NEET UG 2026 Application Form – Step-by-Step Guide | Avoid These Common Mistakes

Hello everyone. The NEITE UG 2026 application has been started and in this video I will be teaching you how to fill the NEIT application form correctly and avoid common mistake. Okay. So this first step to fill the application form is to visit the official website need.nt.nic.in. Okay. You can see we are uh we will go to this website need.nt.nic.in. in this site. Then we will move to the um registration for neat UG 2026. Okay. Then there there are three box given over here. First steps to apply online. Then register yourself need UG 2026 and already registered candidates. Since we are not already registered candidate, we are registering for the first time right now. So we will go to the new registration. Okay. But before new registration, kindly download the information bulletin. It contains a lot of information about your eligibility criteria, age requirements, reservation rules, exam patterns and important dates. Okay, just go through this PDF once before filling the application form. Okay. In the page number seven, you can see the uh application form submission date has been started from 8th February and it will end by 8th March 2026 at 900 p.m. Then last date for the successful transaction of fee is 8th March up to 11:50 p.m. And um corrections if you need to correct anything uh in the application form the correction window will be open from 10th March to 12th March. You can see then announcement of city intimation it will be done um like after the registration process and even the admit card will be released later on the same website NTA. Then uh date of examination is 3rd May 2026 on Sunday. Duration of examination is 3 hours 180 minutes. Timing of examination 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the evening and the center of the examination will be given in your admit card. Okay. So like this all the details are given over here and even the fee amount the fee you have to pay for the application process for general it's 1,700 general EWS it is 1,600 SCST PWBD PWD third gender it is 1,000 rupees okay just go through this information bulletin u if you want to fill the application form on form on your own okay and um also I will be covering every details in the video okay so let's start filling the application form Now here we will go to this this box new registration. Okay. When I have selected the new registration I have to read this. See it's given over here. I have to collect all this documents before filling out the application form. So what are the documents required to be ready? First uh we should have the you can see over here passport size photograph. It should be in color or black and white. At least 80% of the image must consist of candidates face. Okay. And the size of the passport size photograph is 10 KB to 200 KB. It should be in the format of JPG and JPEG. Signature 10 KB to 200 KB. Um in the format of JPG and JPEG. Next you need to have the left and right hands all fingers thumb impression. Okay. You impression of all the fingers. Okay. So that should be ready. It should the size is 50 KB to three not 50 KB. It's given 10 KB to 200 KB. Okay. And the format JPG JPEG. Next if you belong to any particular category you have you should have the certificate. Okay. And that certificate should be in PDF format size 50 KB to 300 KB. uh class 10th certificate 50 KB to 300 KB in the PDF format again class 10th um mark sheet or in class 10th or equivalent marks are in CGPA if your class 10th marks in CGPA you have to provide the conversion scanned copy of the conversion in the document section okay and that's the size should be 50 KB to 300 KB next scanned copy of identity proof So generally we upload Aadhaar card. Okay. You can upload Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card. Okay. It should be in the format of JPEG and JPEG 10 KB to 200 KB. If you belong to any of this category PWD or PWBD, kindly provide the certificate and it should be in 50 KB to 300 KB. Your address proof certificate. Okay. Present and permanent both. Okay. like electricity bill or um even your residential certificate you can give over here 50 KB to 300 KB. If you belong to NRI you need to provide the certificate. Okay. And the size should be 50 KB to 300 KB in the PDF format. Student just keep ready all this document before filling out the application form. Okay. It will be easy for you to fill out the application form if you will keep ready all this document. Okay. Now we will select on this box. I have downloaded the information bulletin and read and understood all the instruction as well those mentioned above and accordingly I'm filling up the application form. Okay. Now I will click here to proceed. Okay. So here I have to write my details. Okay. Candidate name. I'm writing my name. Okay. You have to write your father name. Kindly fill all the details carefully. Okay. There should be no mistake. Uh then date of birth you can put your date of birth again to confirm the you have to fill it again everything then date of birth again date of birth present address also over here okay I will be writing 