MY 2027 PLANNER FORECAST | WHAT'S NEW TO MY PLANNER LINEUP | HOBONICHI | HAPPY PLANNER
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
In this video, the creator shares her exciting forecast and plans for her 2027 planner lineup, focusing on new acquisitions from Happy Planner, Hobonichi, and Cloth & Paper. She begins by showcasing a Happy Planner she purchased specifically to support her wellness journey, which includes running, meal planning, and fitness tracking. Although she initially intended to change the cover, she decided to keep the original design after receiving it. The planner features a yearly overview from July to June and minimal monthly layouts that she finds appealing for its simplicity. She particularly loves the weekly layout, which allows her to plan workouts alongside breakfast, lunch, dinner, and notes. To enhance functionality, she added half-sheet inserts for grocery lists and important tasks, effectively turning the planner into a dedicated fitness journal while also leaving room for occasional home or life updates.
The creator then introduces her first Hobonichi Weeks notebook in A6 size, which she plans to use as a portable memory-keeping tool starting in December 2026. Despite having used Hobonichi products before without much success, this one has captured her interest due to its compact, on-the-go nature and the included ephemera like stickers and charms. She intends to use it for daily journaling about activities such as runs or doctor's appointments, capturing moments with photos and printed notes. Alongside this, she also highlights a notebook from Cloth & Paper that she has embraced as a running journal, using it to log her daily runs and attach printed images of events like her son's medical appointments. This shift marks a significant change from her previous preference for bound notebooks, showing her willingness to adapt to new formats that suit her current lifestyle needs.
Finally, she details her use of Cloth & Paper pocket tea-style notebooks, which serve as versatile on-the-go planners and brain dump tools. One notebook functions as a monthly overview with space for activity rings and stickers, while another acts as a weekly planner where she tracks expenses, affirmations, and shopping lists before transferring items to her main planner. A third notebook is used for daily executive notes, providing ample space for writing down tasks and ideas that can later be organized into her primary system. The fourth notebook serves as a dedicated brain dump area where she lists everything on her mind, checking off completed items and moving them to her top priorities for the day. Throughout the video, she emphasizes her love for small, portable planners that allow her to stay organized while traveling or running errands, noting that these smaller formats work perfectly for her current needs even if she carries larger bags during other seasons.

Hey friends, welcome to or welcome back
to Norris Cove. If you're new here, I'm
Yoshida and here at the Cove, we like to
budget and plan in confidence. But today
you guys, I have sort of a little haul
um slashhappy meal slash
my
planner semi lineup predictions for
2027. So, let's hop right into it. So,
this first thing, let me say this. This
first thing I was heavily influenced by
Bri. Um I saw her recently and she had
brought her Happy Planner that she's
been using. And this is when I first
started doing my uh my new running
eating wellness program that I had
gotten from Chad. And I was like looking
through it, I was like, "Oh my god, I
love the layout and this would work for
what I'm doing in this season." So, let
me order that. And here it is. So,
here's the planner. It's the Happy
Planner. And from the website and even
looking at hers, I was like, I'm going
to change the cover. I already know I'm
going to change the cover. But for some
reason, when it came, and it just came
today, when it came, I was like, you
know what? I kind of like this cover.
So, I may not be changing it. I was just
going to do a dashboard. And I actually
have like a cover from Cloth and Paper
coming, which is probably like a
dashboard, but I was just going to use
it as a cover. So, let me show you what
I fell in love with it about this um
Happy Planner. Now, you know, I already
have the I use the classic for my
budgeting and things like that, but I've
always wanted like a home planner. I was
going to turn my A5 into that. So, if
this does not work for what I want it to
work for, it will probably turn into my
home planner. Well, first of all, you
got this. You have 26 and 207
yearly overview.
Then these pages, I, you know, I have
these in most of my planners. So, I've
already like wrote down something for
September. And so what I'm using it for,
if I have not explained, is for my
wellness, my new running program, my new
meal plan, fitness, all that. So this is
pretty much my fitness like journal or
planner. Now, the only thing with Happy
Planner is you very seldom get any plain
pages. I don't like the dots, but
they're very minimal. They're not, you
know, bothering me. So yeah. So you have
that. And it's a a July to June planner.
And so this is what what the monthly
looks like. So it's minimal, which is
pretty good. I like that it's minimal.
And then we get into
this is what sold me on this planner was
the layout of the weekly. So, in my
mind, I think originally I said I could
do the workout plan, breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and then any notes I could put
at the bottom here on the planner. So,
that's what intrigued me about this
planner. So, when I got it, I went to
play with it a little bit. So, let's
see.
