Video summary

The "Ones to Watch" promo is making its return for FC 27, bringing back a nostalgic element that was a staple of previous FIFA years before the rebranding to FC. Unlike traditional live promos where cards are sold in packs, this season's Ones to Watch cards will be untradeable and distributed exclusively through objectives, the season pass, and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). This approach removes the transfer market aspect from the promo, meaning players cannot buy these cards directly but must earn them by completing specific in-game tasks. While this eliminates the risk of investing coins into a card that might not perform well, it also means there is no opportunity to flip cards for profit, shifting the focus entirely on collection and potential long-term upgrades based on player performance. A significant portion of the excitement revolves around the unique upgrade path for these specific cards, which differs from the standard "Destined for Glory" promo that will also be launching in packs. The Ones to Watch cards are expected to receive stat boosts through various mechanisms, including Player of the Month awards, Team of the Week selections, and a special "Wins to Watch" feature where clubs earn an overall boost if they achieve three wins out of six domestic league matches after a certain date. Notable players like Faren Torres will retain their base gold ratings without immediate upgrades, while others like Tielemans have already received pace boosts in the leaked official stats. The system is designed so that as these players receive special event cards or perform well, their Ones to Watch versions will upgrade accordingly, potentially reaching higher overall ratings over the course of the season. However, the return of this promo introduces a layer of complexity for fans, as they will have to manage two distinct live promos simultaneously with different acquisition and upgrade methods. The Destined for Glory promo, which features cards available in packs and on the market, will likely follow a different upgrade logic than the objective-based Ones to Watch cards. This dual-system environment could be confusing for new players or those unfamiliar with the intricacies of live card mechanics, requiring users to stay updated via community trackers and social media to understand how each promo evolves. Despite the potential confusion, the prospect of collecting free or easily obtainable live cards that can evolve into high-rated versions through EVOs and special event upgrades remains a major draw for collectors who enjoy the "what if" scenario of a player cooking later in the season. Looking ahead, fans can expect more detailed information regarding these promos to be released on Monday with the pitch notes, which will likely confirm specific dates and mechanics for both the Ones to Watch and Destined for Glory campaigns. The creator plans to use early access time not just for personal gain but to investigate the new SBC systems, objectives, and live events to provide a comprehensive guide for the community's successful start in FC 27. While EA has confirmed that some dates are set, such as the release of Destined for Glory cards on September 25th, other details remain subject to change. Ultimately, the return of Ones to Watch promises a blend of nostalgia and new challenges, offering players a chance to build a collection of upgraded cards without financial risk, provided they can navigate the dual-promo landscape effectively.

Hey guys, this is Nate aka the foot accountant. Welcome back to the channel. One of the staple promos that we used to start off every year of FIFA with back before FIFA was FIFA and not FC is coming back based off the leaks that are hot off the press from yesterday on Friday. Ones to Watch is coming back for FC and it's bringing live upgrades to cards, but this is not a normal ones to watch promo. Those cards are not going to be in packs. They're only going to be untradeable in certain parts of the game. We're going to talk about how those ones to watches will upgrade because we know the upgrade path. We're going to look at official stats for the whole team of those ones to watch cards. It's going to be coming out in objectives, the season pass and an SBC's. and we will talk about what it means for the early game to have not one but two different live promos going to be happening at the same time with ones to watch and destined for glory which is a regular promo with cards in packs. EA is not simplifying things as we're going to have two live promos going on at the same time. We're going to have to keep up with two different live upgrades and ways of cards upgrading. That's going to be a little frustrating and a bit confusing, but we'll get through it. Guys, if you're excited for ones to watch, drop a thumbs up on this video. Hype the video if you can and subscribe if you are new. Let's dive right into where the leaks started and where the nostalgia started to come back yesterday with this tweet right here. Foot sheriff says, "Breaking season 1 is called ones to watch. Ones to watch is back." Yeah. Right away when you hear the words ones to watch, you think live cards, new transfers, upgrading throughout the year, and potential for value. Whether it's doing an SBC and getting a card that's going to upgrade over time or what it used to be investing in a card that was in packs and then seeing that card price rise as that player got in