Okay, give me 15 minutes. I think I can
convince you that data centers are the
new industrial revolution and we have to
embrace them with caveats. Take a look.
Okay, I'm pro data centers. Now, I'm
just going to go I have this fact sheet
written up here. I'm going to vaguely
follow it.
Okay, 70% of the public now opposes data
centers to some degree or another.
Um, I think this has become a big
mistake. I initially joined this group
tentatively. However, with the addition
of on-site power, this is no longer
true. Um,
with the on-site power, 70% of AI
construction goes to Union Skill Trades.
Okay.
um the 1,600 data centers that are
presently under construction,
these these are all using union
contractors and uh these
uh data centers. Initially, we said, you
know, they didn't employ
uh as as many employees as a McDonald's,
but this isn't true anymore. This is
these these are presently being built
and maintained by union labor. So
with the caveat of onsite power
generation which is the reality now
um
data centers should be built by US
citizens employing E-Verify for all
workers and that they should be
unionized jobs
and you know this is the new steel
industry. This is the new
uh new industry of the United States.
Uh little employment at completed data
centers is a myth. Yes, permanent
employment is small at completed data
centers. So in other words, the people
that are working there as employees, but
there's ongoing contract union services.
Okay? Since these positions are
contract, you know, they bring in brick
layers, electricians,
milrights, stationary engineers, and so
forth. Uh they are counted as full-time
employment, but in fact, they're paying
good wages. And these are union
employees because they need the skills
that union employers uh employees bring.
Uh so here's some of the contract
services at completed AI data centers.
what it includes updating compute and
GPU units, plumbers, electricians. Okay.
Uh then this is a big one maintaining uh
and installing but maintaining behind
the meter or behind the fence power
generation. This is the de facto dereg
and basically what we're facing now with
the grid. This is this is how it's got
to go forward for terrestrial uh
compute. there just is no way to expand
the grid in any reasonable amount of
time. But uh anyway, these these uh data
centers, you know, this uh behind the
fence generation is huge. Okay. um new
ma it's got reciprocating engines,
turbines, gas generation.
All these things have to be calibrated
and maintained and updated by skilled
labor. Uh and I have here running and
maintaining power generation stationary
engineers. Okay. Bloom energy natural
gasbased
fuel cells. Oracles using them
extensively. There's, by the way, no
proof that these are going to really
work in any kind of long-term use. But
anyway, they have to be updated or
replaced every 5 years. And this is
going to take plumbers, electricians,
so on and so forth. These are highly
skilled union jobs. Uh even the security
services at the sites. Uh there is a
LEOS-PBA
is a security uh services union. So I
think we've got to push uh the
communities have to say number one
we want E-Verified. We do not want
illegal aliens come to do these coming
in to do these jobs. We want E-Verify.
I'm going to go over this later. Second
of all, we want union trades doing these
jobs. It's better for the tax base. It's
it's safer for the community because
these union workers are the skilled
workers that are required for these
jobs.
Now, one of the things they and I saw
this the other day. I just couldn't
believe it. This uh governor Oh, there's
some dogs barking. Uh was saying we
don't want them using our water
polluting. Well, you know,
this is ridiculous. We have closed loop
cooling systems now. Okay.
In the early days and some of the
uh cryptocurrency data centers and so
forth, they used evaporative systems
which evaporated water
um and used a lot of groundwater and in
some cases actually concentrated uh they
used so much groundwater they
concentrated the groundwater that was
left and caused some pollution. This is
the latest installation. GPU cooling is
just like a water cool PC. It's it's a
closed system. You fill it up once and
that's it. Um, you know,
an AI data center is is a warehouse full
of overclock gaming PCs running 24/7,
365.
Do you hook up your gaming PC to a
faucet and have it continually use
water? No. You fill it up once. This is
what we're talking about. So, the water
concerns are totally unfounded. Uh, as I
said, I just saw Governor Oh, we don't
want I mean, these local politicians are
idiots. They're low IQ. They haven't
even bothered to look into these
specifics. And u I think the uh you
know, the data center community might be
uh not educating them enough as well.
