Video summary
The video introduces a new companion tool called the NTS Scanner, designed specifically for use within TradingView's Pine Screener beta feature. This scanner is automatically available to current NTS subscribers, serving as an essential filter to identify high-probability trading setups. To begin using the tool, viewers must first add the NTS Scanner script to their favorite indicators in TradingView by navigating to the invite-only scripts section and starring it. Once added, the user can access the Pine Screener through a new tab, where they select the newly favorited scanner as their indicator of choice. The tutorial emphasizes that while the screener defaults to a one-day timeframe, users can adjust settings to suit their specific trading style, though the current beta version primarily supports limited intervals like the two-hour chart used in the demonstration.
Before running any scans, it is crucial to establish a robust watch list containing stocks and ETFs that meet specific liquidity criteria. The presenter demonstrates how to populate this list by filtering for assets trading over five dollars with significant average volume, such as thirty-day averages exceeding five million for stocks and ten million for non-leveraged ETFs. This process involves clearing existing data in the stock screener, selecting symbols that match the criteria, and adding them to a dedicated watch list named "Volume Traders." The same steps are repeated for the ETF screener to ensure a comprehensive list of potential candidates. By casting a wide net with these volume-based filters first, traders create a manageable pool from which the NTS Scanner can subsequently filter down to specific bounce or rejection opportunities.
The core functionality of the NTS Scanner focuses on identifying two primary scenarios: bounce opportunities and rejection opportunities. For bounce setups, the scanner looks for instances where price action tests a key support area without triggering a bearish flag flip, indicating potential upward momentum. The presenter highlights how the tool can detect these zones even during extended trading hours by utilizing Pine Script tricks to calculate flags based on after-hours data if necessary. Conversely, the rejection screener identifies areas where price is testing resistance within a bullish flag context, signaling possible downward moves. Users can customize settings such as the number of bars back to look for these events, with five bars recommended as an optimal balance between finding results and avoiding missed opportunities. The video concludes by showing how clicking on specific tickers in the screener results opens their charts directly in TradingView, allowing traders to analyze the context of these signals before executing trades.

What's up everybody? JT here and I'm
going to run you through a quick demo uh
on how to use the new NTS scanner that I
just released for the Pine Screener beta
feature in Trading View.
So, first things first, uh if you're a
current NTS subscriber, you should have
received a notification that you've been
added for access to the uh NTS scanner
script as well. This is going to be a
companion script uh for NTS from from
this point forward. So essentially uh
anybody who's subscribing for NTS access
uh will automatically get uh access to
the NTS scanner as well. So
uh with that uh first step in the
process is to uh add the NTS scanner to
your favorite indicators in Trading
View. Um,
the Pine Screener is limited, at least
currently, to only looking at your
favorite, uh, indicators. So, uh, we're
going to go up here to the list of
indicators. I'm going to go to my
scripts. You will go to invite only. Uh,
and I'm going to come down here to the
NTS scanner, put a star next to it, make
it one of my favorites.
And once that's done, we're kind of done
with the charts, at least for the time
being. So, uh, now we're going to pop
over. And the first thing we need to do
to be able to run uh the Pine screener
is set up a watch list. Um so I'm going
to show you my steps and things that I
look for in my watch list. Obviously, if
you have screener settings that you
prefer to create your own watch lists,
feel free to use those.
All right, so here we are uh in the
stock screener. Uh this has already got
my personal settings that I like to look
for loaded. Again, feel free to use your
own settings, but in this particular
case, uh I want to cast a fairly wide
net because we're ultimately going to
then use NTS to filter the overall list
down to just uh some ideal either bounce
or rejection opportunities. So, uh,
again, to cast that wide net, I'm
looking for, uh, stocks trading over $5
with a 30-day average volume over 5
million. That generates this list that
we have here. Uh, as you can see, I've
already built a watch list from my
volume trader scans. But, uh, just to
show you this whole process, I'm going
to go ahead and clear this out. So, I'm
just going to select that first one.
The last one, shiftclick the last one,
delete.
Yes, I want to delete all those symbols.
So, now I'm going to select the first
name here on this list. Take it all the
way down to the bottom. Hold shift
click, rightclick, add to watch list,
volume trader. So, now we're
repopulating that list. Uh, I also like
to include ETFs in my watch list. So for
that in uh trading view we have to
switch over to the ETF screener.
And again here we have my um preset
volume traders no leverage. So I'm
looking for nonleveraged ETFs trading
over $5 US uh with a 30-day average over
10 million in this case. So that gives
me this list of 51 uh tickers to look
at. Same process. Select the first
shiftclick. select the last, right click
on the list and add those to the volume
traders as well. So now I have a watch
list comprised of all those stocks and
ETFs that have met my criteria. Now I
can move over to the Pine Screener. So
uh we're going to do this in a new tab
and uh I've got this already added to my
favorites. It's probably not on there by
default for you. Uh so you'll want to
come down here to the individual tools.
Find that Pine Beta screener right
there. put a star next to it so it's
always right there just a click away.
And then we come over here to the Pine
Screeners.
All right, here we are in the Pine
Screener. Uh we've got the watch list
already selected here. Volume traders,
you can of course select any watch list
that you've built um to run the scans
on. Um so again, we just compiled this
volume traders list. So we're going to
use that. Uh choose indicator. We're
going to use the NTS scanner.
