My Response to MoistCr1TiKaL reacting to my viral video

About 20 hours ago, I was sitting right here watching episode 78 of Dragon Ball. And that's when I got a text from my wife. Baby Charlie, you're in it. You're in a Charlie video. It's as if Shenron himself descended from the sky and granted a wish of mine. At first, I thought she meant I was inside of Charlie. But that can't be true because she's the only one I'm allowed to be inside of. Now, before we get into my response to this video because there's a lot in here, I just want to give an update on the entire situation. Era Green is still a piece of [ __ ] and remove your media are still a bunch of frauds. Yep, that's pretty much it. Let's get to the video. Pardon my bed head, by the way. Knowing I was at a moist critical video yesterday, I slept like a baby. Huge copyright strike situation. Well, I'm going to correct you right there, Mr. Moist. I wouldn't be using huge. I'd be saying humongous. So maybe next time. Don't downplay our situation, buddy. I'm joking, guys. I'm joking. Okay. Okay. Okay. If you're new here, this is my humor. I don't want EDP's [ __ ] pics in my inbox. All right. Schoolhouse Rock taught us that three is a magic number and that remains true to this day. It also happens to be how many times I have motorboated this topic in the last week. But it is extremely important and it's only getting worse. So I'm once again I've always wanted to be part of a Moist critical video because he always opens these videos with these crazy things like like how do you even think of that? Before he creates these videos, does he write the intro and then just goes off of that or does he just come up with that on the spot? >> Spreading the legs on this like a Thanksgiving turkey. Copyright strike abuse on YouTube. It is spiraling out of control and it's reaching numbers I >> Oh my god, bro. [laughter] 109. These are like [ __ ] Bellatro numbers at [clears throat] this point here. 109 copyright strikes on this one channel alone. Having three strikes on your channel leads to a termination within a week. You get three strikes, the clock starts ticking. Having 109, >> you don't just lose your channel, you lose your life. YOU TRYING TO GET A COPYRIGHT STRIKE FROM ERIC GREEN. >> SO, I started covering this topic a few days ago and I wanted to see how things developed. So, >> it's the numbers have only gotten bigger. Number go way up. So, >> a ton of channels, tons and tons of anime focused channels, mainly anime reaction channels are getting hundreds of strikes, losing. I've seen one >> mainly anime reaction channels. But I want to make this clear, it's not just reaction channels, it's also review channels. people just talking about the anime. Some of them not even using pictures from the anime, but simply because they talk about the anime and the animes in the title of their [ __ ] video. It was struck. >> Channel lose like 600 videos being struck, taken down. >> By the way, 600 plus videos were removed from Rice and Jinger's channel. They still have a bunch of strikes and they're not able to post on their channel. As you see right here, their last upload was 7 days ago where they have to talk about their channel being deleted. I think they just posted a little update. Just an update. Sushi squad still fighting all the strikes. Currently still 53 strikes awaiting review after we have submitted our appeals. Most have wishes have been rejected. Their appeals are being rejected. This is still an ongoing situation. I want to make this clear. Just because you see all of these channels popping up again doesn't mean we're safe. They're still dealing with the aftermath. That is [ __ ] So now I need to try and get a hold of a real person to push these through. You're more likely to find a real person in the abyss. You're more likely to find a real person at the depths of the ocean. Our channel termination now says September 9th, but is currently on hold. Their life is on the line right now. I want y'all to go show them support. They need it right now. And they're good [ __ ] people. Great [ __ ] people. And I'm blessed to know them. >> There's a lot going on. And some of it is not eyebrow raising at all. Like full anime episodes that are getting reacted to. [snorts] >> Come on, don't even pretend [laughter] to be shocked. Like every listen, I am not here to talk about the morality or the legality of anime reactions. All you'll hear me say about this is this fair use transformative content. There's a gray area within all of it. If you're sitting there with the episode playing, not adding any commentary, nothing, then yeah, I agree with this. But if you're bringing something else that transforms the original content where people come to your videos for you, not for the content you're watching, you don't know how many comments I get where people are like, "Nick, I don't even care about what you're watching. We just want to watch you." That is the response you want to get from your audience. You don't want to get a response like, "Stop pausing. Shut the [ __ ] up. I'm trying to watch the show." I got those people out of my audience when I first started. So if you're one of those people that listen to that crowd and you perform nothing