Uh again the power concerns are
diminished greatly. Initially they were
they were like bandits like pirates
coming in hooking into the grid because
you know the electric grid is a public
utility. When you apply
to get power they can't refuse you.
Okay? Uh they have to hook you up. And
that's what these initial data center
constructions were were doing. And this
has resulted in
higher power bills and so forth with
with the behind the fence
um
power generation mandated by Trump.
It it this isn't really an issue
anymore. Yes, they have grid connections
for lighting and you know control
systems and stuff but the the powering
of the uh data stack is uh through
behind the fence generation.
Okay. And here I have down here AI data
center design itself is not the main
driver of higher cost uh higher consumer
rates. Who pays for the grid updates and
new supply is? So
um the early guys were using cost
shifting. The data centers would shift
all these expenses onto the consumer.
Um so utility cost shifting from
consumer to AI data center here is is
the the solution. The data center should
should pay not the public. And these
local communities got to get their minds
right and and set up some basic rules
here. Um and I think
you know water's not an issue, power's
not an issue. You can actually use this
as a clause for uh putting these data
centers in. Uh sound abatement, you
know, this is something else they could
they could write u regulations on. But
the point is providing the community is
behind it and providing you got the
right site where it's not in somebody's
backyard.
Uh you know these data centers have
become the new steel mills. This is the
new steel. You know back in the you know
whenever the 1920s
uh steel was
high-tech. Pittsburgh was Silicon
Valley. You could make steel. You could
recycle it. It used no uh uh lost no u
strength. Um uh it was a miracle
substance. It was light. It was strong.
Uh these are the new steel mills. Okay.
Um these are the industrial centers of
the new economy and by totally I mean
you know there were many problems with
the steel mills you know there was
massive uh environmental systems
installed that solved all these problems
and this can this this can happen with
the data centers as well but to
I mean again the community has to be
behind it. I say no tax abatements
uh rules regarding power cost shifting
sound locations zoning locations these
are all thing this is completely doable
this is not
there these aren't strong reasons for
refusing uh out of hand data centers so
regulatory and policy work is required
here with the data center specific rules
and policies Okay. Data centers must
cost any uh must cover any grid
improvement cost they generate. Okay.
Data centers must generate their own
power supply for compute. Not an option.
Compute and cool, excuse me.
uh AI data centers connected to the grid
must also and this is important agree to
cut data center grid power supply
connections in times of high demand
by request. Now this violates their
99999 uptime but this ensures that they
are not going to brown out or black out
the whole grid in that section. I have a
previous video uh which I'm going to put
a marker up here on I think uh about uh
these these data centers running at full
tilt. They like develop a heartbeat.
Okay. Uh of power and it's a surge
diminish surge diminish surge. It's like
a heartbeat. It's the cooling systems
and the electrons moving through the
chips and everything develop this rhythm
and it can trigger backup power that
hooks up to the grid in emergencies and
then the surge disconnects it and
connects it and this confuses the grid
system. Okay. So these data centers have
to agree to um
sever their grid connection and you know
they can do this. Uh they have on-site
power generation but you know batteries
are the key here. On-site batteries all
of Musk Colossuses basically run and
here's Colossus one as an example.
uh all data centers not regulated as way
will contribute to higher consumer
electric bills. So
they got to cover grid improvements.
They got to generate their own power.
They must agree to cut power. And you
know they could do load shifting and
other things. Uh you know if there's
inference delays people may put up with
this. Uh I mean there's all kind of
workarounds for this battery backup,
fuel cell backup.
Um
there tons of things. Okay. Uh AI
Colossus XAI has up till now been a
really good example of how to do a do a
a uh data center. Although Musk is
changing uh his SpaceX people are moving
into data center development. Before
they were just rushing and they were the
fastest to get these things up. Now they
say they're taking a a slower approach
and building in more reliability.
It's got
behind the fence power generation
largecale battery use. Okay. So really
all these XAI data centers, massive data
centers are running off batteries.