174 you can see here I'm write I have filled my permanent address now electron electronic communication address. Okay. So here you have to provide your email address and mobile number. Kindly fill out the correct email address and correct mobile number. Keep your mobile and email uh register your email ready. Okay. Um and the email address and phone should be active for 5 6 month. Okay. So just write your email address here match with this. Then I have to register my number. You can provide an alternate number also. If my permanent address is same as present address, I have to select this box. Don't have to uh enter your permanent address again. Okay. Now just create a strong password. Okay. Uh so you can again log to the same application website uh through this password. Okay, just create any strong password something neat security question any website or which is which which website you frequently visit or what is your favorite color then I have to fill this section also ch okay now I will submit see what I did the mistake I my email address is not correct okay here I have left the case. Now it is matching. Okay. Now I'll submit this. Done. So I just have to review the details carefully in the registration form. Okay. Uh my details is given over here whatever I have updated. Now I have to just click over here that I have verified all personal details here also and then I agree. Okay. Kindly look on this registration details carefully while you are filling your own application form. Okay. Now I will submit an an OTP and will be will come to my mobile number registered mobile number and I have to verify my mobile number. Okay. Uh submitting my registration form and I'll get the OTP. After getting the OTP there will be no changes allowed. Okay. And you cannot again register with the same mobile number if there is any incorrect any incorrect details you have mentioned. Okay. So you have to use the same mobile number uh for one application form. If you are filling any other application form you have to use the another mobile other mobile number. Okay. So I am just clicking on yes done. Now I I might have received an OTP. I'll check this. I got the OTP 255045. submitted the registration form. Okay. So I have registered. Okay. But I have not yet filled the application form. My registration has been done. Okay. I have created my password. I have got the application number. You can see on the right side here over here there is an application number. Kindly note down that application number. Okay. because while login when you have to login now you need to fill out the application number and your password okay so just remember your password and down note this application number somewhere carefully okay now I have to fill my application form it's easy step okay all the steps are easy but keep your all documents ready so first here I have to register I'll go to okay Then uh in case you're girl candidate are you only girl child of your parents? If you are only girl child of your parents you can click yes. If no then put no. Okay. Then put put your nationality Indian or NRI. Okay. Um you have to mention the state from where you have appeared for 12th or you are going to give your 12th examination. Okay. So just put the details over there. Category. Okay. General. General. Diabetic or not? Mention yes or no. Okay. Place of residence. Urban or rural. Annual family income. Okay. Just put something like that. Uh just check with your parents what is the annual family income and then fill the details. Okay. Next. Country of residence India. Mode of preparation. So if you have done the self-study or you have you have joined a coaching institute or an online coaching institute okay whatever just select that one okay do you intend to wear traditional dress while appearing in neat UGG 2026 kindly click yes or no okay so the dress code instruction has been given in the chapter 11 of the information bulletin so kindly go through the dress code uh information over there and then you can put the yes or no okay if you belong to a particular religion Um then just go through the details carefully. Okay. What you have to me wear over there. Okay. Save and next. Then next. Disability details. So if you are a PWD PWD candidate, you have to select this yes or no. Okay. If you will select yes, you need to give your um certificate also over there. Okay. Uh disability certificate. But if you will click no, you do not you don't have to provide any certificate. Okay. I selected no. Okay. Again I have to confirm this. Submit and next. Yes. Okay. Now registered identity details. So I voluntarily agree to share my Aadhaar number and I'mware that it will be used to establish my identity at various stages of new duty examination by matching my personal identification details available in the dhar card records of UAT. Okay. So you have to here you have to provide your Aadhaar card details. Okay. Keep your Aadhaar card in front of you and write the Aadhaar number which is given in your Aadhaar card. Okay. So I have entered my Aadhaar card details. Now again I have to confirm this by entering the capture. Done. Submit. Okay. Submitted. Now