You can ignore uh these values right
here, these settings. Uh they
are just components of the NTS flag. Uh
but they don't have any alert conditions
or anything like that that we can use
for scanning purposes. So you can just
ignore these. What we're really looking
for are these bounce opportunities and
rejection opportunities. But let's make
some tweaks to our scanner settings
first. So I'm going to drop this down.
By default, the time frame is always one
day, at least in the current version of
this Pine Screener, which again is still
in beta. Uh, so we have a limited number
of intervals we can select from. I'm
sure Trading Trading View will
eventually add uh more time frames and
perhaps even custom time frames to run
these scans on, but for now, uh, this is
what we've got to work with, and it's
plenty. So, I'm going to go with the
2-hour time frame for my scans.
And then in the settings here, uh you
can make a few tweaks. I recommend the
default settings, but I'll talk about
these real quick. Uh session. So even
though uh the Pine screener is limited
to regular trading hours and in some
cases that can give us a false positive
for bounce and rejection opportunities
cuz what we're trying to find are
opportunities where we've tested a key
area of buy pressure according to NTS
but the flag has not yet flipped. In
other words, it didn't proceed below the
ultimate threshold and flip the flag
bearish. Now, if that flip happens
during the extended hours session, uh it
will still show as a positive here in
the screener because Trading View again
stops looking at uh the market as of 400
p.m. essentially, but we are able to via
Pine Script trick it into still
calculating the flag um using extended
trading hours. So, I've done that here.
uh if it's a name that trades fairly low
volume during the uh extended hour
sessions, feel free to switch that to
regular trading hours or if you happen
to like uh how NTS performs on a
particular stock um or any asset really
I should say um with the regular trading
hours chart then by all means switch to
that but the defaults extended trading
hours and that's kind of what I
recommend as a general uh best practice
in NTF Yes. Uh bar look back for bounces
or rejections. So, this is how many
candles back are we going to look to see
if we've tested the either the bounce
zone or the rejection zone.
Feel free to take this further back if
you want to. I wouldn't really make it
any tighter because you probably won't
get many results. Um but if you go too
far back, we might uh the the response
to that bounce zone or that rejection
zone uh might have already happened,
right? So again, feel free to tweak this
setting, but I kind of feel like five is
the sweet spot. Um, and then bar type.
Again, if you're more of a uh person who
prefers how NTS performs, uh using uh
hyenashi candles versus uh regular
candlesticks, by all means, uh feel free
to switch this. Um me personally, I like
to use the candlestick chart. So, I'm
going to leave it on candles. That is
the default, but we do have the option
for hyenashi there. So, uh, I've got I'm
happy with all these settings. And
again, generally speaking, the default
settings are right where you want them.
But feel free to play with these as you
see fit.
And you don't really have to mess with
those if you're just going to use the
defaults. All you really need to change
is the time frame uh that you want to
scan on. So again, we're going to run
this on the 2-hour chart. Let's look for
bounce opportunities. True on that
2-hour chart within the last five 2hour
candles. Here we see energy transfer. I
was had that pulled up already. So, just
quick pull over here to show you this
again. This is our bounce zone. So, the
uh within five candles. So, the fifth
candle back uh we've hit that bounce
zone. The price is now trying to fight
over this little bit of bearish momentum
uh and a short signal here. Some of that
has to do with, I'm sure, the fact that
there was a dividend payment uh or X
dividend uh excuse me, X dividend date
um that took place. Um but other than
that, it's a nice bounce opportunity and
we've pulled back again even post that
into that bounce area. Uh so we could
see this start to curl up. If we zoom in
a little bit, we can see that starting
to curl up. So now we're showing a
counter trend and perhaps trying to flip
this momentum back bullish. You can see
the candles instead of rejecting out of
this sell pressure, they're now bouncing
off the bottom of it. Uh and this is
probably getting ready to flip back to
the bullish side uh and head for more
upside out of this bounce zone
opportunity that we just spotted using
the screener. So uh let's go back. Let's
run a rejection opportunity screener.
Same time frame.
So, I'm going to reset that. I'm going
to scan to pull back our full list of
404 tickers. And so, now we're going to
look for true rejection opportunities.
Let's run that scanned. Lots of them
listed here. Uh for this particular one,
uh yeah, let's do Arcad. I don't think
that's not a name I'm really familiar
with. So, you can get to these charts as
well uh just from the list right here.
So, if I click this, it's going to take
me to the Arcat holdings kind of page on
Trading View. Uh, but ultimately, we
want to see the full chart. So, we're
going to go there. Pulls up RCAT for us.
2-hour chart. Uh, as you can see, we are
still in this rejection zone. So, again,
just like the bounce zone, uh, in the
bullish flag is there. This is our
rejection zone. So, that's true. Bearish
flag still true even after hours. Uh, we
do have the 200 SMA coming up is under
some bullish momentum there, but I would
say, you know, I'd be looking for the
200 SMA to be lost as support. That
could potentially open up room down to
the bottom of that momentum or even the
bottom of this flag before it finds
support. And then if it loses that, uh,
probably on down to test the 333 SMA.
But uh ultimately what this pine
screener does, it allows us to narrow
our focus on opportunities that uh are
more likely to provide us some nearterm
uh profits. So with that, uh that is the
quick crash course on the NTS scanner uh
that I just launched this evening. Uh if
you have questions, feel free to reach
out to me on the X-Trades Discord. Uh or
you can shoot me an email at
NTSindicator@gmail.com.
Uh and with that, I wish you much
success with NTS.
