water all the time cuz at first I only had four. Well, actually I had five tread water cards. Now I have seven. That makes a pretty big difference. You get them almost every pack. It feels like there is some variance though. Like I mean obviously percentages and like ratios are one thing, but you can just Yeah, we're we're getting a lot of chibies and that is really keeping us in the same spot. Keeping us in the same spot. I thought I had the math figured out but I might be wrong. But on the bright side, we're going to be opening a lot of packs. Hopefully pulling Mia today. That will make me feel a lot better if we get that and just That's why the math is just made so that we pull Mia. That's how it works. It's Mia math. Math Mia. Because with Maia Math, if we just open packs and don't stop, eventually we will pull Mia. You see what I'm saying? My phone is dying. [laughter] My phone is dying. Not a good sign. Tread water card. I would say every other morning now I wake up and my phone's not charged because my little girl has unplugged my uh charger. So, [laughter] she just pulls it out and just I don't notice. [laughter] She's like, she doesn't even know, but she's just wandering around pulling stuff out. I'm like, "You're not even supposed to be earplugs. What are you doing?" So, somehow she loves cords, too. I don't know if you guys if you guys have kids always trying to eat cords. I'm like stop trying to eat the cord. This is not edible. Can you stop? But no, doesn't work. So, that's something I we've been, you know, like, "No, stop eating the cord. Go eat some food or something like can we give you some strawberries or something? I think that would make a big difference cuz we pulled like 20 of them. Even then, I think we'd still be ahead. But dude, frog and a dude, what is up with this? There's so many chibiies in here. All right, look. We go minus the first time in like how long? We were at 60 a second ago. Now we're at 85. Okay, 84. All right. 83. Yeah, I had the math at like 60% of the time you'd get a point of something or like 60% not not a point, but like it was like 40% we would be losing like 40% every pack basically. Well, that math is obviously not right because I I must have messed something up. I don't know. But it also is based on one pack average and I think we're hitting over average right now because we've only opened five boxes. We've already gotten I think it's the the lower end stuff is really what's going crazy cuz I didn't really math them correctly. I think I put 15% on the tread waters like the Edison goats. It's definitely higher than that. It might be like 50% of the time. That's what it feels like. Did I just miss two? I think I missed two. I was too busy thinking about math. Let me let me change this math real quick. Oh yeah, that seems more likely. That added a lot. Card destruction. We're getting a lot of those Tread Water cards because the Chibi seeker rare math is correct. I think uh which is like 18.8%. I think that was doing a lot of it. Okay, there is a Treadwater card. Okay, next pack. There's another Chibi. Dude, these chibiies, are they more common in Europe? Like, what is going on here? All right, we're down to 86. I think I have to accept soon that that our math is wrong. I think that has to be accepted unless the ratios are different in Europe, which there are possible, but it feels I mean the chibies feel kind of maybe slightly high, but not crazy. Okay, bomb between teacher and student is a cool card. That's probably one I would have pointed, but I think there's enough points here. Oh, wait. Remember what I was supposed to do last time? I forgot. I already forgot. Maybe we'll start at 30 minutes. I was supposed to double the the points. Yeah, that was the thing. So the the points actually can be fine. There's a tread water card. I think I'll start it uh after like half [music] a case. What do we think? >> Cuz so this box will be half a case. After half a case, I think we double the points. So that way we still get a nice long opening without like immediately killing it. last time I was going to do it by time, I think, which I could also do that in the future, but let's just do it by we'll open uh six boxes. On this point system, and then after that, every pack's going to count double. And then if we get to a full case, we'll do uh this like we start the next case, it'll be 4x. So, right now, we're still working on single. I think that'll be cool cuz that way we get a nice long opening. I actually kind of like the point system if I factor that in. So, I think it it is pretty strong to keep you alive early. And last time I was going to start with zero. I'm remembering that now. I'm remembering all the things I said last time and completely forgot to do this time. But I think that this way works pretty good, too. So, that way we get I mean, we're really just seeing some really strong pull rates. I feel like for the cards I'm looking for, we're just getting good stuff. All right. 82. We want to build up kind of a strong number. I think six boxes might have been a little aggressive, like too much, but uh not really because it hasn't even been 30 minutes yet. So, it hasn't been the craziest. It'll be a nice long opening for the weekend. I think will be good. Which, by the way, I think I think this is the week original or next week, like this coming week, original artwork collections coming out. So, we're going to have that on whatnot, which is going to be pretty sick. The set looks incredible. the manga rares, the extended arts. I heard someone say they had grand masters, but I didn't confirm that myself. Uh that would be crazy if they have grand masters. Uh because it's already such a crazy set. Also, I don't know if you guys saw, I'm sure you did, but the extended art uh ultimate uh perfectly ultimate grey monoth is pretty pretty sick. Not my favorite artwork, but it is cool that it got one. So, I'm pretty hyped about that. I'm going to have to get the Starlight obviously because duh. Oh. Oh, the underworld goddess of the closed world. This could have been amazing. It would have been 48 points for the ultra overframe, but it is a regular one, which is only 12, so it's a lot more for the uh majia. So, we get 11 93. Okay, nice. Uh I have pulled that one a few times, but the starlights are what we're really looking for. It's going to be sad if we open all these packs and don't get one Starlight Overframe, but honestly would not surprise me with how uh these new polar rates are. They're pretty rough. Still not as bad as magnificent monsters where I haven't pulled one basically at all. There's another chibi. We're going to be over 100. I don't even know if the double pack the double points is going to be enough. Like eventually Oh my gosh. See, there's a fourpointer because we got five points in the pack. 100. Gosh, this is insane. This is insane. So, we've gone from We started at 48. We have over doubled our points. So, two is actually just going to put us at break even. So, that means we're gonna have to get to 4x. I mean, we could get really unlucky because we've already pulled two overframes and two starlights. So, if we only end up getting there's three points. If we only end up getting three in the case of each, then there's only one of each left potentially, but you never really know with these. [music] Now, can we get under triple digits is the Remember when we were trying to get under 60? That was a long time ago or that felt like a long time ago. There's a tread water. So, tread water is not going to be tread water anymore. It's going to be uh slowly losing, you know, leaking water on the next ones. All right, 100. Wait, did I get nothing there? What? I feel I think I got nothing and I didn't do anything. Sometimes I just blank. I'm just opening and zone out. So, I've definitely messed up. I know I've messed up one of the points at some point, but we're pretty close, you know? That's what matters. Okay, Treadwater. All right, 97 points, but we have officially hit double time. Double points. So, every PG's now not worth one, but worth two. We lose two points every time. It's going to be harder to keep up. We're not just keeping up. We're gaining points on the first half. I actually have mags starlight bgs 9.5 and ultra rare uh overframe 9.5 the star both uh overframes that's minus one cuz we gained one uh on my website that was consigned. So if you guys want to check out that consign with me on my website. I'm I've got a bunch of stuff that is coming to get consigned uh and is being is ready for me to list. I just have to get it you know get processed and everything. Uh there's a lot coming there and if you want to be a part of that just let me know. We'll see cuz I mean I was like I was told I think that the Starlight overframes are guaranteed in Europe. I wasn't sure to believe that because that would be a much better ratio than here in the US. But the person I got them from went three for three on the cases they open, which I'm hoping means doesn't mean that they pulled all the Starlights that would have been in my cases. I'm hoping that it just means they're in every case. If you know anything about Euro cases, let me know. Uh because right now, I mean, we've only got three boxes left to potentially pull one.
