NATASHA DENONA I NEED A COOL (...or nude?) Shop or DROP?!

[music] >> Uh, finally I can talk about it. The leaks have been swarming the internet for a while now, which thank you to those of you guys who DM'd them to me. But finally today Natasha Denona has officially revealed her I Need a Cool Palette. Now this is a shopper drop. I do not have this palette yet, and of course as a Natasha Denona review channel, we will be shopping this. But I am going to give you my honest thoughts about this launch because Morgan 3 years ago would have been very, very excited for this palette, but like Morgan now, I don't know. What is happening here? Anyways, let's go ahead and talk about it. Let's check out what she just posted on Instagram because she finally revealed this. I almost like got so impatient that I was going to leak it to you guys, but I was like, I feel bad doing that. All right, now you can get this information on Natasha Denona's Instagram. That's where I'm at getting this from. I Need a Cool is finally here. My newest midi eyeshadow palette, the one we've all been waiting for. Yeah, cuz we've known it existed. Continuing my I Need a series with I Need a Warm, I Need a Nude, it's finally time for the cool version you all were asking for. Honestly though, I feel like a lot of her palettes have been cool toned. She has them in her range anyways. Features 15 brand new cool tone shades, so I'm going to assume that there's no repeat shades. Timeless taupes, dusty mauves, and smoky cool browns. Like that sounds good to me. I hope this palette isn't too gray for my own personal preferences. Um, it says this is a versatile addition to everyone's collection, natural and bold looks. Okay, here are the formulas. Six creamy mattes, one silky matte, five metallics, three sparkling foiled. Okay, I think that this is a really great variety. The more variety and finishes you have, the more versatility you have with looks. Um okay, available exclusively on the app for Sephora August 17th, so just in a few days. And normally for Natasha Denona, it has an early access day, so I think since the launch day is officially August 18th, I think on the 17th you'll also be able to get it from the Natasha Denona website. And there's a ton of places that Natasha Denona is sold, so I really appreciate how they let you know when you're going to get the palettes all over the world. Okay, but let's look at the palette. Details aside, okay? Like it looks like the same exact packaging, but obviously we have like different textures here on the outside. Nothing crazy. And then, here we have it. Now, my initial very first impression of this, and I will say a lot of times Natasha Denona palettes, while I do think they do a good job with their color grading, I think it it looks good for how it looks in person, still the effect in person tends to be different. So, to me, first impressions, this looks pretty gray. And I've got to be honest, even though I used to beg for cool tones, beg for them, beg for them, I don't like cool tones on me anymore. Like I don't like gray colored cool tones. I like more of a neutral cool brown tone, which is why I like the taupes, the cool browns that she says are in here. That sounds good for me, but I'm not really seeing it. To me, these look very, very gray. And again, does this not look like a gray palette to you? Even their nails here are gray. And you know what? All my fair [snorts] skin, cool tone gals, I'm happy for you. I am. Like I said, a few years ago I would have been jumping for joy over this palette because everything used to be orange. And now I feel like this is too gray for me. But it looks pretty. Now, this is the most important question when it comes to Natasha Denona palettes. How many looks are we going to be able to get with these? Cuz this looks like a lot of silver. And even though I complain about this, if I like the color story, I don't mind it so much. Like the Tan palette that launched from Natasha Denona, even though you were limited in looks that you got, fortunately I loved the color story so much that I didn't care. This one, because I don't think I love the color story so much, I'm going to care a lot more about the lack of versatility. Because if I don't like the main look that you can get with this palette, then I'm not going to like this palette. It is pretty. It's just not my style anymore. And you know, I've come to accept that. It just is what it is. I have different preferences nowadays. And then these are the information about the shades and formulas that you're going to get. I really love the creamy matte formula. I love the metal I love all of these formulas, okay? The sparkling foil is really special. I'm attracted to this, but it if it pulls too gray on my skin, then I won't like it anymore. Like this looks good. This looks gray. So that's why it depends on how it pulls in person. Now, as always, if you didn't know, with her 15-pan midi palettes, she curates these in a way that you are supposed to be able to get a look no matter what direction you go. So you can see left to right, that creates a full look. Which sometimes only I don't know how true this is, but okay. >> [laughter] >> Bottom to top, you can create a look vertically, diagonally, quads. So I I love this idea. Remember when I did my collab with Odin's Eye? I curated my palette to be able to be used like this as well. So, I do appreciate that. Okay, so of course, I went to my collection and do we already have this palette? Now, for me instantly, first thing, I was like, is this not the Glam palette? And the Glam palette honestly pulls pretty cool on me sometimes, which is why I think if sometimes this looks