forms and special cards like Mohamad Salon FIFA 18 and the crazy year he had in his first season at Liverpool. But again, the transfer market aspect is not going to be a part of this ones to watch promo because it is again the name of the season, which means it's probably just going to be cards in the season pass in objectives in an SBC's. That has not been 100% confirmed yet. But if the season is called ones to watch, there's probably not going to be a ones to watch promo with cards and packs. And granted, we're already getting a live promo of cards in packs the second week that this game is out. We'll talk more about that later. But after we had this tweet and started to get excited about Ones to Watch being back, we had the full team of Ones to Watch players released with official stats. Now, we're going to look at all these players here, but as you will notice, there actually are some stat upgrades like Tielemans. He got a pace boost and he is the highest rated player out of all of these ones to watch. Now, most of his stats haven't changed. He's still 85 rated, which is the same as his gold card, but he did get a little bit of a pace boost there. Faren Torres though is the exact same as his gold card. And that's what we used to know about ones to watches is they would be the exact same rating as their gold card. The newly transferred player to their new club would be high on expectations and excitement as you start a new season. The hope of that player getting informs and special cards that would upgrade their ones to watch was what made these ones to watch cards exciting. New player, new club, new season and hopeful upgrades. Faren Torres, that's the situation for him. His card is no different. And Yomi Cerchi looks solid. Elliot Anderson a little low on the pace, but Manchester City, Yan Diamande, now this is a card that if he was on the market, a lot of people would like to invest in, but he's not going to be. He's going to be again in the either in the season pass or objectives or SPCs. And those are the same stats as his gold card. He's going to have the quickstep plus on this card most likely as well. Live and upgrading for Real Madrid. that is going to be probably the most soughtafter ones to watch card. Wherever he is, people would like to get him. And again, these cards are in objectives and SBC's and the season pass. That means it's not going to take a whole lot of effort or a whole lot of luck or coins to go ahead and get them. And that's what I think excites me the most as I look at a lot of these players. Even as a Spurs fan for Savio, who's probably not going to get that many upgrades, you don't have to put in hopefully a lot of effort to get these cards. There's not a lot of opportunity cost. Oh, I'm going to spend 100k on this Diamande and hope that he upgrades. No, you go complete part of the season pass or do an objective to get this Diamande card. And if he gets upgrades and informs later on down the line, that's amazing. What do we love more than live cards? Live cards that are free or live cards that don't take too much to get because who cares if you're going to use them right now. Later on down the line, they could get EVOs and be get getting upgrades that way and eventually get in forums or player of the months or man of the match cards which boost these ones to watch cards and those are how they get upgraded. We'll talk about the upgrade path here in a second. But again, back to the players. Savio, this is where you see the first player who's getting an upgrade. He's got an 83 rated card as a ones to watch. His base gold is only an 80. It looks to be that every single ones to watch is at least 83 rated. Tzolis as well for Arsenal up to 83. Somerville up to 83. You even see some cards here like Amy and Laqua on the bottom up to 83 rated. Those are two of the most metal looking cards in this team. Again, these are some big names and some super metal looking cards that are again going to be in either objectives the season pass or SBC's to obtain them. That is exciting and that is hype. Now, this is during the season pass, it seems. So, it would probably span the course of like the first entire month on the game or at least the first four to five weeks. That's usually how long these season passes are. So, right away, it may not look like a card is super exciting to get because maybe Amy doesn't get upgrades right away. Or maybe Laqua doesn't keep any clean sheets and get an in form right away, but maybe later on down the line, he does. And this card, you'll be glad you had it from objectives in your club if you weren't using him in your team already because those stats are pretty good. This Diamande card as well for Nottingham For as a center back looks really, really solid. Leak Hangman is usable. Needs a pace boost. Jed Spence looks really good as well. I don't know his play styles. I need to check that card out in terms of his play styles for sure, but he looks solid statistically and I think he should have left back and right back. And this Madrid women's center midfielder looks really good as well. So, for the team of players with the official stats here, they don't look bad. A couple of them are going to have play style pluses, I would assume, because that's what they have on their card already. But, as we look at these cards, let's of course talk about the upgrade path and how these will be getting boosted stats. It says nothing in here for this upgrade path about