During the All-In Summit in Los Angeles, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang received a live phone call from the US president, pointing him on speakerphone for the audience. The two discussed AI development and data center expansion with the president dismissing calls to slow down AI capabilities as political or foreign interference and reassuring weighing of his full support for advancing the US tech industry despite growing public concerns over environmental and cost of living impacts. The Gates Foundation has pledged $1 billion over two years to expand global AI access and combat social inequality in healthcare, agriculture, and education. Despite growing concerns and warnings from industry leaders, including Bill Gates, about AI's potential threats to job safety and equity, the foundation's goalkeepers report urges immediate action to ensure the technology benefits underserved communities and narrows global disparities rather than widening them. India's introducing a 0.4% a 4% merchant fee on UPI payments above 2,000 rupees starting October 15th to make the network financially self- sustaining while keeping small transactions and consumer usage free. Although industry participants welcomed the revenue boost to cover rising infrastructure and cyber security costs, concerns remain regarding how merchants will adapt to absorbing the new fees. Salesforce introduced KOA, its first enterprise focused reasoning AI model built in collaboration with NVIDIA using the openweight Neotronbased model. Available to both free and premium users, the feature works retroactively and builds on Spotify's existing options for managing taste profiles and family accounts. Apple has launched an initiative bundling Apple TV and Apple Arcade into iCal Plus subscriptions at no extra charge across more than 100 developing markets and small territories while expanding Apple TV availability to 59 new countries for a total reach of 170. Positioned as a strategy to drive services growth in price sensitive regions where highriced Apple 1 bundles had limited appeal. The expanded iCloud Plus offering also introduces an Apple Music Select tier with ad free radio stations in select markets, providing eligible users with discounted upgrades to full Apple Music plans. Altera, a chipmaker specializing in programmable chips for AI, industrial automation, and robotics, has filed confidentially for an IPO amid a surge in US public debuts driven by AI investment. Originally founded in 1983 and acquired by Intel in 2015 for $16.7 billion, Alterara saw Silverlake and Abu Dhabi backed MGX acquire majority and minority stakes last year before deciding to pursue a standalone public listing.