They're um
their power their their turbines and
they actually built uh uh moved a power
plant from Hungary and built it not far
from the site and piped their own power
in. But the thing is everything is
charging into mega packs and the whole
system is running off mega packs. Okay.
And these act as a big capacitor and and
fluctuations and so forth. This is uh
this is how they solve the problem. Uh
once new infrastructure is in place uh
load was shifted to the grid expected to
total about 300 megawatt. So
uh they did do some grid hookups
but uh basically these guys are
large Tesla mega pack batteries complete
this install acting as storage and
capacitors.
Anthropic and Google are renting this
facility right now. Expansions are first
handled by on-site turbines and
batteries waiting for grid connect
connections. This is considered to be a
hybrid installation. Now again,
private grid, public grid um you know
there's all kind of different ways to
approach this. uh Colossus 2 macroart
a minimal grid collection connection is
in place with off-grid power generation.
It is currently the largest single AI uh
data center 440,000
GPUs currently powered by portable gas
turbines.
Eventually Macrohart and Macro harder
will be powered by a 1.2 gawatt plant
owned by XI. They moved this power plant
from Romania I think and rebuilt it
piece by piece at a site not far away
and there they have their own power
plant. Okay. Uh in Mississippi near
Colossus 2. So this is a model for
future terrestrial zero impact. XAI uses
uh gray water which is waste water for
their cooling systems as well.
So, another company that is is doing
this is Fermy has uh currently under
construction, although there isn't much
news on it. They're building a gas
generating plant right on property, and
they're planning to have solar and
nuclear as well, but uh and they have
turbines coming in as well. But these AI
data centers of any significant size are
going to have to have onsite power
plants. And again maintenance so on
union jobs stationary engineers you know
there's a lot of work here for
uh union guys are working class
and this is a summary is most recent
available statements and there's so
little data on actual use it's so such a
CF mid to late 2026
MGM ML is the company. Colossus SpaceX X
AI has not driven residential rate
increases or impacted portable water
supply. Okay. So here is our model. This
is the model and this is what a
community should base their laws and
rules on. Uh f future power issues
depend on increasing AI use, expansion,
power demand. You know how much how much
will they be able to handle? Cost
allocation for grid improvements.
Excuse me.
XAI is going to question mark cover the
grid improvements required and yes they
will. This is this is the way it's going
to work.
So uh as it expands
that see the grid here's the thing. The
grid is developed over a hundred years
or whatever. It is engineered to the nth
degree. I think they plan for one day of
power outage every 10 years. Every watt
is allocated on the grid.
To upgrade the grid, of course,
installing battery packs in in locations
to act as capacitors for demand is a big
thing. However, here's the thing about
the grid. It's high voltage. They only
they don't have enough people to do
major grid work. They just don't parts.
They need breakers. They need switches.
I mean, nobody's making this stuff
anymore. Uh, you know, I when I was a
kid, I worked in a hardware store. We
used to sell obsolete breakers and they
would get top dollar for them because if
you go to change an electric service
like that what they want to do is
upgrade the grid and you go in and your
breakers cuz they have breakers at these
substations aren't made anymore. Guess
what? You have to replace everything.
You have to replace the breaker box, all
the circuit breakers, everything. Okay?
So, anybody that's counting on massive
improvements to the grid, not going to
happen. We have these companies now that
are uh putting in homebased batteries
that are supposed to work together as a
um uh virtual uh power plant. We'll see
how those work. Um I don't know. They
have lithium-ion batteries.
Uh I think Tesla's proven that they can
do that safely. These are a little
different. And let's and let's talk
about employment. Okay.
Uh will self-generation continue to meet
demand? And it's going to have to meet
demand because there's no other way to
do it except moving to space, which is
what Tesla's going to do. And that's why
SpaceX is going to be a success.
Now, let's just talk about now. I keep
saying milrights, electricians,
plumbers,
uh stationary engineers, these are
electricians. These are all union
skilled jobs. Okay? Mostly men are in
them. Okay? And these are well-paying
jobs. And there's going to be there's
already big demand for electricians.