transformative, then yeah, whatever happens to your content happens. Everyone always knew that that was not strictly speaking allowed. >> Yeah. >> But there is a completely separate thing that is happening in tandem with this that is blatant copyright abuse. But yeah, one of the big things here is that there are a lot of channels that are having hundreds of videos taken down. Mhm. >> A lot of them being anime reactions. Oh, yeah. >> Now, brace yourself for the cold water. It's not going to be a popular thing to say, but it is true. So, >> ju just say it. I know what he's going to say. He's going to say it's not fair use or whatever or something along the lines of that. Maybe not that, but he's going to say something along the lines of, "What do you think is going to happen? Look what you're watching. >> Here comes the airplane with the vegetables." It's not overly surprising. Anime reaction content on YouTube and Twitch by extension has always existed in a gray area where it's allowed to persist only because the rights holders turn a blind eye to it or just don't know about it. >> It's not that they don't know about it. It's it's that it costs too much to take down. For them to take down anime reactions, there's way too many channels. And it's not even just anime reactions. It's also the movie reaction channels. It's also to TV show reaction channels. It's also the gaming reaction channels. Most YouTubers are reaction channels. I'd even like to say Penguin Zero Charlie is a reaction channel. He reacts to news. He reacts to updates to trailers. But mostly, I'd say Moist Critical is like a commentary channel. But still, at the end of the day, we're all reacting to something. But we're talking about anime channels specifically. We're watching anime that you need to watch through a subscription service. And most of the time, that subscription service is Crunchyroll, which was formerly a website that provided pirated anime. So, it really makes you think about all of this. Who's right? Who's wrong? But at the end of the day, what I say is this. Who cares? As long as your content is transformative. Every time you get a copyright claim, appeal it, see what happens. It's not a brand new phenomenon. There are some things about it that are new and are blatant abuse of the copyright systems on YouTube, which are the ones I'm really going to yap about. But the overall talk around like anime reactions are fair use >> in some cases. There are examples of channels that do it properly, but in most cases, these are like 25 minute videos where 15 minutes of the anime episode is just playing uninterrupted. And even if it is interrupted, >> well, that's the thing. On my YouTube channel specifically, I'll take a 22-minute anime episode and the reaction will be like 8 minutes long. It's more like highlights. I show like a highlight reel of my reactions to the episode. Nobody is coming to my content to watch the anime itself. They're coming for my reaction. Just go back to the One Punch Man drama. Nobody was watching One Punch Man season 3. They wanted to watch my review. They wanted to see me ripping it apart, pulling my pants down, spreading my cheeks, and [ __ ] all over it like a whoa during a hype or aura moment. >> That's a stretch to call it, you know, fair use eligible now. And it's not like this is a bombshell revelation. and the channels themselves know it. Which is why in a lot of these anime reactions, you'll find the footage playing in like a small box that they [ __ ] up a little bit, whether through filters or through changing the opacity or tilting it or even like putting it upside down or just changing the orientation. They do these things on purpose to try and skirt the copyright tools so that way it doesn't get flagged and detected. So like they >> and this isn't rocket science. Everybody knows this. This isn't some biblical artifact you find in the tombs of Egypt. All right? We all know this. And I'm not saying that in response of him, but I'm saying this in response to anybody watching this right now. This is a fossil you dig up underneath the earth. We all know what we're doing. There's a gray area inside of it. >> No. As well, it it's hard to make a strong argument that that's fair use. Like, anyone remember on Twitch a couple years ago, the big trend was for these huge streamers just watching entire seasons of anime without permission. People were rightfully chirping up talking. >> Well, okay. So, I have a little argument about this, right? The people that are given permission are shills most of the time. Every single post of theirs related to an anime is a sponsored post. Any game that they play is usually sponsored. If you ask me, I think the wrong people are being paid to watch these anime on stream. And guess what? Those people that are paid to watch anime, they're not even talking about this situation right now. But that's why I really appreciate Moist Critical talking about this because you have people that represent the anime community that still will not make a single comment about the situation when this is the same community that gave them a purpose >> about how that's just blatant copyright infringement and it's like really silly and also on YouTube. Do you remember like Suzil? Oh