play styles, by the way. It is only stats, but that's okay with me because that is how ones to watch cards upgraded in the past. If your player gets a player of the month, a team of the week, a star performer, aka man of the match card, they will get a upgrade, right? So, let's say Diamande is an 84 rated card gets an inform. This once to watch card will upgrade as that inform upgrade goes on top of his gold card and this will maintain the highest rating live Diamande card that we would have. Now, here's my one question with this Savio. Let's say he does magically score some goals for Spurs. Spurs scoring goals. Wow, that'd be crazy, right? Hopefully they can do that today. But let's say he scores goals. Is he getting an inform based off his 80r rated card or his 83? I would have to imagine it'd be off his 83. Same thing with Tzolis from Arsenal. If he were to get an inform card, it should, I think, upgrade based off of this item. So, he starts as an 83, he gets an inform, he goes to an 84 or to an 85, however they're going to do the inform upgrades this year. That's the one question that I have in relation to this upgrade path, especially as is relating to the team of the weeks because the team of the weeks are going to be our best chance to see these ones to watch players upgrade early on in the year. Star performers will happen most likely during man of the match or sorry during um international break windows, which we do have one of those coming very soon. And then player of the month SBCs, those don't start right away. I don't think we had player of the month SBC's last year until October, at least the first couple of weeks of October. So, be watching a player, any of these players who plays well during this month of September could be in the running for a player of the month and then of course an upgrade on their ones to watch cards. So, that would be something to watch out for as you're watching football on the weekends during the month of September. But that is how those cards upgrade plus one more upgrade. The wins to watch upgrade as it was called in FIFA 23 is a club upgrade. Less of a player contribution, a club contribution. If the club gets three out of six wins in the domestic league matchups that it has starting after a certain day, which EA will tell us, they will also get another plus one overall. This is the exact same as the wins to watch upgrade that we had in FIFA 23, except it was three wins out of eight. But EA told us that those games started September 30th and the player doesn't actually have to play for that upgrade to count towards their card. So it does give you kind of a caveat of let's say one of these players gets injured or is injured right now, Savio for example, then you know if Spurs do end up winning three games out of six, which would be crazy. I keep using him as the example, but it would be crazy. He would actually get a plus one overall upgrade there. And that goes for all of these cards. So, we'll have to wait and see what EA do tell us is the official start date for that three of six wins to watch upgrade, but that is how these ones to watch cards work. Now, there's a couple more cards that I haven't showed you guys yet because they are the SBC cards that are coming out in ones to watch. So, that kind of confirms all of these players that we've just looked at are either going to be in the season pass or they're going to be in objectives somewhere else because we have three player SBC's that are going to be dropping as ones to watches. And I would imagine that these would drops over the course of the first season, season 1 ones to watch. Pedro Gonzalez now at Florentina in the Syria. You've got Rodrigo Mora in the Syria as well at Roma. And you've got Manchester City's big signing Batti. Now again, these are not official stats because all these players I do believe are going to be 83 rated at least because that's how it looks from the official stat team here. Everybody is being boosted at least up to 83 with a couple of 84s and one 85 Tielemans being in there as well. But if you're a fan of Manchester City, Roma or Florentina, you've got a live card coming your way. Or if you're a fan of any of those nationalities, Portugal or France, then boom, you've got some SBC coming for you as well. It's all going to come down for the price on these cards. But if it's a player who you think is going to perform at least some point in the next couple of months, or it's a club that you think is going to be able to get three wins out of six in the next month or so, you would absolutely want to at least think about completing one of these SBCs. And hopefully they aren't not expensive. So that is ones to watch. It brings back a lot of nostalgia for me, man. I really, really does because Ones to Watch was a promo that you had so much hope for, so much investment opportunity in back in the day. Now, there's no investing here, like we said, but there's still the drive to want to collect these because the what if, the fear of missing out, honestly. What if Faren Torres doesn't play good right away, but then what if he cooks later on in November and this card goes from an 84 up to an 87 somehow? That could possibly happen. So, that's one of the things that will drive me to try to collect some of these ones to watch cards. Now, as we said, this is not the only live promo that's going to be coming out within the first two weeks of us getting our hands on FC27. We also have the Destined