These are well these are the new
industrial jobs in our economy. In the
most recent uh jobs report, 97% of new
jobs went to female dominated
professions.
Only 3% went to males.
Union tradesmen are mostly although not
exclusively male. Okay. The US workforce
desperately needs an opportunity uh AI
data that the AI data center buildout
offers. Okay. These are middle class
workingclass jobs. Additionally, it is
vitally important that AI data centers
meditate. Now, I I want to bring this up
and I think Trump should mention this
because they're going to want it at some
point. They're they're they're going to
they're going to try to sneak in
immigrants and other things to run these
things to cut costs. It's I think it's
vitally important for security and for
our job structure, our economy that
everify is used
uh for all the uh permanent and contract
employees
um at these data centers and that's for
security and for American workforce. We
want all this data center employment to
go through E-Verify for security and for
our economic security as well. Uh and
for our national security as well. So uh
I just want to put that out there and um
I just want to say
this this is why there's a rush to
construct and complete a data centers.
There there are staggering losses from
delays. Now, Oracle just came out with
its earnings,
massive,
and they're doing a massive capex spend
to build capacity
much like Meta. Um, this is the new
industrial revolution. This is
um the new steel industry. Okay.
uh IDC average lost revenue
um for missing construction deadlines on
AI data centers is 10,000 per megam
megawatt per day
and that a delayed 100 megawatt
deployment can approach the billion
dollar mark
when the cost of capital and demand
shifting elsewhere ware are factors in
are factored in. So financing and your
customers going to other
pe other providers.
This is a billion dollars a day. Okay.
This is the revenue stream that local
communities can hook into via tax base
and employment.
these,
you know, small town city councils and
the rest of them, they simply must get
on the ball. I think the federal
government mandating E-Verify for this
buildout is key key as well to economy
and employment.
But um provided the community wants the
data center and they have the zoning
laws and the power requirement laws and
the other laws in place. Okay. And they
can cite these there is no reason
to be against
um data centers and because of this rush
that's going on right now. You can see
these billion dollar losses. They are
they're trying to you'd say, "Well, why
don't they put it in an old factory, you
know, a brownfield where an old factory
was torn down?" Well, the thing is it's
it's cheaper and faster for them to
actually do new construction than refit
these old uh construction sites.
However, now with these 70% nimi bands,
I think this gives the communities more
leverage as to the sighting location of
these plants. But, you know, it's
irrelevant. This is a this is a gold
rush.
And my my call to the to the public is
don't be a refusnic,
okay? Um don't be a lite, okay? Um this
is here. These people that are saying
that that this is a bubble, they're
foolish. Look at look at u Oracle's
latest
u earnings. Okay, demand is through the
roof. Anybody that's used AI and it's
getting easier and easier to use and
more uh capable. I mean again this is
the new and and and we're so lucky as a
country that this has uh because of the
uh power order from uh the executive
order for on-site power. This has
brought an industrial component to the
AI data center buildout that wasn't
there before. And I'll tell you this is
just what the economy needs. This is
just what these local economies need.
And everybody that's banning doing
outright bans and pauses
on these data centers
need to reconsider these issues and and
and see this is an opportunity for high
quality industrial employment that we
haven't seen in this country since the
1960s.
1970s.
This is amazing. This could I mean this
could start
a whole new uh economy for our country.
So anyway, this is MXUX. I changed my
position on this topic and you know the
reason I changed is because this behind
the fence behind the meter power it
changes the whole equation
and I think uh communities and
individuals opposed of course properly
cited properly zoned
um with proper tax structures tax
incentives to the local communities.
Employment opportunities are the key
here for highpaying
union jobs. We need to insist on union
uh for the safety of the community.
Union uh employees maintaining and
working in these um data centers and we
need to insist on verify. E-verifying
is very important. We do not want this
opportunity to be squandered
on illegal immigration cost cutting.