yeah, [ __ ] Susie Lou by the way. After everything she has been through, I don't think she has made a comment about this at all. It's selfish [ __ ] like this that I hate to see in a community that she's a part of. >> Used to be public enemy number one on YouTube when she like did some false flagging, but she is also just an anime reaction YouTube channel that >> Suzil is the Eric Green of anime reactions. >> Everyone was pointing the finger at like how does she get away with it? This isn't shocking new information. Like people I think do at their core understand that when you're just going to be plastering most of an anime episode in a YouTube video, you are playing with fire. Okay, so I'm sure he's going to talk about this more as the video goes on, but let me just say it right now. If that was the case, right, let's say the only videos that were being taken down were anime episodes, right? Then I would somewhat understand. I would still appeal it. the video would still be reinstated, but I would at least understand and I wouldn't really make a big deal about it like I am. And I'm sure he's going to get into it, which is what this video is about. It's about everything else. Most of the videos that were taken down, and I can speak for myself and call, which I think he's about to show, a lot of the videos that were taken down weren't even anime episode reactions. Sometimes it was videos where I'm just talking to the camera or a picture of an anime. So, I don't think it should be surprising to see a lot of channels that have tons and tons of that content having it taken down. What is surprising is the speed at which it's happened where it's very clearly an AI tool that's doing so. There's not a single [ __ ] human being on this planet. I don't care how much of like a soulless loser you are. There's not enough hours in the day to be filing this many. >> Especially when you're in your 70s, which Eric Green is. My dad is nearing 70 right now. You think he's watching [ __ ] Naruto videos on his phone? take down requests and all of these strikes. And they also flew too close to the sun because they're not just taking down things like full anime reactions or anything like that. They are also taking down videos that are just talking about anime without showing a single image or video from the anime they're talking about. So, this channel here in particular is having hundreds of their videos taken down. I think they've lost like 600 videos that have been struck. And now they also had a community post. Me and Coco were talking about this. I remember telling him, "Bro, I think this guy has it out for you, man." Like every day it was like a 100 strikes. It was crazy. Imagine waking up in the morning and you see over 600 videos of yours removed. Hundreds of strikes, email saying your channel's about to be deleted. Honestly, bro, I'm surprised I'm still here right now. >> Of theirs get struck as well for copyright infringement because they had an image of an anime in their post. Oh, but they own the rights to the image. If any of you have that argument, go on the Clorox website and then buy a box of straws. That's all I'll say. So, they're they're claiming the image and then striking them for the usage there, which I didn't even know was something on the table. I have never heard of that in my entire 20 years on this platform. That is [ __ ] wild. I'm somewhat concerned even just showing that community post here because of that image. I wonder if they will try and hit this. >> YOU'RE DONE, BRO. YOU HAVE ANIME FIGURES in the back. Like literally, I see Saitama. Like I said before, you're done. You're [ __ ] done. Your channel's gone. >> This video because I am covering it and that image is there. >> Well, let me answer that with a no. It's not going to happen to you. And not because of your channel size and who you are, but the reason why that post was taken down if you bring it back. It's because it says Oshi no co in the title. And what this system does, this AI system does that Eric Green and Remove Your Media uses is it's keyword related. So it searches through channels for any keywords related to their copyright takedowns. Oshino Co, Bleach, Naruto, Hunter Hunter, and it removes everything related to those words. So the AI system can't distinguish between this and an anime reaction because it believes it's an anime reaction. somehat concerned even just showing that community post him covering it and that image is there. That would be pretty outrageous if you ask me. That is a promotional image from what I can tell looking it up on Google images. I even find >> articles from outlets that have had that same image in them. >> So why, >> by the way, I just want to say this reaction channels are the best form of promotion for an anime because these anime companies have no idea how to promote their anime. >> They not been copyright struck. If you think that's the extent of it and it can't go lower, you're wrong. Rules for me, not this number here. >> So, I made a video like a year ago where I was yapping about my disappointment with One Punch Man season 3's animation. >> I was disappointed, too, buddy. >> The same YouTube channel actually made a reaction to my video where I was talking about it. There