for Glory promo, which will be dropping on the full release, the standard release date of FC27. These cards, as EA say here on their own tweet, will be available September 25th in game. It's a two-eek promo. Remember, this is the promo that we voted on in game in FC26 in the past couple of weeks. They gave us those player picks where you had to choose Unundav or Sibari, Alvarez or your Yarzal, Esacho or Cesco. I would be shocked if Esoch didn't win that. Dani and Thompson, Ramos or Malin. We got to pick one or the other. There was another set of player picks as well that we were able to do. We were literally voting on what players would be in this Destin for Glory promo. And as EA said and as they say here, these cards will be live and upgrading. Now, the thing is, we don't know how they're going to upgrade. And that means we're going to at least have two different upgrade paths. One for the ones to watch cards like we just discussed and another one for these destined for glory cards that will probably be different and that's going to be confusing. And that's the part about live cards that is confusing most of the time. For ones to watches, it's easy. They added the wins to watch upgrade which makes it a little bit more technical. But for these cards, who knows? I'm sure we're going to find out soon how these cards are going to upgrade. But to keep things straight, what we're going to have to do is use the Foot Bin tracker. We're going to have to use websites like Foot Bin here, Twitter accounts that are posting updates on these matches using that sort of information to keep up to date with these cards. Now, specifically for Destined to Glory, these cards you would want to invest in because they're going to be in packs. They're going to be on the market. Sick card design, by the way. I absolutely love that. So, that's a different aspect of these cards that even though we don't know too much about this promo, we know that they're going to be decent investments because they will be live cards and they will be getting upgraded. So, that is going to be the frustrating point with all this ones to watch. Great. Objectives SBC season pass destined for glory. Another live promo happening at the exact same time. So, after you hear all this guys, what do you feel? I feel excited for ones to watch because I love collecting live cards. It kind of reminds me of a little bit of like the road to the final or road to the knockout promos where you do the SBC's and objectives just in case somebody cooks and you get a whole bunch of upgrades for that card later on and they become an amazing player. Again, don't for even forget the possibility of evos for some of these cards there as well. I think that is what excites me the most. And again, live cards and objectives. Love it. Now, for both of these two scenarios, Ones to Watch and Destined for Glory, we're probably going to learn a lot about them Monday because Monday is when we're getting the pitch notes released. If you guys missed the video that we released just before this, the F27 dates that you need to know, make sure you go and watch that video. Not all the dates in there are 100% final. Of course, EA could change some things, but those are the best guesses for dates of when we should be getting on FC27. Some of them are confirmed and the pitch notes are confirmed for Monday. EA has said that themselves. Watch out for those to be released. We're we should be getting a whole bunch of info related to ones to watch and destined to for glory. Then also guys, as you see on that video, Tuesday, we will be playing FC27. That is correct. We have the early access once again this year, which I am blessed to have because of the support of you guys and of course EA allowing us to do that. I'm not going to play early access this year just to benefit myself, even though that's what it will look like. My goal on early access is to find the new things inside of FC27, the gallery, the new SBC system, the new objectives that they release, the new live events, whatever is out contentwise or just gamewise in general. I want to try to find the places where we can start the game the best. maybe make a few extra coins here, maybe take advantage of something there and be able to have you guys get the best start to FC27 you possibly can as well. So, my goal playing 27 early is not just going to be I'm going to try to get rewards and get coins. I'm going to get on the market and watch stuff and see how things are moving. But my goal is going to be getting you guys all the information that you can, answering questions for you guys, watching the market, and hopefully finding some ways where we can all start FC27 in a good way and maybe get a leg up on others or just have the most successful start to FC27 that we can possibly have. So, that's upcoming on Tuesday. But even before then, we got a lot more FC27 preparation to do. So, make sure you subscribe to the channel here on YouTube. Make sure you're following on Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter. We're going to be posting a whole bunch of stuff across all the platforms. It is almost time for FC27, guys. And if you are excited, make sure to drop a thumbs up on the video, hype the video, and like I said, subscribe if you are new. Let me know how you feel about bunch ones to watch down below. And I will see you guys in a video tomorrow. Have a happy Saturday. It's been Nathan with the account. See you there. Peace