I will receive the OTP um through which my Aadhaar card is registered. Okay. I will get an OTP and I have to fill it 712586. Again I have to confirm this GF4437 done. Submit OTP. Okay. So the Aadhaar card details are over here. Okay. If you have Apar ID you can click yes. No, you can put no. Okay. Then submit. Okay. So question paper medium uh if like uh you are comfortable in which language to give the exam English, Hindi, Canada or Udu you can select that. Okay. Then exam state city first choice. So like u you are in Karnataka so you can select the Karnataka state. Okay. The select examination city. So you will get uh the city options over there. Then again you will get the Karnataka Select examination city. Okay. I have to all the city choice should be different. It should not be the same. Okay. Then Karnataka. Okay. Done. Next I have to father qualification and occupation. Okay. So we'll just put this card qualification mother's occupation. Okay, just fill out your own father's and mother's occupation. Okay, if mother is housewife others then guardian qualification. Okay, now again I have to confirm this by by filling the capture. Done. Now I have to fill the qualification details. Okay. So here like if you have 10th past all of you might be all of you are 10th past over here. Just fill the pass like fill the past status. Then year of passing you need to mention over here any okay just fill your own uh details. Qualifying examination 10th or equivalent. Okay. Uh what was the place of the school? Is it in rural or urban area? Okay. Then type of school was it government school, government, private, private, unated? Okay. Yeah. So just put this examination state from where you have qualified uh this exam. Okay. Just fill your own details. Do not copy the same details which I'm mentioning over here. Fill your own details. Okay. Total marks of the exam like 500 total five subjects was there each were 100. So total marks is 500 how obtained marks suppose you got 457 457. So you will write okay the percentage will be reflected over here. Then put your role number. Okay. Some raw number then school college name put. Okay. Done. Then if for the 12th uh details now if you are still in the 12th you can put appearing. If you have passed the examination you can put the past. Okay. So this is for I'm filling as an appearing student. Okay. So I have put the appearing qualifying examination uh code 01 place of the school you have to fill in rural or urban area then type of school. Okay, you can put qualifying examination state from where you will qualify this examination. Put qualifying examination district, school board, enter your college name, school name. Okay, done. Okay, again I have to confirm this. Done. Save and next. So now I have filled my qualification details also. Okay, please fill your own details. Okay, your own details whatever uh 10 according to your 10 certificate and 12 certificate. Okay, then uh there these are some additional details over here. Are you a twin and both applying for the NE UG 2026? If you have some brother and sister who is identical to you, just put yes or no. Okay. Um if it is yes okay you have to mention their class 10th ro number you have to mention the name of the brother and sister over here according to their 10th certificate okay I'm selecting no then have you ever appeared in neat UG examination if you have taken drop and you have appeared for the neat examination previously put yes if it is no just put no okay place of birth your place of birth India then state. [snorts] Okay. State put again. Confirm this. Zero. Save. And next. Done. Okay. Now I have to register emergency contact details. Okay. So I'll put some alternate number and details over here. I'll put India mobile number in this column. Now put your parents number. Okay. And uh that number should be active. 814 done. Okay. The OP OTB will be sent to my registered mobile number and email address. Okay. Okay. I have received the OTP on my email. Verify and next. Just carefully check the OTP which you have received in your mobile and email address. Okay, because you have two attempts. Verify and next. I hope it will proceed. Okay. So here you have to give your live photo. Okay. And you have to capture the live photo over here. Okay. Upload photograph. Okay. You have taken your live photo. Okay. If you want to recapture the photo, you can recapture the live photo. And if there is if you don't want to recapture if your photo is ma matching with your Aadhaar photograph then proceed. Okay. Here the most important part of the application form you have to write fill all the documents carefully. Okay. What you have to fill over here your passport size photograph and your 80% should be face should be in the photograph. Okay. And the photograph size is JPG JPEG. If it is not there in JPG JPG you can convert it online. And even if the size is not there 10 to 200 KP you can change the size also. Okay on your own done. So here you have to fill the you have to fill the right hand and left hand fingers impression. Okay. My documents is not in the JPG format. Okay. I have to convert it into the JPG format. Okay. So