So, just planning it a little bit. I
went ahead and put my workouts I did
this week. And sadly, I had not been
following like the meal plan and
everything. Doctor's appointments got me
off all of that. Also, I ordered some of
these half sheets where it's like a full
note sheet
like that. I took in like, you know,
what I plan to cook for next week, the
grocery list, and then here, um, it is
things to do. Excuse me, don't forget
things to do and important. So, I really
like that and I think that's perfect for
a weekly. And then also
I picked up a pack of these notes. And
I'm pretty sure I have some more Happy
Planner notes somewhere that I still had
from years ago. And then here's a pack
of those um note pages. So yeah. So
that's what my plan is for the Happy
Planner is just to use it for my
wellness journey, my workout, meal
planning, all that great stuff. And I
may throw a few life things in there or
home things in there, but some of it
will replicate into my personal planner
as well. But when I saw the layout, I
fell in love with the layout and I was
trying to like get the layout in another
planner, but they didn't have it. This
one was on sale. So, we're going to work
with it. And I may change my mind, you
know, next year. Like I said, it may go
into just a home planner, but for right
now, I'm working with it as my workout
planner. And it just works for this
season that I'm in right now. So, next
up, this is going to be a surprise to
you guys cuz if you know, I am not I
mean, okay, let me say this.
My original way of planning was a
notebook. And I think I was talking to
Bria about this that I've always before
getting into the planning community, if
I didn't have a planner, I used a one
subject notebook, three subject
notebook, one of the little tiny
notebooks, long as I could just kind of
write things down and everything stayed
in that notebook. So, you had it for the
whole year. So, but when they started
talking about Hobonichi and things like
that, I was just like, I don't think I'm
interested in I don't want a bound
notebook. I want to be able to customize
it and this and that. Well, guess who
has a Hobonichi?
A Hobonichi.
So, I don't know. I was just on TikTok
and I'm watching the girls in their
Hobonichi and I think I may have bought
when Kane had his shop. I can't remember
the name of the shop. I bought a
Hobonichi Weeks. I use it for probably a
good week or two and I want to say I had
ordered a Hobonichi some years ago and
just never used it, never revisited or
anything. But this is pretty much my
first real Hobonichi. And I got it in
AS6 size. And let me tell you why I got
it in A6 size is because it reminded me
of a CP petite. Of course, I've used A6
and it's a great on the-go. Now, my plan
for this
is to Oh, and it came with this right
here, which is so cute. It looks like
you punch this out, but I just want to
leave it like a bookmark or some
ephmera. So, um it starts in December of
2026.
Y'all know better than I know. And so
what I plan to do is going to plan my
month in here for December, things that
can carry over to January. But I wanted
it as like a daily kind of
like not necessarily reference, but like
a daily um memory keeping um just
something to kind of jot down, maybe
grab and go and take with me. Um I'm
looking for covers for it. I actually
have a clear cover that was supposed to
come with it. This was also delivered
today and the clear cover is coming
tomorrow. It was supposed to be here
today. So, yeah. I don't know, but I can
kind of see me using this and just like
I don't know. Um my original plan for
this was to
um do like some memory keeping in it.
Okay, but let me show you. So, we got
the Hobonichi. We're definitely using
this in 2027.
That's another thing you guys know. I
normally do not have my planners
together until
the February of the year. I don't really
know what I'm using until February. All
this could change, but since I've bought
this over Hobonichi is definitely going
into my 2027 lineup. Now, the HP classic
that I just showed you, I have no idea.
Okay. So, while I was waiting on the
Hobonichi,
I remembered that we had gotten this in
a cloth and paper box. It came with
everything that you need, the inserts,
everything. But the inserts are for
2027. Okay. But also, I think in either
that box or the box before that, we
received these notebooks, right? And of
course when I got it I was just like
what what I'm supposed to do with this?
This is not the type planner that I am.
So while I was waiting on the Hobonichi
and I said I just want to get my
Hobonichi fix. I said hey I got this
notebook. I can use this. So this is
what I'm using it for. I am using it as
like a memory keeper right now. And
honestly I like this. So this is my very
first spread in here.
very first. So, yesterday uh my son had
a follow-up appointment and so I just
filled it out. I took pictures while we
were there that I could put in there. Me
and my husband went to the mall, did a
little shopping and stuff, so I just did
all of that. These are my son's x-rays
and so I just filled it in. I actually
just printed this on Canva and then it's
just regular paper and I took it off and
just glued it in because I knew what I
wanted the spread to look like because
yesterday was so full. I knew that I
would use two pages. You guys, I love
this. I'm not even gonna hold you. So
then this was today.
And I actually I'm going to take another
picture, print it, and then put it down
here of today. And so I was like, okay,
I can maybe use this as a running like
notebook. So keep up with my runs. So I
did um you know, just journal about my
run today. And let me tell you, I love
it. Okay. And then we got this this
little pocket too as well. I think this
was the June box. So, it set us up for
everything. Okay. And so, I have that
little film trip that they send. And
then I have the stickers that came in
that box. And then these are some of the
things that I just printed yesterday to
like stick in here. So, and I just have
a pen in here. I think this pen was
actually in this box as well. And it
came with a bunch of little well, not a
bunch, but three little charms. So, I
just stuck that one on there. And um but
y'all,
I am loving this. Like, oh my god, I am
really loving this. And I just did not
think I would be a notebook girl. Um
especially like carrying around, but
here we are. Okay, here we are. But I am
absolutely in love with this as well.
