Nike Air Foamposite One Victor Solomon Trophies

Today we're taking a detailed look at the black Victor Solomon Nike Air Foamposite 1 and you know we got to compare them against the white pair, too. As you guys can see from the box, you have your all-over paisley print with this glossy finish throughout the entirety of the shroud and then in the center of the lid you'll notice you have your Victor Solomon branding with your Nike swoosh in gold. Same thing here on the sides of the box with your Nike Air on the back end. Now pulling up in the drawer of the box you'll see you have this gold finish all throughout and then each shoe comes individually wrapped in paper and in their own specific dust bags as well. Another cool hit right here is your Victor Solomon logo in the gold stitch with the Nike Air in the center of that. And as you're sliding this open you'll also notice you have another lace lock and it's pretty heavy. This is actually a basketball with the Victor Solomon logo on it. And then you'll notice each shoe, like I was saying, is individually wrapped in a paisley print paper all throughout. The details on all these drops are amazing. And then peeling that off you'll see you actually have another set of white paper right here on the inside. And flipping that open you'll see you got the shoe. Oh [snorts] yeah, got the shoe. Now before we get into breaking these bad boys down and comparing them side by side and going over all the crazy details on this shoe, you know we got to go over the history first. If you've been paying attention to the sneaker world this year, you've probably heard the name Victor Solomon. But what makes his Nike collaboration so special is that it didn't start with sneakers. It actually started with art. Born in the Boston area and having a passion for basketball as a kid, Victor Solomon then moved to Los Angeles and built his reputation by transforming basketball into fine art. His signature style combines luxury materials like stained glass, crystal, bronze and gold with iconic basketball imagery. Instead of treating the the as just a sport, he turned it into something you would expect to see at a museum. His literally balling series quickly caught attention from collectors, athletes, and eventually the NBA itself. In 2022, Victor Solomon partnered with the NBA to redesign several of the league's trophies, including the Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP trophy. He created a new visual language that blended craftsmanship with the perspective of championship hardware. Fast forward to 2026, Nike gave Victor Solomon the opportunity to bring the same trophy-inspired design language to sneakers. His first trophy collaboration debuted at NBA All-Star Weekend out in Los Angeles, and I had a chance to go to the Shoe Palace drop and pick up all the shoes and meet Victor Solomon. There was only 1,000 pairs of the shoes releasing of each model, and they had the Air Force 1, the Air Max 90, and the iconic Foam Posite 1. Each shoe represented a different part of Los Angeles while incorporating premium materials, metallic gold accents, chain laces, and details inspired by championship trophies. Then came chapter two, WNBA All-Star Weekend. Victor Solomon and Nike introduced the all-black version of the trophies collection with a darker color palette but still giving you the black hardware accents. With him continuing this story with Nike, it opens the door for his collaborations to become a true design franchise. Victor Solomon's journey has proved that great collaborations aren't built overnight. Years of creating meaningful art eventually led to designing NBA trophies, and from there, one of the most unique Nike collaborations we've seen in recent years. It's a reminder that when your craft is authentic, the best brands eventually come looking for you. Looking at the bottom of the shoe, you're going to notice classic to your Nike Air Foamposite 1. You have the same pattern here, but this time it has that semi-translucent smoked outsole to it. Now, in the center of the foot, classic again, you have your carbon fiber shank plate, and then that wraps up to the inside and that wraps up to the side of the foot on the outside, and the same thing with the smaller hit right here on the inside of the foot. Now, to the upper, amazing with the details. You have your all over black base and your white details is going to be that paisley print throughout the entirety of this upper. Now, on the front end and top of the foot where you see the lace holes, you have a premium black leather with your gold swoosh on the outside of the toe, and then going up the center of the foot, you'll notice you have your black leather with the black stitching the middle of that. And instead of having a jewel or something like that, they opened it up and they put a gold stitch swoosh right here in the middle. You also have a premium leather tab. Now, these come standard with your gold chain laces, which is also going to be similar to his backboard designs like you guys have seen in the previous history part. And then same thing here, your gold lace locks with the basketball and the Victor Solomon and Nike branding. These also come with an additional pair of premium flat laces, and you're going to notice on the dubraes right here, you have your Victor Solomon logo in the center with the basketball look to it as well, and your gold tips on the end of these laces. And everything essentially is the same on the white pair, but again, it's flipped. So, instead of the black base, you have a white base with the black detail, and instead of the black leather, you got the white leather. Same thing right here, white in the middle of the foot instead of the black. But, there are a couple switch-ups when it comes to the back end of the shoe, and also on the insole. You notice with these two shoes side by side, they have that same material with the black and then the all-over paisley stitched throughout, and then the gold stitch with the Victor Solomon logo and the swoosh. Also with that, you have your pull tabs and your premium leathers, and then your same paisley material right here on the back end around the heel. And then on the inside of the foot, you'll notice this pair is actually all black throughout with the Victor Solomon logo on the heel. And then the difference on the LA All-Star weekend, this was inspired by the city. So, because of that, they have the city's map on the entirety of the sock liner on the foamposites. So, the two shoes are essentially the same, but slightly different kind of home and away vibes, and I like how they went about that. But, the question is, which one do you guys like more? Because the white pair, ah, I was in love with those. And then I saw the black pair, and I was like, ah, I don't know which one I like the most. Let's see what the people say. 65% of the people chose fire, and 35% of the people chose trash when it comes to the All-Star pair. Now, when it comes to the black trophies pair, they actually called this one 70% to 30%. So, this one overall is doing a little bit better than the white pair. Do I think wearability-wise and functionality for overall longevity, that's probably why? Maybe, yes. Or maybe people just like the darker colorway more than the lighter colorway. And I see a lot of people, even myself sometimes, naturally gravitating to darker shoes because it's just easier to rock. I kind of just have like a little bit less worry when I'm rocking my shoes. Now, put these two side by side to see what everybody was saying because on the Air Max 90s and the Air Force 1s, they're honestly pretty close to a 50/50. But, for this one, this one might shock you guys. 68% of the people chose the black pair and 32% of the people chose the white pair. Now, in my opinion, I think that is far off. I Honestly, both shoes are amazing. Potentially sneakers of the year in those conversations at least. And let me know what your thoughts are in the comments section.