is not even a split second of footage from the One Punch Man anime in my video. And by extension, his reaction to my video also has no footage. Yet, he still got a lot strike for it. Thus, it is now like the impression like the what it leads you to believe is that I copyright struck him. >> And before we get to the clip, I just want to say this. Call was also hit with a strike for reacting to a video of mine where I'm in a hotel bathroom, a Disney hotel bathroom talking to the camera about One Punch Man. So, not only did Moyes Critical strike him down, I did as well. Me and Moyes Critical are actually in with Viz Media. We're actually both co-owners of Remove Your Media LLC. I am Eric Green. And look what we have here. I can't believe John Wick, he would sell out like this. He's now corroborating with Viz Media. That's right. You know why? because you have a One Punch Man figure in your background that is owned by Viz Media and Eric Green, by the way. So, because of that, I agree. I think you're next, buddy. I might send in a report myself acting to me. So, [snorts] it does feel like, hey, maybe it was Charlie that did that. That's [ __ ] crazy. So, now they can just strike something that's entirely unrelated to the rights that they have. You can't just strike someone because they talk about your show. If you talk about a show, you're still talking about an IP and if the IP holder wants to strike you down, they have the right to. No, they don't. That's not how this world works, buddy. Anime reaction channels, anime review channels, we promote these products better than anybody else does. Millions and millions, hundreds of millions of views for anime content. This even goes to Tik Tok or Instagram reels or YouTube shorts where people are creating AMVs. We're doing all of this to promote the anime. Our videos get more views than the trailers for the anime. >> They don't have the rights. >> What the [ __ ] IS GOING ON, BRO? LIKE, BRO, THIS IS scaring me. >> Like, that's never how that's worked. They don't have the right to do so. And there's a lot of instances of this happening where channels that are showing no anime footage and are just talking about an anime or reacting to someone talk about an anime with no anime footage are also receiving strikes. This is where the blatant abuse of the copyright system comes into play. >> And that's why, and I'm glad he's talking about all of this because this is the core of the issue. That is why I don't care about the whole argument about the morality and legality of anime reactions. You can't watch episodes as a gray area and all of that because it's not about that anymore. It's about everything else. And when you have an AI system that is keyword related and attacking any video, even websites that just use the name bleach Clorox, it makes this whole entire copyright strike, my bad, false copyright strike takedown situation crazier. It's really two separate things. One, tons of channels are receiving hundreds of copyright strikes because of like the anime reactions and tons of channels are also receiving copyright strikes because of even just talking about anime or in that case showing an image of an anime in a community post, which I understand they have the rights to that image, but it is a promo piece that other outlets are also utilizing. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, why aren't you striking down those other outlets? It goes back to my argument of why am I getting a strike for reacting to another creator's video of the Naruto filler arc summarized. So if you see this video right here, I reacted to this. I'm pretty sure Head Cannon Studios doesn't have the rights to Naruto. So why is this channel's video allowed but not mine? And I'm not saying that so this video gets taken down. >> Why are you hardtargeting a YouTube community post for the strike? [snorts] Feels like it's AI getting a little hog wild there. This video right here is literally a reaction of me reacting to Moist Critical. What's he talking about? How bad One Punch Man season 3 was. And god damn, we're reaching a one-year terrible zero anime footage. Again, I'm not here to debate the nature of fair use and reaction content. I'm trying to show you how ridiculous this current scam being done by Remove Your Media is. >> That's why every single person should be against this situation. I don't care about your understanding or your defense for fair use, transformative content, or whatever. I don't care about that argument. If you see this happen, you should be against it because this is the core of the issue. When you can strike videos that you don't own just because why? Well, if you've been following the drama, it's not even drama at this point. It's because the keywords, anime keywords are in it, >> right? recognizing examples of Naruto keywords being flagged and then they're >> like look at these videos right here. This is a video by another creator. This is a video by another creator and those original creators are not getting struck down. It's an AI targeted attack against reaction channels and review channels which isn't fair if you ask me. And this is why YouTube should be on the creator side instead of being a bunch of [ __ ] and giving us AI responses