you will get it online. Uh PNG to JPG conversion. PNG to JPEG converter. I'll just go to this select an image. The one which I have to convert. Suppose this was my thumb impressions which I have to convert to JPG. I'll get it into the JPG. Downloaded the converted image. Okay. This but the size is the size should be 10 to 100 KV. Okay. Again if I have to compress the image I'll go to the image. I'll select this and compress it. Okay compress image. I got the image which whose size is 85 KB. Okay. Now what I have to do I have to fill the thumb impressions. Okay. Okay. See this the image width and image height is 140 and 180. You can change the width and height in the paint uh tools given in your computer. Okay, I have uploaded it. Okay, then signature upload original. Done. It is uploaded. Okay, then 10th mark sheet 50 to 300 KB size. Okay, so I'll download and did I have uploaded it. So, okay. I have to select here also actions upload. Okay. When we are filling now, I have to put uh upload al select upload also. Okay. Here I have not filled over there. JPG. Okay. Upload original. Upload. Okay. Then again I have to fill the signature. Upload original. Upload mark sheet. Okay, random file but you have to select the 10th mark sheet certificate. Okay, in which your marks is given. Do not upload any random document. Let's upload it. [snorts] 10th certificate. Okay, your 10th passing certificate is different and your 10th mark sheet is different. Okay, so please upload the 10th passing certificate. Okay. [snorts] You can view your documents also over here to check whether you have uh filled the correct uh or uploaded the correct documents or not. Okay. In this in these column present and permanent address proof. Okay. It should be in PDF size. So you can put this upload. Okay. Okay. Okay. So I have uploaded all the documents over there. In the upload document sections I have uploaded the my passport size photograph left hand and right hand finger and thumb impression signature 10th mark sheet certificate 10th passing certificate and uh NRI OCI foreign certificate or documentary proof. Okay. And then um you have to put your put the documents of the present and permanent address proof also. Okay. So save and next. done. Okay. Now here I have to do the final submission. Okay. All the details which I have filled already it is given over here. Okay. It is given over here. I have to just confirm everything that I have filled the correct details or not. Okay. Okay. Now I agree and final submission of the application. Okay. What is wrong over here? State from where 12th? uh 12th is not same as 12th qualifying examination state. Please correct the details so that there is no mismatch. Qualification details. Okay. In the qualification details what I have not uh written correctly. Okay. I think Bangalore. Okay. Done. Final submit. Again I have to confirm everything. Done done. I hope it it will submit it will get submitted. Okay. Again what is there? Please correct the details so that there is no mismatch in person and okay I think in the personal section I have mentioned some other state of the 12 and in qualifying examination state I have mentioned something else. Okay. So I need to match this. I have mentioned over here some other state. Okay. I have to match this. Okay. Now it is done. I have to confirm all this thing again. Okay. Now I will finally submit the application form. I have corrected the state. Okay. I have mentioned some other state in the and some other state in the qualification details. Okay. Since you have to register for your exams, kindly carefully check each and each and every details carefully. Okay, there should be no mismatch. I agree. Now, final submission of application. Okay, so now I have filled my the details for the application form. My application form is completed. Registration is also done. I have to do the fee payment. Okay. Since I was in a general, I have selected a general category. So, I have to pay 1,700 rupees. Okay. So, you have to fill the uh fee. But before filling the field, you have to verify your email id. Okay. Email ID yet to be verified. Now, the email ID which I have registered in the uh will receive an OTP. I'll have have to fill the OTP over there. Okay. Waiting for the OTP. [snorts] Okay. So, first what I have to do I have to enter the capture YW1180 and then submit and get OTP. I'll receive an OTP 486. Done. It's verified. Okay. Now the last step of the application form is pay examination fee. You can select the online payment, proceed for the payment. Okay. So like you can use your debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking. Okay. Anything and then go for the payment. Okay. Suppose I'm selecting the UPI from SPI. Okay. Proceed for the payment. Okay. Uh net banking you can do. You can do the transaction with debit cards, credit card. Okay. So this was the last step. After filling out the application form, you will get the be able to download your application form. Kindly download the application form after filling out the uh sorry after paying the fees and keep like somewhere write your application number and remember your password. Okay.
