Australia the 2024 theme is safety is
everyone's business and it's important
because everyone who can influence a
good safety outcome should use that
influence and that's what we want to
reinforce during this month um to ensure
that every worker goes home safe
so the first weekly topic is work health
and safety
fundamentals and these are important
because they're the basic elements of
how to manage work health and safety in
your workplace so essentially they are
risk management risk identification and
assessment consultation with your
workers training competency and then
reviewing your risk management systems
and your controls to make sure they're
still working properly the safety
campaign is a nice little campaign I
think as part of the uh month which
encourages workers and businesses really
anyone in the business to get together
over a cup of tea talk about safety in
their workplace and talk about ways they
can make the workplace safer I'd just
like to thank everyone for getting
involved in the campaign and making it
successful which it has been over the
years put a bit of time aside to think
about safety in the workplace and to