themselves. Now, that name I just mentioned, Eric Green, has become an infamous one already because all of these these thousands of strikes are all tying back to remove your media. And years ago, this happened with Eric Green. It didn't really stir up that much drama. No big creators talked about this. But the difference now is I'm a part of this. Because of my connections, because of how many subscribers and viewers that I have, I was able to signal boost this to all of the top creators. I made a tweet that's now deleted because it's irrelevant now asking people with a connection to Moist Critical if they could put me in contact with him. They put me in contact with him and he said he'll look into the situation. He will definitely make a video about this. >> Specifically, Eric Green is the one that's always cited in the actual takedown information there. So, Eric Green, a lot of people had their eyes on. And a YouTuber named Nicholas Light just made a video talking about Mom, I MADE IT. [laughter] IT'S SO [ __ ] cool to hear my name come out of those lips of his. I'm not going to lie. I'm rock solid right now. I'm not I'm not going to lie >> about how he's now getting sued. He apparently received a cease and desist for his coverage of all of this. He's one of the channels affected that's about to lose one of their channels from the content being struck so much. Nick [ __ ] bro. This is crazy. [laughter] I'M I'M ON A [ __ ] VOICE CRITICAL VIDEO, BRO. WHAT IS LIFE? PEOPLE that bullied me in high school or elementary school, they probably watch Voice Critical and they're seeing me right now for the first time in how long? Well, if you're seeing this, go [ __ ] yourselves. I hate every single one of you. I always have. I'm on top now, [ __ ] Where are you? And by the way, I just want to say this again. It's crazy to me that one of the biggest channels in the world, Moist Critical, is talking about this. He's not even in the anime niche, but there's still people on top of the anime niche that still refuse to talk about this. They're probably sitting on their master's lap right now as we speak. Nicholas Lights, Remove Your Media LLC, is writing to formerly demand that you immediately cease making false public statements about our company, our enforcement practices, and Eric Green shot ruining my livelihood, going after my channels, false copyright strike, and >> look at that. Look at that [ __ ] right there. my Boruto poll asking people should I watch every episode or skip the manga cannon. I guess the creator of Boruto was so pissed that I asked that they just struck it down. But what do you know? It wasn't them. It was Eric Green the [ __ ] fraud instead of me seizing my statements. How about you cease your company? Remove your media. You have engaged in a deliberate pattern of harassment and defamation directed at Evergreen and Remove Your Media LLC through private harassing emails, repeated phone calls, a counter notification to YouTube, and public video statements on YouTube. Your conduct is harassment, defamation, and bad faith. It must stop immediately. >> So, he's allegedly staring down the pipe of a cease and desist here. They're saying that he's publishing defamatory statements about their company and Eric Green in particular and her >> Yeah, I'm not saying anything defamatory because everything I'm saying is true. It's correct. And if it wasn't, Moist Critical wouldn't be putting his reputation on the line to make a video about it. He's done his research. We've all done our research. It takes a two-c [ __ ] Google search. And you don't need to do a Google search. You could do exactly what Eric Green is doing AND USE A [ __ ] AI SYSTEM, AN AI SEARCH. YOU COULD use chat GBT, Grock, Gemini. You could use the [ __ ] Game Boy Color at this point to look it up just to know that he's a fraud. What he's doing is incorrect. It's fraud. >> Harassing them. That kind of thing. From what I can tell, he's been reporting on what he's been experiencing as well as like many others in the anime community. >> And yeah, he is extremely harsh to the company and the individual. >> Of course, I'm Wait, wait, wait. So, I barely show even 30% of the anime on my YouTube channel. If they were full uncut reactions on YouTube, I would completely understand. But we're transforming the content enough so the original content so nobody's coming to our videos for the original content. They're coming for us. So that argument is invalid cuz we're strictly talking about YouTube right now. All the YouTube strikes are what I just said. Cut down anime reactions, commentary videos, review videos where they're not even showing pictures of the anime. These waves come and go and always have since the inception of YouTube where there are sometimes big sweeping takedowns of, you know, just these full anime episodes that were posted or reacted to. >> In this case, this is on the larger scale of things I've seen with hundreds and thousands of strikes that are being issued to tons of channels and it encompasses more than just those instances. There are a multitude of cases where they are targeting things that don't show any image or video of their property that they have the right. >> I mean, look what he showed previously.