too cool-toned on me, then imagine how cool-toned this is going to look on me. This one has more browns and then there's a gold here, but like cut this out, like this looks like that I need a cool palette now. This reminds me a lot of the Glam palette. What do you think? Definitely going to be some overlap of shades. Like I there's going to be some siblings here. And then you might not remember this because this, I believe, was a limited edition palette, but Natasha Denona has gone as cool as they come with this complete grayscale palette, the Xenon. So cool, these almost turned blue. This is definitely going to be different for sure. Looking at them side by side, this is like a true blue-based, blue-undertoned grayscale palette here, but she has done a true cool palette before and do I reach for this palette? No. I don't, but I love that she went there with this. These were the days when she would launch palettes like these. Natasha, you know what I want from you. You know what I want from you. I want the OG 28-pan palettes in a midi size with slightly updated formulas and colors. That's not this. The old Natasha would have had that. That's what I need. Anyways, we also have the I Need a Nude, which this looks very much like the I Need a Cool. I mix them up. The Glam palette is not as cool as I was talking about. This is the one where I feel like is super cool-toned and gray on me with the random pops of peach. These look almost exactly the same to me. If you take out these two, is this not the I Need a Cool palette? Obviously, it's not going to look like the I Need a Warm palette. Wow, this is pretty. But the I Need a Nude palette and I need I I would hope that when she was creating this palette, she had the I Need a Nude palette and put them side by side and was very specific in her choices to not make it look like this palette, but like it looks like this palette. I'm telling you like I think we might already have this palette. I don't know. I don't know. I would imagine, since this is literally from the same exact line, there's not going to be too much overlap. But that's why I'm going to I'm going to purchase this palette and I'm going to do the side by sides with these guys and I will I will tell you whether or not you need this palette. Um listen, I'm excited about any Natasha Denona palette that launches because I'm such a fan of the brand and regardless, even if I have my critiques of the palettes, I think the quality is amazing and if you love the quality of Natasha Denona like I do, you're going to love this palette so long as it's a color story that you enjoy. But we've had a lot of neutrals lately and I used to praise the brand because they definitely were creative and would come out with these unique color stories like every other launch and then in the launches in between, they come out with launches for us boring people, but it is a lot of boring lately, Natasha, which I'm happy about, but I know not everybody is and then I don't know, the brand just used to not be like that. But it makes sense. I mean, sorry, colorful eyeshadow isn't what people are looking for nowadays. It's not what is trending, which is what the majority of people buy. Um I'm indefinitely overall I am intrigued about this palette. I do worry it's going to be a little bit too gray for my preferences. But I'm looking forward to try it. I think it's pretty, but I do think it's suspiciously close to I need a nude. So let's see what you guys think. Definitely playing it safe here. I don't need it. This is like a random thought that I have, but don't ask about what makeup I'm wearing right now. I filmed the worst makeup of 2026 this morning so I'm wearing makeup that is breaking down every second. Like I've only worn this makeup for 2 hours. I needed to get that off my chest anyways. Adora says, "I don't need it." We don't need anything. That doesn't stop us here in this space. This is a safe place. Ooh, uh This is so Naked 2 coded and I love it. I like that comparison. I do. Added to cart. Do I need it? No. Will I buy it? Absolutely. Honestly, screenshot, paste it on my forehead. That's the motto of this channel. You are with the right people. I can picture you saying this. How is this different from I need a nude? I am enraged. They are pretty close. I love nudes, but too many brown shades. Also, they are not so cool. You don't think so? I feel like they are now. I feel like people's idea of cool tone is very, very different. When I say cool tone, I think of like neutral cool tones, brown cool tones. Even though yes, by definition, like what is actually cool here is the Xenon palette. So, I I get it. I get it. But for me, it still looks like it's leaning a little too gray. Very cute. Very cool. Gorgeous. Honestly, I do think even though I have my critiques, the palette itself, it is very, very beautiful. It is. Not sure. It's pretty, but I'm not sure it's different enough from the Glam and Nude. Yes. If you feel this way, hold off. Do not purchase this palette. Wait for my review because I will do exact swatch swatch comparisons so that you can see if this is something that you would need. Um I can't say no to Miss Natasha. It's a shop for me. Heard and understood. Is it the same shades repeated? Yes. Do I need it? Also, yes. Looks very icy. See, I feel like it looks really gray as well. Okay, this one will be the last one. Uh but I think this is a cool point. So cute, but Morphe already has a cool tone palette that is so similar and great color payoff. I'm not sure which palette you're talking about. Hold on, I'm looking it up on my laptop. But Morphe is back on the map, you guys. Is it the Chroma palettes? I don't know.