Now, here's the last thing because you
all have seen this I think. If not, I've
shown it on my Tik Tok. But this is the
pocket tea. And of course, I got this
from cloth and paper. And I bought the
inserts. I bought the cover. All that
great stuff. And I actually had an extra
notebook in there, but it wasn't like
closing like I wanted it to. size of
your sheet and you're trying to make it
like a thick planner and it's not a
thick planner. So, just take a notebook
out that you're not really using. So,
let me explain to you what I'm using
this for. Now, I'm going to go in and
change the covers. We're going to go
over all of these planners in another
video, how I plan to use them, any deco
that I'm putting in it. Anything that
I'm changing in these, I will definitely
do a video about that. So, how I'm using
this, at least in the beginning, how I
was using it, it was matching like my CP
petite. It is like an onthe-go planner.
I said I wasn't going to do TN.
Here we are. So,
this is the cover, the inside of the
cover. It's got this from the coffee
monsters Cove, some little stickers, and
then it has a monthly. So, I have a
month on a page. So, that's another
thing. I made these um
activity ring stickers today because
that's one of my challenges for my you
know wellness program is to close my
rings every day and so I'll be bringing
these to the shop don't worry and so um
I filled out this month
and then I was looking at I don't know I
think I was watching a YouTube video and
a girl was showing like her TMs and
stuff and so like when they when it's
like a hobi type of out and they have
all this empty over here. They just kind
of sticker it up a little bit. And so
you'll see that later. And so I've
already kind of decorated for October.
Love it. Okay. And then so this first
book is a month. Okay. And then the
second one is my weeks. And this is me
using it in February. And I just did a
week and that was it. So, what I was
doing with it in February, was, of
course, just using it like a regular
weekly, very minimal. I was writing down
um just some to-dos and things like that
that couldn't fit over here, things to
buy. And yeah,
so now this is this week. Today's
Saturday, so this is this week. And I
filled it up. Okay. And this little
washi tape came in this month's box, the
September box. And then this is some
stickers I had. I think I got from Hobby
Lobby. This is one of my old box
stickers, the decadence. And then this
was my week over here. And then like
over here, I have an expense like when I
spent gas. So I put that there and a
sticker. And then I do affirmations on
this side. Anything to buy. And I think
I like that. I like that. Okay. So now
I've kind of already started doing next
week. And then this is just a little
sticky note I got from the Walmart that
was on sale and um I've already started
next week. So I'll fill that out later
as things come up, but I want to get it
into my main planner first before I
copied over to here. So this will kind
of be a replica, a duplicate of what's
in my personal. It's going to kind of be
the same what's in my personal. That way
I can just kind of grab and go. I can do
grocery listing here and all that. So,
my third book is
this I was using as a daily
and this is the this is the executive
notes that I was using as a daily just
to have more space kind of, you know,
write down things that I'm doing day by
day, just to-dos. And so, that was the
first page.
This is the second page. And then, um,
this was yesterday. So, I just stuck
that extra sticker of my son's X-ray in
there. Um, and I like this because I can
move things. I can check things off. And
some things go in here first. When I was
using it, a lot of things went in here
first before it went into like my CPT on
my regular planner. All right. So, let's
get on to the fourth book. And the
fourth book which I like and it was very
effective. It is my brain dump notebook.
So here over here is a list of things
that I needed to get done. But what I
did was I just moved stuff from here to
my regular planner and I checked it off.
I came back and checked it off. If you
know, you know I'm a listister and I
love checking some things off. So, I
just made a brain dump and I would move
it over to like my top three, top five
for the day and move it over. And as I
got them done, I came back, checked it
off. And then on this side, it's the
same thing. Each day, I just did a brain
dump. And sometimes it would just kind
of be the same. Maybe this over here,
just getting it out of my brain. And
then a lot of times, not. And then this
was also February as well. And just a
few little stickers.
to-dos
and then anything that would pop in my
head goes in here. And actually, so I
did this entry like February and then I
did this one the 17th of September and
then I think, excuse me, this one the
18th. And so like anything that pops in
my head, it goes in this one. And I
think that's the fourth notebook. And
that's it. And then I just have this
card and clip on cloth and paper. And
that's it. And then in the back, which
I'm going to change, it's just um
this card
that um excuse me, I put in here to um
just for some deco.
And that's it. But I will say I'm loving
this. I love the feel of it. I kind of
want to I started with another little
Patchport TN cover I think I had for it,
but I just love the feel of this. I love
the way that it, you know, just
I would hate to think that I'm a small
planner person because I really don't
think that I am, but I believe that I am
because small planners just work for me.
I just like being able to do this or
carry it. Now, in the winter or the
fall, I carry a bigger bag. So I I
carried a bigger bag in the summer, but
I can just throw this in my bag if I
don't want to just pick this up because
this can become even though it's a
personal, it can become a little heavy,
but I can just pick this up and it will
kind of just duplicate this. So my
doctor's appointments in here, I can put
a grocery list in here. If I spend
money, I have a section of what I spent
for the day I can put in here. That's
it. So that's like what's the forecast
for my 2027. Now, I do have other
planners that I'll be using, so I'm
going to go a little more in depth, but
I just wanted to show you guys like the
new things that I got and my plan for
those new things. So, I hope you guys
